6-Year-Old Boy Suspended From School For Kissing Student on the Cheek

Only in Obama's very, liberal, PC-Obsessed America:

Theirs was a forbidden love.

A 6-year-old Don Juan has been suspended from school in Colorado for kissing a classmate on the cheek because his principal considered it sexual harassment.

Hunter Yelton, of Canon City, gave his “girlfriend” a peck on the cheek at school, leading to his suspension from school on Monday, KRDO in Colorado reported.

"It was during class yeah. We were doing reading group and I leaned over and kissed her,” Hunter told the news station.

“They sent me to the office, fair and square. I did something wrong and I feel sorry.”

But Hunter’s mom, Jennifer Saunders, said the school’s decision to suspend Hunter for a day was an outrageous overreaction and that her son and the girl are “boyfriend and girlfriend.

“This is taking it to an extreme that doesn't need to be met with a 6-year-old,”she told KRDO. “Now my son is asking questions… what is sex mommy? That should not ever be said, ‘sex.’ Not in a sentence with a 6-year -old.”

FDNY Refuses to Fire Female Firefighter Who Failed Fitness Test 5 Times

On May 17, 285 people graduated from the FDNY's Randall's Island training academy. Of those, 284 were capable of running a mile and a half in 12 minutes. Wendy Tapia, one of the five females to graduate from the academy, was not. 

The graduating class was billed as the "most diverse" class ever, according to the New York Post.

Despite being given an unprecedented five chances to run a mile and a half in under 12 minutes and failing each time, Tapia is still employed by the FDNY thanks to an organized effort by United Women Firefighters. The group reportedly intervened to protest her firing. 

Normally, a person who fails any portion of the fitness test is not allowed to graduate from the training academy and is forced to repeat the course the following year. Tapia claimed that a "foot injury" was the reason why she was unable to pass the test, and was placed on medical leave to recover. Following her return from medical leave, she began doing "light duty" at the FDNY headquarters. She has not yet actually worked at the firehouse she was assigned to following graduation. 

Tapia's colleagues, both male and female, are furious with how the FDNY has continued to coddle her despite being unable to complete required tests.

“We have to do our job in all types of situations,” she said. “If I go to a fire, what am going to do — tell the guys I’m staying out by the ­engine because I’m not feeling so good? It’s 100 percent unheard of.”

She said FDNY brass, under pressure from a court order to hire more minorities, “want their numbers — that’s all it is.”

But that does female firefighters no favors, she added.

“It’s making us look bad. It’s undermining ­everything we’ve strived for and achieved of our own accord,” she said.

Tapia's female colleague makes a good point. The job of a firefighter is to put out fires and to rescue people trapped in them. I am fairly certain that nobody being rescued from a fire has stopped to question the race, gender, or ethnicity of the fireman doing the rescuing. The FDNY's treatment of Tapia is unacceptable, and it is pretty clear that she's run out of chances to pass the test.

CNN’s Don Lemon on ‘Stop and Frisk’: ‘Would You Rather Be Politically Correct or Safe and Alive?’

During his radio commentary on Tuesday, CNN anchor Don Lemon partially defended the controversial NYPD policy of “stop-and-frisk,” asking its critics whether they’d rather put “political correctness” above safety.

Lemon branded today’s New York mayoral election as “one of the most important races in the world” because it could mean the elimination of the controversial police procedure. He added that the policy should normally be called “stop-question-and-frisk,” but the “question” part often gets left out.

“[I]f you question many people in New York City, even some black and Hispanic people,” Lemon claimed, “they will tell you that on the surface they don’t really have an issue with stop-question-and-frisk. Not the idea of it, at least. Not if the controversial policy was conducted like the occasional, random airport screening.”

Lemon noted that minorities want to believe that officers would stop someone and “politiely” say, “Sir, I’m sorry, but I need to check your bag and your person,” but, he lamented, “they know that that’s not the reality of things on the street.”

“They know that in reality they will probably be ordered to put their hands up, spread their legs, or lay on the ground and be handcuffed while an officer or officers have their ways with them,” the CNN host said, “touching them wherever they’d like or handling them however they’d like.”

Lemon asserted that there are many among the minority community who believe “in theory” that “we’d rather be inconvenienced by being stopped by police than shot by gun-wielding criminals on the street.” However, he said, it’s become too easy for police to become “so drunk with power that they abuse it.”

