Conservative Actor James Woods on Left’s Hollywood Blacklist: ‘I Don’t Expect to Work Again’

In an industry dominated by the white, morally-bankrupt, liberal, elite, conservatives actors know that they are risking their livelihoods when speaking out against liberal terrorism:

Actor James Woods, one of the few outspoken, persistent critics of the Obama Administration in Hollywood realizes that he’s jeopardizing his career given the suffocating left-wing political correctness that so dominates the entertainment industry.

After calling out President Obama for his rank hypocrisy in closing down the World War II Memorial but allowing a protest of illegal aliens to occur at the “closed” National Mall, Woods acknowledged he was jeopardizing his future by condemning Obama as a “true abomination.”

“I don’t expect to work again,” Woods said on Twitter after being asked if he was putting his career at risk. “I think Barack Obama is a threat to the integrity and future of the Republic. My country first.” 

This is not the first time that Woods has criticized Obama. This past July, he condemned the president for increasing racial resentment and not encouraging work as the only path from poverty.

“ALL youth of every heritage in this country would benefit from jobs and manageable student loans, NOT a bloated Welfare State,” he said on Twitter after Obama claimed that he had witnessed people lock their doors when he approached them simply because he was a black man.

“The only reason people lock their car doors when Obama walks by is they are afraid he'll tax them to death...” he continued.

Kudos to Woods for being brave enough to speak up about his views despite the very real risk that he’s ended up on the left’s blacklist.

Chris Christie Blasts Supreme Court For Striking Down DOMA: ‘Another Example Of Judicial Supremacy’

Hey, good for him. Conservatives around the country better start rallying around this guy if they ever want another GOP POTUS:

New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie scoffed at the Supreme Court’s decision on Wednesday to declare the Defense of Marriage Act unconstitutional. During his regular “Ask the Governor” appearance on New Jersey 101.5 on Wednesday, Christie blasted what he characterized as the Court exercising “judicial supremacy” in overriding an act of Congress.


“I don’t think the ruling was appropriate,” Christie said of the Court’s decision to strike down DOMA. “I think it was wrong.”

Christie said that the Court’s method of ruling in this case is indicative of a problem he thinks is a prevalent feature of the New Jersey Supreme Court. He attacked the U.S. Supreme Court for substituting “their own judgment for the judgment of a Republican Congress and a Democratic President.”

“I thought that Justice [Anthony] Kennedy’s opinion was, in many respects, incredibly insulting to those people, 340-some members of Congress who voted for the Defense of Marriage Act, and Bill Clinton,” Christie opined.

He basically said that the only reason to pass that bill was to demean people. That’s heck of a thing to say about Bill Clinton and about the Republican Congress back in the ‘90s. And it’s just another example of judicial supremacy, rather than having the government run by the people we actually vote for.

Christie said he opposes gay marriage and has made it clear that he believes marriage exists only between a man and a woman. Christie vetoed a bill passed by the state legislature that would have made same-sex marriage legal in the Garden State, but insisted he would not object to a referendum being put to the state’s voters. 

Christie blasted the legislature for blocking a gay marriage referendum but instead supporting a public vote on a minimum wage increase. Christie accused the legislature of playing “politics” with the issue of gay marriage. 

“That’s important enough to put on the ballot. But gay marriage is not,” Christie said summarizing the legislature’s position. “That’s something the people should decide, but not whether same-sex marriage should happen in New Jersey.”

MSNBC Panel Praises Bill O’Reilly For Slamming Michelle Bachmann, Highlight Network’s Own Timidity

Love, love, love this article by Mediaite's Noah Rothman on MSNBC's utter hypocrisy, huge ego and cowardness in ever attacking Barry and the Democrat party for doing some the same exact things they give the GOP so much grief about:

On Thursday, the host and panel guests on MSNBC’s Now praised Fox News Channel’s Bill O’Reilly for directing a series of unqualified criticisms at Rep. Michelle Bachmann (R-MN) after the conservative House member made a series of inaccurate statements in a misguided effort to attack Democratic politicians. Well, the MSNBC hosts almost praised O’Reilly before the panel guests pulled back, lest they allow themselves a moment of impartiality. In fact, their praise was couched in a criticism: why do Fox News Channel’s hosts not criticize Republican politicians more often? In fact, with a bit of introspection, MSNBC’s hosts could ask themselves why they don’t chastise Democratic politicians with any regularity? Particularly given the wealth of material available to support those criticisms. 

