Liberal Rutgers Group Asks That Condoleezza Rice Be Denied Honorary Degree Because She's Black and Conservative

Have you heard the news?

Condoleezza Rice lacks “moral authority.” She fails to meet the standards of “exemplary citizenship” and she does not have what it takes to “inspire” graduating college seniors.

That crazy thinking comes from the New Brunswick Faculty Council of Rutgers University. They voted last week to ask university leadership to cancel Rice’s invitation to be this year’s Commencement Speaker and receive an honorary degree.

Yes, apparently the first African-American woman to serve as National Security Adviser and the nation’s Secretary of State doesn’t have what it takes to be honored by Rutgers.

Rice holds a Ph.D. in political science. She has taught college for decades. She was Provost of Stanford University. She worked her way up from a working-class family in the segregated South to the highest echelon of world power and politics.

But according to the Rutgers faculty council, all of that is negated by her service in President George W. Bush’s administration.

They cited her roles in pushing the false claim of weapons of mass destruction in Iraq. They also point to her support for using enhanced interrogation techniques to get information from terror suspects.

The facts are right. The conclusion is wrong.

I, too, disagreed with many of the policies Rice faithfully supported as a member of the Bush administration. But only partisan hatred can blind the faculty to her extraordinary level of accomplishment for herself and her country.

Rice is smart, disciplined, hard-working and the model of an inspiring modern American. She personifies the American Dream. She is living inspiration for a young person trying to accomplish great work no matter what the barriers. And in Rice’s generation there were some serious barriers starting with her race and gender.

That is why New Jersey Republican State Assemblywoman Mary Pat Angelini called the Rutgers faculty’s wrongheaded decision "appalling and an embarrassment to our state."

"This is nothing more than a political firestorm fueled by their hatred of an opposing ideology, and President George W. Bush in particular. Dr. Rice and the people of New Jersey deserve better," Angelini said.

There is an added element at play here. There is a disgraceful double standard amongst liberals, particularly those in academia, in the hatred they direct at black conservatives.

We saw this last April when the conservative neurosurgeon Dr. Ben Carson was forced to step down as a Commencement Speaker for Johns Hopkins University (where he ably served as the head of pediatric neurosurgery).

Liberals on the Hopkins campus mobilized against Carson because he criticized President Obama’s health care reform law and said that he opposed gay marriage.

I am not a conservative but I have spoken out for years against the staggering amount blind hatred directed at black conservatives by liberals.

Liberals are shockingly quick to demean and dismiss brilliant black people like Rice, Carson, Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas, U.S. Senator Tim Scott (R-SC), Professor Walter E. Williams and economist Thomas Sowell because they don’t fit into the role they have carved out for a black person in America.

Black Americans must be obedient liberals on all things or risk being called a race traitor or an Uncle Tom.

I’ve experienced some of this vitriol firsthand when I have veered by liberal orthodoxy. I wrote about it in my book “Muzzled – the Assault on Honest Debate.”

This shunning of Rice is especially troubling coming from a great American university. This is the place where debate and dissenting views are to be valued as sacred.

Noteworthy, although not because it’s novel. This is basically the same move Holder made three years ago in declaring that he and Obama would take the position in court that Section 3 of DOMA required “heightened scrutiny” under the Equal Protection Clause, which is a fancy way of saying that they thought the law was unconstitutional and should be struck down. It’s unusual for an AG to refuse to defend a statute in his jurisdiction, but not unheard of. Because the U.S. Constitution is the supreme law of the land, a prosecutor’s good-faith belief that a statute conflicts with it would/should lead him to oppose it. Ken Cuccinelli, in fact, refused to defend one of Bob McDonnell’s education reforms because he believed it violated the Virginia Constitution.

What makes this novel is the political position that Mark Herring’s in. He won the election for AG in November by less than a thousand votes. He was sworn in less than two weeks ago. He did note on the trail, as virtually all Democrats these days do and must, that he now supports gay marriage (he mentioned it as recently as five days before the election), but he’d voted against the practice as a legislator years before. 