“So goes New York City, so goes the rest of the country,” he said of stop-and-frisk, adding his suggestion that if a new mayor “alters the equation of the formula that has reduced crime in New York City to its lowest in decades,” it could result in the “creeping back up” of crime rates, the reduction in tourism, and the suffering of “international consequences.” He posited that other major cities could follow suit.

“Whatever the mayor here decides will be reflected in your city, reflected in your crime rate, and in your economy,” Lemon concluded. “So the question is: would you rather be politically correct or safe and alive? That’s the real issue facing the citizens of New York and, pretty soon, ultimately you.”

"Bullying", one of white liberals favorite causes, gets taken to new (and dangerous) depths. I mean, one could certainly make the case for running up the score here, but bullying, really? :

Er, really? The parent of the high-school football player on the losing end of a 91-0 loss has found a way to improve the team amplify the whining — by accusing the winning team of bullying them. Isn’t that what a ground-acquisition game like football is supposed to be about? 

“My son plays for western hills football team on friday night we all witnessed bullying firsthand, it is not a pretty sight. Picking up my son from the field house after the game and taking him home was tough, I did not know what to say on the ride home to explain the behavior of the aledo coach for not easing up when the game was in hand. After thinking about my ride home, I thought how tough it must have been for the parents of the aledo football players to explain what happened o their sons on the ride home. During the game the aledo players showed respect to my son and I thank them for their good sportsmanship. I wish the aledo players good luck this season and hope they have a successful school year.I wish their parents don’t have to explain this ride home again.”

Besides, all the complaint will amplify is the losing team’s sense of humiliation. The opposing coach told the local CBS affiliate that he did his best to keep the scoring down in the second half, which strongly suggests that the losers couldn’t even stack up to the benchwarmers:

Buchanan said by halftime, when his team was up 56 points, he began actively trying to keep the score down, subbing in backup players, letting the clock run continuously, and instructing players to make fair catch calls.
“You don’t want to embarrass… I’ve been on the other side of those scores. In 2011, Lake Travis scored 62 points on us. That doesn’t feel good. It doesn’t make the kids feel good,” said Buchanan.

Don’t ask questions to which you don’t want to hear the answers ….

All conservative sports fans and anyone else paying attention to the noise being made about the Washington Redskins changing their name, because it's supposedly denigrating to Native Americans, is that 80% of people polled do not agree that the Redskins should ever change their name and that the people applying pressure to owner Daniel Snyder to change his team's moniker are almost all Godless, white, liberals suffering from major white guilt, a PC complex and major ego issues:

Every week during halftime of Sunday Night Football, Bob Costas gets to recite a personal essay about whatever hot topic strikes his fancy. This Sunday he chose the Redskins name, and spent a few minutes offering his commentary on the subject. Here is his statement in full.

With Washington playing Dallas here tonight, it seems like an appropriate time to acknowledge the ongoing controversy about the name, “Redskins.” Let’s start here: there’s no reason to believe that owner Daniel Snyder, or any official or player from his team, harbors animus towards Native Americans, or chooses to disrespect them. This is undoubtedly also true of the vast majority of those who don’t think twice about the longstanding moniker. And in fact, as best could be determined, even a majority of Native Americans say they are not offended.

But, having stipulated that, there’s still a distinction to be made. Objections to names like Braves, Chiefs, Warriors and the like, strike many of us as political correctness run amok. These nicknames honor, rather than demean. They’re pretty much the same as Vikings, Patriots, or even Cowboys. And names like Blackhawks, Seminoles and Chippewas, while potentially problematic, can still be okay provided the symbols are appropriately respectful. Which is where the Cleveland Indians, with the combination of their name and Chief Wahoo logo, have sometimes run into trouble.

A number of teams, mostly in the college ranks, have changed their names in response to objections. The Stanford Cardinal and the Dartmouth Big Green were each once the Indians. The St. Johns Redmen are now the Red Storm. And the Miami of Ohio Redskins, that’s right Redskins, are now the RedHawks. Still, the NFL franchise that represents the nation’s capital, has maintained its name.

But think for a moment about the term “Redskins,” and how it truly differs from all the others. Ask yourself what the equivalent would be if directed towards African Americans, Hispanics, Asians or any other ethnic group. When considered that way, “Redskins” can’t possibly honor a heritage or noble character trait, nor can it possibly be considered a neutral term. It’s an insult, a slur, no matter how benign the present day intent.

