Hillary Attacks Bush's "Spy" Program

Feeling pressure from the Left for her support of the war in Iraq, Hillary Clinton does what any idiot would do when confronted by angry, desperate liberals whose votes they may need in the future: attack George W. Bush.

2008 presidential hopeful Hillary Clinton has finally broken her silence on the Bush administration National Security Agency program that conducts surveillance on suspected terrorists based in the U.S. - saying that she opposes spying on "Americans."

The top Democrat chose an unusual forum to announce her opposition - a fundraising letter emailed Friday in which she detailed her resolutions for the New Year.

"I am resolved to keep speaking out about my disagreements with this administration and their congressional allies," Clinton told her supporters, listing among her complaints: "A secret program that spies on Americans!"

After noting the NSA program, Mrs. Clinton vowed to fight for "national security policies that tell the truth and level with the American people."

She also observed that "the values that made America in the 20th century not just the economic leader of the world, but the moral leader of the world are under attack today."

First of all, no one with the last name 'Clinton' should be allowed to have any say on "values" or "morals".

Ever.

Secondly, this is another example of Hillary at her best--keeping an eye out on the polls and playing the Leftist card to cater to her liberal fanbase when needed, while not venturing too far left to rankle her more centrist ideologies.

Of course, leave it up to Clinton and the rest of the liberal zealots to leave out the fact that the only Americans being "spied" on are people engaging in calls with people say in Afghanistan, a perfectly legal effort that worked to disrupt a plot to blow up a landmark right in Hillary's backyard, the Brooklyn Bridge. Then too, Mrs. Clinton forgot to mention that 64% of Americans believe the National Security Agency (NSA) should be allowed to intercept telephone conversations between terrorism suspects in other countries and people living in the United States. And it's also funny how Clinton makes no mention of the fact that when he was president, her husband usurped the NSA way more than George W. Bush has.

That Hillary. What a mercenary.

Clinton's Impeachment Now In Textbooks

WASHINGTON, D.C. (AP) -- The impeachment of former President Clinton is in a gray area of history, too long ago to be a current event, too recent to be judged in perspective. Yet history is already judging Clinton in the place where millions of students get their information about him -- textbooks.

Seven years after he was impeached in a scandal of sex, perjury and bitter politics, Clinton has become a fixture in major high school texts.

The impeachment is portrayed in the context of his two-term tenure, a milestone event, but not one that overshadows how Clinton handled the economy, crime and health care.

The most commonly used texts give straightforward recaps of Clinton's toughest days, with some flavor of how it affected the nation. Absent are any of the lurid details of his relationship with Monica Lewinsky that spiced up daily news reports and late-night talk shows as the scandal and impeachment played out in 1998 and early 1999.

"It should not be in the book for titillating purposes or settling scores," said Alan Brinkley, the Columbia University provost who has written or contributed to several history text books. "It should be in the book because of its significance to our recent history."

My first question is what took our public school system so long to include in their textbooks one of the most sordid events in our nation's history? Secondly, since when is it "judging" someone to make notice of an event that defined their character and proved vital in changing the course of a nation? Ever since elementary school I was taught that Andrew Johnson was the only President to be impeached and that Richard Nixon was the only President to resign. Regardless of how you feel about either one of those men their legacies are, in part, shaped by their downfalls.

So why shouldn't our kids be reminded about Slick Willie and his personal indiscretions while commander-in-chief? It was an embarassment to this country, it was an embarassment to everyone who voted for him and Slick Willie had no one to blame for everything that led to his impeachment but himself (that is, of course, unless you're a liberal who has no problem with adultery, much less the crime of lying under oath). Granted, I've never liked Bill Clinton, but the annals of our history isn't to judge, it's to present facts without bias. If our future leaders are to assess Bill Clinton in the proper context than they must be provided with ALL the information: good, bad and Monica Lewinsky.

Bill Maher To Marry "Superhead"?

Is Bill Maher ready to give up his bachelor status? Several friends of HBO's resident political pundit say that Maher could be on the verge of proposing to his girlfriend Karrine Steffans.

Steffans, the (shall we say) sexually generous dancer who penned the best-selling memoir "Confessions of a Video Vixen," met Maher in April, and the two have been dating ever since.

Maher has been adamant that he'd never get married and vowed never to date seriously again after being sued last year for $9 million in palimony by an ex-girlfriend, flight attendant Coco Johnson. But he and his new girlfriend were recently spotted shopping for rings at Tiffany's in Beverly Hills, and there has even been talk of the couple writing a sex-and-relationship book together.

Although he's a libertarian, Bill Maher gets a lot of brownie points from the Left for his incendiary humor along with ridiculing (in-between constantly interrupting) conservative guests on his "Real Time With Bill Maher" show and constant bashing of President Bush. Of course, nevermind that he's a short man with serious Napoleon complex, who has one failed talk show to his credit as well as being a lifelong bachelor with a fixation for only dating Black women, Maher is still noted as one of the top political humorists in the business.

Yet, now Maher is poised to marry Karrine "Superhead" Steffans, a woman who gained "stardom" by writing a best-selling book about her over-the-top promiscuity within the Hip-Hop industry.

Do you need any more reasons as to why liberals love Maher so much?

Arlen Specter Should Just Quit The GOP

When Arlen Specter needed help in his last bid for 6 more years as a Pennsylvania senator, who helped him win a Republican primary last year? The President of the United States. So how does Specter pay him back? By moving back Supreme Court nominee hearings, supporting liberals and their Roe vs. Wade escapades and going so far as to climb on board the Howard Dean/MoveOn/John Kerry movement to impeach George W. Bush.

WASHINGTON -- Senate Judiciary Chairman Arlen Specter said Wednesday he remains skeptical about a government surveillance program despite an explanation from Attorney General Alberto Gonzales.

The two met for an hour Sunday to discuss the rationale for the warrantless eavesdropping by the National Security Agency that President Bush approved without obtaining any court orders. "I would summarize it by saying I have grave doubts about his legal conclusion," Specter, R-Pa., said of a meeting with Gonzales, who was confirmed before Specter's committee early this year.