There was every reason to think that, when presented with a searingly divisive issue after an excruciatingly close election, he’d want to lie low. Nope. The state will still enforce the ban on SSM until a court tells it otherwise, he says — that’s his concession to SSM opponents and jittery Democrats who fear a backlash from elected officials summarily overturning state law — but he’s going to do whatever he can to get a court to make that determination. Makes me wonder when that next step will be taken, where an AG who’s pro-SSM is elected in a state that’s trending the same way but still has a traditional marriage law on the books and he decides that he’s simply not going to enforce the law at all. If some Democrats don’t get the result they want in court fast enough, they might resort to measures like that.

Virginia Republicans are unhappy:

“By running for the office, Mark Herring asked for the challenge of defending Virginia’s constitution and all it contains,” Republican Party of Virginia Chairman Pat Mullins said in a statement.

“If Mark Herring doesn’t want to defend this case, he should resign, and let the General Assembly appoint someone who will. Mark Herring owes the people of Virginia no less,” he added…

“This lawlessness is an insult to the voters of Virginia who approved the marriage amendment by a large majority,” said Tony Perkins, president of the Family Research Council. “The ‘left’ is becoming a law unto itself.”

Schwarzenegger and his state AG at the time, Jerry Brown, refused to defend Prop 8 even though it had been passed by popular referendum because they too thought the statute was unconstitutional. Lefty law prof Erwin Chemerinsky, while opposed to Prop 8, wrote at the time that he found it “disturbing” that a majority of California voters could be deprived of a state attorney to defend a law they enacted simply because of a difference of opinion with their leaders over the law’s constitutionality. He proposed having states pass laws to enable the governor to appoint a special attorney to defend a statute in cases where the AG feels, in good faith, that he can’t. A solution for Virginia?

One other note here: The case in which the Supreme Court struck down laws against interracial marriage, which has been cited in many a brief ever since as a reason to strike down gay-marriage bans as well, originated in Virginia. Herring is, of course, aware of that. Maybe that’s why he moved so quickly on this — if Virginia’s law ends up being the one the Supremes use for the landmark “gay marriage is now legal” decision that everyone knows is coming, the political symbolism would make Herring a star and set him up to succeed McAuliffe as governor.

Latina Actress Maria Conchita Alonso Bullied Off San Francisco Stage Production Over Her Support for Conservative Candidate for Calif. Governor

Maria Conchita Alonso, who starred in movies such as “The Running Man” and “Moscow on the Hudson,” said Sunday that she had resigned from a play because of threats of boycotts and protests over her support for Assemblyman Tim Donnelly, a Republican gubernatorial candidate and a founder of a Minuteman border-patrol chapter.

“I said, ‘Well, you know the ... production doesn’t need to be hurt by me,” she said in an interview. “I told them, ‘Listen, it’s the best for everybody.’ ”

Alonso had been set to appear in a Spanish-language production of the Vagina Monologues in San Francisco in February. Last week, she appeared in an online campaign video for Donnelly, a tea party favorite, saying she supported his calls to return film production to Hollywood, increase domestic energy production and reduce government interference in citizens’ lives.

Alonso, 56, was born in Cuba and raised in Venezuela and has a history of political activism, notably opposition to the late Venezuelan leader Hugo Chavez. In 2011, she got into a heated exchange with Sean Penn at the baggage claim at Los Angeles International Airport over his support of the Socialist leader. Penn called her a pig; she called him a communist.

“I don’t want the government to be involved in my life, I don’t want government to control my life,” she said. “… I’ve known what communism is and when the people depend on government, that’s wrong; then the government has control over you.”

Last week, Alonso appeared in a bilingual online campaign video for Donnelly. In the video, she held her Chihuahua, Tequila, as she translated some of Donnelly’s remarks into Spanish, and paraphrased others for laughs.

“Politicians and big government are killing our prosperity,” Donnelly says in the video. “They’re driving business out of our state, pushing welfare costs through the roof and driving our schools into the ground.”

Alonso, looking alarmed, translates these remarks as: “We’re screwed.”

Alonso has been criticized over the video from not only the left, but also on the right. She said that while she doesn’t agree with all of Donnelly’s positions, such as his views on hunting, she believes he is a good man with an open mind.

