What an idiot:

In an interview with GQ magazine former Congressman and NYC Mayoral Candidate Anthony Weiner is blaming his pathetic loss last month, where he raked in less than 5 percent of the vote, on the internet.

The “if” is far bigger than Anthony Weiner’s dangerous appetite for sexting, but the failed mayoral candidate says he’d be mayor if it weren’t for the Internet.
“Maybe if the Internet didn’t exist? Like, if I was running in 1955? I’d probably get elected mayor,” Weiner said, wishing it were the era of Robert Wagner Jr. in an interview for GQ magazine’s November issue.

First off, thanks to the internet, Weiner didn't have to run around the streets in a trench coat flashing women, instead he did it from the comfort of his own home surrounded by cats. Second, why GQ would decide to do a profile feature on Anthony Weiner, who is neither GQ material nor a gentleman, is beyond me. Here is their explaination:

In the November GQ, Marshall Sella profiles Anthony Weiner, following him during his campaign for mayor of New York. Weiner opens up about his sexting (“I just didn’t think of it all as a capital offense,” he says. “And I rationalized it. I thought, ‘This person’s my friend. Why would they turn on me?’); going on to admit that he might not “have the greatest connection with the emotional sh*t going on.”
Weiner also discusses the state of his marriage with wife (and Hillary Clinton aide), Huma Abedin, saying he is pained that she’s become known as “the Woman Who Married an Idiot and Stuck with Him.” “More of it rolls off my back,” he tells GQ, “because that’s the way I am constitutionally. [Huma]’s more sensitive. I’m just an empty, soulless vessel, so it doesn’t hurt me as much.”

Stupid Congresswoman Nancy Pelosi Confuses Constitution with Declaration of Independence

Speaking last Wednesday at the Center for American Progress (CAP), Democratic Leader of the House Nancy Pelosi became a little confused at one point, stumbling over her words and flipping through her notes while referencing one of the founding documents of the United States. Rep. Pelosi was recalling an early women's rights convention held in Seneca Falls, New York 165 years ago. 

"And so, it was 165 years ago, 165 years ago. Imagine the courage it took for those women to go to Seneca Falls and do what they did there, to even leave home without their husband’s permission, or father’s, or whoever it was. To go to Seneca Falls, and to paraphrase what our founders said in the Constitution of the United States: they said the truths that are self-evident, that every man and woman, that men and women were created equal and that we must go forward in recognition of that." 

 It is of course the Declaration of Independence and not the Constitution that contains the reference to self-evident truths: 

We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness.

CNBC Anchor Maria Bartiromo Goes Off On Democratic Congressman: ‘Are You Guys Incompetent Or What?’

During an interview last week, CNBC anchor Maria Bartiromo went off on Sen. Ben Cardin (D-MD) over what she perceived to be his frustrating insistence that the Republicans are not offering a “balanced approach” in the ongoing “fiscal cliff” negotiations.

“Are you guys incompetent, or what?” Bartiromo pointedly asked the senator, emphasizing that both his party and the opposing Republicans repeatedly accuse each other of not having a “balanced approach” in negotiation to avoid the so-called “cliff.”

She continued to berate Cardin: “If you can’t do what the American people pay you to do, why don’t you just step aside and put somebody in there who can actually get a deal done?”

Cardin responded that he’d like to get a deal done, but the Republican leadership — namely House Speaker John Boehner (R-OH) — have prevented talks from moving forward. This statement set Bartiromo off:

“So how come you’re not moving forward? What’s the problem? Because the American people are so tired of this, and they are really tired of the lawmakers thinking that the American people are stupid. You can’t keep coming on the show every week saying the same thing: ‘It’s not a balanced approach.’”

At this point, Bartiromo began shaking her head and laughing as Cardin insisted that the Democrats have long been ready to move forward with a deal. Unconvinced and clearly agitated, Bartiromo pointed at the screen and directly confronted Cardin about whether he’d be willing to consider tax code reform as a means to obtaining new revenue.

The senator’s response essentially boiled down to “No,” and so Bartiromo went off on him again: “You’re talking about $1.2 trillion in revenue, but you’re not prepared to put anything on the table. People are not stupid!”