"I'm skeptical, but I'm prepared to listen." Specter said he expects Gonzales to be the leadoff witness at a hearing on the surveillance, which he said he would like to start next month after confirmation hearings for Supreme Court nominee Samuel Alito. There likely will be a national debate about whether the president really has the kind of power he's been using, said Specter, a five-term senator and former prosecutor. "There may be legislation which will come out of it to restrict the president's power," Specter said.

Specter said he would seek a copy of the resignation letter of U.S. District Judge James Robertson, who stepped down from a special court set up to oversee government surveillance. The Washington Post reported that the resignation stemmed from Robertson's concerns over whether the surveillance was legal.

Specter said he wants to meet with Robertson, and may ask him to appear before the committee.

So a liberal judge appointed by Bill Clinton makes a little noise by leaving FISA and suddenly his word is more important than both the President and the Attorney General? After their "Downing Street Memo" trick didn't work, liberals are clearly trying to turn "Snoopgate" into a latter-day Watergate and Arlen Specter is right there to cheer them on. When will the GOP step up and get rid of this man, a clear obstructionist to conservative views. Instead of telling the press off for trying to make something out of nothing, instead of helping out a man who helped him keep a job he cherishes, Specter spits in the President's face and gives us another example of what a traitor he is.

It's kind of ironic that Woody Allen, a renowned adulterer and pedophile who's still considered to be an "acclaimed" director despite the fact that he hasn't made a decent film in more then two decades, would be out there criticizing anybody.

When asked about George W. Bush, Allen responded:

He certainly got off to a good start and showed sympathy and enthusiasm and said all the right things. But he didn'’t. He let the country down brutally.

Clinton Made Eavesdropping An Artform

In their endless mission to pay back the Republican party for impeaching Bill Clinton by finding anything to impeach George W. Bush, liberal Democrats are once again using lies and distortion. Months after the overrated "Downing Street Memo" failed to bring down Bush, now there's a new smear tactic: the President supposedly broke the law by issuing an executive order to listen in on potential terrorists.

But the President didn't break the law, Congress knew what he was doing and since when are Democrats so concerned about Americans having their phone calls listened to by the gov't when Slick Willie made "spying" so convenient in the first place?

Clinton Used NSA for Economic Espionage

During the 1990s, President Bill Clinton ordered the National Security Agency to use its super-secret Echelon surveillance program to monitor the personal telephone calls and private email of employees who worked for foreign companies in a bid to boost U.S. trade, NewsMax.com has learned.

In 2000, former Clinton CIA director James Woolsey set off a firestorm of protest in Europe when he told the French newspaper Le Figaro that he was ordered by Clinton in 1993 to transform Echelon into a tool for gathering economic intelligence.

"We have a triple and limited objective," the former intelligence chief told the French paper. "To look out for companies which are breaking US or UN sanctions; to trace 'dual' technologies, i.e., for civil and military use, and to track corruption in international business."

As NewsMax reported exclusively on Sunday, Echelon had been used by the Clinton administration to monitor millions of personal phone calls, private emails and even ATM transactions inside the U.S. - all without a court order.

The massive invasion of privacy was justified by Echelon's defenders as an indispensable national security tool in the war on terror.

But Clinton officials also utilized the program in ways that had nothing to do with national security - such as conducting economic espionage against foreign businesses.

I'm sure the Democrats will want to investigate this matter after they're done looking like fools and coming up with nothing on Bush.

Russ Feingold: Another Liberal Idiot

Some brainless senator from Wisconsin is already calling for Bush's head. Why? Because the President, in the interests of our nation's safety, had the gall to use a totally legal executive order to spy on some possible terrorists.

Senate Judiciary Committee Chairman Arlen Specter, a Pennsylvania Republican, told "CNN's Late Edition with Wolf Blitzer" there were many questions but cautioned against politicizing the matter.

"I'd like to inquire why they didn't go to the Federal Intelligence Security Act," [FISA] which sets up a special court to authorize national security wiretaps," the senator said. "That's a real question they have to answer."

Sen. Russ Feingold, D-Wisconsin, said he believes Bush's action violated the law.

"FISA law says it's the exclusive law to authorize wiretaps," he said. "This administration is playing fast and loose with the law in national security. The issue here is whether the president of the United States is putting himself above the law, and I believe he has done so."

Specter, however, said Feingold "is rushing to judgment."

OK, now you know when Arlen Specter, a fellow liberal, doesn't have your back you're pretty much a lost cause.

Then again the fact that Democrats are pushing this "spying" issue is beyond ridiculous. Because not will it be found that George W, Bush did nothing wrong here, but it only enhances the fact that this party is weak on terrorism. Instead of confronting terrorists head-on like Republicans do, Democrats ignorant of the happenings surroundings the first World Trade center bombing under Bill Clinton, continue to take the "wait-and-see approach", an odious move that helped cost the lives of over 3,000 people on 9/11.

By rushing to judgment without getting his facts straight Feingold makes it clear that he's nothing but a "liberals liberal" who should have no say on protecting our country. And hopefully this latest episode of liberal hatred for Bush will ruin any chance of Feingold's rumored running for President in 2008. Then too, Feingold, a man who said "no" to going into Iraq and recently had the audacity to also call for a timetable for our troops to leave, has become such a friend to the terrorists that maybe it's about time the White House investigate bringing charges of treason up against him.

First Civil Union Couple Splitts Up

BRATTLEBORO, Vt. — A couple who entered into the nation's first same-sex civil union are splitting up amid accusations of violent behavior.

Carolyn Conrad, 35, asked a court in October to end her relationship with Kathleen Peterson, 46.

Conrad also obtained a restraining order Wednesday against her partner, saying Peterson punched a hole in the wall during an argument and threatened to harm a friend.

"All I want to say is that the civil union was a big source of pride for me, and now it's not," Peterson said.

The two had been together for five years when they were legally joined in Brattleboro minutes after Vermont's civil-union law took effect on July 1, 2000.

By the end of 2004, a total of 7,549 same-sex couples had entered civil unions in Vermont, the first state to offer gay couples nearly all the rights and privileges of marriage. There have been 78 dissolutions.

Bari Shamas, of the Vermont Freedom to Marry Task Force, said gay relationships are prone to the same difficulties as heterosexual marriages.

"There's no proof that our relationships are any better than heterosexual relationships," Shamas said.

