New York Times Politicizes Fox News Contributor Books, Moves Them From Best-Sellers List

This couldn't possibly be just a mere coincidence after their Executive Editor has been out and about slamming FOX News, could it? Of course not:

The New York Times upgraded the classification of Mike Huckabee’s new book Friday, one day after Newsmax detailed complaints that the paper was politicizing its best-sellers rankings to the detriment of Fox News contributors.


Huckabee’s new best-seller “Simple Government” will move from the Times’ “Advice, How-To and Miscellaneous” list to its more popular and influential “Non-fiction” best-sellers list, Times spokeswoman Danielle Rhoades Ha tells Newsmax.


“We consider titles on a case-by-case basis, and the decision involves a multiplicity of factors, which in turn can lead to a change in our categorization,” says Ha. “As it happens, ‘Simple Government’ by Mike Huckabee will now appear on the non-fiction list.”


Ha was responding to complaints detailed by Newsmax from political strategist Dick Morris, who accused the Times of manipulating its best-seller list to keep conservative authors connected to Fox News out of the prime categories


The Times list set to be published Sunday, up until yesterday, had Morris’ “Revolt: How to Defeat Obama and Repeal His Socialist Programs,” Huckabee’s “Simple Government,” and Dr. Frank Luntz’s business book “Win” in the “Advice, How-To and Miscellaneous” List.


“What do those authors have in common?” Morris complained. “Just one thing: Huckabee, Morris, and Luntz are all Fox News contributors.”

With the first wave of analysis on the NAACP’s declaration against the Tea Party for allegedly tolerating racism among its members over yesterday, commentators are now trying to sift through the greater political repercussions of the attack. On today’s Factor, Bill O’Reilly had Fox News analyst Dick Morris on to explore what the dispute means for the Democratic Party, and he called it a “stupid” strategy that is “ghettoizing Obama.”

Morris explained that he saw the goal of the strategy, from the position of the Democrats, to rally the party’s minority base, but that it would backfire because it would take away President Obama’s image as a post-racial figure for the NAACP to stand up against the Tea Party. He didn’t quite explain what he meant by “ghettoizing,” or why the trouble he predicted would spread directly to the President, but context clues give a pretty fair approximation. He said of the anti-Tea Party declaration:

“It’s designed to raise the intensity of black and Latino turnout, like Rove was saying, but they forget that the rest of the country is watching. And it’s ghettoizing Obama. They’ve spent two years, three years, making him a post-racial president, and now they’re undoing it all in a couple of hours. It’s stupid.”

Brilliant analogy by Dick Morris considering how much we've seen Barry run away from dealing with race. In fact, the irrelevant NAACP is already backing off its "racist!" talk.

Bill Clinton got impeached for messing with a fat intern. Nixon resigned before he could get impeached because somehow he thought being President made him above the law. According a Joe Sestak, the Obama administration tried to directly influence a political race by bribing him to bail out of a primary. Granted Republicans don't have near enough votes to get rid of Barry, but a move to impeach Obama (on the back of a Democrat congressional candidate's credibility) would certainly make for a huge dent in The One's reelection hopes.
