Listen, it's not like California was doing well before Arnold Schwarzenegger was voted in as governor in 2003. Yet thanks to a recall election that only took place due to years of corrupt Democrat reign Arnold Schwarzenegger got the gig and eight years later Cali is in far worse shape than when he started. But here's the thing, as Karl Rove excellently pointed out tonight on "The O'Reilly Factor"--how the hell didn't Democrat operatives (much less the entire national media, Star magazine anyone?) not know about his secret family? Really now:

The woman believed to be Arnold Schwarzenegger’s mistress has been identified as housekeeper Mildred Patricia Baena, TMZ reports.

Baena, 50, worked in the Schwarzenegger/Shriver household for more than 20 years before leaving in January.

But according to a report from Radar Online and Star Magazine, Baena didn't retire from her position, but instead was fired.

Friends of Baena tell Radar that she was "furious" with Schwarzenegger's decision to fire her after "decades of loyal service."

TMZ reports that Baena began to pursue Schwarzenegger in the late 1990s. She reportedly bragged to friends about having unprotected sex with the former California governor during the day, while the family was out. She never stayed the night.

According to TMZ, when she became pregnant, she didn’t tell Schwarzenegger that he was the father of the baby until the boy was a toddler.

She instead listed her then-husband, Rogelio Baena, as the child's father on the birth certificate.

She reportedly had the baby in October of 1997, just a month before Shriver gave birth to Christopher Sargent, now 13.

When Schwarzenegger learned of the child, he was reportedly very “generous” with his support.

The Sarah Palin-Arnold Schwarzenegger clash over climate change pits two Republican stalwarts in a tiff that brings to the fore the divisions within the GOP on environmental policy and global warming.

It all began when the California governor questioned Ms. Palin’s motivation for penning an op-ed article in The Washington Post that questions climate change science based on leaked e-mails from a leading research group. (Read more about the controversy over climate researchers’ hacked e-mails here.)

In her Dec. 9 article, Ms. Palin criticized the Democrats cap-and-trade plan to limit greenhouse-gas emissions as a jobs killer and called on President Obama to boycott the Copenhagen climate talks, reflecting a skeptical view of global warming often seen in conservatives' Tea Party protests.

Mr. Schwarzenegger, a leading proponent of environmental policies to head off climate change, told the Financial Times: "You have to ask: what was she trying to accomplish? Is she really interested in this subject or is she interested in her career and in winning the nomination [for president]?"

The governor then said this to ‘Good Morning America’ Tuesday: "I think there are people that just don't believe in fixing and working on the environment. They don't believe there is such a thing as global warming, they're still living in the Stone Age."

Palin fired back on Facebook: “Why is Governor Schwarzenegger pushing for the same sorts of policies in Copenhagen that have helped drive his state into record deficits and unemployment?”

She was “among the first governors to create a sub-cabinet to deal specifically with climate change,” she said, adding, “While I and all Alaskans witness the impacts of changes in weather patterns firsthand, I have repeatedly said that we can't primarily blame man's activities for those changes. And while I did look for practical responses to those changes, what I didn't do was hamstring Alaska's job creators with burdensome regulations so that I could act "greener than thou" when talking to reporters.”

Palin's view on climate change is certainly not the most skeptical within the GOP. She acknowledges climate change may be a problem but that "we can't say with assurance that man's activities cause weather changes."

It's funny how people act like this woman was never elected governor of a state.

Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger Signs Law For Overrated Gay Pol Harvey Milk

On October 12th, 2009, Governor Schwarzenegger signed into law two historic LGBT rights bills sponsored by Equality California (EQCA) and introduced by Senator Mark Leno (D-San Francisco). The laws were SB 572 – Harvey Milk Day and SB 54 (Marriage Recognition and Family Protection Act.

Governor Schwarzenegger originally vetoed Harvey Milk day when it came to his desk the first time around and gave the reason that not many people outside of San Francisco knew about Harvey Milk. Since the veto, a movie about Harvey Milk was released and won two Oscars: one for Best Actor and another for Best Screenplay. Harvey Milk was also posthumously awarded the Presidential Medal of Freedom award by President Obama last August. It looks like these two major events, in addition to the thousands of phone calls and emails voters gave in support of the bill, have given Governor Schwarzenegger a change of heart. This will be the first time in the nation's history that a state will officially recognize and celebrate the contributions of an openly LGBT person with an annual "day of special significance."

So Harvey Milk, a man of little significance besides being a politician who happened to be gay, gets his own "day". Schwarzeneggger should be ashamed of himself for letting the Left bully him this way. Any wonder his poll numbers suck? But what does he care? When he's done playing governor, he can go make "Terminator 5" or something, meanwhile California will be left with his stench.

The state of California — its deficits ballooning, its lawmakers intransigent and its governor apparently bereft of allies or influence — appears headed off the fiscal rails.

Since the fall, when lawmakers began trying to attack the gaps in the $143 billion budget that their earlier plan had not addressed, the state has fallen into deeper financial straits, with more bad news coming daily from Sacramento. The state, nearly out of cash, has laid off scores of workers and put hundreds more on unpaid furloughs. It has stopped paying counties and issuing income tax refunds and halted thousands of infrastructure projects.

The Schwarzenegger administration sent out notices on Tuesday that 20,000 state jobs were being eliminated. Ten-thousand of those workers would be assigned to new jobs, said Matt David, the communications director Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger, and 10,000 people would be laid off. The notices were sent by United States mail, but the actual process of laying people off takes about six months, Mr. David said.