The report doesn't say, but my guess is that the older one on the left was the one beating the crap out of the younger one on the right.

John Kerry "Jokes" About Impeaching Bush

Two weeks ago John Kerry smiled while standing behind George W. Bush while the President signed a bill to erect a statue for Rosa Parks, since then the Massachusetts senator and Presidential loser has gone back to some of his old tricks.

The Republican Party sees nothing funny about Sen. John F. Kerry's crack that President Bush should be impeached.

If Democrats take back the House in 2006, there would be a "solid case" to bring articles of impeachment against Bush for "misleading" the country about prewar intelligence, the National Journal's Hotline quoted Kerry as saying.

Kerry spoke Wednesday night at a holiday party for those who worked on his losing 2004 presidential campaign. He gave a short speech at a Washington bar.

Hotline said several of the 100 Democrats who attended the party quoted Kerry as advocating President Bush's impeachment.

Kerry's communications director David Wade later said his boss was joking, but Republicans are not laughing.

"With his impeachment advocacy last night, John Kerry once again showed how out of touch he is with American people and how in step he is with the far left fringes of the Democrat party," said RNC Communications Director Brian Jones in a statement.

"For one of the leaders of the Democrat party to begin a push for presidential impeachment, in seriousness or jest, on the eve of the Iraq elections is both foolish and shortsighted."

Kerry reportedly is mulling another run for Democratic presidential nomination in 2008.

A Democratic party that has the gall to allow John Kerry to run for president again in 2008 is a party that should not be taken seriously. I mean, how desperate have the Dems become? Then again, Al Gore took his one shot, lost and gave up. Why can't John Kerry do the same?

Seriously. It's become that bad for John Kerry as he continues to make a buffoon out of himself as calling for the President's impeachment clearly displays. Thus, it'd be political suicide to allow a man positioning himself to be a Howard Dean clone to run for President in '08. If John Kerry runs for President again he'll not only lose, but he'll make an even bogger ass of himself by losing by an even bigger margin than he did in 2004.

Losing a presidential election twice may even 'cause Theresa to divorce him.

After all, the American public has caught up to Kerry's act and they've had enough of it. They know that he is a liar, they know that he's an elitist, they know that he'll say anything to win and they know that he is nothing but a buffer for the extreme Left. The latter becoming even more apparent when Kerry recently accused American soldiers of "terrorizing" Iraqi families.

With incendiary statements that revolve around nothing but pure and utter hatred for Republicans as well as conservatives, John Kerry and Howard Dean have positioned themselves as the two biggest threats to the Democratic party's future. A liberal will never again win the Presidential seat as the Leftist nuts version of what "liberal" means has become so contempt, their extremist views have no place in our party. So if there is any chance of a Democrat being President again, the Dems must separate themselves from arrogant pricks like Howard Dean and John Kerry.

Because Only Black People Riot, Right?

I stand on principle and my faith in God that the death penalty is wrong. I'm against the death penalty, always have been, always will be. The death penalty is wrong because it relies on a criminal justice system that is infallible which it is not. The death peanlty also exploits minorities and the poor, it doesn't serve as a deterrent, it's based on revenge and it is against God's will. So while I had no sympathy for convicted murderer Stanley "Tookie" Williams, I still felt that his sentence should've been commuted to life without the possibility of parole.

But after it took a nurse 11 minutes to find a vein (so much for "painless" death), Tookie's gone now and all the death penalty supporters can feel good about themselves, while us anti-death penalty folk should continue to fight to abolish capital punishment for good.

With that said, amidst the varying reactions of Tookie's death, an undercurrent of racist views has arisen to the surface. An ignorant view, from conservatives and members of The Left that Black people would riot upon Tookie's senseless killing. Yet, as I write this, there hasn't been ONE SINGLE REPORT of any rioting going on in Los Angeles some 2 days after Tookie's death. Meanwhile this week we saw thousands of white dudes rioting and wrecking havoc in Australia over a perceived slight by some Lebanese kids.

But only Black folks riot, right?

"Brokeback Mountain" a movie about 2 gay cowboys finding lust for each other while married with children, is being made into the greatest thing since sliced bread by the Hollywood Left.

LOS ANGELES, California (CNN) -- "Brokeback Mountain," the story of two cowboys grappling with their love for each other, was the top Golden Globe contender Tuesday, picking up seven nominations, including best dramatic picture.

It also was nominated for best director (Ang Lee), best actor in a drama (Heath Ledger) and best supporting actress in a drama (Michelle Williams) as well as best screenplay, best original score and best original song.

"Good Night, and Good Luck," "The Constant Gardener," "A History of Violence" and "Match Point" also were nominated for best dramatic picture.

The nominations came a day after "Brokeback Mountain" won the New York Film Critics Circle's best picture, best director and best actor (Ledger) awards.

Don't be fooled here. The attention "Brokeback Mountain" is receiving has nothing to do with the quality of the movie as it has to do with the continuing war being made against traditional moral values, truth, marriage and God's will. Think about it. One of the most masculine icons of American culture, the cowboy, is being maligned. Then too, the main characters (again) are both married with children, which makes you wonder how accepting would viewers be of this storyline if it was a man and a woman (instead of 2 men) in seperate marriages who found lust with each other?

By making a movie about 2 married men who find love with each other, "Brokeback" elicits compassion from liberals more concerned with sexual proclivity than adultery while appealing to the double standard the country holds on behalf of gays. "Brokeback" also "recruits" more people into looking at homosexuality as being normal as well as accepting same-sex marriage. To think there's already talk of "Brokeback" getting an Oscar for Best Film.

Yet it shouldn't surprise any of us, that this is the type of movie the Hollywood Left would choose to promote and celebrate so heavily. But this movie, this attempt at ridicule by deception, really takes the cake for arrogance, moral depravity and is the ultimate "cheap shot" to tradition, which should be evident to all at this point.

Will Arnold Save Tookie?

With one day left before his impending execution, Stanley "Tookie" Williams chances are running out.

SACRAMENTO, California (CNN) -- California's Supreme Court late Sunday rejected an emergency request to stay the execution of convicted killer Stanley Tookie Williams, who is scheduled to be put to death early Tuesday.

Jonathan Harris, an attorney for Williams, confirmed the court's decision.