Cardin then replied that “the easiest way to get the revenues is to [raise taxes on] the highest income brackets,” Bartiromo had enough and ended the conversation: “That’s all you want to do. That’s it. It’s your way or the highway. Raise the rates on the rich. No other way. Your way or the highway. That’s it. That’s where we are. Thank you, Senator.”

As soon as the interview ends, the Wall Street trading floor behind Bartiromo erupts into applause, prompting the anchor to blush and hide her face in hands.

Joe Biden Warns of Rapes and Murders If Obama Jobs Bill Isn't Passed

What a stupid, stupid man:

Last week, Vice President Joe Biden warned that more people would likely be raped and murdered if President Obama's jobs bill is not passed. "In 2008, when Flint had 265 sworn officers on their police force, there were 35 murders and 91 rapes in this city," Biden said at an event in Flint, Michigan. "In 2010, when Flint had only 144 police officers, the murder rate climbed to 65 and rapes--just to pick two categories--climbed to 229. In 2011, you now only have 125 shields. God only knows what the numbers will be this year for Flint if we don't rectify it."


Today, Biden reiterated his warning at an event in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.“The other thing I’ve heard from my friends who oppose this – this whole jobs bill and this – that this is just temporary," Biden said. "Well let me tell you, it’s not temporary when that 911 call comes in and a woman’s being raped if a cop shows up in time to prevent the rape, it’s not temporary to that woman. It’s not temporary to the guy whose store is being held up and a gun is being pointed to his head. If a cop shows up and he’s not killed, that’s not temporary to that store owner. Give me a break, temporary! I wish these guys that thought it was temporary, I wish they had some notion what it’s like to be on the other side of a gun or a 200 pound man standing over you telling you to submit. Folks, it matters. It matters!”

Hypocrite DNC Chairwoman Debbie Wasserman Schultz Bashes GOP For Supporting Foreign Car Companies, Owns Foreign Car

What a stupid, stupid, stupid woman, but it's sadder watching how the MSM let's her get away with this stuff:

It’s a general rule of thumb that whenever a politician says something negative about their opposition, they better not be guilty of the same thing, otherwise they would end up looking incredibly foolish.


The latest pol to suffer from this is Democratic National Committee Chairwoman Debbie Wasserman Schultz. Since she began her tenure as head of the DNC, Wasserman Schultz has gone on the offensive against the Republicans. She accused the GOP of “waging war on the unemployed” and slammed their budget proposal as a “path to poverty.” But her latest attack on the opposition backfired in a major way.


Wasserman Schultz appeared at a breakfast for reporters and called out the Republican candidates for president who were very critical of the 2009 auto bailouts:


If it were up to the candidates for president on the Republican side, we would be driving foreign cars; they would have let the auto industry in America go down the tubes.


So we can infer that if Wasserman Schultz had her way, we would not be driving foreign cars. We would be driving automobiles made right here in America!


Well, what an error that would be. Luckily, her garage was on hand to clarify her position.


[A]ccording to Florida motor vehicle records, the Wasserman Schultz household owns a 2010 Infiniti FX35, a Japanese car whose parent company is Nissan, another Japanese company. The car appears to be hers, since its license plate includes her initials.


Obviously, it’s not entirely fair to base her position on domestic car manufacturers by what she drives to work. Her voting record would be a more accurate way of measuring it. However, if you’re going to throw stones, make sure your house is not made of glass first.

Joe Biden Likens GOP Economic Strategy to Blaming Rape Victims

Ratcheting up the rhetoric in the Washington budget battle, Vice President Biden on Friday likened the Republican strategy of seeking to slash federal spending while championing tax breaks for the wealthy to rape victims being blamed for the rape.


At a lavish Philadelphia fundraising luncheon that raised $400,000 for Democratic congressional campaigns, Biden began his attack on Republicans by crediting the 1994 Violence Against Women Act that he and former Pennsylvania Sen. Arlen Specter (who was in attendance) authored for changing society's attitude about blaming rape victims.


"When a woman got raped, blame her because she was wearing a skirt too short, she looked the wrong way or she wasn't home in time to make dinner," he said. "We've gotten by that."


Then Biden turned his focus to the current spending debate in which Democrats and Republicans are fighting over how much to cut from the federal budget.


