Megyn Kelly Rips Newsweek’s Bachmann Cover: Female Pols Either ‘Nuts Or Sluts’
Mediaite.com:
This afternoon, America Live’s Megyn Kelly tackled the mounting controversy surrounding Newsweek’s rather odd choice of picture and headline for its cover profile on GOP presidential hopeful and Minnesota congresswoman Michele Bachmann. Some conservatives, as well as the National Organization of Women (NOW), are speaking out against the cover, calling it sexist and politically biased. Kelly brought on the Daily Caller’s Caroline May to discuss the outcry. When even NOW gets in on the matter and starts defending sexist treatment against a conservative woman you know have a problem. The irony of all this is the lack of outrage towards Tina Brown, the woman who now runs Newsweek.
When, Kelly asked, was the last time anyone has heard of NOW aligning with conservatives?
It’s rare, and when they do do it, they have some sort of caveat to go along with it, but it’s really striking that they went ahead and took Bachmann’s defense this time around. They’ve been having a lot of attacks against her and, I mean I think it’s just the final straw. She’s been, you know, in the spotlight and she’s being hit for it.
May had actually been able to speak with the head of NOW to obtain a clearer view of why the group was denouncing the Newsweek cover:
Terry O’Neill, she said what they look for is Gloria Steinem’s test: If this were done to a man, or if it ever could have been done to a man, then it’s not considered sexist. But because, obviously, this is… She’s labeled a “queen” and put as crazy, it’s more sexist.
Kelly then very succinctly wrapped up the central issue at play in this story into a neat little phrase we’ll personally be borrowing this week:
We’ve talked before on the program about how certain women politicians — it’s not limited to conservative women, but you see that often — get deemed (and pardon the terms, folks) as either “nuts or sluts” when they’re running for office.

Professional Psychiatrist Keith Ablow Confirms That Bill Maher Hates Women
Nice to see a professional verify what conservatives have long known about the misogynist that is Bill Maher:
Today on Fox & Friends, Fox News contributor and professional psychiatrist Keith Ablow gave his assessment of HBO’s Bill Maher based on his recent rant about Bristol Palin. Maher, you’ll recall, went after the younger Palin for a passage in her new book, Not Afraid of Life, where she describes losing her virginity to Levi Johnston, her then-boyfriend and father of her child. During his show, Maher asked Bristol to simply admit that that she was “horny” and shared that “Bristol Palin has to admit that the reason she fucked Levi over and over until a baby fell out is because she liked it.”
Ablow wonders whether Maher’s diatribe stems from an overarching hatred of women.
This guy needs his head examined, so it’s good that you called me in. Bottom line is, here’s a guy… You have to understand, her book is called Not Afraid of Life. Here’s a guy who never saw a life he didn’t question. For euthanasia. For the death penalty. For abortion. This is somebody who’s not affiliated with life at all. No children. So you have to look at him and say, “You know what, why is he so hostile toward women?” He has a deep-seated, it seems, hatred, to some extent, of women. Frequents the Playboy Mansion. All the girls that he dates – the women he dates – they have to be supermodels.
Bottom line is, you really have to wonder: Is he projecting onto her?
Ablow also notes that Maher “is very much divorced” from the “beauty” of birth, as evidenced by his comment about a baby “falling out” of Bristol, and that he seems to want to believe that “all women are sluts,” and so wouldn’t be able to believe that Bristol slept with her boyfriend out of anything other than lust.