Andrew Cuomo: Pro-life People Have “No Place in the State of New York”

Hopefully, this smug speech comes back to bite him if he ever decides to run for POTUS, much less re-election as governor of New York:

Forty-eight percent of Americans and all priests and nuns are no longer welcome in the Empire State, according to its governor. Delivering a monologue on Republicans with all the hyperbole of an MSNBC anchor and none of the charm, Cuomo offered this:

You have a schism within the Republican Party. … They’re searching to define their soul, that’s what’s going on. Is the Republican party in this state a moderate party or is it an extreme conservative party? That’s what they’re trying to figure out. It’s a mirror of what’s going on in Washington. The gridlock in Washington is less about Democrats and Republicans. It’s more about extreme Republicans versus moderate Republicans.

… You’re seeing that play out in New York. … The Republican Party candidates are running against the SAFE Act — it was voted for by moderate Republicans who run the Senate! Their problem is not me and the Democrats; their problem is themselves. Who are they? Are they these extreme conservatives who are right-to-life, pro-assault-weapon, anti-gay? Is that who they are? Because if that’s who they are and they’re the extreme conservatives, they have no place in the state of New York, because that’s not who New Yorkers are.

If they’re moderate Republicans like in the Senate right now, who control the Senate — moderate Republicans have a place in their state. George Pataki was governor of this state as a moderate Republican; but not what you’re hearing from them on the far right.”

He at least uses the liberal pejoratives for those who are pro-2nd Amendment and oppose gay marriage. “Right to life” he uses as if it’s offensive on its face. As Life News notes, he leans heavily on the President Barack tactic to simply declare everyone who disagrees with your positions in the slightest “extreme,” even if many of those people are your constituents. But how extreme is the pro-life position, even in a blue state like New York? Unlike, say, gay marriage, the polling on abortion restrictions, particularly second and third trimesters, regularly and overwhelmingly favors the more conservative position.

Cuomo spent much of 2013 trying to pass a Reproductive Health Act that moved the opposite direction of abortion legislation in states like Texas and North Carolina. He took from the Dr. Gosnell’s House of Horrors story that, hey, who shouldn’t be able to perform abortions, huh? The legislation, which was stuck into a broader Women’s Equality Act, stalled in the Senate because of its abortion provisions and under strong fire from the state’s bishops, who apparently are also no longer welcome in New York.

One 2013 poll, commissioned by the Chiaroscuro Foundation found, just as in the rest of the country, though many consider themselves pro-choice, they are very open to restrictions to abortion in the second and third trimesters and think abortions are already accessible enough in their state. A few of the questions lean on the prejudicial, but the bent of the electorate is clear:

The findings conclude that an overwhelming majority of New Yorkers support sensible restrictions on abortions, with eighty percent (80%) opposing unlimited abortion through the ninth month of pregnancy and seventy-five percent (75%) opposing changes in current law so that someone other than a doctor can perform an abortion.”

Gay Mafia Going After Former Boxing Champion Evander Holyfield For Making Christian Comments On Homosexuality

Former world heavyweight boxing champion Evander Holyfield has been reprimanded by the bosses of a British reality TV show for saying being gay "ain't normal."

Holyfield compared being homosexual to being born with a deformed leg, saying "you go to a doctor and get it fixed back right." He also said it was "a choice" to be gay.

The 50-year-old American made the comments during a conversation with a fellow contestant on Celebrity Big Brother in an episode that was aired Sunday in Britain.

Program officials told Holyfield these "aren't the views that are held by a large section of society, and expressing these views will be extremely offensive to many people."

Holyfield was warned to "consider very carefully the effects expressing such views may have."

Obama Pollster: Reporters Should Stop Covering Polls in 2014

After a year of seeing President Obama’s approval ratings plummet, the president’s pollster is offering a strikingly candid and pessimistic New Year’s resolution.

Reporters should go the next “year without reporting any public polling data,” Joel Benenson, president and CEO of Benenson Strategy Group, said.

His comments were made to reporter Mike Allen, who published them in his daily “Politico Playbook” morning newsletter on Tuesday.

Benenson explained that he thinks the polling often reported by news organizations lacks the proper context.

Asked his New Year’s resolution: “Here’s one — with a variation, if mine is too extreme: Go one year without reporting any public polling data.”

