All Bets Are Off: Idiot Christine O'Donnell Says Her Influences Include God And Gloria Steinem

CNN.com:
In a recent interview with the Christian Broadcasting Network, Christine O'Donnell listed both God and Gloria Steinem as sources of inspiration and influence when times get tough on the campaign trail.

The interview was conducted by CBN's The Brody File on Friday at Wesley College in Dover, Delaware and is posted on CBN's website.

O'Donnell cited a double standard she believes is being applied to women, specifically conservative women who choose to run for office. "I don't feel it because I don't watch the news. (Laughs) No. I do feel it. There's certainly a double standard and I don't often quote Gloria Steinem but she said you can look at a double standard if they wouldn't attack the male opponent that way and there's no doubt that they wouldn't say the things they're saying about me, they wouldn't do the things that they're doing if I weren't a woman. I'm not whining but there certainly is a double standard especially when it comes to conservative woman."

O'Donnell then delved into faith stating, "God is the reason that I'm running. If I didn't believe that there were a cause greater than myself worth fighting for, if I didn't believe that it takes a complete dying of self to make things right in this election cycle I would not be running and when you die to yourself you rely on a power greater than yourself so prayer is what's gotten us all through."
Gloria Steinem? Really now? One of the most radically-liberal and divisive figures on teh Left? A woman whose done nothing but set back women's  by continuously play the "victim" card? A woman whose smeared conservative women over and over and over again is one of your influences?!?

Hypocrite Feminist Gloria Steinem Stays Silent On David Letterman Rape Jokes

Newsbusters.org:
On Wednesday night’s O’Reilly Factor, Bill O’Reilly circled around the David Letterman teen-got-knocked-up crack against the Palins, noticing that the Women’s Media Center, founded by uber-feminists Gloria Steinem and Jane Fonda, harangued O’Reilly for mocking Helen Thomas for having a voice like the “Wicked Witch of the East,” but made no protest on Palin’s behalf to the Letterman show:

BILL O’REILLY: Now, women's groups. As you know, Sarah Palin and David Letterman. Not one woman's group -- no, NOW said something. I'm sorry. The National Organization for Women said, "Dave." OK. But no protests, no anything like that. But remember when I made fun of Helen Thomas, what happened? Roll the tape.

HELEN THOMAS, JOURNALIST: Do you think that Pakistan and -- are maintaining the safe havens in Afghanistan for these so-called terrorists?

O'REILLY: The White House press corps looked intimidated to me. Didn't they look intimidated? Except for that what's her name? The old lady, Helen Thomas. [Makes a noise like a dying crow.] It's like the wicked witch of the east.

ALAN COLMES: I didn't know you did impersonations.

O'REILLY: If I were Obama, I would have poured water on her.

COURTNEY MARTIN, MEMBER, WOMEN'S MEDIA CENTER: I think we both know that Helen Thomas is fine with being criticized for her work, for her actual journalism. But to take an attack at her appearance is just disrespectful.

O'REILLY: What was the appearance attack?

MARTIN: When is the first time you complimented a woman by calling her a witch?

O'REILLY: I didn't call her a witch. I said her voice sounded like - - and I did the voice. That was clear. (END VIDEO CLIP)

O'REILLY: Alright. Now, the Women's Media Center, which came on and said nasty things about me, not a word about Sarah Palin. We checked their Web site. We monitored. Not one word. So I say to you, [Margaret] Hoover, women's groups, pressure groups, all ideological now, all on the far left, and they're done!

The Women's Media Center statement on O'Reilly in February insisted they were the type of feminists who stuck up for all women:

It was an attack no woman deserves--including this accomplished, award winning journalist working in the White House press corps, where women are underrepresented. The Women's Media Center demonstrated in its Sexism Sells But We're Not Buying It viral campaign that sexist remarks went unchecked by networks during the primary season. Now, as then, the WMC demands accountability.

An immediate public apology is required.

But the WMC doesn't "demand accountability" when Palin and her daughters are the targets of nasty mockery. As O'Reilly was calling them out, the WMC was handing out awards in Manhattan. MediaBistro's Fishbowl NY blog reported that Gloria Feldt, WMC board member and former Planned Parenthood boss, claimed at the dinner: "The mission of WMC is to point out, with your help, all the bull[bleep]...wherever it is."

You wouldn't be able to shut them up if someone dared to make rape jokes about Hillary Clinton.

Nazi-Feminist Gloria Steinem Attacks Sarah Palin

Another reminder from the Gospel of Nazi-Feminists and its leader
Gloria Steinem to all women on the planet Earth: if you support the sanctity of human life you are not a real woman:
This isn't the first time a boss has picked an unqualified woman just because she agrees with him and opposes everything most other women want and need. Feminism has never been about getting a job for one woman. It's about making life more fair for women everywhere. It's not about a piece of the existing pie; there are too many of us for that. It's about baking a new pie.

Selecting Sarah Palin, who was touted all summer by Rush Limbaugh, is no way to attract most women, including die-hard Clinton supporters. Palin shares nothing but a chromosome with Clinton. Her down-home, divisive and deceptive speech did nothing to cosmeticize a Republican convention that has more than twice as many male delegates as female, a presidential candidate who is owned and operated by the right wing and a platform that opposes pretty much everything Clinton's candidacy stood for -- and that Barack Obama's still does. To vote in protest for McCain/Palin would be like saying, "Somebody stole my shoes, so I'll amputate my legs."
Ah, tired, old liberal fear mongering at its best. Of course, any idiot with a brain knows that a reversal of Roe vs. Wade would not make abortion illegal, it would only turn it back to the states for them to decide its course (of course, liberals only love state rights when it fits their Anti-Christian, immoral agenda). But the other FACTS liberals fail to mention when discussing Roe v. Wade is that even if a President McCain were given the OPPORTUNITY to select a conservative judge for SCOTUS (after a current member died or resigned), what do you think his/her chances would be of getting pass a Democratic-controlled Congress? Conservatives recall what liberals did to Robert Bork and chances are more likely than not that Nancy Pelosi, Harry Reid and the rest of the do-nothing Dems will still be controlling Congress regardless of who wins the presidency this November.