Sarah Palin Photographer Breached Contract With Sale To Newsweek

DailyFinance.com:
What on earth was Sarah Palin thinking when she posed in a pair of teeny-tiny gym shorts for a photograph that ended up on the cover of Newsweek -- a cover she has called "sexist"? Perhaps she was thinking that her image would only appear in the magazine she was posing for, Runner's World, and nowhere else, at least not for months and months. If so, she had good reason -- since, as DailyFinance has learned, the photographer who shot the picture violated his contract by reselling them to Newsweek. That photographer, Brian Adams, could not immediately be reached, and his agent, Kelly Price, declined to comment, saying, "I keep all of my clients' business private."Figures that a leftist rag like TIME would attempt to smear Palin by trying to purchase that photo too. I hope the photographer and Newsweek get their asses sued.
But a spokeswoman for Runner's World confirms that Adams's contract contained a clause stipulating that his photos of Palin would be under embargo for a period of one year following publication -- meaning until August 2010. "Runner's World did not provide Newsweek with its cover image," the spokeswoman said. "It was provided to Newsweek by the photographer's stock agency, without Runner's World's knowledge or permission." The spokeswoman declined to say whether Runner's World intends to respond to Adams's breach of contract with legal action.
But while Newsweek's use of the photo violated the embargo, it's not clear to what extent Adams is at fault. A source with knowledge of the situation says multiple outlets, including Time, approached Runner's World after the photos first appeared on its website in July to inquire about obtaining the reuse rights. Those who inquired were forwarded to Adams. Editors at the magazine were aware of negotiations to resell the pictures, and were primarily concerned to see that Runner's World received prominent credit, says the source. In the event, Newsweek credited Runner's World right on its cover. Another source says there is some disagreement over whether the exclusivity clause in Adams's contract is meant to cover all magazines or only titles that compete with Runner's World. Meanwhile, a post on Adams's blog seems to suggest he didn't know about the resale to Newsweek until after Price concluded it.

MSNBC Apologizes For Using Sexist Photoshopped Images Of Sarah Palin
Newsbusters.org:
MSNBC’s Dylan Ratigan apologized on Monday for using photoshopped images of Sarah Palin firing a gun while wearing a bikini. The pictures, which were first brought to light on NewsBusters, appeared during a December 13 segment on the former governor and also included a doctored photo of the Republican in a black mini-skirt.
Ratigan explained, "I want to apologize to Governor Palin and all of our viewers. On Friday, in a very misguided attempt to have some fun in advance of Sarah Palin's upcoming book Going Rogue, our staff mistakenly used some clearly photoshopped images of Ms. Palin without any acknowledgment."
Calling the use of such faked images "unacceptable," Ratigan continued: "We should have never used those photos in the first place and you can rest assured we spent the weekend and Friday afternoon taking measures to make sure it will never happen again. I apologize."

Liberal Air America Attacks Keith Olbermann's Misogyny

NYPost.com:
MSNBC uber-dork Keith Olbermann has done it again. The cable channel's principal pontificator -- in naming syndicated columnist Michelle Malkin "the worst person in the world" on Wednesday night -- blasted her "total mindless, morally bankrupt, knee-jerk, fascistic hatred, without which Michelle Malkin would just be a mashed-up bag of meat with lipstick on it."This isn't the first time that Krazy Keith has been attacked by his own band of ideologists. Even the Kos kids have gotten tired of his act in the past, more recently the leftwing Gawker. Bottom line, Keith Olbermann hates women...well except for Rachel Maddow, because she's a lesbian, therefore no one on the Left can possibly hate her.
AirAmerica.com blogger Megan Carpentier found Olbermann's remarks more than slightly misogynistic, and said, "By attacking Michelle Malkin's politics with an assault on women of every political persuasion, and then indicating a desire to see her physically harmed, a person might understandably get the idea that Keith Olbermann only respects women if they agree with him." Maybe not even then.