“Rationale: Most public polling continues to be reported on strictly from a topline, horserace-type perspective that does nothing, or at best very little, to illuminate the news of the day.”

Benenson offered an alternative if “this is too strict.”

“Go one year without reporting any public polling data that doesn’t provide in an in-depth analysis of the underlying dynamics that are truly shaping the data,” he said.

White, Liberal Writer Tommy Christopher Defends Racist ‘Knockout Game’

With no reports on gangs of white kids attacking innocent minorities as well as the mainstream media playing down reports of deaths occurring around the country due to the racist "Knockout Game", it's left up to white, liberal journalists (and resident Obamabot) like "Tommy Christopher" to whip out the race card and defend bad behavior by blacks at any cost. It's what they do to keep blacks poor and dependent as well as to keep the black vote in their pockets:

The so-called ‘Knockout Game’ has been gathering steam as a news narrative, with conservatives demanding that the media finally focus on crimes committed by black people. On Monday morning’s edition of CNN’s New Day, expert guest Harry Houck, a former NYPD detective, went there, explaining to the New Day anchor team that while “not every black kid is doing this,” the only suggestion he could offer to avoid such attacks was “crossing the street, getting away from them” if you see “a group of black youths.”

Reporting around the “Knockout Game” has been of the sketchy Shark Week variety, with a handful of cases being amplified by media attention, even when some of those cases might not even be related to the trend. For example, as The New York Times pointed out this weekend, one of the attacks that’s most played by national news outlets doesn’t appear to fit the narrative:

Much news coverage of reported knockout attacks includes 2012 footage from a surveillance camera in Pittsburgh of James Addlespurger, a high school teacher who was 50, being swiftly struck to the ground by a young man walking down an alleyway with some friends. Yet the Pittsburgh police said the attacker insisted the assault was not part of any organized “game.”
“This was just a random act of violence,” Police Commander Eric Holmes said in a televised interview last year. “He stated that he was just having a bad day that day.” The assailant saw Mr. Addlespurger, the commander said, “and decided this was a course of action he was going to take.”

That clip was part of New Day‘s package, as was CNN correspondent Pamela Brown‘s framing that incidents of the  Knockout Game “have been reported in six states and Washington, DC.”
In her report, Brown conducted man-on-the-street interviews in which she showed videos of attacks to stunned subjects.
Anchor Kate Bolduan asked former NYPD detective Harry Houck  for his take on the phenomenon. “Is this a growing trend?” she asked. “Is this an urban myth, or maybe better stated as growing trend or group of isolated incidents?”
Houck replied that the trend is real, adding that “Urban myths don’t exist. These attacks exist in everyone’s minds, especially in those victims.”
That’s when the familiar language of race-baiting began. Asked if the media was contributing to the problem by hyping the attacks, Houck replied that “I think we have to let the public know what’s going on to protect ourselves. That’s our job. That’s the police department’s job to protect the public. No matter how politically incorrect it might be. It’s to know what is going on and how to protect themselves.”
This is where the hustler hides the red card, because when co-host Chris Cuomo asks Houck to explain his remark about “political correctness” (insulating himself and his show from criticism), Houck lays his suggestion off on other people. “I ask people who I run into every day, ‘What are you doing?’ They say if they see a group of black youths, they cross the street.”

Co-host Michaela Pereira pushed back, telling Houck that “black kids don’t need to be feel, made to feel they’re a threat simply because they are hanging out with friends.”

Houck generously allowed that “Not every black kid is doing this. it’s very few, but if you are the victim, if you are a potential victim and you are afraid walking down the street, you see a group of black youths, everybody I am talking to says they are crossing the street, getting away from them,” and added that “the good black kids will be saying ‘Why are you crossing the street when I walk by?’”

While Pereira pointed out that the “majority” of black kids aren’t doing this, and Cuomo added that “Black kids are getting clocked, too,” their guest expert never gets around to offering any alternative to crossing the street to protect yourselves. He even reiterated it later in the segment, in what could double as a spot-on media criticism. “This is creating terror on the streets, I know,” Houck said. “People are, as soon as they see black youths, like I say, everybody I have talked to, I know you don’t like that, Michaela, but you can understand why they think that way.”

