Godless Pro-Choice Protesters Shout "Hail Satan!" At Abortion Rally

As Barack Obama and the rich, Godless, white liberals who control his social agenda become more and more powerful, their true goal of destroying and making a mockery of all tenets of Christianity becomes more and more transparent:

Tensions in Texas ratcheted a bit higher Tuesday as activists on both sides of the abortion issue squared off at the  Capitol in Austin for a somewhat odd religious-themed shout-down.

Gov. Rick Perry has called for a second special session to pass an abortion law that would prohibit the procedure past the 20th week of pregnancy.

Pro-choice protesters shouted, “Hail Satan!” as an attempt to drown out pro-lifers’ rendition of “Amazing Grace.”

A Texas blogger, Adam Cahm, captured the scene on video: “It’s been a very interesting day at the Texas State Capitol. … LetTexasSpeak has been doing a live broadcast from the rotunda where women have been sharing their abortion related testimonies. The pro-abortion crowd has responded with repeated chants of ‘hail Satan.’ It’s taken us all day to get a video recording,” The Blaze reported.

Rick Perry Drops Out, Endorses Gingrich

Texas Gov. Rick Perry suspended his struggling presidential campaign Thursday and threw his support to Newt Gingrich, a development that could alter the dynamics of the Republican race just two days before the tightening South Carolina primary.


"I believe Newt is a conservative visionary who can transform our country. We've had our differences, which campaigns will inevitably have, and Newt is not perfect, but who among us is?" Perry said at a press conference in Charleston, South Carolina.


Perry said "there is no viable path forward for me in this 2012 campaign."


"I have no question that Newt Gingrich has the heart of a conservative reformer, the ability to rally and captivate the conservative movement. The courage to tell those Washington interests to take a hike if that's what's in the best interest of our country," Perry said.


Shortly after Perry's speech, the former House speaker said he was "honored and very humbled to have Perry's endorsement.


"He understands exactly the mission of defending and expanding freedom and he understands that every citizen has different ways to participate," Gingrich said at a press conference in Beaufort, South Carolina.


Perry made the final decision Wednesday night and spoke with Gingrich on the phone shortly before he held the press conference Thursday morning, one source close to the Perry campaign said.


"He believes we need a conservative for president and Mitt Romney is not conservative," the source said.

Yeah, this was bad. And what's even more ironic about Perry many flubs during these debate is the fact that the person he's often most compared to, ex-President George W. Bush, knew how to stick to talking points and charm viewers during debates way better than people ever gave him credit for. You don't have to be a brilliant speaker to win debates, you just have to make sure the people watching feel you're more credible and sincere than the other guy and that's how Bush beat Gore and later on Kerry, even though on the surface each one were "smarter" than Bush was. If Perry still has a shot after this debacle he should go back and study the Bush debates:

Rick Perry has become famous for his poor debate performances, which contributed largely to his fall from the top of the GOP polls, but he has topped himself tonight. With a good head of steam going answering a question from Caterpillar CEO Douglas R. Oberhelman, Perry ground to a halt as he tried to explain the three government agencies he would eliminate. “Let me tell you, it’s three agencies that are gone when I get there. Commerce, Education, and the um, what’s the third one there?”


Mitt Romney tried to help, offering “EPA?”


That wasn’t it, according to Perry. Given another chance to list them by moderator John Harwood, Perry tried again.


“The third agency I would do away with…the…ahh…Education…ahh…Commerce, and, let’s see,” looking down at his podium, “I can’t, the third one. I can’t. Sorry. Oops.”


A few minutes later, Perry did recall the lucky third agency: The Department of Energy. Yeah, how’s the Governor of Texas supposed to remember that one?


It was painful to watch. Maybe Perry ought to consult with Sarah Palin before the next debate, if he’s still in the race after this.

Rachel Maddow LIES Again: PolitiFact Whacks Her Again, This Time on Rick Perry Tax Plan

Rachel Maddow's "devotion" to the facts "borders on obsessive" proclaimed an MSNBC promo last winter that could have been produced by The Onion.


A dubious Maddow claim that didn't quite reach that level of obsession has caught the attention of PolitiFact Texas, part of a fact-checking project that originated with the St. Petersburg Times and won the Pulitzer Prize in 2009.


