Angry Black Woman Michelle Obama Says Living In White House Like Living In ‘Really Nice Prison’

Nothing pleases this woman, nothing. It's too bad the voting American public was too dumb and naive to not do Michelle O. a favor and return her angry ass back to civilian life:

Speaking at the African First Ladies Summit this morning in Tanzania, First Lady Michelle Obama described living in the White House as living in a “really nice prison.”

Obama was in the middle of an on-stage conversation with former First Lady Laura Bush, when moderater Cokie Roberts reportedly noted that Martha Washington (wife of first President George Washington) once described the First Lady role as being similar to state imprisonment.

According to The Washington Examiner, Obama found that assessment slightly accurate, joking to Roberts that “there are some prison elements to it, but it’s a really nice prison.”

Bush reportedly then reminded the crowd that First Ladies have their own chef, prompting Obama to admit: “You can’t complain. But there is definitely elements that are confining.”

Former Florida Republican Gov. Jeb Bush is telling President Obama to stop picking on his brother.

Calling the President’s behavior childish, Bush told The New York Times on Wednesday that he’s sick of Obama blaming George W. Bush for weak oversight of the oil industry, in addition to current economic and budgetary turmoil.

“It’s kind of like a kid coming to school saying, ‘The dog ate my homework,’” Bush said of the President. 

“It’s childish. This is what children do until they mature. They don’t accept responsibility.”

Bush then said the President isn’t a 21st-century leader and described him as “Hubert Humphrey on steroids.”

Of course, what's sad here is that brother Jeb does a better job at sticking up for the former President's policies than his own wife and daughter have since he left office.

President Obama benefits from a double-standard in the press compared to her husband, Laura Bush said today — and Michelle Obama has managed to escape the pigeon hole Bush and other first ladies have gotten jammed in.

Asked on “Fox News Sunday” if the press would have been howling over the White House’s reaction to the BP oil spill even louder if it happened on George Bosh’s watch, the ex-First Lady said, “I think that’s right, probably.” And she didn’t think anyone should be surprised. “But you know, it’s just — that’s just how it is.”

It’s not just just President Obama who’s getting a break from the media, she said. Michelle Obama has escaped being stereotyped the way Laura was as “mumsy” staying home baking cookies.

“The press in general typecasts every woman that lives in the White House, the other first ladies, because always our first ladies have been a lot more interesting, a lot more complicated, than their box that they’re sort of put in,” Bush said. 

But not Michelle.

“I think that she’s — and maybe this is just her age, that she’s younger,” Bush said. “But I think she’s been given the benefit of doubt more by the press than former first ladies,” Bush said.

“Certainly, look at the way Barbara Bush — mother, grandmother — was typed as a grandmotherly, you know, type woman, when, in fact, Barbara Bush is as strong as horseradish and people really know that,” she said.

But it’s her husband who ws really the victim of liberal bias.

“I think that, you know, one of the things that happened when George was president was that everything, including the weather, became his fault,” she said. “And it’s just an unrealistic, really, expectation of our president.”

Former first Lady Laura Bush has some harsh words for House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) and Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid (D-Nev.) in her upcoming memoir "Spoken From The Heart."

On Tuesday, ABC's "Good Morning America" logged a report featuring excerpts from the book recently published by the New York Times.

Astonishingly, these included Mrs. Bush criticizing Pelosi and Reid for calling her husband "an incompetent leader " and a "loser...liar" respectively.

"The comments were uncalled for and graceless," GMA's Juju Chang surprisingly quoted the first lady with text on the screen.

"These particular words revealed the petty and parochial nature of some who serve in Congress"

Right on.

No Class Liberal Blog Huffington Post Takes Cheap Shot At Laura Bush

This is the Left at their worse. We all know that there will never be any end to bitter hatred for former President Bush, but for Arianna Huffington's smear blog to take a cheap shot at the former First Lady just shows that how truly unhinged they really are (to think, a quick scan of the comments section finds that many of HuffPo's own readers felt this piece was "uncalled" for). Of course, Arianna Huffington, who still goes around the news cable circuit whining about how supposed 'inciteful rhetoric' coming out of the mouths of conservative pundits, has been called out time and time again on how much of a hypocrite she is. But why should a former conservative woman who married a gay guy to become rich care about any of that when she can continue to exploit the Left's hate to fill her own filthy pockets.