Frank Hatley, Victim Of Reverse Sexism, Is Finally Freed

CNN.com:
A Georgia man who spent a year in jail for nonpayment of child support -- despite the fact he has no children -- has been cleared of the debt, his attorney said Tuesday. This story still sickens me. Frank Hatley's treatment by the courts. The deception of the mother. The lack of media attention to this case. All of the above. Here's an honorable man who was doing the right thing in taking care of what he believed was his child. Later on he finds out that all along he was duped and he ends up spending a year in jail anyway?!?Frank Hatley, 50, spent 13 months in jail for being a deadbeat dad before his release last month. A judge ordered him jailed in June 2008 for failing to support his "son" -- a child who DNA tests proved was not fathered by Hatley.
Last week, Cook County Superior Court Judge Dane Perkins signed an order stating, "defendant is no longer responsible for paying any amount of child support." The order permits the state's Office of Child Support Services to close its file on Hatley.
"We're satisfied with the result for Mr. Hatley, but still troubled by the state's monumental lapse of judgment in this case," attorney Sarah Geraghty with the Atlanta-based Southern Center for Human Rights told CNN in a written statement. Hatley did not immediately return a call from CNN Tuesday.
His story dates back to 1986, when Hatley had a relationship with Essie Lee Morrison, who gave birth to a son. According to court documents, Morrison told Hatley the child was his, but the two ended their relationship shortly after the child was born. The couple never married and never lived together, the documents said.
When the child turned 2, Morrison applied for public support for the child. Under Georgia law, the state, can recoup the cost of the assistance from a child's non-custodial parent.
For 13 years, Hatley made payments to the state until learning in 2000 that the boy might not be his. A DNA test that year confirmed the child was not fathered by Hatley, court documents said.
He returned to court and was relieved of any future child support payments, but was ordered to pay more than $16,000 he owed the state before the ruling.
Since 2000, Hatley paid that debt down to about $10,000, Geraghty said. Court documents showed he was jailed for six months in 2006 for falling behind on payments during a period of unemployment, but afterward he resumed making payments, continuing to do so even after he lost another job and became homeless in 2008. But last year he became unable to make the payments and was jailed.
The argument for keeping Hatley liable for the back payments, according to the attorney who represented him in 2000, was that he signed a consent agreement with the Office of Child Support Services.
The court agreed that Hatley had to comply with the consent agreement for the period he believed the child was his son, said attorney Latesha Bradley.
But many, including Cook County Sheriff Johnny Daughtrey, didn't think Hatley's incarceration was fair, given that the child was not his. "I knew the gentleman's plight and didn't know how to help him," Daughtrey told CNN last month. When the Southern Center for Human Rights visited the jail earlier this year, Daughtrey told them about Hatley's case.
Hatley was released from jail last month after Perkins ruled he was indigent and should not be jailed for failing to make the payments.
The mother of this child committed fraud and her ass doesn't locked up. Worse yet, because of the sexist Bradley Amendment, no judge can give Hatley back all the money he spent on a child that wasn't his.
Once again liberal terrorism claims another victim.

More Sarah Palin Sexism By MSNBC Host Donny Deutsch
Donny Deutsch, guest host on MSNBC, makes himself look like an utter fool, once again, with his blatant sexism towards former Alaska governor Sarah Palin. What makes Deutsch look even more like a dunce--forget that the Left's obsession with Palin has no end in sight--is that he actually thinks he's funny. What was he thinking? What makes him actually think that he's funny?
No, Donny. You're a sexist prick who gets away with being one because he works for a leftwing news network. The acceptance of Deutsch's sexism by his female colleagues at MSNBC is even more pathetic.

New Sarah Palin Divorce Rumors: Even Off The Stage Liberals Still Attack

I knew it wouldn't end. Even after her resignation as governor, the loons on the Left just can't past their hatred of all things Palin:
Sarah Palin's spokeswoman is shooting down reports that the former Alaska governor and her husband, Todd, are seeking divorce.
The story, which appeared on the "Alaska Report" Website and several other blogs, cited a National Enquirer story about the "stress" of the couple's marriage leading to her resignation, and claimed that Palin bought land in Montana recently and that "multiple sources in Wasila and Anchorage" had confirmed the news.
After the story made the rounds on Saturday, spokeswoman Meg Stapleton posted a statement on Palin's Facebook page:
Yet again, some so-called journalists have decided to make up a story. There is no truth to the recent "story" (and story is the correct term for this type of fiction) that the Palins are divorcing. The Palins remain married, committed to each other and their family, and have not purchased land in Montana (last week it was reported to be Long Island)."Less than one week ago, Governor Palin asked the media to 'quit making things up,'" Stapleton added. "We appreciate that the more professional journalists decided to question this story before repeating it."
An attorney for Palin denied the report to CBS News:
Sarah Palin's attorney, Thomas Van Flein, told CBS News that the report of a divorce is "categorically false."Palin may issue her own statement later in the day, though the frequent Twitter user has yet to tweet on the topic.