In addition, the state, citing a lack of money, shut down 276 highway, prison and other infrastructure programs that had been exempted from an earlier halting of projects because of budget problems.

Of course, the immediate reaction from the Left is to pin this mess on the GOP, but as the rest of us recall it was the people of California who recently got together and ousted an inept Democrat governor, that in turn led to the special election of RINO Schwarzenegger. Whatever the case, it's never a good look to be pointing fingers when people are about to lose their jobs. These pols need to come up with some sort of solution to this mess, after all that's what they're elected for.

Three in four likely voters – 74% – support off-shore drilling for oil in U.S. coastal waters and more than half (59%) also favor drilling for oil in the Alaska National Wildlife Refuge, a new Zogby International telephone poll shows.

A majority of likely voters across the political spectrum support off-shore oil drilling, with vast majorities of Republicans (90%) and independents (75%) in favor of drilling for oil off U.S. coastal waters more than half of Democrats (58%) also said they favor off-shore drilling. Republicans (80%) and political independents (57%) are much more likely to favor drilling for oil in ANWR than Democrats (40%). The telephone survey of 1,113 likely voters nationwide was conducted June 12-14, 2008, and carries a margin of error of +/- 3.0 percentage points.

One in four likely voters (25%) said they would be more likely to vote for Sen. John McCain if they knew that as president he would support off-shore drilling in U.S. coastal waters just 4% said McCains support for off-shore drilling would make him less likely to win their vote, while 57% said it made no difference and 15% were unsure.

If you're a liberal or better yet, a mega-rich RINO like Arnold Schwarzenegger, used to commuting back-n-forth in private jets while he plays governor, the effects of high gas pricing on middle America is not too high on your priority list. Good thing Chuck Norris understands the problem and is doing something about it . . . maybe somebody should introduce the martial arts expert to the Gov. Schwarzenegger.

Convicted Murderer and SLA Terrorist, Sara Jane Olson, Walks Free

Sara Jane Olson (aka Kathleen Soliah), former member of the radical Symbionese Liberation Army, was released from prison in Chowchilla, California, yesterday. She avoided police and authorities for nearly a quarter of a century after bombing two Los Angeles police cars in 1975:

LOS ANGELES (AP) — After serving six years in prison for trying to bomb police cars in the 1970s, former Symbionese Liberation Army member Sara Jane Olson has been released on parole and reunited with the family she hid with for years.

Olson, 61, formerly known as Kathleen Soliah, walked out of the Central California Women's Facility in Chowchilla on Monday, state Department of Corrections spokesman Bill Sessa said.

In 2001, Olson pleaded guilty and was sentenced to 14 years in prison for attempting to bomb Los Angeles police cars in 1975 with the SLA, the urban guerrilla group best known for kidnapping newspaper heiress Patricia Hearst. She vanished soon after she was charged and reinvented herself as a Minnesota housewife.

Olson later pleaded guilty to second-degree murder in the 1975 shooting death of a customer during a bank robbery in Carmichael, near Sacramento. She was serving a concurrent, six-year sentence in that case.

Sessa said Thursday that Olson earned time for good behavior and "wasn't treated any differently than anybody else." He declined to discuss terms of her parole, citing security concerns.

Olson should make sure to thank the liberal state of the California penal system, co-signed by Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger, for her early release. Amazing.

Why He's Person of the Week: for keeping his promise and vetoing yet another attempt by liberals to get a gay marriage bill passed in California. The Governor turned down a measure by Assemblyman Mark Leno, D-San Francisco, that would have lifted the state's ban on same-sex marriages. Leno tried the same stunt in 2005 despite the fact that California voters, via Proposition 22, have long made it clear that they don't want same-sex marriage.

Schwarzenegger announced back in February that he would veto this year's version if it reached his desk and said last month that he would keep turning down such bills as long as lawmakers kept sending them to him. “It would be wrong for the people to vote for something and for me to then overturn it,” Schwarzenegger said in September, referring to voters' approval of Proposition 22 in 2000. “So they can send this bill down as many times as they want, I won't do it.”

Proposition 22 was intended to prevent California from recognizing gay marriages performed in other states or countries. Props to Governor Schwarzenegger for doing what's right and keeping his word, something pretty rare for a politician.

Arnold To Terminate Gay Marriage

California Legislature Votes to Approve Gay Marriage. This story appears in today's Washington Post:

SACRAMENTO, Sept. 6 -- The California Assembly voted Tuesday to allow gay and lesbian couples to marry, making the state's legislature the first in the nation to deliberately approve same-sex marriages and handing a political hot potato to an already beleaguered Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger (R).

After a vehement floor debate in which legislators quoted the Pledge of Allegiance and accused each other of abusing moral principles, the state Assembly passed the Religious Freedom and Civil Marriage Protection Act, which recasts the definition of marriage as between "two persons," not between a man and a woman. The state Senate passed the bill last week.

The legislature's move goes further than other states, such as Vermont and Connecticut, which have passed legislation allowing more strictly defined "civil unions." And it differs from Massachusetts, the only state to grant full marriage rights to same-sex couples, because the Massachusetts regulations were passed by order of the state's courts, which ruled that a ban on same-sex marriage was unconstitutional.

Too bad.

Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger is going to VETO the bill.