Houck also referenced the classic “the good blacks” frame, which reinforced his earlier suggestion that black teenagers who don’t viciously knock people out are someho the exception.

As far as anyone can tell, of course, these crimes are exceedingly rare, and you are orders of magnitude more likely to be killed or injured crossing the street than walking past a group of black youths. This sort of fear-mongering is nothing, new, though; it’s not as if white people really needed another excuse to be scared of black kids. What is somewhat new is the attempt to normalize it. Pereira’s objections notwithstanding, little is done to challenge the logic of Houck’s commentary.

CNN, and the rest of the media, would do well to resist focusing on the racial aspect of these crimes, and instead serve the public with information they can use, such as the serious medical consequences that loss of consciousness can entail.

DC Insurance Commissioner Fired After Being Critical of Obamacare “Fix”

When it comes to Godless liberals tolerance is not a two-way street:

A top deputy in the DC mayor’s office reportedly told the city’s insurance commissioner he wants to “go in a different direction” -- i.e., fire him -- one day after the latter released a statement raising concerns about President Obama’s decision to amend his signature health care law. This is another way of saying, “if you disagree with the president publicly, there will be consequences.” Or so it seems:

A day after he questioned President Obama’s decision to unwind a major tenet of the health-care law and said the nation’s capital might not go along, D.C. insurance commissioner William P. White was fired. 

White was called into a meeting Friday afternoon with one of Mayor Vincent C. Gray’s (D) top deputies and told that the mayor “wants to go in a different direction,” White told The Washington Post on Saturday.

White said the mayoral deputy never said that he was being asked to leave because of his Thursday statement on health care. But he said the timing was hard to ignore. Roughly 24 hours later, White said, he was “basically being told, ‘Thanks, but no thanks.’”

White was one of the first insurance commissioners in the nation last week to push back against Obama’s attempt to smooth over part of the botched rollout of the Affordable Care Act: millions of unexpected cancellations of insurance plans.

White evidently raised the warning bells because the president’s unilateral delay will discourage young people from enrolling in the exchanges, thus hastening the law’s death spiral. Curiously, the commissioner’s public statement was removed from his department’s website almost immediately:

White’s statement was removed from the department’s Web site sometime before Friday morning. Asked about the removal Friday, spokesman Michael Flagg said the department’s statement had changed. 

“Our statement now is that we’re taking a close look at the implications of the president’s announcement on the District’s exchange and we will soon recommend a course of action after taking into consideration the positions of all the stakeholders,” Flagg wrote in an e-mail.

An anonymous city official suggests White was fired not because of the content of his statement, but because he violated protocol:

A senior city official said White’s initial statement was sent to the mayoral communications director, Pedro Ribeiro, only minutes before it was issued publicly. It was not sent to Deputy Mayor Victor Hoskins, White’s immediate supervisor, said the official, who spoke on the condition of anonymity because he is not authorized to speak about a personnel matter. 

A formal statement critical of the president should have been closely vetted and approved by the mayor’s office, and White refused to acknowledge the misstep, the official said. White said Hoskins fired him Friday.

White disagrees:

White said he thought he would have been derelict in his duties to not quickly make a statement on the president’s announcement. 

“Everyone was looking for responses from the regulators. One of my chief concerns is always consistency and clarity in the marketplace — you can’t have something that big sitting out there without responding to it,” he said.

Either way, White no longer has a job. And politics seems to be the reason why.

Sean Hannity Reveals That Obamacare Hotline Operator, Earline Davis, Who Took His Call Got Fired

When a woman named Earline Davis answered the phone on Monday afternoon, she had no idea she’d become a player in Sean Hannity‘s attempt to call the Obamcare hotline and grill an employee with questions about the website’s rollout. She also had no idea that phone call would lead to her firing.  

As a result, the conservative radio host has gifted the mother of two a year’s tax-free salary of $26,000 and has promised to help her find a new job. Hannity brought Davis on his show this afternoon to detail her firing and make the generous offer. 

Davis explained that the morning after the fateful phone call, she was escorted to an HR meeting and told she would be released. The reason? “Contact with the media is not allowed,” Davis said. 

According to the former operator, she was never told during her initial training that she is forbidden from taking calls from the media. “I was just out here trying to help everybody,” she told Hannity. 