It’s fair to say that for a long time now, and certainly in 2013, no offense has been intended. But if you take a step back, isn’t it clear to see how offense might legitimately be taken?

The American Civil Liberties Union instructed Tennessee superintendents to end prayer before public high school football games in order to protect “religious freedom for all your students, including your athletes, and their families who attend the games.” 

More than 130 administrators received a letter from Tennessee ACLU Executive Director Hedy M. Weinberg chiding them for sponsoring prayer at the football games:

“As you know, the First Amendment prohibits government policies and practices“respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof.” Both the First Amendment’s Establishment Clause and the Free Exercise Clause operate to protect the religious liberty and freedom of conscience of all Americans. It is well settled that school faculty, coaches, administrators or invited clergy may not lead students in prayer or conduct a prayer during a school event.”

The ACLU claimed the state may neither promote nor prohibit religious exercise. Instead, it must remain neutral. 

However, the government’s three-pronged Establishment Clause test, created in Lemon v. Kurtzman, seems more anti-religious than neutral. 

As stated in Lee v. Weisman, to pass the test practices must:

“(1) reflect a clearly secular purpose; (2) have a primary effect that neither advances nor inhibits religion; and (3) avoid excessive government entanglement with religion.”

This four-decade-old approval system takes religion completely out of the public square.
Not to worry though, ACLU’s Weinberg is all about preserving freedom:

“Like you, we want to preserve the sanctity of everyone’s religious freedom, including their ability to choose whether and when to pray. Like you, we do not want to see taxpayers, students and parents in your school district ostracized and excluded if they do not wish to participate in unconstitutional, state-endorsed prayer at athletic events.

Fox News’ Megyn Kelly invited two of her favorite female commentators on her show this afternoon to discuss ESPN’s apology for announcer Brent Musburger‘s over-zealous praise of Katherine Webb, Alabama quarterback AJ McCarron‘s beauty contest-winning girlfriend. 

After Musburger spent what some considered to be an inordinate amount of time praising Webb’s beauty on air, the internet exploded with condemnation and ESPN released a statement that read, in part, “we apologize that the commentary in this instance went too far and Brent understands that.”

Kelly began her segment by recapping the details of the story and asking her guests to “raise your hand if you think Brent went too far.” Suffice it to say, no hands were raised. The three women proceeded to lambast the politically correct liberal media for dictating when men can and cannot call women beautiful.

Conservative radio host Monica Crowley exclaimed, “Here’s what’s wrong with a man calling a woman beautiful: Nothing!” She went on to say that if would have been more offensive if Musburger had said nothing.

Columnist Kirsten Powers added “He hardly said anything. He called her lovely and beautiful. People act like he was drooling and saying inappropriate things. To me, this is just Feminism gone awry.” 

Megyn Kelly reiterated that there’s nothing perverse about commenting on a woman’s beauty, asking “didn’t we all admire her? We are not perverted.” 

And Crowley doesn’t think open praise of beauty should be confined to just women. “When I’m watching the NFL and Tom Brady comes on screen, I have some choice words about him. He’s such a hunk!”

Kelly summed up the story by lamenting the fact that ESPN felt pressure to apologize for something that should never have been a story to begin with. Noting that Webb put her beauty on display by competing for and winning the Miss Alabama competition Kelly said, “It’s crazy to me that ESPN felt that he went too far in doing what all the judges at the competition did and millions of Americans did as well. I don’t know a woman who doesn’t like to be told she’s beautiful.” 

For her part, Webb has not sought any sympathy in the aftermath of the remarks, appearing on the Today Show this morning and telling Matt Lauer she was simply “flattered.”

On the heels (but not too closely on the heels) of Monday’s call by GLAAD that CNN analyst Roland Martin be fired for tweets he made during Sunday’s Super Bowl, the network has announced that Martin has been suspended. Martin initially explained the tweets, which GLAAD said encouraged violence against gay people, as tweaking soccer fans, but the network disagrees. In a statement released minutes ago, CNN says “Roland Martin’s tweets were regrettable and offensive. Language that demeans is inconsistent with the values and culture of our organization, and is not tolerated. We have been giving careful consideration to this matter, and Roland will not be appearing on our air for the time being.”


Martin, who spent Sunday evening live-Tweeting the game and several commercials, made a remark about an H&M commercial for David Beckham‘s line of men’s underwear. The ad, for those who missed it, features close-ups of the soccer player clad only in a pair of briefs.