Williams' team of attorneys had asked the state Supreme Court for a stay to allow for new arguments to be presented.

Earlier Sunday, attorney Verna Wefald said the legal team was asking for a stay on the basis that Williams should have been allowed to argue that someone else killed one of the four people he was convicted of slaying.

Williams also is awaiting California Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger's decision on clemency, which would commute his death sentence to life in prison without the possibility of parole. Schwarzenegger's office said the decision would not come before Monday.

On Friday, the governor described his looming decision as "a very heavy responsibility."

I'm thinking that if Schwarzenegger felt there was no case for Tookie'e sentence being commuted he would've said so awhile ago. It is my hope that the Governor in making his decision ignores the media hype, ignores the Hollywood celebrities crying for Tookie to get clemency and even ignores the conservatives pleading for Tookie's death.

I hope the governor does the right thing and commutes Tookie's sentence to life without the possibility of parole because he knows that the death penalty is wrong.

Richard Pryor R.I.P.

The greatest comedian of all-time passes on.

LOS ANGELES — Richard Pryor, the groundbreaking comedian whose profanely personal insights into race relations and modern life made him one of Hollywood's biggest stars, died of a heart attack Saturday. He was 65.

Pryor died shortly before 8 a.m. after being taken to a hospital from his home in the San Fernando Valley, said his business manager, Karen Finch. He had been ill for years with multiple sclerosis, a degenerative disease of the nervous system.

Music producer Quincy Jones described Pryor as a true pioneer of his art.

"He was the Charlie Parker of comedy, a master of telling the truth that influenced every comedian that came after him," Jones said in a statement. "The legacy that he leaves will forever be with us."

Richard Pryor was truly a legend and an inspiration to many of the great comedians today. He was one of the few comedians capable of combining political satire with humor. His 1974 album That Nigger's Crazy is an epic and one of the funniest things I've ever heard in my life. While his movie career has been hit and miss, his concert films were great and his teamup with Sidney Poitier in Uptown Saturday Night was classic. I loved The Bingo Long Traveling All-Stars and Harlem Nights, too.

He'll be missed.

CIA Receptionist Valerie Plame Is Quitting Day Job

WASHINGTON - This was the last day of work at the C-I-A for the officer whose exposure led to a criminal investigation in the Bush White House.

Two people who have known Valerie Plame for years say today was her last day with the C-I-A. Neither the agency nor Plame's husband has confirmed that. Plame is married to Bush administration critic and former U-S Ambassador Joseph Wilson.

Plame had served for years at overseas jobs. Her employment was classified until disclosed by conservative columnist Robert Novak. The investigation that followed led to the indictment of Vice President Cheney's former chief of staff, Lewis Libby.

Amazed is how I still feel about all the hubbub made over this woman. A woman who was essentially nothing but a highly paid receptionist for the country's intelligence agency. That said, regardless if anyone really "outed" Valerie Plame, who cares? She did nothing for the CIA anyway, thereby negating any "secret agent" status or any lawbreaking or otherwise on the part of Karl Rove or any of his associates. In between answering phones she even spent a fair amount of time referring to Ambassador Joe Wilson, as "Clown Wilson" and the fact that her "cover" has long been blown did nothing to endanger our nation's security. Yet, for the Left, Plame is just another example of how desperate they are to hurt George W. Bush. And for what? Because an intern nearly brought down Clinton, they gotta get even by using a receptionist to bring down Bush?

The reality is that Valerie Plame has been used. She's been nothing but a smokescreen for the insane hatred the Left has for our President. And what did they get for all their trouble? The Vice President's chief-of-staff?

Big deal.

In fact, if Marc Rich can be pardoned so too should "Scooter" Libby, that's if he's actually found guilty of anything which he shouldn't be. In truth, the hope here is that now that Valerie Plame is finally quitting her highly-paid receptionist job, maybe, just maybe she'll see the light. Maybe she'll see that her husband, a liar, a con artist, a media hog and a longtime Bush antagonist, used her just as much as the Left has. Then too, if she's smart like Hillary maybe she'll score some cash with a book deal talking about all her "troubles", but go away never to be heard from again.

Now that would be nice.

Celebrities Are Idiots #2: Howard Stern

Shock jock Howard Stern, a man who has made millions exploiting misfits and idiots, has a solution to our country's problem's in Iraq.

"We give Saddam Hussein a nice shave, hand him back his old uniform, and put him back in office. Let him tame the fucking place. We need this guy. He's the only one who can calm everybody down. Who else is going to do that? This guy was unbelievable. Sure, he to zap a few guys on their [testicles] to get them in line, but, man, look at what he did. he was no problem. In fact, he kept the Iranians at bay. he helped keep the balance over there. He was more afraid of the Taliban than we are."

Of course Stern forgot the parts about Saddam being an evil dictator who killed hundreds of thousands of his own people and was plotting to acquire WMD's before we captured him, but what does all that matter?

Thank goodness the FCC finally got rid of Stern's tired act.

Judging from the sentiments being expressed by conservatives, if the upcoming possible execution of Tookie Williams' were to be made into a public event, it'd make millions. It would sell out in hours with huge crowds and standing-room only. No doubt that scalpers would make a ton of loot too. No doubt noted boxing boxing promoter and unashamed capitalist Don King would be somewhere in the midst trying to make a buck. Oh, what a grand day it would be!

And why not?

After all, That's how much of a spectacle Williams' has become and the scenario is apt for a conservative movement that wants Tookie Williams head on a platter for all to pass around and see.

And in their haste to see Tookie Williams dead conservatives have even resorted to acting like liberals. Really. They've used smear tactics to attack the Left's support of Williams', they've made up ridiculous arguments comparing Williams gang the Crips to the KKK, they've ignored the facts that the death is not a detterent to crime, that it is barbaric, that it has killed the innocent and that it is blatantly anti-God. They've done all of this under the guise that since Tookie Williams had no mercy on the 4 people he killed, then society should have no mercy on Tookie Williams.

But is all this hatred for Tookie really about the victims?

Because in most of the "Kill Tookie" tirades I've seen and read, the victims are barely mentioned and when they are they seem to be an afterthought.