After 8 years the Bush presidency comes to an end today and I'm already missing him. I also have a good feeling that history will be much kinder to him his contemporaries are now (remember that Harry Truman also left office low in the polls, but his stature has improved immensely since). For most conservatives President Bush's legacy is mixed, for liberals the hate continues and will continue till eternity (it's just their way). Me? I'll be forever grateful for keeping me and my family safe, for sticking to his principles and for being an outstanding American citizen that we all can take inspiration from. Sure President Bush made some mistakes along the way, but he never wavered from the fact that any decision he made was made in the best interests of our country. That resolve should serve him well as he leaves the White House.

So with this time I just wanted to say Thank You Mr. President:

Thank You for making sure America would not have another terrorist attack on its soil after 9/11.

Thank You for toppling the treacherous reign of Saddam Hussein and bringing a functional democracy to Iraq.



Thank You for the successful No Child Left Behind act which holds schools and teachers more accountable for our children's education.

Thank You for appointing two superior, conservative judges, John Roberts and Samuel Alito, to the Supreme Court.

Thank You for your taking on and defeating so much of Al Qaeda in Afghanistan to the point that they're largely marginalized.

Thank You for having the fortitude to ignore the naysayers in our own country who preached nothing but hate against you, wished for your downfall, lied about you and cheered your every misstep.

Thank You for your standing on your principles by restricting stem-cell research.

Thank You for 52 straight weeks of job growth.

Thank You for giving more aide to Africa than any President before you, it's estimated that you've saved over 10 million lives with the programs you instituted to fight malaria and AIDS.



Thank You for strengthening our ties globally, with Eastern Asia and India in particular.

Thank You for getting the Taliban out of Afghanistan.

Thank You for championing freedom in Latin America with your Millennium Challenge Account.

Thank You for the support and love you always showed our troops, meeting with grieving families, visiting wounded soldiers.

The Making Over Of Michelle Obama

The New York Times presents the new Michelle Obama. Barack's campaign people obviously wants to stay as far away as possible from the "angry, black woman" image, yunno, that probably wouldn't go over too well with middle America:

Now her husband’s presidential campaign is giving her image a subtle makeover, with a new speech in the works to emphasize her humble roots and a tough new chief of staff. On Wednesday, Mrs. Obama will do a guest turn on “The View,” the daytime talk show on ABC, with an eye toward softening her reputation.

Her problems seemed hard to imagine last fall and winter. Mrs. Obama, a Harvard-trained lawyer, appeared so at ease with the tactile business of campaigning and drew praise for humanizing, often with humor, a husband who could seem elusive.

Then came some rhetorical stumbles. In Madison, Wis., in February, she told voters that hope was sweeping America, adding, “For the first time in my adult lifetime, I am really proud of my country.” Cable news programs replayed those 15 words in an endless loop of outrage.

As much as liberals have jumped all over conservative criticism of Michelle Obama's supposed lack of patriotism, they fail to note that the First Lady herself, Laura Bush, came to her defense earlier this month. Of course, don't expect any members of the loony wing to ever give a Bush any credit for doing something good.

Jenna Bush Is For The Children

If you relied on the words of your liberal press (i.e. everyone in the print and broadcast media besides FOX), you'd think that the Bush Twins were nothing but spoiled, irresponsible, drunken floozies who probably don't like Black people too. Well, thank God for something called the TRUTH which states that they're both college graduates who've done a litany of charity work that's includes teaching impoverished kids around the globe, working for organizations such as UNICEF and assisting AIDS patients. Come to find out today that Jenna and her mom (a former teacher herself) are coming out with a children's book even. Amazing what you can learn when you bother to do your own research instead of believing the lies your leftwing press fabricates on the daily.

Laura Bush and her daughter Jenna will write a children's book about a mischievous boy who likes to do everything but read, HarperCollins Publishers announced this morning. The book, loosely based on both authors' experiences as teachers, will be published in spring 2008 in English and Spanish and will be illustrated by Denise Brunkus, who also illustrated the popular "Junie B., First Grader" series.

The collaboration has no title yet, and the amount of the advance is not being disclosed, Sandee Roston, executive director of publicity said. However, according to a press release from the publisher, the authors' net proceeds and part of the publisher's proceeds will be donated to two teacher programs, Teach for America and The New Teacher Project. In addition, HarperCollins will donate $1,000,000 worth of books for children to schools and public libraries when the picture books is publishment.

Laura Bush taught in Dallas, Houston and Austin public schools after receiving a master's degree in library science from the University of Texas at Austin. Jenna Bush, who graduated from her mother's alma mater in 2004 with a degree in English, taught in Central and South America for UNICEF and has written a nonfiction book for young adults, "Ana's Story: A Journey of Hope," about a 17-year-old single mother who is HIV-positive. That book is due out September 28.
