5 Ways Liberalism Destroys Virtue

Townhall.com:
The more completely a person, group, or organization embraces liberalism, the less virtuous it becomes. It's almost like a mental sickness in that respect. People or groups who are lightly infected can soldier on without having it eat them alive. However, the deeper the sickness goes, the more it changes them. Eventually the liberal disease inside of people can grow so much that it warps their morals, their religious beliefs, and their way of thinking until they can no longer tell right and wrong. This destruction of virtue is a natural consequence of the fundamental beliefs that go along with liberalism.
5) "When one becomes a liberal, he or she pretends to advocate tolerance, equality and peace, but hilariously, they’re doing so for purely selfish reasons. It’s the human equivalent of a puppy dog’s face: an evolutionary tool designed to enhance survival, reproductive value and status. In short, liberalism is based on one central desire: to look cool in front of others in order to get love. Preaching tolerance makes you look cooler, than saying something like, 'please lower my taxes.’" -- Greg Gutfeld
Doing the right thing is often tough. It's hard to take money you could use yourself and give it to charity. It's difficult to hold to a position that you think is best for the country even though some people will think it's "mean." It takes self-denial to ask that the government spend less today so that future generations will still be able to enjoy the American Dream.
Liberals don't have that sort of moral courage. They advocate giving away other people's money and call it being charitable. They take positions that are terrible for the country because they're afraid of criticism and call it bravery. They're willing to sell future generations of Americans into debt bondage so they can have a little more comfort now and they pat themselves on the back for their compassionate "investments."
Liberals aren't actually charitable, courageous, or compassionate; they just claim to be those things by virtue of the fact that they're liberal. In fact, that's one of the major selling points of liberalism: being able to think of yourself as moral and good without the trials and sacrifice that go along with actually being moral and good.
4) "There are no bad guys on the left. There are only people who’ve been driven to desperation by conservative evil." -- Allahpundit
Liberals begin with the proposition that conservatives are unwitting dupes at best and evil at worst while other liberals are on the side of the angels. This leads them to excuse just about any and every behavior from killing cops (Muhammad Abdul Jamal), to terrorist bombings (Bill Ayers), to treason (Jane Fonda) as long as the perpetrator has the right beliefs and is useful to the movement. When you think that the only real crime is disagreeing with your ideology, you can make a hero out of a drunken, disreputable coward who left a woman to die in a tidal pool or even come up with justifications for why it's fine for the Department of Justice to help Mexican cartels get weapons they used to kill more than 300 people as part of some misguided political stunt to encourage gun control.
3) "Liberals have created, and the minority leadership has exploited, a community of dependent people, unaware of the true route to prosperity and happiness: self-reliance and self-investment. Instead, people are told that America is unjust, unfair, and full of disadvantages. They are told that their only hope is for government to fix their problems. What has happened is that generations of people have bought into this nonsense and as a result have remained hopelessly mired in poverty and despair — because the promised solutions don’t work. And they will never work — they never have." -- Rush Limbaugh
Individuality is a necessary condition of morality. When you embrace tribalism based on race, gender, and sexual orientation as the Left does, you inevitably end up embracing a tribal mentality as well. Everyone in your tribe is on "your side” and other people are viewed as "enemies." Most people don't apply the same ethical standards to their enemies as they do to their tribe. That's why we're fine with sending Predator Drones to kill terrorists in Pakistan, but we would riot in the street if the same policy were put in place to target people accused of murder in New Jersey.

Megyn Kelly Panel Clashes Over Whether Obama Is Taking The Black Vote For Granted

Mediaite.com:
Spurred by President Barack Obama‘s declining an invitation to speak at the NAACP convention (where Mitt Romney, Vice President Joe Biden and Attorney General Eric Holder all speakers), Megyn Kelly invited her panel to discuss concern among some African Americans who wonder if the president is taking their vote for granted.

This is simply the political reality, David Webb argued. Obama ran “by drawing coalitions together,” subsets of the population who essentially got him elected. But “unless they have a defined interest they can use, they’re not that valuable,” Webb said bluntly. To give him credit, he added, Obama didn’t run on a black agenda.