Sexist MSNBC Reduces Sarah Palin To "Hotness"
Failing (and apparently sexist) MSNBC continues its hate for Sarah Palin by making it all about her looks. Of course, conservatives are well aware that Sarah Palin's not only attractive, but she also happens to be a wife, mother, college grad, former sportscaster, mayor and governor. No, their obsession with her has nothing to do with fear.

Man Gets Released After Being Wrongfully Jailed For More Than 1 Year For Back Child Support Bills!
I've been seeing quite a few cases like this of late: men being forced to pay child support for kids that aren't there's. It's another problem with the criminal justice system and an example of reverse sexism if you ask me, as too often courts show empathy for and side with women who more often than not set these men up, knowing full well that they aren't the child's dad. Where all the human rights people are on these matters is another story.

Liberal Media's Sexism Against Sarah Palin Continues

If it were a man or a Democrat (say, er Hillary Clinton, but not John Edwards 'cause, well, yunno) would anyone care about a politician having a $150,000 wardrobe? Of course not:
CNN anchor Campbell Brown led her Election Center program on Wednesday with a critique of the “double standard” concerning the recent attention on the $150,000 that the Republican National Committee spent on vice-presidential candidate Sarah Palin: “My issue: there is an incredible double standard here, and we're ignoring a very simple reality. Women are judged based on their appearance far, far more than men. This is a statement of fact. There has been plenty of talk and plenty written about Sarah Palin’s jackets, her hair, her looks....Compare that to the attention given to Barack Obama’s $1,500 suits or John McCain’s $520 Ferragamo shoes. There is no comparison.”Brown spent more than 2 minutes on the matter, in which she related her own experience of how women “get scrutinized based on appearance” much more than men do: “...I speak from experience here. When I wear a bad outfit on the air, I get viewer e-mail complaining about it, a lot of e-mail, seriously. When Wolf Blitzer wears a not-so-great tie, how much e-mail do you think he gets? My point is, for women, unfortunately, appearance is part of the job. If Wolf or Anderson shows up on the air without makeup, do you think you would even notice? I show up on the air without makeup, trust me, you’ll notice.” The CNN anchor then defended the RNC’s efforts to help Palin appear visually good: “All women in the public eye deal with this issue, and it’s for this reason that I think the RNC should help Palin pay for hair, clothes, and makeup. It is part of the job.” She concluded her commentary by labeling the attention on Palin’s clothing a “peripheral issue” in the presidential campaign.

$15 Million Per Year Katie Couric Plays The Sexism Card

Consistently last in the news ratings war, America's highest paid newsreader is now claiming that she is a victim of sexism and that discrimination based on gender is more prevalent - and tolerated - in US society than racism:
What a narcissist. But then this is Couric's best hope--make herself out to be victim while playing the Hillary Clinton card and blaming sexism for her sagging ratings, not her liberal bias on reporting the news or the fact that she isn't the least bit qualified to report on world issues. Now quick, can you name a black news anchor in this country who gets paid $15 million per year? Of course you can't, because there isn't any."I find myself in the last bastion of male dominance, and realising what Hillary Clinton might have realised not long ago: that sexism in the American society is more common than racism, and certainly more acceptable or forgivable," Miss Couric told the paper as she covered Senator Barack Obama's Middle East tour.
"In any case, I think my post and Hillary's race are important steps in the right direction."
Ms Couric, who in 2006 became the first woman to present a primetime network news broadcast solo, has faced intensive scrutiny not only of her job performance but her outfits and personal life since taking over the CBS Evening News.