"But it's amazing how these Republicans, the right wing of this party – whose philosophy threw us into this godawful hole we're in, gave us the tremendous deficit we've inherited – that they're now using the very economic condition they have created to blame the victim – whether it's organized labor or ordinary middle-class working men and women," he said.


"It's bizarre," he added.


The Republican National Committee condemned Biden's remarks.


"Using a rape analogy to describe one's political opponents is inexcusable & beneath the office of the Vice President," RNC Chairman Reince Priebus tweeted.


Biden's comments came on the same day that President Obama signed another stopgap measure to keep the government running for another three weeks. The measure cuts $6 billion in spending – on top of the $4 billion in cuts from a two-week extension passed earlier this month -- and buys the White House and congressional leaders more time to negotiate a larger bill to cover the daily operations of the government through the end of September.

Amazing how much this man's stupidity gets a pass from the press.

In Senate, A Quiet Death For Filibuster 'Reform'

Another dumb idea pushed by the Soros-Left because yunno, there's zero chance there'll ever be another Republican president much less a GOP-run Senate:

Lost in the hubbub over President Obama's State of the Union speech was the quiet death of liberal Democratic hopes to "reform" the Senate filibuster. Those hopes officially expired at 10:20 p.m. Tuesday, as lawmakers prepared the leave the Capitol after the president's speech, when the Senate adjourned for the first time this year.


For months, some Democrats had been working on a plan to use a parliamentary maneuver called the "nuclear option" to put an end to minority Republicans' ability to block Democratic initiatives. Under that scenario, on the first day of its session -- and only on the first day -- the Senate would be able to change its rules regarding filibusters with a simple majority vote. Normally, it takes 67 votes to change the Senate's rules, but on the first day, Democrats believed, they could kill the filibuster with just a 51-vote majority.


Of course, the first day the Senate was in session was January 3. Most people would assume that such first-day changes, even if they were possible, would have to be made on that day. But in the Senate, "first day" can be a flexible term. So when the Senate finished business on January 3, Majority Leader Harry Reid did not adjourn the body, which would have meant the end of the day. Instead, Reid declared the Senate in recess, which meant that it remained, in technical Senate terms, in its "first day" until whenever Reid chose to call an adjournment.


Through January 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12, 13, 14, 15, 16, 17, 18, 19, 20, 21, 22, 23, 24, 25 -- through all those days the Senate was in recess and therefore still officially in its "first day." That meant liberal Democrats could continue to maneuver and negotiate ways to end the filibuster and, if they could find 51 senators willing to go along with their scheme, take a vote on the Senate's "first day."


Furious negotiations went on behind the scenes. The Democrats' anti-filibuster wing, led by Sen. Tom Udall, tried to muster support for the effort to kill, or at least substantially weaken, the filibuster. Udall wasn't, of course, trying to persuade Republicans to go along; all GOP senators opposed the idea. Rather, Udall and his allies were trying -- and, it turns out, failing -- to convince 51 Democrats to put an end to the filibuster. By Tuesday, it was clear they had failed. After the State of the Union, Reid adjourned the Senate, and the 22-day "first day" was over.


The filibuster was untouched; nothing has been done to it. "Literally nothing," says a Republican Hill source.


That doesn't mean there might not be some changes in other areas in coming weeks and months. "We'll have potential to make some changes on secret holds -- a tweak to secret holds, not eliminate them," the source says. "And we're probably going to do something on nominations, reducing the number of positions that require Senate confirmation. But nothing on cloture motions and filibusters."


Why did Democrats give in? Two reasons. One, they know they might soon need the filibuster themselves -- not in a few years, but in a few months. Republicans now have 47 votes in the Senate. If they can peel away four Democrats on any given piece of legislation -- say, the repeal of a portion of Obamacare -- they could be stopped only by a Democratic filibuster. The Democrats who are now denouncing the filibuster when it's used by Republicans might soon be employing it themselves to fend off GOP challenges to Obamacare and other Obama initiatives.


The second reason is that Democrats saw the folly in changing a hallowed Senate rule with just 51 votes. The 2012 elections are coming up; there are far more vulnerable Senate Democrats than Republicans. Two years from today, Republicans might well control the Senate. If Democrats set a precedent for changing the rules now with just 51 votes, what will happen the next time Republicans are in charge? "What do they do if we take the majority?" asks the Hill aide. "What's to stop us from changing the rules with 51 votes?" The answer is nothing, if Democrats crossed that line first.


