After Losing Advertisers Left Leaning Website Wonkette Deletes Disgusting Trig Palin Post

Time and time again we've witnessed the irrational hate some liberals have for Sarah Palin. That said, when a scumbag website like Wonkette decides to go after her mentally-handicapped child Trig (like many other liberals have in the past) that not has the whole blogosphere outraged, but gets advertisers angry enough to pull their ads, it shows you that yes there still most decency left in America:
Wonkette, the gossipy political blog, has deleted a post mocking Sarah Palin's son Trig, who has Down syndrome, after many of its advertisers announced that they would withdraw their advertisements from the site. However, Wonkette editor Ken Layne still maintains that the true target of the post was the former governor of Alaska, not her son.

"A post on this page satirizing Sarah Palin using her baby as a political prop was very badly done and sounded like the author was mocking the child and not just Sarah Palin/Sarah Palin’s followers," Wonkette said in a note explaining the deletion.

"The writer, Jack Stuef, has apologized for it. And we have decided to remove the post as requested by some people who have nothing to do with Sarah Palin, but who do have an interest in the cause of special needs children. We apologize for the poor comedic judgment."

Before the post was taken down, it had been updated with an apology from Stuef.

During a day of controversy on Twitter and conservative blogs Wednesday, Adweek reached out to Layne for comment. Layne responded by email, CC'ing Slate's David Weigel, who'd written two posts condemning Wonkette. This set off a back-and-forth between Layne and Weigel, conducted in emails to Adweek.

Papa John's, Huggies, and at least seven other companies had announced that they would withdraw their ads from Wonkette.
Yeah, well obviously this was only done because money talk. But the idea that, as the Palin-haters keep telling the world, Sarah Palin uses her kids for "props" is so ass-backwards and stupid when you consider that every politician takes pictures with their families and 2) before John McCain plucked her out of Alaska and put her on the national stage, Palin was already a mayor and a governor, thus proving that she's never needed to use her kids as "props" to get by.