Angry Hillary supporters Promise To Vote For John Mccain

Yes, you racist peons, cover up your ignorance and blame Hillary's loss on sexism. Certainly the incompetent Mark Penn or the egotistical Bill Clinton or Hillary's sense of entitlement or her vote for the war or Barack's brilliant campaign or the truth that, many people are just tired of the Clintons had nothing to do with it. So go ahead and vote for John McCain, please do:
Again, when she was by as many as 30% in the polls, the man-haters said nary a word about sexism. Radical feminism continues to oppress women day after day.Amy Siskind, a 42-year-old mother of two from Westchester, stood in a Washington, D.C., park on the last day in May, telling a few hundred cheering people that she would not, under any circumstances, vote for Barack Obama. She was a lifelong Democrat, she said, a donor and a volunteer for the party. But, watching the race with a "mixture of shock, disgrace, and disgust," she was appalled at the leadership's failure to defend Hillary Clinton from the sexism that she believes bolstered Barack Obama's campaign. "Now I have a message for Howard Dean and the DNC," she said into a microphone, acid in her voice. "I'm not your sweetie!"
Siskind was one of the speakers at a rally that brought busloads of people, overwhelmingly women, to demonstrate near the Democratic National Committee (DNC) meeting that would decide the status of the Florida and Michigan delegations. The states had been stripped of their delegates--a decision Clinton endorsed--because they had broken party rules in holding their primaries early. But, as Clinton lost steam, seating them in full became crucial to her argument for the nomination, and thus, to her supporters, a matter of high democratic principle. Oaths to oppose Obama proliferated, often among longtime female fund-raisers. "You have betrayed us, our children, and our future," Siskind proclaimed during her speech, "and you will learn the new meaning of stay-at-home moms!"
Hillary Clinton has lost the nomination, but some of her most ardent female backers seem unwilling to accept it. A strange narrative has developed, abetted by Clinton and some of the mainstream feminist organizations. In it, the will of the voters was thwarted by chauvinistic party leaders in concert with a servile media, and Obama's victory represents a repeat of George W. Bush's in 2000. It's a story in which Obama becomes every arrogant young man who has ever edged out a more deserving middle-aged woman, and Clinton, hanging on until the bitter end, is not a spoiler but a feminist martyr.

Racist Geraldine Ferraro Won't be Voting For Barack Obama

The longtime Democrat icon demonstrates again the reason why she's a racist:
By exploiting the sexism card, Ferraro is playing to the only form of oppression that matters to liberal, white female elitists as we’ve seen this type of racial ignorance before on the campaign trail from the likes of feminist champion Gloria Steinem. To idiots like Geraldine Ferraro what’s good for the party, coming together in unison for the nominee, takes a backseat when that nominee is a black man—mind you, Ferraro has TWICE made the claim that Black presidential candidates only appeal to voters because of their race. That, and the fact that Ferraro herself had no problem being selected on a Presidential ticket as VP solely because she was a woman, speaks to Ferraro’s double-standard as well as her racial ignorance. Yet by going public with her utter stupidity Ferraro does speak for a percentage of white feminists who will also not vote for Barack Obama because he’s black. It's the darkest side of the liberal wing within the Democrat party that the "progressives" don't like to talk about, too bad for Barack Obama it could cost him the Presidency.Ferraro, a Hillary Clinton supporter, praised her candidate and chastised Obama in an interview published in today's New York Times.
"I think Obama was terribly sexist," Ferraro told the Times, adding that she might not vote for the likely Democratic nominee in the fall. But Ferraro offered praise for Clinton, telling the Times that Clinton had "raised this whole woman candidate thing to a whole different level than when I ran."
