Octomom Nadya Suleman Poses Nude, Goes On Welfare

Reuters.com:
Will the reasons to send Octomom death threats never end? The latest sting of controversy comes courtesy of the latest Octomom welfare scandal.

Nadya "Octomom" Suleman has applied for and been approved to receive food assistance benefits from the state of California. Her act has drawn the ire of the Internet in the form of mass death threats, the New York Daily News reports.

The mother of 14 (14!) is scheduled to get $2,000 per month in public assistance. The funds will be transferred directly into a debit card and may only be used to buy food.

The death threats came fast and furious after news broke of Suleman's latest activities.

"Die b--h. I'm not working for your f--ing kids," one commenter wrote on TMZ.

You can probably guess the content and form of most of the threats. They usually have the words "die," "I hope you," and various colorful expletives.

Suleman has responded that the anger should be directed towards those abusing public assistance and not her, TMZ reports.

The infamous Octomom says she only intends to receive the benefits for a month or two at the most.

This news is especially shocking (or not) since Suleman has stated publicly that she never wanted to go on public assistance. But she claims she was "becoming totally destitute," which forced her to seek government help.

And for those of you worried about Suleman's spending habits, under California law the single mom's account will be monitored to ensure she only uses her benefits to purchase food. No one wants her to get more in vitro.

Suleman could also face strict punishment if she strays from the spending restrictions.

In California, food stamp fraud can be a misdemeanor or felony depending on whether the benefits received are over $950 a month. Since Suleman is getting $2,000, fraud in her case could be a felony offense and possibly land her up to 3 years in prison, a $5,000 fine, or both.
Liberal California, already burdened by huge debt, rampant liberal terrorism, morally bankrupt Hollyweird and a war on children, now gets to pay for the freak show that is Nadya Suleman and her 14 kids. Only in Obama's America folks.

Media Dismisses George Weber Child Rapist Angle

The brutal death of a radio news personality doesn't here in New York doesn't revoke the media from doing its job, like not focusing on the fact that Goerge Weber lured a 16-year-old boy to his house to have sex right before he died:
A teenager arrested in the stabbing death of a New York City newsman has pleaded not guilty to charges of second-degree murder and weapon possession.

John Katehis is being held without bail. He was arrested in
Middletown, and arraigned Wednesday night in Brooklyn. -Click here to see photos of John Katehis, from his MySpace page (Warning: Some photos may be disturbing)

George Weber was stabbed at least 50 times and his ankles were bound. Police say Katehis claimed he was answering an online ad offering $60 for rough sex.

Katehis' lawyer, Herbert Moses, told reporters that his client was being used by an older man. He says details about their relationship will emerge later.

Weber worked 12 years as an on-air reporter at WABC in New York. He also had worked at stations in California, Denver and Pennsylvania.
The focus of this story everywhere I've read is on the teen and his creepy MySpace page, yet what should get equal treatment here is that this boy was seduced by an older man. Of course, I don't know how this will play out, but from the from the looks of it Katehis' lawyer has a valid case on his hands if he can prove that not did George Weber rape this kid, but he may also have a long history of sexually abusing and assaulting young boys.

Chesley B. Sullenberger: Great American Hero

CNN.com:
Passengers on the US Airways flight that crash-landed into the Hudson River Thursday afternoon praised the actions and courage of the pilot, a safety consultant with 40 years of experience in the aviation industry.

Sources tell CNN that Chesley B. "Sully" Sullenberger was piloting US Airways flight 1549 from New York's LaGuardia airport to Charlotte, North Carolina, when at least one of the plane's engines failed.

Passenger Jeff Kolodjay offered "kudos" to Sullenberger for a landing that minimized damage to the aircraft and its 155 passengers and crew.

"All of a sudden the captain came on and he told us to brace ourselves and probably brace ourselves pretty hard. But he did an amazing job -- kudos to him on that landing," said Kolodjay, who was sitting in seat 22A.

Sullenberger's wife told CNN that she was stunned to hear the news from her husband after it was all over.

"I hadn't been watching the news. I've heard Sully say to people, 'It's rare for an airline pilot to have an incident in their career,' " said Lori Sullenberger of Danville, California.

"When he called me he said, 'There's been an accident.' At first I thought it was something minor, but then he told me the circumstances and my body started shaking and I rushed to get our daughters out of school."

US Airways said all 155 passengers and crew are alive and safely off the plane.

I was at work when a co-worker yelled out that a plane had just "crashed" in the Hudson River, some 20 minutes away from my job. Instantly the office became abuzz as we listened to the radio waiting for news reports with the hope that there wouldn't be too many casualties. As each minute passed word began to come in that passengers were being evacuated. Good. But then the news got so much better some 15 minutes later when we heard that there didn't look to be any fatalities or even serious injuries. Wow! Apparently, the plane hit a flock of geese, taking out both engines and Sullenberger, realizing that he was in dire straits and unable to fly back to the airport, warned his passengers to "brace for impact" before he deftly "ditched" the plane in the Hudson long enough for all the passengers to get out safely. Amazing! Great job too by the first responders who arrived within minutes to escort all the passengers to land.

Actor Lillo Brancato Cleared Of Murder In Cop's Death

Yahoo.com:
Lillo Brancato, who played a bumbling aspiring mobster on "The Sopranos," was cleared Monday of second-degree murder in the shooting death of an off-duty policeman during a drunken, late-night search for drugs.

The jury convicted Brancato of a lesser charge of attempted burglary. He faces a minimum of three years in prison on that count, but the former actor could get credit for time served because he has been behind bars about that long.