Ok, ok, let's go back to how liberals love to exploit Roe vs. Wade.....so somehow, someway, a President McCain gets a conservative judge on SCOTUS, there would STILL have to be a case presented to SCOTUS that's strong enough to challenge the constitutionality of Roe v. Wade. But that's only AFTER that case makes it through ALL the levels of the judicial system. THEN that case would have to be approved by SCOTUS for them to even hear it (remember SCOTUS turns down like 2/3rds of the cases brought before them). Consider that in the 35 years since Roe vs. Wade was passed its gone unchallenged and there isn't any sign on the horizon that it will be soon. Therefore, by attacking Sarah Palin, Gloria Steinem shows us again that she is nothing but a rich, narcissistic, white, liberal elitist whose gotten by exploiting women's fears and the fact that she can't even acknowledge the significance of a woman possibly being Vice-President just shows once again why her and her minions are scum.

Will Hillary Denounce Gloria Steinem?

Hillary could be
on the brink, so leave it to feminist "icon" Gloria Steinem to come out, play the "victim" card and even go so far as to diss John McCain's war record:
WASHINGTON - One of Hillary Rodham Clinton's best-known supporters, feminist author Gloria Steinem, belittled John McCain's ordeal as a prisoner of war and the torture he endured as a captured Navy airman.

"I mean, hello?" Steinem told a Texas crowd Saturday night as she was discussing McCain's captivity by the Viet Cong.

"This is supposed to be a qualification to be president? I don't think so," The New York Observer quoted her as saying.

The red-faced Clinton campaign quickly denounced Steinem's remarks.

"Senator Clinton has repeatedly praised Senator McCain's courage and service to our country," campaign spokesman Howard Wolfson said.

McCain senior adviser Mark Salter said that the Republican's 51/2 years in captivity indeed made him more qualified to be commander-in-chief.

"Would you put your country before your own life? Check. Can you perform under great stress? Check. Does it test your courage? Check," Salter said.

Steinem's slap at McCain's service in Vietnam came during a "Women for Hillary" campaign event in Austin on Sunday night.

Billary's campaign denounced Steinem's despicable remarks, but not Hillary herself and this the man she could be facing for President of the United States come November. You'll recall that this isn't the first time that Steinem has made moronic comments in support of Hillary during this campaign. The question is will it backfire? As Hillary continues to whine about supposed media bias, "experience", Obama mailers, Texas caucuses and who has to answer the question first in debates, it's her friends in the loon wing that could come back to haunt her the most. Steinem's brand of feminism not only plays the victim card, but it concentrates on results, not rights, progressive ideology at it's most divisive. In 2008 most of the country can recognize Steinem for the bullshit artist she is.

Gloria Steinem: Insane Liberal of the Week

Age:
73

Birthplace: Toledo, Ohio

Claim To Fame: feminist icon and founder of Ms. magazine

Why She’s Dumbest Liberal of the Week: For her ridiculous op-ed piece (titled “Women Are Never Frontrunners”) in the New York Times this past in which the staunch feminist (reaching to make excuses for Barack Obama surging past Hillary Clinton the Democratic primaries) asserted that if Obama were a woman, he wouldn’t be elected. Predictably, Ms. Steinem also went on to gripe that gender “is probably the most restricting force in American life.” A blasphemous claim when you consider the dearth of poverty (who would choose being born poor over being born female) as well as the history of race in America (note that Steinem never deals with the hypothetical of where Hillary would be in this race if she was a black woman), but then like most white, liberal feminist bigots, gender still outranks every other oppression known to man, even if the biggest struggle you’ve ever had to deal with as a female was dealing with your husband’s very public extra-marital affairs.

Mind you, Steinem’s op-ed was written before Hillary’s stunning comeback win in the New Hampshire primary. Let’s see if Steinem writes a follow-up blaming Barack’s loss on race.

Idiot Gloria Steinem Plays Sexism Card For Hillary

It's rampant sexism that's causing Hillary's downfall, so says feminist pioneer
Gloria Steinem:

Gender is probably the most restricting force in American life, whether the question is who must be in the kitchen or who could be in the White House. This country is way down the list of countries electing women and, according to one study, it polarizes gender roles more than the average democracy.

That’s why the Iowa primary was following our historical pattern of making change. Black men were given the vote a half-century before women of any race were allowed to mark a ballot, and generally have ascended to positions of power, from the military to the boardroom, before any women (with the possible exception of obedient family members in the latter).

Of course, no mention from Ms. Steinem that there are far more female politicians in this country than blacks. Or that only a couple of months ago everyone in the liberal media and Hillary winning her party's nomination in a landslide (no concerns of any gender bias back then). Or that more female voters in Iowa voted for Barack Obama than Hillary. Or any mention of the Billary machine's strong advantage in funds, name recognition and experience coming into this election. Or that Hillary is still considered one of the most powerful women in the country, especially when you consider her two recent landslide victories running for senator of New York (both of which she ran against men). No, if you're a loony radical feminist like Gloria Steinem, if a woman isn't at the forefront it's because of the work of evil men . . . so simplistic, lame, tired and just downright stupid.