Personally, I think its the Left's public support of Tookie Williams that has conservatives so bent out-of-shape. Like the celebrities that have come out from their mansions to support Tookie. some even going so far as to wishing that Williams is granted clemency. And of course, since the Left is always wrong, we conservatives must step up and defend ourselves. Nevermind, in this case, the victims, nevermind the fallacies of the death penalty, nevermind that only one family member of the victims has gone public with wanting Tookie Williams dead.

But when you're a conservative hypocrite, stuff like stone-cold facts are better left to be tucked in and dealt with later. Especially when you got another execution to take care of.

Yet again, this isn't about the victims.

The "Kill Tookie" circus is about a bunch of arbitrary death zealots who believe in applying "an eye for eye" when it comes to death, but not other crimes. The "Kill Tookie" circus is about a bunch of death zealots who ignore the poverty, despair and peer pressure that makes many kids join gangs. And the ignorance doesn't stop there.

They ignore that since 1973, according to the Washington-based Death Penalty Information Center, 122 people have been released from Death Row after evidence, increasingly DNA-based, exonerated them. Six of those exonerations occurred just last year. Illinois has gone from a moratorium to a complete clearing of Death Row. Since resuming capital punishment in 1977, Illinois has executed 12 -- but has seen 13 who were sentenced to die later exonerated, often with little time to spare. Even the death penalty zealots should be able to concur that where death is the outcome, that's an unacceptable error rate.

Conservatives are, for all intents and purposes, pro-life. Yet the death zealots refuse to see or note their own contradictions regarding the gift of life. Please tell me how a person who supports the death penalty because they feel that a person deserves to die is any different from a mother who aborts a baby because she feels that a baby shouldn't live because they will born with say, Down's Syndrome? The gift of life is not limited to the deserving. If so, there might only be a few thousand people deserving enough to live on the whole planet, including conservatives.

I dont care what the idiot celebrities think. I don't care about the books that Tookie williams has written. I don't care about who Tookie Williams has inspired to leave gangs. Tookie Williams was convicted of murder and for that he should rot in jail for the rest of his life. If Arnold Schwarzengger is a just man, if he's a man who follows his conscious, if he's a man who stands on principle, then he'd know that because the death penalty is wrong, even a scumbag like Tookie Williams should be able to live.

Liberal Judge Shows Her Ass

Massachusetts' Chief Justice Margaret Marshall, that noted interpreter of the Constitution, who in 2003 led the way for Massachusetts to become the only state to legalize gay marriages, recently proved again that she's nothing but a partisan hack for leftwing self-interests.

Supreme Judicial Court Chief Justice Margaret Marshall publicly apologized yesterday for making an off-the-cuff and - politically speaking, at least - off-color joke about “red states” during a commencement speech in May.
The Judicial Conduct Commission investigated Marshall after a complaint was made by an unidentified Bay State resident “intimately involved in the political process,” said one source familiar with the probe.
Marshall has become a controversial political figure, particularly with the anti-gay-marriage movement, because she authored the SJC’s ruling legalizing homosexual marriage in 2003.
JCC executive director Jill Pearson said she could not divulge the name of the complainant, who contacted the commission after Marshall’s May 22 graduation speech at Brandeis University.
The complainant did not attend the speech, Pearson added.
The speech began with Marshall greeting the audience, acknowledging the hundreds of blue and white balloons at the ceremony and joking: “No red states here.”
Marshall said in her apology released by the JCC yesterday: “The comment was an unconsidered, spontaneous attempt to connect with the exuberant, celebratory feeling in the audience, reflecting the ballons I had seen. I did not intend to say anything of a political nature . . . I regretted the comment as soon as I said it, and that has never waned.”

Judges like Margaret Marshall need to be removed from the bench. When a judge makes a public statement that clearly establishes their disdain for a poltical party, it clearly sends a message that said judge is partisan and thus, cannot fairly dictate law. And any judge who could so grossly ignore the Constitution as Marshall did with her gay marriage ruling, should not only be off the bench, they should have their law license revoked.

Bush Honors Rosa Parks; Speaks On Voting Rights Act

President George W. Bush, that evildoer to Black people, is at it again.

WASHINGTON (AP) -- While honoring civil rights hero Rosa Parks, President Bush on Thursday delighted modern-day black leaders by calling on Congress to renew the provisions of the landmark 1965 Voting Rights Act that are set to expire.

On the 50th anniversary of Parks' refusal to give up to a white man her seat on a bus in Montgomery, Alabama, Bush signed into law a bill directing that a statue of Parks go up in the Capitol's Statuary Hall.

Parks, who died October 24 at age 92, will be the first black woman represented in Statuary Hall, where many states have statues honoring notable people in their history.

Bush credited Parks for helping to "set in motion a national movement for equality and freedom."

"Eventually the civil rights movement would succeed in persuading Congress to pass more sweeping legislation that dealt with voting rights and discrimination in public places, and school segregation," said the president. "And the United States Congress should renew the Voting Rights Act of 1965."

That declaration surprised many of the civil rights leaders, Parks relatives and politicians who had gathered at the White House for the signing ceremony. They erupted in applause and rose to give Bush a standing ovation.

The Rev. Jesse Jackson lavishly praised Bush for committing to seeing the expiring portions of the Voting Rights Act extended. He called the president's public urging "a significant breakthrough" since he had previously declined even in private to support the renewal.

"That was kind of a double victory for civil rights today," Jackson said.

Now considering how much George W. Bush supposedly doesn't care about us Black folk (yunno, making up lies to start wars, creating hurricanes and planting bombs in levees, etc.), this little bit of news certainly comes as a major surprise. Any wonder that the conspiracy-theorist wing of the Left hasn't said much about it?

Of course, if you're reading this and happen to know Kanye West, please make sure he's notified about it as soon as possible.

Celebrities Are Idiots #1: Charlize Theron

Playing a man-hating, lesbian serial killer can do stuff for you like win a Best Actress Oscar, propel you into becoming an icon within the gay community and even cause you to make dumb decisions in your personal life.

Theron, 30, who met Stuart while filming Trapped in 2001, confessed that, tired of answering questions like when she is going to marry her lover, decided, together with Townsend, to tell the reporters that they're planning a wedding on the day when gay and lesbians will be legally allowed to marry.