Brancato showed no reaction as the verdict was read — his face impassive, his fingers pressed together. His mother, seated a couple rows back in the gallery, began sobbing.

Prosecutors say Brancato and accomplice Steven Armento broke into a basement apartment to steal prescription drugs after a night of drinking at a strip club. Officer Daniel Enchautegui, who lived next door, came out to investigate.

Armento blasted the 28-year-old officer with his .357 Magnum, hitting him in the heart. The dying officer fired back, wounding both men. Armento was convicted earlier this year of first-degree murder and was sentenced to life in prison without parole.

Since it involved a cop and a B-list actor this case has been getting a lot of play here in NYC. Personally I believe that the jury made the right decision. Having followed the case from the get-go, I could never buy into the idea that Brancato, an actor whose never had a history of violence and who had a lot of potential before he fell victim to drugs, had any idea, in his drug-addicted haze, that someone might be killed the night he went out looking for his friend to score some drugs. Brancato's accomplice shot and killed the cop and now he's doing life without the possibility of parole because of it. Enough people have suffered here. Brancato can either choose now to learn from this whole, tragic experience and get his life together or continue down the same dismal path he's been on. If he picks the latter, one can only hope that no one else will suffer from it. Lastly, as a Sopranos fan, I think it's insulting that the media keeps linking Brancato to a show he appeared in like 3 or 4 episodes of, at most.

Body Remains Are Caylee Anthony

This story has fascinated me from the very beginning so yeah, this news is really disturbing:
The remains found in a wooded area last week in Orange County, Florida, are those of Caylee Anthony, authorities confirmed at a news conference Friday.

"It is with regret that I'm here to inform you that the skeletal remains found December 11 are those of the missing toddler," said Dr. Jan Garavaglia, the Orange County medical examiner.

The remains were confirmed to be Caylee's through a DNA match, authorities said.

Garavaglia said the cause of death was homicide, but she could not determine how Caylee was killed.

Casey Anthony, 22, faces charges including first-degree murder in the June disappearance of her daughter. She could face a sentence of life in prison if convicted. Prosecutors said this month that they would not seek the death penalty.

Authorities said they called the jail where Anthony is being held to let her know about the discovery.

Caylee's remains were found last week a half-mile from Casey Anthony's parents' home, in the area where a meter reader first directed police.

At the news conference, Garavaglia said that the remains were completely skeletonized and that no tissue was present. She said there was no trauma to the bones before Caylee's death.

Unibrow Polygamist Woman

Just in case you've been living in a cave of late, some polygamy ranch in Texas recently got raided by the cops:
A judge today ruled in the Texas polygamy case that all 416 children from the Yearning for Zion Ranch must remain in temporary state custody, even as Texas Rangers investigate a possible hoax behind phone calls made last month that prompted a police raid of the sect's compound two weeks ago. "This is the hardest, toughest decision a judge makes any day," state District Judge Barbara Walther said of her ruling to keep the children from the parents who have, in some cases, allegedly abused them.

The judge also ordered the fathers and mothers to undergo DNA testing to establish parental relations. The tests will be performed Monday at a mobile testing lab outside the San Angelo Coliseum, where most of the children are being held (27 teenage boys were sent to a camp for juvenile boys and girls 400 miles away).

Separately, police have identified a Colorado woman as a "person of interest" in regard to telephone calls placed to a crisis center hotline in San Angelo.

In truth, the only reason I'm even posting anything this sick story is because I needed an excuse to display that picture (above) of one of the polygamists wives who was actually on the "Larry King". Damn, talk about somebody in serious need of a makeover--get her some tweezers quick while you're at it.

Former Attorney General Alberto Gonzales Can't Find A Job

Either we really are in a recession or prospective employers just can't get past his utter incompetence as AG. Or perhaps, both:
Former U.S. Attorney General Alberto Gonzales has been having trouble finding a job since he resigned under a cloud, legal professionals said.

One Washington lawyer who did not want his name used said he knew a Gonzales associate had approached his firm.

"I wouldn't say 'rebuffed,'" the lawyer told The New York Times. "I would say 'not taken up.'"

Most of Gonzales' resume would make him a strong candidate for a prestigious job, the newspaper said. He served as counsel to George W. Bush when Bush was the governor of Texas and then when Bush became president, and he was a justice on the Texas Supreme Court before becoming attorney general.

At one point Gonzales appeared to be on track to be named the first Hispanic justice of the U.S. Supreme Court.

However, his testimony before congressional committees investigating the firing of U.S. attorneys -- criticized as evasive and untruthful -- appears to have damaged his professional prospects, the Times said. Since his resignation, his only income has come from a few speaking engagements, for which he is paid $30,000 or more.

The Road To Gommorah: Australian Father And Daughter Have Baby

Another cause for the loons...oops, I mean "progressives": Incest. And that includes father/daughter couples who just want to have sex, fall in love and make babies, all with your "respect and understanding" of course. Because everybody deserves some love, right?

A FATHER and daughter who have revealed they are couple and have a child together had another baby who died a few days after birth from a congenital heart disease, court documents show.

John Earnest Deaves and his daughter Jennifer Anne Deaves are at the centre of an incest scandal in South Australia over their seven-year relationship. The pair revealed their relationship on Channel 9's 60 Minutes program last night, saying they were just asking for some respect and understanding.

In March this year, they were placed on three-year good behaviour bonds after pleading guilty to two counts of incest. District Court sentencing judge Steven Millsteed said the first count of incest was based on an act of sexual intercourse which resulted in the birth of the couple's first child. The second count of incest related to an act of sexual intercourse which resulted in the birth of their second child in May last year.
