Is Elizabeth Warren Tanking?

The architect of "You didn't build that" could be in for a major loss...to a Republican in a liberal state:

I joked the other day about Elizabeth Warren’s Mike Dukakis Tank moment.

Maybe tanking was the right word, because a PPP poll just released shows Warren 5 points behind and Warren’s negatives rising dramatically (emphasis mine):

PPP’s newest poll on the Massachusetts Senate race finds Scott Brown opening up a 5 point lead, 49-44. This is the first time Brown has led in one of our polls since June of 2011. Our last poll, in June of this year, found a tie and the two before that had modest leads for Elizabeth Warren.

Brown continues to do well because of his personal popularity and because voters see him as different from the Republican Party as a whole. 53% of voters approve of the job he’s doing to 36% who disapprove. Incumbents with those kinds of approval numbers generally don’t lose. Brown’s approval has improved a net 14 points from March when he was at +3 (45/42).

Warren’s numbers are headed in the other direction. On that poll her favorability was 46/33 and now it’s 46/43- her negatives have risen 10 points over the last five months while her positives have remained unchanged.

Got that?  Warren’s negatives have risen 10%.  I’m not about to take any credit for that.

Oh, hell, on an akin, breakin day like this, I need to cheer myself us, so I’ll take a small bit of the credit for helping to expose the truth, which necessarily would cause Warren’s negatives to rise.

I’ll leave it to others to see if there are any sampling differences which might explain the change from the prior poll by PPP.  I’m just going to take whatever good news I can get today without question.

And I’ll add this, from Cole DeLaune writing at Indian Country Today, accusing Warren of “spiritual genocide” and calling her a “pathological revisionist”:

In Warren’s model of ethnic distinction, neither practical experience nor community affiliation applies; one can simply appropriate the mantle of Cherokee lineage at personal discretion. Per this formulation, the disparities between discrete cultures are meaningless, and Professor Warren is effectively championing a subtle variety of spiritual genocide.

A November victory for this pathological revisionist will legitimize abjectly appalling notions about indigenous identity….

Elizabeth Warren is a liar and a scam artist who used minorities to get her way to the top:

Facing a flap over her past claims of Native American ancestry, Elizabeth Warren was identified as a minority faculty member at the University of Pennsylvania, where the Massachusetts Senate candidate worked from 1987 to 1995, according to the Associated Press.

A committee established to review the status of minorities on the faculty of the university produced a report which noted that only eight of the 112 awards given out during a 13-year span were given to minority teachers. Warren was listed among the eight minority teachers who had won a teacher award. The report was written in 2005, a decade after Warren had left the faculty at the University of Pennsylvania.

The new information gives more context to the claims of Warren’s opponent, Sen. Scott Brown (R-Mass.), who slammed her earlier this week for “serious questions [that] have been raised about the legitimacy of Elizabeth Warren’s claims to Native American ancestry and whether it was appropriate for her to assume minority status as a college professor.”

Harvard Law School had previously touted Warren as a minority hire, and she had been listed as a minority in a law school directory between 1986 and 1995, according to the Boston Herald.

Other documents were also obtained by the Associated Press showing that she identified as “white” on an employment record at the University of Texas and, while applying for admission to Rutgers Law School, she declined to do so under a program for minority students.

Warren’s campaign insisted that the candidate had never leaned on her Native American roots.

“At every law school where Elizabeth was recruited to teach, it has been made absolutely clear she was hired based on merit; on her accomplishments and ability,” Warren spokeswoman Alethea Harney told the AP Thursday. “Documents from the college and law school from which she graduated show that Elizabeth did not seek special treatment by acknowledging her Native American heritage.”

Elisabeth Hasselbeck Unloads on Kathy Griffin, But Joy Behar Waters Down Smear of Scott Brown's Daughters; 'It Was Just a Joke'

On her Bravo show last Tuesday night, Kathy Griffin trashed Sen. Scott Brown's two daughters as "prostitutes." CNN reporter Dana Bash, who was present with her husband John King, erupted into laughter.

Yesterday on ABC's "The View," co-host Joy Behar tried to throw a wet blanket on the ensuing outrage over the "joke," which included condemnations of Griffin's comments by Scott Brown himself and by Rep. Barney Frank (D-Mass.).

"It's just a joke," Behar repeatedly affirmed during a heated exchange with co-host Elisabeth Hasselbeck, who vehemently disagreed.

"No, no, no, no, no!" Hasselbeck exclaimed. "We've always said politicians' kids are off limits! If someone went around calling Barack Obama's two girls prostitutes, people would be up in arms. Laybacks! Kathy Griffin's got to back up on that one right now!"

Hasselbeck ripped Griffin as "scum" for her remarks. "You defend your daughters against scum who comes after them and calls them someone like a prostitute," Hasselbeck asserted about Scott Brown's condemnation of Griffin's "joke."

Joy Behar is such a bitch.