On her show Oct. 25, Maddow said this about Texas Gov. Rick Perry's newly-released tax plan --


So, tanking Rick Perry has now come up with his own version of a flat tax that accomplishes the same goal of huge tax cuts for rich people and big tax hikes for everyone else.


PolitiFact's W. Gardner Selby, a veteran reporter who began covering politics in Texas nearly 30 years ago, wrote yesterday why he rated Maddow's claim "mostly false" on the PolitiFact "Truth-O-Meter" that ranges from "True" to "Pants on Fire."


His thorough evaluation included responses from Maddow spokeswoman Lauren Skowronski, criticism of the Perry plan from a Treasury official in President George H.W. Bush's administration, a "preliminary look" at the plan from an expert at the Tax Policy Center, followed by Selby citing from a more detailed analysis by the center.


In conclusion, Selby wrote --


Nearly all of the nation's wealthiest residents would see tax cuts if Perry's plan became law, in keeping with Maddow's claim. Will they be huge? That's an eye-of-the-beholder question, but some could be sizable by any definition.


Some other Americans -- including 45 percent of residents earning $19,343 to $39,862 -- also would see tax cuts, a projection suggesting that does not support the claim that the plan means big tax increases for everyone but the wealthy. Perry's plan allows every taxpayer to continue under the current system. No one would pay more unless he or she chooses the flat tax against their financial self-interest.


Maddow's statement, leaving the incorrect impression that Perry's tax plan hugely benefits the rich while everyone else pays more, rates Mostly False.


Back in February, in the middle of a contentious battle over public-sector unions in Wisconsin, PolitiFact took Maddow to task for her flat-out false claim that Wisconsin was on track for a budget surplus.


This marks the 15th time that Maddow's claims have crossed PolitiFact's radar. Of these, four were rated false, three as mostly false, three as half true, four as mostly true and one as true. None were deemed deserving of the lowly "pants-on-fire" designation.

Somebody should alert Maddow's No. 1 fan, Stanley Crouch, about this because this is getting ridiculous.

Texas governor Rick Perry‘s performance at Thursday night’s Fox News/Google debate have many conservatives second-guessing their initial enthusiasm for the candidate– particularly his stances on immigration. It was not his ideas, but his delivery that concerned Mike Huckabee this morning on his regular Fox & Friends appearance, arguing that his apparent exhaustion proved Perry “is not prepared for the pressure of the presidential stage.”


To Huckabee, Perry “looked dumbfounded” at the immigration question, which was particularly faulty given that it was a question Perry should have seen coming. The delivery and preparation, as well as the general exhaustion, led Huckabee to argue that Perry “is not prepared for the pressure of the presidential stage,” something “not atypical in a presidential election.” But beyond the exhaustion and the fact that he defied the Republican base, to Huckabee it was the argument he used to get to them that hurt him the most.


“He could’ve answered that in a way that would’ve diffused it,” he noted. Huckabee didn’t go on the attack on the issue itself, however, but explained that it was the answer that dismayed him. Instead of going for the “you don’t have a heart line,” Huckabee recommended, he could have pointed out that many illegal immigrants “pay taxes every time they buy something,” and that “we’re not talking about people who just showed up to go to college,” but children already educated in the Texas school system. With all that said, Huckabee concluded by arguing that whether or not Perry succeeded in rehabilitating himself from this attack, the idea that the Republican nomination is a “two-man race” is one that he “highly resented,” not the least due to the fact that he himself had beaten Mitt Romney at the 2008 Iowa caucus and experienced the resistance to a third contender first-hand.

Rick Perry's Friendship With Cancer Patient Was Reason He Wanted Young Girls Vaccinated Against HPV

Well, this bit of news just makes Michele Bachmann look pretty stupid, now doesn't it:

She was 31, and her last wish was to save girls from cervical cancer.


Now, four years after her death, Heather Burcham is making headlines and saving lives again - this time, in the middle of Gov. Rick Perry’s Republican presidential campaign.


When Perry was dogged by opponents and reporters last week about his short-lived 2007 order requiring girls to be vaccinated against HPV, he never mentioned Heather.


But in her last months of life, long after legislative pressure had forced him to rescind the order, he phoned and visited her in Houston, even taking the 80-pound terminal cancer patient for a play day at a friend’s ranch.


Houston developer Craig Wilson, who first hired Burcham as a nanny and came to love her as a family friend, said Perry proved that he meant to save lives, not get publicity.