“If a dude at your Super Bowl party is hyped about David Beckham’s H&M underwear ad,” Martin Tweeted, “smack the ish out of him!”


Martin insisted he was taking a jab at soccer fans, not the gay community.


On Monday, Martin published a statement on the matter on his website:


Fam, let me address the issue that some in the LGBT community have raised regarding some of my Super Bowl tweets yesterday.


I made several cracks about soccer as I do all the time. I was not referring to sexuality directly or indirectly regarding the David Beckham ad, and I’m sorry folks took it otherwise.


It was meant to be a deliberately over the top and sarcastic crack about soccer; I do not advocate violence of any kind against anyone gay, or not. As anyone who follows me on Twitter knows, anytime soccer comes up during football season it’s another chance for me to take a playful shot at soccer, nothing more.


At this time, the duration of Martin’s suspension is unknown.

This is too funny. Roland "Race-Baiter King" Martin is now officially a "homophobe" after CNN suspended him today for tweets deemed "offensive" by a high-level group within the Gay Mafia (i.e. GLAAD). Of course, the all-too-delicious irony for conservatives here is that Martin is a notorious race-baiter and Obama apologist who regularly blames any and all criticism towards Barack Obama as being "RACIST!!!" But now Martin's getting his just desserts, being branded a "homophobe" by the morally bankrupt, but powerful, white, gay mafia that rules the Left. The same gay mafia that killed black actor Isaiah Washington's career back in 2007 for using the word "faggot" in an interview and the same gay mafia that will take down any black liberal who dares to step across the line and hurt a gay, white man's feelings. Shame on CNN for caving to a secular group on what really amounts to political-correction nonsense, but Roland "Race-Baiter King" Martin gets no sympathy for now knowing what it feels like to be criticized for something you aren't.

In the meantime, score another victory for the Gay Mafia!

9-Year-Old Boy Suspended For Saying Teacher Was "Cute"

A Gastonia mother says her son was suspended for calling a teacher "cute.”


Chiquita Lockett said her 9-year-old son, Emanyea, spent the last two days at home.


Lockett said the principal of Brookside Elementary called her Wednesday to say the incident was a form of “sexual harassment.”


Emanyea told Eyewitness News a substitute teacher overheard him tell another student a teacher was cute.


Then he was suspended.


"It's not like he went up to the woman and tried to grab her or touch her in a sexual way," Lockett said. "So why would he be suspended for two days?”


A district spokeswoman said she could not go into detail, but said Emanyea was suspended for "inappropriate behavior" after making "inappropriate statements."


The district's Code of Conduct doesn't list "inappropriate behavior," but says "disruption of school" is punishable by five days of out-of-school suspension.

Florida Teacher Opposed to New York Gay Marriage Law Could Lose His Job

Sad, but true, as the power of the gay mafia reveals itself once again:

A former “Teacher of the Year” in Mount Dora, Fla. has been suspended and could lose his job after he voiced his objection to gay marriage on his private Facebook page.


Jerry Buell, a veteran American history teacher at Mount Dora High School, was removed from his teaching duties as school officials in Lake County investigate allegations that what he posted was biased towards homosexuals.


“We took the allegations seriously,” said Chris Patton, a communication officer with Lake County Schools. “All teachers are bound by a code of special ethics (and) this is a code ethics violation investigation.”


Patton said the school system received a complaint on Tuesday about something Buell had written last July when New York legalized same sex unions. On Wednesday, he was temporarily suspended from the classroom and reassigned.


Patton said Buell has taught in the school system for 22 years and has a spotless record. Last year, he was selected as the high school’s “Teacher of the Year.” But now his job is on the line because of what some have called anti-gay and homophobic comments.


Buell told Fox News Radio that he was stunned by the accusations.


“It was my own personal comment on my own personal time on my own personal computer in my own personal house, exercising what I believed as a social studies teacher to be my First Amendment rights,” he said.


The school system declined to comment on the specific Facebook messages that led to their investigation, but Buell provided Fox News Radio with a copy of the two Facebook messages that he said landed him in trouble.


The first was posted on July 25 at 5:43 p.m. as he was eating dinner and watching the evening news.