Theron tells US news show Extra, "We came up with a new idea that we said that we would get married the day that gays and lesbians can get married - when that right is given to them.

We've decided that we're gonna use that in a positive way, so the day that law gets passed then we'll get married."

Here's hoping Charlize Theron never gets married.

For Supreme Court Seat, Abortion Is All That Matters

So liberals have dug deep and found more ammunition to stop Samuel Alito's confirmation to the Supreme Court.

(AP) As a Reagan administration lawyer in 1985, Samuel Alito made clear his hope that the Supreme Court would one day overturn a landmark ruling that established abortion rights. But Alito, now a Supreme Court nominee, argued against an all-out assault on the Roe v. Wade ruling, fearing such an assault would fail.

Instead, he recommended a policy of "mitigating its effects" by trying to persuade justices to accept state regulations on abortions. While working as an assistant to the solicitor general, Alito called for the office, which represents the federal government before the Supreme Court, to help defend provisions of the Pennsylvania Abortion Control Act.

Some of the act's provisions had been overturned by a panel of the 3rd U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals in the case American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists v. Thornburgh. Alito wrote in the memo, released by the National Archives on Wednesday, that "no one seriously believes that the court is about to overrule Roe v. Wade.

"But, he said, "By taking these cases, the court may be signaling an inclination to cut back. What can be made of this opportunity to advance the goals of bringing about the eventual overruling of Roe v. Wade and, in the meantime, of mitigating its effects?".

Let's face it. Where you stand on abortion is not only the defining point of whether or not you'll be on the Supreme Court, its become the ONLY point. A seat on the Supreme Court no longer requires any skills, a resume, Constitutional profiency or previous experience on the bench, it's where you stand on abortion, even Clarence Thomas had enough fortitude to make this point not too long ago.

If George W. Bush nominated Maureen Dowd to the highest court, liberals wouldn't bat an eye, much less make threats to filibuster as they're already doing with Alito. The Liberal Mafia could care less about the integrity of the Court as long as the billion-dollar cash cow that is the abortion industry is protected.

So while our Constitution gives our electors the right to address and question a Supreme Court nominee, instead we are seeing a group of individuals on the Left putting aside what's best for our country in turn for votes from special interest groups. With control of the House and the Senate, Republicans need to do whatever they can to make sure that Samuel Alito, a man who is more then qualified to be on the highest court, gets his due.

Polls They Won't Talk About

I don't believe in polls. To me they're meaningless and a serious waste of time. But I do believe in continual rampant media bias against the right and conservatives. So while liberals continue to punch out numbers that supposedly reflect how the nation feels about our President, here's another poll that will undoubtedly get little to no love.

Democrats fumed last week at Vice President Cheney's suggestion that criticism of the administration's war policies was itself becoming a hindrance to the war effort. But a new poll indicates most Americans are sympathetic to Cheney's point.

Seventy percent of people surveyed said that criticism of the war by Democratic senators hurts troop morale -- with 44 percent saying morale is hurt "a lot," according to a poll taken by RT Strategies. Even self-identified Democrats agree: 55 percent believe criticism hurts morale, while 21 percent say it helps morale.

The results surely will rankle many Democrats, who argue that it is patriotic and supportive of the troops to call attention to what they believe are deep flaws in President Bush's Iraq strategy. But the survey itself cannot be dismissed as a partisan attack. The RTs in RT Strategies are Thomas Riehle, a Democrat, and Lance Tarrance, a veteran GOP pollster.

Their poll also indicates many Americans are skeptical of Democratic complaints about the war. Just three of 10 adults accept that Democrats are leveling criticism because they believe this will help U.S. efforts in Iraq. A majority believes the motive is really to "gain a partisan political advantage."

Of course, despite its bipartisan merit polls like this are meaningless to the Left because they don't reflect negatively on Bush and of course, troop moral isn't important when you have 2,000 unknown pollsters (in a country of 300million+ denizens & a 100million+ voters) telling us what the current nation's temperature is on a daily basis.

Polls? Schmolls.

Joe Lieberman Says We Should Stay In Iraq

Of course, this kind of talk won't get near as much hype compared to when a Democrat comes out and says that the troops should come home.

Fresh from his fourth trip to Iraq in the past 17 months, Sen. Joe Lieberman insists the U.S. must stay in the embattled nation and not abandon "27 million Iraqis to 10,000 terrorists."

"The Iraqi people are in reach of a watershed transformation from the primitive, killing tyranny of Saddam to modern, self-governing, self-securing nationhood – unless the great American military that has given them and us this unexpected opportunity is prematurely withdrawn," the Connecticut Democrat writes in an opinion piece for the Wall Street Journal.

Pointing to economic and political progress he witnessed while in Iraq, Lieberman said:
"People are working their way toward a functioning society and economy in the midst of a very brutal, inhumane, sustained terrorist war against the civilian population and the Iraqi and American military there to protect it.

"It is a war between 27 million and 10,000; 27 million Iraqis who want to live lives of freedom, opportunity and prosperity and roughly 10,000 terrorists who are either Saddam revanchists, Iraqi Islamic extremists or al-Qaida foreign fighters who know their wretched causes will be set back if Iraq becomes free and modern ...

In 2000, the Al Gore/Joe Lieberman presidential ticket was seen as a vehicle of positive change within the Democratic party. A ticket that would turn the page on the worsening economy and the Monica Lewinsky/Denise Rich scandals that came to mark Bill Clinton's second term. But then Gore lost to Bush and quizzocaily decided not to run again in 2004 (tho' the feeling here is that Gore would've had a better shot of defeating George W. Bush in 2004 then John Kerry).

As for Lieberman, tho' he was highly praised for his centrist views in 2000 (views that many back in '00 thought would propel Gore to the presidency), he has since been castigated by leftist Democrats for not taking on hardline anti-Republican stances including the line they're running with now about bringing our troops home.

Funny how soon things change.

Let Stanley "Tookie" Williams Live

Conservatives are steaming over the news that Tookie Williams may get a chance to live.

SAN FRANCISCO, California (AP) -- California Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger said he would consider granting clemency to convicted killer Stanley "Tookie" Williams, the Crips gang founder who became an anti-gang activist while in prison and was nominated for the Nobel Peace Prize.