So cooler heads prevailed among Democrats, and filibuster "reform" is dead -- for now and for the foreseeable future.

Democrat Congresswoman Debbie Wasserman Schultz Uses Daughter To Blame Political Rhetoric For Giffords Shooting

It's uberliberals like Debbie Wasserman Schultz, who put ideology first and the American people second, that are the reason Congress continues to get such low approval ratings:

During a bipartisan panel discussion with members of Congress on Wednesday's CBS Evening News, anchor Katie Couric asked about the role of political rhetoric in the Tucson shooting, to which Florida Democratic Congresswoman Debbie Wasserman Schultz replied: "After my daughter heard...Gabby [Giffords] had been shot, the first thing she asked me was...'Mommy, are you going to get shot?'"


Schultz went on to recall: "...the next thing she said to me was – and this is where you don't realize how closely they're watching – 'But Mommy, Florida's going to pass an immigration law like Arizona and then people are going to be mad at you.'" The Congresswoman concluded: "The civil discourse is very important because it's not just – it's not just adults that – that this permeates. It's our children." Couric did not challenge Schultz's suggestion that the enforcement of stronger immigration laws would cause violence.

Liberal Governor Neil Abercrombie Wants To Reveal Obama Birth Info

Just when the "birther" crap starts to die down this idiot brings it back up. Of course no mention by Abercrombie about the fact that it was Hillary Clinton followers who started the whole "birther" nonsense in the first place:

Democratic Gov. Neil Abercrombie wants to find a way to release more information about President Barack Obama's birth and dispel conspiracy theories that he was born elsewhere.


Abercrombie was a friend of Obama's parents and knew him as a child, and is deeply troubled by the effort to cast doubt on the president's citizenship.


The newly elected Democrat will ask the state attorney general's office and health officials about how he can make public more of Obama's birth documentation from Aug. 4, 1961, spokeswoman Donalyn Dela Cruz said Tuesday.


"He had a friendship with Mr. Obama's parents, and so there is a personal issue at hand," Dela Cruz said. "Is it going to be done immediately? No, the first thing on our list is the economy."


It's unclear what Abercrombie could do because Hawaii's privacy laws have long barred the release of a certified birth certificate to anyone who doesn't have a tangible interest.


Hawaii's health director said last year and in 2008 that she had seen and verified Obama's original vital records, and birth notices in two Honolulu newspapers were published within days of Obama's birth at Kapiolani Maternity and Gynecological Hospital in Honolulu.


So-called "birthers" claim Obama is ineligible to be president because they say there's no proof he was born in the United States, with many of the skeptics questioning whether he was actually born in Kenya, his father's home country.


"What bothers me is that some people who should know better are trying to use this for political reasons," Abercrombie told the Los Angeles Times last week. "Maybe I'm the only one in the country that could look you right in the eye right now and tell you, 'I was here when that baby was born.'"

Harry Reid Compares Obama To Rescued Chilean Miners

Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid has compared President Barack Obama to a trapped Chilean miner. 

In a speech to supporters in Las Vegas on Sunday night, Reid said that when Obama replaced George W. Bush in the White House he found himself in a "hole so deep that he couldn't see the outside world.

"It was like the Chilean miners, but he, being the man he is, rolled up his sleeves and said 'I am going to get us out of this hole,'" Reid said at an "Early Vote GOTV" event.

The man's stupidity holds no bounds.

Obama's Ground Zero Mosque Called "Incoherent", Bill O'Reilly Mocks Obama Too

President Obama's comments on a plan to build an Islamic center in the shadow of ground zero are not only giving opponents an opportunity to attack him but also reveal a messaging problem from the White House, a communications expert said.


"The danger here is an incoherent presidency," said David Morey, vice chairman of the Core Strategy Group, who provided communications advice to Obama's 2008 campaign. "Simpler is better, and rising above these issues and leading by controlling the dialogue is what the presidency is all about. So I think that's the job they have to do more effectively as they have in the past [in the campaign]."


Obama has faced a torrent of criticism for what was called mixed messages on the controversial plan. On Friday, Obama said Muslims "have the same right to practice their religion as anyone else in this country ... That includes the right to build a place of worship and a community center on private property in Lower Manhattan, in accordance with local laws and ordinances."