“I’m very sorry that you had to go through that,” the radio host told her. “I don’t want you to have to pay a price just for taking our call. So I want to help you out here.”

CNN’s Carol Costello: Obama’s People Can Be ‘Nasty,’ Willing to ‘Threaten Your Job’

On Wednesday morning, CNN Newsroom anchor Carol Costello made a rather stunning, if cryptic, revelation. In discussing the firing of national security official Jofi Joseph, Costello agreed with panelist Jason Johnson that the Obama administration can be thin-skinned, and said that “President Obama’s people can be quite nasty. They don’t like you to say anything bad about their boss, and they’re not afraid to use whatever means they have at hand to stop you from doing that, including threatening your job.”

Johnson’s reaction to the firing was that “we had to see more of the tweets. It’s kind of inappropriate, so I can understand him being fired. But the Obama administration is very thin-skinned.”

Costello read some more of the tweets, then said to Johnson “(Y) ou really do have a point. I felt it first hand when I was reporting on the presidential race. I mean, President Obama’s people can be quite nasty. They don’t like you to say anything bad about their boss, and they’re not afraid to use whatever means they have at hand to stop you from doing that, including threatening your job.”

Liberals Outraged At NY Post Reporter Whose Boyfriend Enjoys Her Sandwiches

“[A] young woman has attracted attention from culinary world icons such as Emeril Lagasse, Michael White and Ken Friedman with 300sandwiches.com,” a New York Post story published on Tuesday began. The Post revealed that this mystery woman was, in fact, New York Post Page Six reporter Stephanie Smith. The Post story revealed that she not only enjoys making sandwiches for her boyfriend, he requests them frequently. Now, outrage is swelling over Smith’s boyfriend’s sandwich requests.


“My boyfriend, Eric, is the gourmet cook in our relationship, but he’d always want me to make him a sandwich,” Smith begins.

Each morning, he would ask, “Honey, how long you have been awake?”

“About 15 minutes,” I’d reply.

“You’ve been up for 15 minutes and you haven’t made me a sandwich?”

“To him, sandwiches are like kisses or hugs,” she continues. “Or sex.”

“Sandwiches are love,’ he says. “Especially when you make them. You can’t get a sandwich with love from the deli.”

“Wait a second,” MSNBC host Chris Hayes reacted. “This asshole was literally waking up every morning and saying “Why haven’t you made me a sandwich yet?’”

“No matter what’s on the menu, Eric smiles and says thank you,” Smith concluded in her revealing article.

“He’s just happy I cook for him at all.”

She seems happy too.

Do liberals have any arguments for their idiotic ideas besides calling their opponents "racist"?

The two big public policies under attack by the left this week are "stop-and-frisk" policing and voter ID laws. Democrats denounce both policies as racist. I'm beginning to suspect they're getting lazy in their arguments.

Stop-and-frisk was a crucial part of the package of law enforcement measures implemented by New York Mayor Rudy Giuliani that saved the city. Under David Dinkins, who preceded Giuliani, murders averaged about 2,000 a year. There were 714 murders in New York the year Giuliani left office. Continuing Giuliani's policing techniques, Mayor Michael Bloomberg's New York had only 419 murders last year.

Just during his first year in office, Giuliani's policies cut the murder rate an astonishing 20 percent. That first year of his administration was responsible for 35 percent of the crime drop nationwide from 1993 to 1995. The New York Times hailed this remarkable achievement with an article headlined, "New York City Crime Falls but Just Why Is a Mystery."

It was mostly black lives that were saved by Giuliani's crime policies. By the end of his administration, the Rev. Calvin Butts, liberal pastor of Harlem's Abyssinian Baptist Church, was comparing Giuliani to King Josiah of the Bible, who "brought order, peace, the law back to the land." The black minister told The New York Times, "I really think that without Giuliani, we would have been overrun."

About the same time as the Rev. Butts was comparing Giuliani to King Josiah, Richard Goldstein of The Village Voice claimed he felt less safe in New York under Giuliani. It was the ravings of a madman, like saying winter is warmer than summer. But now, Goldstein's ideas are being delivered from the federal bench by Judge Shira Scheindlin, who recently held New York City's stop-and-frisk policies unconstitutional.
Yes, Democrat Bob Filner can pat down his female employees, but cops can't pat down suspected criminals. 