Countering Webb, Tara Dowdell argued that it’s “insulting” to suggest that blacks voted for Obama because they were vested in his color. “To say that we can’t think for ourselves, that we can’ discern policies — that is a very insulting statement to make,” she said.

Kelly circled back to her central question: whether there’s a sense that Obama’s taking the black vote for granted. Webb argued it’s also insulting to look at a how a group has voted historically and ask whether there’s been a return on that investment. “We’re all Americans, we’re not black Americans, white Americans, Hispanic Americans,” he said.

Finally, Kelly asked whether it’s a mistake for Obama not to speak at the convention. Dowdell said it’s not because he does have members of his administration speaking there — before pivoting to unemployment among blacks (defending Obama’s policies), leading the segment to end with their arguing.

Survey: 83% of Doctors Considered Quitting Over Obamacare Read more on Newsmax.com: Survey: 83% of Doctors Considered Quitting Over Obamacare

Newsmax.com:
Eighty-three percent of American physicians have considered leaving the profession over President Barack Obama’s healthcare reform law – and 63 percent have called for repealing all or part of it, according to survey by the Doctor Patient Medical Association.

The results from the non-partisan association of doctors and patients, founded last fall and headquartered in Alexandria, Va., is based on a national survey of 699 physicians, the
Daily Caller reports.

The Affordable Care Act was upheld last month by the U.S. Supreme Court.

By 2020, the U.S. is expected to face a shortage of at least 90,000 doctors. Because the new healthcare law expands insurance coverage, it will increase physician demand.

“Hands-down, doctors blame government involvement for the current problems in medicine, and are not shy to say they want it out,” the association says in a report on the survey findings.

“The reasons cited range from the deluge of regulatory compliance that siphons time away from patient care, to de facto rationing achieved through complex payment schemes, to cushy relationships that favor corporations and special interests in medicine.”

The DPMA found that many doctors just don't believe the legislation will give more Americans quality care, co-founder of the DPMA Kathryn Serkes said.

“Doctors clearly understand what Washington does not — that a piece of paper that says you are ‘covered’ by insurance or ‘enrolled’ in Medicare or Medicaid does not translate to actual medical care when doctors can’t afford to see patients at the lowball payments, and patients have to jump through government and insurance company bureaucratic hoops,” she said

As for Obamacare specifically, the association said: “Doctors say that a key government provision in the Affordable Care Act, the huge expansion of Medicaid enrollees, is likely to backfire, as 49 percent say they will stop accepting Medicaid payments.”

Romney Campaign Ready To Hit Back Against Bain Attacks By Calling Obama a Liar

Conservatives know that Barack Obama was for gay marriage before he was against it before he was for it again. They know too that Obama was against the War on Terror before he was for it. They also know that Obama has repeatedly lied about his family background, his relationship with his former pastor Jeremiah Wright, his leftwing policies, etc. And that's why Mitt Romney needs to fight back against Team Barry and their host of lies concerning Bain Capital:
The Romney campaign will begin to aggressively push back against President Obama's accusations that the Republican was an "outsourcing pioneer" today, a source privy to the the campaign's strategy told BuzzFeed.
In a conference call Monday morning, senior staff said Romney's surrogates would stop shying away from the word "lie" in responding to Democrats' attacks on his business record, and plan to go on TV to call Obama a "liar," the source said.

"They are very fed up with these attacks," said the source.

The pushback comes after a week of hand-wringing among GOP elite, who worry that Romney is letting Obama's attacks — which seek to undermine the very rationale for the Republican's candidacy, his private sector experience — gain traction without any serious effort to rebut them. Some Republican strategists have said Romney should be spending serious money to respond to the attacks.

"The feeling was that nobody is watching this right now," said the source. "They had a time frame to respond to the Bain attacks... But today the counterattack with the surrogates is going to begin."

The thrust of Obama's attacks come from a Washington Post story published last month that revealed Bain Capital invested in companies that specialized in "helping other companies move or expand operations overseas." Chicago seized on the revelations to advance a narrative that Romney made his fortune by advising companies on how to outsource jobs.

In response, Romney surrogates are going to make the case that most of the offshoring happened after the Republican left Bain, and that much of it was simply to help firms sell products overseas.

To spread the message, the source said, the campaign is going to start circulating a document to press that compiles "presidential falsehoods and exaggerations."