The governor said Friday he would meet December 8 in a private hearing with Williams' lawyers, Los Angeles County prosecutors and others involved.

Schwarzenegger has the authority to commute a death sentence to life without parole, but he is not obligated to hold a hearing. In Schwarzenegger's case, he decides clemency requests on a "case-by-case basis," spokeswoman Margita Thompson said.

Two other clemency petitions have come before Schwarzenegger. Neither was granted.

Williams, 51, faces a lethal injection on December 13 for the 1979 slayings of a Whittier convenience store clerk and three people at a Pico Rivera motel. He has maintained his innocence and has asked the California Supreme Court to reopen his case, alleging shoddy forensics wrongly connected him to three of the murders. The Supreme Court hasn't ruled on the petition.

I'm against the death penalty, always have been, always will be.

The death penalty is not only immoral, but it's racist and it doesn't do anything to deter crime. The death penalty is nothing but revenge or so-called "just" payback for those who have been convicted of murder. Nothing more, nothing less. It solves nothing. It doesn't take away the pain of losing a loved one. It doesn't bring them back. It's nothing more then a judgment call rooted in anger. A judgment call that no human being has the right to make.

I always find it frightening when so-called "Christians" cry aloud in unison that a human being should be put to death. I always find it mind-boggling that so-called "pro-lifers" ignore their own hypocrisy when they make themselves part of the same group of fiends maddenly in love with the death penalty.

Of course, some conservatives can be excused for just being blinded by the ir utter hatred for liberals.

You see, Stanley "Tookie" Williams' case has been supported and taken up by those on the Left and of course, the simple-minded notion is that anything taken up by liberals must be wrong. But put aside your contempt and you might get to see that Tookie Williams' case has nothing to with Republican vs. Democrat or Left vs. Right or Conservative vs. Liberal.

And mind you, this is all coming from a person who despises liberals.

But Tookie's Williams' case has nothing to do with politics. It has nothing to do with the media hype. It has nothing to do with the treacherous gang he started, the Crips. It has nothing to do with everyone from rapper Snoop Dogg to Jamie Foxx coming out in support of Tookie Williams especially because Jesse Jackson having the gall to cry for Tookie Williams being released from jail only supports my claim of what an ass Jesse Jackson has become.

Tookie Smith's case is about you and me, I and them. In other words, this case is about all of us.

Tookie Smith was convicted of murdering 4 people. He was found guilty through the use of a criminal justice system that so many of us love and support. A criminal justice system that may be far from perfect, but is still the best regardless. So much so that many other countries around the world have adopted our methods of criminology within theirs....tho' some may not admit it, it's still flattering nonetheless, right?

But therein lies the problem

Because in the case of Tookie Williams, what's been going on in his life can't be flattering, it's an insult, especially to the loved ones of those he took away. The fact that Tookie Williams has become an celebrity icon is like a knife being twisted in the back of those he killed, but it also speaks to a penalty phase of our criminal justice system that seriously needs to be fixed. And soon.

You see, I believe that when you are convicted of a crime, any crime, you give up all the right's afforded to citizens who don't commit crimes. But in the case of Stanley Williams this hasn't happened and that's where our outrage should be. Convicted murderers should be locked in a jail cell 23 hours a day for the rest of their natural lives. They should be allowed to bathe once a week, allowed to eat once a day. Their lifetime jail cells should be equipped with nothing but a toilet, a sink and a hard bed made of stone. They shouldn't be allowed to read, write or have any notion as to whats going on in the world outside the bars they now deservedly call home. There should be no relent for "good behavior". No chance for parole, no phone calls either. And they should be allowed visitors only once every 3 months with all conversations being screened and the only family members allowed in being those with bloodlines. Convicted murderers should be made to think about their actions every single minute of every single day of the rest of their lives. They should be broken to the point that they don't want to live. That's the sort of punishment that suits the crime of killing someone.

But our criminal justice system doesn't allow for that sort of longterm punishment and you know that the ACLU will come a running the minute they hear anything of the such. That's what we should be angry about.

We should be angry at a criminal justice system that has allowed Tookie Williams to write books, to make speeches, have movies made about his life and literally become a role model to thousands of young men. We should be mad at the idiots behind the Nobel Peace Prize who had the audacity to elect Williams for their award. We should also remember that most of the people who get the death penalty are nonwhite and poor and that's not something that liberals made up, it's a blatant fact and speaks to another great wrong within our system.

We must remember too that because our criminal justice system is not perfect, the death penalty, the ultimate justice, becomes even more unjust and invalid. Just last week a teenager came forward to admit that he lied about Ruben Cantu, a teenager who was executed for a murder that we now come to find out that Cantu didn't commit. The eyewitness admitted that he was pressured by police into pointing the finger at Cantu. Oh yeah, that's great, but Cantu was executed back in 1993.

Oops!

But how many Cantu's are out there. How many people lie in wait on death row convicted of crimes they really didn't commit? How many death row inmates are victims of bad lawyers or inept witnesses? How often have we read about cases where DNA evidence has freed prisoners convicted of crimes? But death penalty supporters don't seem to have the time for all of that. Then again it's so easy to cop attitudes from afar when you're not the one involved with the crime.

The death penalty didn't prevent the crimes committed by Tookie Williams and it's not a solution to it. Tookie Williams should've been made to rot from the minute he was found guilty. He should've been treated like the murderer he is until his last dying breathe. I don't care about all the "good deeds' he's done since his incarceration because as far as I'm concerned he lost all rights to do good deeds a long time ago. I don't care how much he's tried to turn around his life or how much of an influence he's had on kids. Tookie Williams knew the difference between right and wrong when he killed and what's right is right. But while he may "deserve" to die, it's not on us to make that call.

Since Gov. Schwarzenegger is in his rights to do so, I hope he'll do the right thing by not even considering to grant Williams clemency, but instead converting his sentence to life without the possibility of parole. That way Williams will continue to rot as much as our system allows.

Innocent "Victim"? Or Evil Little Tramp?

Kara Borden has finally been served with an affivadit charging that she willingly went along with her psycho boyfriend after he killed her parents.