"He could have brought up this weepy story about Heather and made it a big heart-tugging story," Wilson said Friday.


"He didn’t, because he didn’t befriend her for publicity. He did it because he’s a real human being."


The story of Perry’s friendship with Burcham was retold Thursday by her former co-workers at ABC affiliate KTRK-TV in Houston, including snapshots of Perry taking Burcham for a motorcycle ride and visiting her bedside.


"I like to think Heather’s up in heaven, stirring the pot," Wilson said.


"She wants us all to remember that if this shot had been available when she was 11 or 12, she might not be dead."


He criticized Michele Bachmann’s complaints about the vaccine and maker Merck & Co.’s campaign contributions.


"She boxed herself into that ’all vaccines are evil’ camp," Wilson said. "And saying he did it for the money _ look, there was no reason for the governor to be so kind to Heather. He was trying to do good."

Rick Perry: Global Warming Based On Scientists Manipulating Data

Finally a presidential candidate with the guts to say what most conservatives know to be true:

GOP presidential candidate Rick Perry told New Hampshire voters Wednesday that he does not believe in manmade global warming, calling it a scientific theory that has not been proven.


"I think we're seeing almost weekly, or even daily, scientists that are coming forward and questioning the original idea that manmade global warming is what is causing the climate to change," the Texas governor said on the first stop of a two-day trip to the first-in-the-nation primary state.


He said some want billions or trillions of taxpayer dollars spent to address the issue, but he added: "I don't think from my perspective that I want to be engaged in spending that much money on still a scientific theory that has not been proven and from my perspective is more and more being put into question."


His comments came at a packed breakfast meeting with local business leaders in a region known for its strong environmental policies. And he made his global warming comment in response to a question by an audience member who cited evidence from the National Academy of Sciences.

Texas Gov. Rick Perry is running for president, a spokesman confirmed Thursday, a move certain to shake up the race for the Republican nomination much to the delight of conservatives looking for a candidate to embrace.


Perry spokesman Mark Miner said the governor would make his intentions known on Saturday while visiting the crucial early primary states of South Carolina and New Hampshire just as most of his presidential rivals compete in a test vote in another key state, Iowa.


Official word of Perry's entrance into the race came just hours before eight candidates, including Republican front-runner Mitt Romney, were to appear on stage during a nationally televised debate.


On Sunday, Perry will speak at a Republican fundraiser in Iowa for the Black Hawk County Republicans, his campaign confirmed to the CBS News earlier this week. His decision to travel to the crucial first-in-the-nation voting state signals that he plans to compete aggressively there for the Republican presidential nomination.


Perry's entry into the race is sure to draw attention away from the Iowa straw poll in Ames on Saturday, which traditionally has a significant impact on the Republican presidential race. Perry is not on the straw poll ballot.

In a state that once was its own nation, a Republican governor who talked about secession without completely dismissing the idea has Democratic lawmakers in an uproar.

Gov. Rick Perry, in comments following an anti-tax "tea party" Wednesday, never did advocate Texas breaking away from the United States but suggested that Texans might at some point get so fed up they would want to leave the union. That was enough to feed opinions for and against secession on Web sites, cable TV and talk radio across the nation.

At the Texas Capitol on Thursday, Rep. Jim Dunnam of Waco, joined by several fellow Texas House Democrats, said some people associate talk of secession with racial division and the Civil War and that Perry should disavow any notion of seceding.

"Talk of secession is an attack on our country. It can be nothing else. It is the ultimate anti-American statement," Dunnam said at a news conference.

State Sen. Rodney Ellis, a Houston Democrat, said that by not rejecting the possibility of secession out of hand, Perry "is taking a step down a very dangerous and divisive path encouraged by the fringe of Texas politics."

The Democrats are proposing a House resolution expressing "complete and total disagreement with any fringe element advocating the 'secession' of Texas or any other state from our one and indivisible Union."

Perry emphasized Thursday that he is not advocating secession but understands why Americans may have those feelings because of frustration with Washington, D.C. He said it's fine to express the thought. He offered no apology and did not back away from his earlier comments.

Higher taxes. A liberal President who keeps going back on his word. Pork-drenched stimulus plans. Policies that open the door to a socialist state. Gee, would any American be upset with any of that?