Liberals wail about guns, but how do they imagine police get guns off the street without going to high-crime neighborhoods and stopping young men acting suspiciously?

Giuliani's policing policies, including stop-and-frisk, reduced gun homicides in New York by 75 percent within five years. 

It is precisely the fear of being caught with a gun that induces young hoodlums not to carry them. The word gets out: Don't carry a gun! It's not worth the risk. 

Of course cops don't find many guns anymore! That's because they're doing stop-and-frisk. 

By liberals' logic, the government should stop doing meat inspections because it turns up so few cases of contamination these days, anyway. We can also drop the metal detectors at airports. How many people does the TSA actually catch trying to sneak guns onto airplanes? 

Have liberals polled the elderly black residents of high-crime neighborhoods on stop-and-frisk? As soon as the word gets out that it's now safe to carry weapons, spray paint, drugs and stolen goods again, criminals will rule the streets and the elderly will, once more, be confined to their homes. As Martin Luther King said, crime is "the nightmare of the slum family." 

But liberals don't care about the innocent black victims of crime. They don't care about citizens being prisoners in their own homes -- as long as it's not in their neighborhoods. The important thing is to self-righteously preen about racism. 

When a policy that has saved thousands of black lives is attacked as "racist," the word has no meaning. At this rate, liberals will be claiming that peanut butter sandwiches are racist -- except that wouldn't be as crazy. 

Voter ID laws don't actually save black lives the way stop-and-frisk policies do, but it's not clear how such laws hurt them. I suppose the argument is that by allowing Democrats to steal elections, they can pass all those laws that improve black lives immeasurably, like promoting trial lawyers, gay marriage, abortion and amnesty for illegals. You know, the Democratic policies that really enhance black lives.

The Far-Left Destroys A Rodeo Clown: Mockery Of King Barack Obama Not Allowed In America

Much of the liberal mainstream media is now in a complete meltdown because a rodeo clown wore a mask of President Obama and “disrespected” him during a show at the Missouri State Fair. Try as I might, there is no way to exaggerate how unhinged much of the media – and all the Democrat politicians in the area – have become over this one incident. 

Was it childish and in bad taste? Sure. Are there one million things much more pressing and threatening for the media and the Democrats to be concerned about? Commonsense and the American people would say “yes.” Craven partisan politics says “let’s pile on to accumulate brownie-points with the far-left Intelligentsia.” 

Hence, the calculated but selective meltdowns.

For instance, in the movie “Colombiana,” we are treated to a scene which takes place in the office of a weasel-like official from the U.S Government. Behind him is a large and glowing picture of President Obama. Suddenly, a would-be assassin’s bullet screams into the office, misses the weasel, and slams into a photo.

Not the glowing and commanding photo of President Obama of course, but rather a photo of George W. Bush with the weasel.

Transparent, sophomoric, and a unnecessary distraction from the plot, but oh, how the makers of this failed movie must have slapped themselves on the back with that deliberate insult to Bush while awaiting the accolades from the liberal-elites on the coasts.

After the movie came out, I don’t remember anyone from the mainstream media rushing to the defense of George W. Bush and demanding an apology from or a boycott of, Sony Pictures.

Maybe I don’t have a firm grasp of infantile insults, but surely an assassin’s bullet shattering a photo of George W. Bush (hint, hint) is worse than a rodeo clown wearing a mask of Barack Obama running from a bull while someone shouts “This bull’s gonna get ya, Obama. He’s gonna get ya.”

Apparently not. While all those responsible for “Colombiana” paid no price for their insult of Bush, the poor – in every sense of the word – rodeo clown has been banned for life by the Missouri State Fair. Banned for life with the real possibility of having his only livihood taken from him forever.

Beyond that, the president of the Missouri Rodeo Cowboy Association resigned under massive pressure because he served as the announcer during the rodeo clown’s “inappropriate, disrespectful, and embarrassing” performance.

You would think the rodeo clown potentially losing his career and the president of the association resigning would satisfy the bloodlust of the far-left. Not even close. Many also want to strip the State Fair of its tax money, while demanding full-scale investigations.