It appears the case against a Pennsylvania teen accused of killing his girlfriend's parents is shaping up as one that will also result in counts being filed against the girlfriend, perhaps even murder charges, according to one expert. Court papers filed Monday by Lancaster County prosecutors say Kara Borden, 14, left willingly with boyfriend, David Ludwig, 18, after he gunned down her parents last week.

The documents say Ludwig told detectives Borden ran from her home and into his car shortly after he shot the couple, and Borden said she went with him of her own free will. Kidnapping charges against Ludwig will be dropped, the papers say. Ludwig said he shot Kara's parents after her father told him to stop seeing her, according to the papers. She got in the car and said she wanted to "get as far away as possible, get married, and start a new life," the papers quote Ludwig as telling detectives.

CBS News legal analyst Wendy Murphy told The Early Show co-anchor Julie Murphy that, "Certainly, the fact that (authorities are) no longer referring to her as a kidnap victim, that she did in fact go willingly with him after the fact, is a step closer to charges. Now, it's not a done deal, but you can bet that that's the move the police are making at this point. "

If she is charged because she was part of the planning, if she is charged because she was sort of a co-conspirator, she will face murder charges, even if she didn't pull the trigger. And the important thing to know about this, in terms of Pennsylvania law, is because she's 14, she's old enough to be transferred to adult court, be prosecuted as an adult and face, not the death penalty because of her age, but life behind bars."

It's about time.

This should've happened awhile ago.

Point blank. Kara Borden should be locked up as a co-conspirator to murder. The police have been slow doing their job as It should've been obvious from the beginning that this girl was the "get away driver" while her psycho boyfriend robbed the bank.

From the beginning Kara Borden knew exactly what she was doing dating a guy 4 years older against her parents' wishes. Yet she did it anyway, even going so far as to brag about it on her own blog. Then too, while she was out doing God knows what with her "boyfriend", she tried to pass herself off as an innocent "Christian girl" who read her Bible and got good grades in school. But all that was a small part of Kara Borden's scam as she continued to hide a relationship that she knew was wrong from her parents.

And from there it only got worse.

Because sweet lil' Kara had to know that her "boyfriend" might be a little sadistic especially with hobbies that included posing with dead deer carcasses and playing with swords. On top of that I'm sure "innocent" little Kara had to knew plenty about her boyfriend's little gun collection, yet she STILL chose to stay with a budding psycho. Granted, 14-year-old girls can be pretty rebellious and incredibly naive, but that doesn't take away from the fact that most 14-year-old girls listen to their parents and don't date 18yo young men.

To think that people wanna' feel sorry for this young lil' con artist/slut/heathen? Then too I've had a serious problem with the media's reckless portrayal of this con artist as a "victim". Why? Because of her looks? Or because she's now in the "grief-stricken" stage of the Oscar deserving performance she's taken on throughout this entire ordeal?

Bottom line is that Kara Borden played as much a role in getting her parents killed as David Ludwig did. I say arrest her, try her as an adult, find her guilty and let her dumb ass rot in jail for the rest of her life. It's the least the criminal justice system can do for two parents now dead all because they loved their daughter a little bit too much.

The Ellen DeGeneres Parade Needs To End

Ellen DeGeneres tells People magazine that she wants to have kids.

I think we should do it (have a child) soon...When I'm around babies, I just melt. It's a big responsibility", she told America's People magazine.Ellen DeGeneres has also talked about America's strict anti-gay marriage laws, as she wants to make sure her partner would be well looked after if anything should happen to her. I've had enough with the media's obsession of Ellen Degeneres and the fact that this talentless woman keeps getting paid millions to share her non-talent with the rest of the world. Mind you, I understand why Ellen Degeneres gets so much attention, I just don't agree with it. I understand that she's the homosexual's version of Mother Theresa, that her coming "out" on her own TV show some years back was seen as some sort of courageous act. And that like most gays, she is defined by who she sleeps with. I understand that, believe me I do.

But when does this charade end?

For starters, the fact that people keep referring to her as a "comedian" is an insult to real professionals who get paid to make people laugh. I've seen Ellen's comedy "act" and sorry, but she's just not funny. And believe me, i tried really hard to laugh. I really like to laugh.Then again, I don't even think that most gay people find her funny. I think gays are just so happy to have such a public fugure to latch onto that anything that comes out of Ellen's mouth is treated like gospel. Same thing goes for Rosie O'Donnell. Same thing too for Sheryl Swoopes now that she's announced that she's gay (and BLACK and that!, now you just know the Left can't wait to take advantage of that lucrative combo).

But now we're supposed to believe that Ellen and her latest lover (how ironic that so many gays refer to their "significant others" by belittling them with that term) Portia De Rossi want to have kids? Gimme a break! And do the "kids" get to have any say in all this? Of course not. But better they have duct tape put on their mouths then be murdered, right?

Then again, gay or straight, celebrities who go on the media declaring their undying "love" for someone should never be taken seriously. That's why I give Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes 5 years tops because relationships are hard enough without making them a public spectacle. And In Ellen's case we saw this before when she went on "Queen Oprah" declaring her eternal love for Anne Heche (who I guess didn't find the homosexual lifestyle lucrative enough, dumped Ellen soon afterwards, went back to being straight and is now married to a man!).

Plus, someone needs to remind Ellen and her lover that they can't have a kid. Not naturally anyway, or yunno, the way God intended. Oh sure we have laws coerced on us by liberals that now allow gays to adopt and we have manmade sperm banks that pay men to donate their sperm to "clinics" that will allow Ellen's lover to be impregnated. But thank God Ellen and her lover's lust for each other prohibits them from having a kid or, if you want, check out the "nut & screw" creed.

The only thing I can say that I like about Ellen is the fact that she really doesn't try to be political. Besides going on record in support for the Matthew Shepherd Lie a few years back, I really haven't noticed Ellen taking as much advantage for her lust for women as she probably could . . . yunno, endorsement deals, her own gay network, maybe even her own cruise line for lesbians. I'll give her credit for that as I've seen too many gays in the spotlight use their chosen lifestyle as a means to acquire newfound "rights" that shouldn't exist. But the fact that Ellen remains in the limelight with a successful talk-show to boot (some years after she publicly announced that she was "retiring" from showbiz) makes her political regardless of her intentions, because she has become that important to the gay agenda.

While I understand that, I don't have to agree with it.