The following day, Obama told Ed Henry, CNN's senior White House correspondent, that he was "not commenting on the wisdom" of the project, just the broader principle that the government should treat "everyone equal, regardless" of religion. Then a White House spokesman clarified those comments.

Peggy West, Arizona Boycott Supporter, Doesn't Know Arizona Borders Mexico

When going all out in opposition to something, it’s best to always have your facts straight. It’s a lesson that would have well served Wisconsin County Supervisor Peggy West, who has come out strong against the Arizona illegal immigration law claiming that it doesn’t make sense for Arizona to be so agitated about illegal immigration. It’s not Arizona is like “Texas, which is a state that is directly on the border with Mexico.”

West was commenting in support of a boycott of the state. Her main argument was that the law went to extreme measures to combat an issue that, it appears, she didn’t see as too much of a big deal:

“If this were Texas, which is a state that is directly on the border of Mexico, and they were calling for a measure like this, saying that they had a major issue with undocumented people flooding their borders, I would have to look twice at this. But this is a state that is a ways removed from the border, and it doesn’t make sense to me that when you Google this subject– if you put in Arizona SB 1070– that you see a picture of the governor of Arizona meeting with President Obama in May of 2010. If you have direct linkage to the President, there are already National Guard troops in Arizona.”

A fellow attendee of the meeting let West down gently, assuring her “that Arizona does, in fact, share a border with Mexico.”

Peggy West is probably part of the same group of numbnuts who voted The One into POTUS.

Democrat Congressman Hank Johnson Now Says He Was Only "Joking" About Guam 'Tipping Over' Comment

Rep. Hank Johnson, D-Georgia, is clarifying comments he made during a recent House Armed Services Committee hearing in which he suggested that the island of Guam, a U.S. territory, might "tip over and capsize."

While hearing testimony from Navy Admiral Robert F. Willard on March 25, Johnson expressed fear that the Pacific island of Guam might capsize if additional U.S. troops are deployed to a military base on the small island as planned.

"My fear is that the whole island will become so overly populated that it will tip over and capsize," Johnson said.

Admiral Willard replied that the military did not expect the island to tip over.

We can only imagine all the havoc the lib media would be raising if Sarah Palin had made this "joke".

Harry Reid: "Only 36,000 Lost Their Jobs Today"

Not only is he moronically stupid for going there, but 36,000 is actually MORE than what we lost the previous month. This is yet another example of the fine, liberal leadership Americans elected back in '06 and '08.

Since when did being blind make you dumb? When NY Governor David Paterson opens his mouth:

The American Civic Association's president, Angela Leach, was "very upset" and worried about her secretary, a friend at her home told reporters. "For some reason she had the day off today. She doesn't know anything, she's as shocked as anyone," said Mike Chanecka.

Others were left waiting for news of friends and relatives. Omri Yigal, an immigrant from the Philippines, said his wife Delores had been in an English lesson. "At this point, I know the scale of what happened, but I just hope Delores is okay," he said. "I haven't got any information. The only thing I have right now is hope."

The New York State Governor David Paterson said the shooting was "probably the worst crime and tragedy in the history of this city".

Yeah, surely worse than the 3,000-plus who died on Sept. 11, 2001, right Governor? Not that I'm trying to politicize this tragedy like the Left is doing, but Paterson has the kind of foot-in-mouth disease that would make Joe Biden blush and this was just another example of it.

UPDATE: The story linked here was taken from a piece at LATimes.com which noted that Paterson said "history of this state". That original LATimes piece has now been corrected to show that Paterson actually said "city", not "state".

Three Dumb Politicians Discriminate Against Restaurants

I swear, the more I see Republicans acting like liberals, the more exasperated I get with both parties.

Mississippi Republicans W. T. Mayhall, Jr. and John Read joined with Democrat Bobby Shows yesterday to come up with one of the dumbest bills in history. They are proposing a bill that will make it illegal for state-licensed restaurants to serve obese people. That means anybody with a BMI of 30 or above won't be able to eat with everybody else. This is a problem since 30% of the state is considered obese.

The two page document states that any restaurant that breaks the law could get their license pulled.