“I’m watching the news, eating dinner when the story about New York okaying same-sex unions came on and I almost threw up,” he wrote. “And now they showed two guys kissing after their announcement. If they want to call it a union, go ahead. But don’t insult a man and woman’s marriage by throwing it in the same cesspool of whatever. God will not be mocked. When did this sin become acceptable?”


Three minutes later, Buell posted another comment:


“By the way, if one doesn’t like the most recently posted opinion based on biblical principles and God’s laws, then go ahead and unfriend me. I’ll miss you like I miss my kidney stone from 1994. And I will never accept it because God will never accept it. Romans chapter one.”


According to the school system, what Buell wrote on his private account was disturbing. They were especially concerned that gay students at the school might be frightened or intimidated walking into his classroom.


Patton also disputed the notion that Buell’s Facebook account is private.


“He has (more than) 700 friends,” he said. “How private is that – really? Social media can be troubling if you don’t respect it and know that just because you think you are in a private realm – it’s not private.”


Buell’s attorney strongly disagreed and accused the school system of violating his First Amendment rights.


“The school district is being anti-straight, anti-First Amendment and anti-personal liberty,” said Horatio Mihet, an attorney with the Liberty Counsel.


“The idea that public servants have to whole-heartedly endorse homosexual marriage is repugnant to the First Amendment of the U.S. Constitution,”

Pathetic. But then the gay mafia found the perfect whipping boy in picking on a none-too-bright, black comedian who owes his whole career to befriending white liberals. Next week Tracy will announce that he's gay too:

Comedian Tracy Morgan, heart full of love, is continuing to issue public apologies for comments he made during a recent performance in Nashville, including telling his audience that he would kill his son were he ever to come out as gay. Shortly after one of that night’s audience members criticized Morgan’s statements in a Facebook note, Morgan stated that he was not a “hateful person,” and that while his “friends know what is in my heart,” he went “too far” that evening. Later, Morgan performed a 180, coming out in support of same-sex marriage and telling Russell Simmons that he would try to love his hypothetical gay son (Mind you, gay women are simply not a part of this conversation.) “even more” than if he were straight.


Now, Morgan has returned to Nashville to apologize not only to Kevin, the man who posted the original Facebook note and brought mass media attention to Morgan’s rant, but also to other audience members (despite reports that not everyone in attendance that night reacted to his statements with contempt or offense), his friends, his family, and “everyone in every community” whom he may have offended. Morgan likens his change of heart to fellow comedian Richard Pryor’s experience visiting Africa and noting that, although he often used the word “nigger” in his act, he “didn’t see any niggers in Africa” and was thus inspired to change his relationship to that particular word. (Personally, I don’t find the two situations particularly comparable, but that’s a rant for another day. Or for LiveJournal, I guess.)

'Mother,' 'Father' Changing to 'Parent One,' 'Parent Two' on Passport Applications

The words “mother” and “father” will be removed from U.S. passport applications and replaced with gender neutral terminology, the State Department says.


“The words in the old form were ‘mother’ and ‘father,’” said Brenda Sprague, deputy assistant Secretary of State for Passport Services. "They are now ‘parent one’ and ‘parent two.’"


A statement on the State Department website noted: “These improvements are being made to provide a gender neutral description of a child’s parents and in recognition of different types of families.” The statement didn't note if it was for child applications only.


The State Department said the new passport applications, not yet available to the public, will be available online soon.


Sprague said the decision to remove the traditional parenting names was not an act of political correctness.


“We find that with changes in medical science and reproductive technology that we are confronting situations now that we would not have anticipated 10 or 15 years ago,” she said.


Gay rights groups are applauding the decision.


“Changing the term mother and father to the more global term of parent allows many different types of families to be able to go and apply for a passport for their child without feeling like the government doesn’t recognize their family,” said Jennifer Chrisler, executive director of Family Equality Council.


Her organization lobbied the government for several years to remove the words from passport applications.


“Our government needs to recognize that the family structure is changing,” Chrisler said. “The best thing that we can do is support people who are raising kids in loving, stable families.”


But some conservative Christians are outraged over the decision.


“Only in the topsy-turvy world of left-wing political correctness could it be considered an ‘improvement’ for a birth-related document to provide less information about the circumstances of that birth,” Family Research Council president Tony Perkins wrote in a statement to Fox News Radio. “This is clearly designed to advance the causes of same-sex ‘marriage’ and homosexual parenting without statutory authority, and violates the spirit if not the letter of the Defense of Marriage Act.”
