Is Elizabeth Warren Tanking?

The architect of "You didn't build that" could be in for a major loss...to a Republican in a liberal state:

I joked the other day about Elizabeth Warren’s Mike Dukakis Tank moment.

Maybe tanking was the right word, because a PPP poll just released shows Warren 5 points behind and Warren’s negatives rising dramatically (emphasis mine):

PPP’s newest poll on the Massachusetts Senate race finds Scott Brown opening up a 5 point lead, 49-44. This is the first time Brown has led in one of our polls since June of 2011. Our last poll, in June of this year, found a tie and the two before that had modest leads for Elizabeth Warren.

Brown continues to do well because of his personal popularity and because voters see him as different from the Republican Party as a whole. 53% of voters approve of the job he’s doing to 36% who disapprove. Incumbents with those kinds of approval numbers generally don’t lose. Brown’s approval has improved a net 14 points from March when he was at +3 (45/42).

Warren’s numbers are headed in the other direction. On that poll her favorability was 46/33 and now it’s 46/43- her negatives have risen 10 points over the last five months while her positives have remained unchanged.

Got that?  Warren’s negatives have risen 10%.  I’m not about to take any credit for that.

Oh, hell, on an akin, breakin day like this, I need to cheer myself us, so I’ll take a small bit of the credit for helping to expose the truth, which necessarily would cause Warren’s negatives to rise.

I’ll leave it to others to see if there are any sampling differences which might explain the change from the prior poll by PPP.  I’m just going to take whatever good news I can get today without question.

And I’ll add this, from Cole DeLaune writing at Indian Country Today, accusing Warren of “spiritual genocide” and calling her a “pathological revisionist”:

In Warren’s model of ethnic distinction, neither practical experience nor community affiliation applies; one can simply appropriate the mantle of Cherokee lineage at personal discretion. Per this formulation, the disparities between discrete cultures are meaningless, and Professor Warren is effectively championing a subtle variety of spiritual genocide.

A November victory for this pathological revisionist will legitimize abjectly appalling notions about indigenous identity….

Elizabeth Warren Admits Listing Herself As Native American At Harvard, Penn

Conservatives are well aware that white liberals love to use black people to foster and push their corrupt, anti-God, social agenda--it's a tactic that's worked well for the Left for decades now and black liberals continue to let them get away with it. But a rising white liberal attempting to use another minority, say Native Americans, to get ahead in life? Well, let's just say that when it comes to getting used, the Natives don't play that:

Democratic Senate candidate Elizabeth Warren acknowledged for the first time late Wednesday night that she told Harvard University and the University of Pennsylvania that she was Native American, but she continued to insist that race played no role in her recruitment.
 

“At some point after I was hired by them, I . . . provided that information to the University of Pennsylvania and Harvard,’’ she said in a statement issued by her campaign. “My Native American heritage is part of who I am, I’m proud of it and I have been open about it.’’
 

Warren’s statement is her first acknowledgment that she identified herself as Native American to the Ivy League schools. While she has said she identified herself as a minority in a legal directory, she has carefully avoided any suggestion during the last month that she took further actions to promote her purported heritage.
 

When the issue first surfaced last month, Warren said she only learned Harvard was claiming her as a minority when she read it in the Boston Herald.

Warren’s new statement came after the Globe asked her campaign about documents it obtained Wednesday from Harvard’s library showing that the university’s law school began reporting a Native American female professor in federal statistics for the 1992-93 school year, the first year Warren worked at Harvard, as a visiting professor.

A campaign official said they had no records indicating that she had informed Harvard of Native American heritage that year.
 

The official further said that Warren had been unable to answer questions about the issue before now because she had forgotten many of the details and had asked her campaign to thoroughly review the evidence. The campaign declined to say whether Warren provided the information to Harvard and Penn verbally or by checking a box on a form.

The Harvard records do not list a Native American during the years Warren returned to her post at the University of Pennsylvania, but begin to list one in 1995-96, when she returned to Cambridge as a tenured professor.

White, Far-Left, Socialist Politician Elizabeth Warren Listed Herself As Native American At U Penn

Elizabeth Warren is a liar and a scam artist who used minorities to get her way to the top:

Facing a flap over her past claims of Native American ancestry, Elizabeth Warren was identified as a minority faculty member at the University of Pennsylvania, where the Massachusetts Senate candidate worked from 1987 to 1995, according to the Associated Press.

A committee established to review the status of minorities on the faculty of the university produced a report which noted that only eight of the 112 awards given out during a 13-year span were given to minority teachers. Warren was listed among the eight minority teachers who had won a teacher award. The report was written in 2005, a decade after Warren had left the faculty at the University of Pennsylvania.

The new information gives more context to the claims of Warren’s opponent, Sen. Scott Brown (R-Mass.), who slammed her earlier this week for “serious questions [that] have been raised about the legitimacy of Elizabeth Warren’s claims to Native American ancestry and whether it was appropriate for her to assume minority status as a college professor.”

Harvard Law School had previously touted Warren as a minority hire, and she had been listed as a minority in a law school directory between 1986 and 1995, according to the Boston Herald.

Other documents were also obtained by the Associated Press showing that she identified as “white” on an employment record at the University of Texas and, while applying for admission to Rutgers Law School, she declined to do so under a program for minority students.

Warren’s campaign insisted that the candidate had never leaned on her Native American roots.

“At every law school where Elizabeth was recruited to teach, it has been made absolutely clear she was hired based on merit; on her accomplishments and ability,” Warren spokeswoman Alethea Harney told the AP Thursday. “Documents from the college and law school from which she graduated show that Elizabeth did not seek special treatment by acknowledging her Native American heritage.”

President Obama will select Elizabeth Warren to join the administration in a special advisory role to help form the new Consumer Financial Protection Bureau, a watchdog agency she first proposed back in 2007.


The move, first reported by ABC News' Jake Tapper, gives Warren an important role in creation of the bureau, but avoids, for now, a confirmation fight in the Senate. Her selection will appease a slew of prominent lawmakers, progressives, and labor unions who in recent months have clamored for her nomination to the post.


After all, the new agency -- part of the sweeping Wall Street reform bill that passed Congress earlier this summer -- was Warren's brainchild. In 2007 Warren, the Harvard Law professor and bailout watchdog, proposed the creation of "a new regulatory body to protect consumers who use credit cards, home mortgages, car loans, and a host of other products.


"Clearly it is time for a new model of financial regulation, one focused primarily on consumer safety rather than corporate profitability," Warren wrote in the summer of 2007.


Though Warren led the charge for greater consumer protections, she was far from a shoo-in to oversee the new agency. Some prominent members of the administration and Congress questioned whether Warren -- a straight-shooting, no-holds-barred critic of both the financial industry and the federal government -- might be too controversial to win Senate confirmation if she is eventually chosen by the President to lead it.
