White House Party Crashers Did Meet Obama

The more that's coming out of this mess, the funnier it gets:
The controversy over state dinner crashers, Michaele and Tareq Salahi, has prompted the White House to order a "full review" of the incident to find out how the Secret Service allowed such a security breach.

A reality TV hopeful and her husband who crashed a presidential dinner met President Barack Obama in the receiving line, the White House said Friday, as a "deeply concerned and embarrassed" Secret Service acknowledged its officers failed to check whether the couple was on the guest list.

The controversy over state dinner crashers, Michaele and Tareq Salahi, has prompted the White House to order a "full review" of the incident to find out how the Secret Service allowed such a security breach.

The White House said Friday it supported the Secret Service and its employees -- but also demanded answers.

"The White House asked the United States Secret Service to do a full review and they are doing that," White House spokesman Nick Shapiro said. "The United States Secret Service said they made a mistake and they are taking action to identify exactly what happened and they will take the appropriate measures pending the results of their investigation."

Frankly speaking, heads should be rolling over this incident. Regardless of what we conservatives think about Obama, it's a sad state of the Secret Service that two wannabee reality TV stars could get this close to the President. But then too, one can't help but wonder what with all of Barry's late-night talk show appearances, unnecessary bows to foreign heads of state, policy failures (despite a Democrat majority in Congress) and other moves that have lessened his stature as POTUS, just how seriously even those who are paid to take a bullet for him take their job?

I've said numerous times that Barry doesn't come off as "Presidential" and many of his amateur hour moves have proven that. I mean, we're still talking about a man who never ran anything in his life who suddenly out of nowhere became President. Barry should be highly upset that these two party crashers got to shake his hand, but like everything else, he'll probably play it cool, dismiss it as a mistake and move on. Such is the life of an inexperienced, narcissistic, Teleprompter-obsessed President who never wants anyone to see him lose his cool, much less break a sweat. But then Billary did warn us about electing a man to POTUS with such a light paper trail. didn't she?

I know that abortion is the end all, be all for many liberals, but coming from a supposed journalist this sort of "interview" is a joke.

Sarah Palin Sells 700,000 Books In 1st Week

AP:
Sarah Palin appears well on her way to becoming a million-selling author.

"Going Rogue" sold 700,000 copies — a number that includes pre-orders — in its first week of release, according to a publishing official close to the former Alaska governor. The official was not authorized to release the sales figure and asked not to be identified.

Palin's memoir came out Nov. 17 with a first printing of 1.5 million copies. On Friday, publisher HarperCollins announced that the printing would be increased to 2.5 million.

Few nonfiction books have debuted so well. In 2004, Bill Clinton's "My Life" sold more than 900,000 copies in its first week.

No matter how hard they try, she can't be stopped.

Bill O'Reilly Slams 9/11 Terrorist Lawyer Scott Fenstermaker

Another example of the vile creatures we have to deal with on the Left, the kind that lose sleep at night over their sympathy for murderers instead of the families of the innocents who they savagely killed. Terrorists, those who killed more than 3,000 innocent civilians on 9/11, will be allowed to put the U.S. foreign policy on trial thanks to Barack Obama. Somewhere Andrew Shepherd is smiling.

Michelle Malkin: The "Indelible Whiteness" Of MSNBC

Half the time I don't like her, but I
gotta give Malkin many kudos for pointing this bit of hypocrisy out:

MSNBC host Chris Matthews, MSNBC reporter Norah O’Donnell, and MSNBC guest Joan Walsh shamelessly played the race card against Sarah Palin and her book-buying audience last week.

In Michigan, O’Donnell smugly noted that Palin’s fans were “largely white — almost no minorities in this crowd.” Matthews parroted the line, assailing the “white crowd.” Walsh likened the gathering to a “paranoid tea party.” Matthews hammered away at the “monochromatic” scene.

Ahem. Check out the masthead of MSNBC TV, “The Place for Politics.” Wear sunglasses and SPF 30 lotion. You’ll need protection from the blinding white glare:

Take a closer look:

White and white.

White.

White.

Pallid white and pasty white.

Does it get any whiter than this?

Oh, and these are the colors of the gang that sneered at Palin’s “white crowd:”

Self-righteously white x 3!

MSNBC’s p.c. pontificators have some nerve clucking about lack of racial diversity.

GOP To Look Into Email Climate Change Scandal

CNN.com:
An online debate over global warming science has broken out after an unknown hacker broke into the e-mail server at a prominent climate-research center, stole more than a thousand e-mails about global warming and posted them online.

Global warming skeptics are seizing on portions of the messages as evidence that scientists are colluding and warping data to fit the theory of global warming, but researchers say the e-mails are being taken out of context and just show scientists engaged in frank discussion.

The Climate Research Unit at the University of East Anglia, is one of the United Kingdom's leading climate research centers and has been a strong proponent of the position that global warming is real and has human causes. The center confirmed the hack occurred in an e-mail statement to Wired.coml.

"We are aware that information from a server in one area of the university has been made available on public websites," the statement read. "We are extremely concerned that personal information about individuals may have been compromised. Because of the volume of this information we cannot currently confirm what proportion of this material is genuine."

The stolen cache includes more than 1,000 e-mails and more than 3,000 documents, some containing code. They were posted anonymously to an FTP server in Russia. The hacker then posted a link to the 61-MB file on the blog Air Vent.

The GOP wants to investigate the leaked emails:
An e-mail by one of the university's professors, Phil Jones, has been singled out by skeptics as proof that scientists have deliberately misled the public on the issue. In the 1999 e-mail, Jones wrote of using a "trick" to hide an apparent decline in recent global temperatures on a chart being prepared for use by a meteorological organization.

But in a statement posted on the university's website Saturday, Jones said that the e-mail had been "taken completely out of context" and that there had been no misrepresentation of data.
"The word 'trick' was used here colloquially as in a clever thing to do. It is ludicrous to suggest that it refers to anything untoward," Jones said. Skeptics of man-made global warming disagreed, trumpeting the e-mails online. "The Death Blow to Climate Science," one website headlined. Another hailed a "Warmist Conspiracy."

Last week, the leading Republican on the Senate Committee on Environment and Public Works, James M. Inhofe of Oklahoma, declared 2009 "The Year of the Skeptic"; on Saturday, a spokesman for environment committee Republicans, Matt Dempsey, said the e-mails, if authentic, "would have a profound impact on the debate" over the climate bill.
Somewhere Al Gore is cringing.

900 Pound Man (Former Preacher) Dies After 8 Months Stuck In His Recliner Believing God Would Heal Him!

I'm sorry but that wife should be arrested for negligence. You don't let your own husband, suffering from obesity and all kinds of heart problems, sit in a recliner for 8 months straight. No disrespect because I believe in God, but I learned a long time ago that God doesn't help those who don't help themselves.