On Wednesday, O’Reilly went after Bachmann’s factually inaccurate attacks on President Barack Obama in clear terms lacking any prevarication:

“It’s long past time for partisans, on both the right and the left, to cut the nonsense and look at things clearly. We’ve got huge problems in America and the president’s directly responsible for some of those problems… Michele Bachmann is playing small ball with the president, can’t back up her criticism, and actually trivializes a huge problem: irresponsible spending by the federal government.”

The following day, the hosts and panel guests of Now praised O’Reilly for his unorthodox divergence from the expected, reflexive defense of a Republican lawmaker under fire in the press.

MSNBC host Alex Wagner cited the Washington Post’s fact checker blog which admonished Bachmann for inflating the amount of funding the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (food stamps) applies to administrative costs versus the funding it directs to needy beneficiaries. 

“As comedic as Michelle Bachmann’s lies and distortions are, I actually feel like this is really dangerous,” Wagner said. “This gets into the water stream and then it becomes a repeated talking point, and people are completely misled about the realities of our budget and government spending.”

“This is what happens when you read the comments section of too many right-wing blogs,” noted The New Yorker columnist Rick Hertzberg.

“She’s probably getting more air time on MSNBC, at this point, than on Fox,” Hertzberg guessed. 

Wagner corrected him and noted that O’Reilly did take Bachmann to task over this and other assertions she has made in recent days which are inaccurate and, as O’Reilly noted, damaging to the conservative movement in the long run. Wagner called O’Reilly’s rogue commentary “a welcome change.”

MSNBC contributor and former Democratic operative Karen Finney almost agreed, but stressed that this kind of truthful commentary on Fox is lamentably rare.

“Okay, Bill O’Reilly, one time, called her out,” Finney remarked dismissively. “The Republican Party has got to break their addiction to the Bill O’Reilly…”

“To crazy,” Wagner interjected. 

“To, you know, Rush Limbaugh, and, I don’t know, check a few facts. Do a little math here and there,” Finney continued. 

Oh, how saucily droll. Judging from this panel’s reaction, one may be led to believe that MSNBC’s hosts regularly critique ideologically simpatico lawmakers on the Hill. Or, perhaps, that there is simply a dearth of factual inaccuracies promoted by Democrats to critique. 

For the sake of a narrowly defined argument, let’s focus entirely on what Washington Post fact checker Glenn Kessler has deemed Pinocchio-worthy in recent weeks. Maybe MSNBC’s hosts missed this choice nugget from a speech delivered by Sen. Barbara Boxer (D-CA) in the Senate on March 4:

“I think we ought to go back to the people and the party that was the only party and the only people to balance the budget in 40 years. I hate to break it to my Republican friends, but that is the Democratic Party. We are the ones who did it. We did it when Bill Clinton came into office. We did it after hard work. We did it after painful cuts. We did it with smart investments.”

It has become part of the modern Democratic Party’s provenance myth that Bill Clinton’s presidency was characterized by minimal deficits, balanced budgets, peace, prosperity, and a general cultural renaissance. All of these glorious accomplishments – achieved single-handedly — were ignominiously undone by his predecessor. 

Unfortunately, the facts do not comport with the attractive fable. 

“Clinton’s plan was never intended to achieve a balanced budget. After the bill’s passage, the Congressional Budget Office estimated that the deficit would decline modestly — from $290 billion in 1992 to $200 billion in 1998,” Kessler writes. “Between 1994 and 1999, realized capital gains nearly quadrupled, the CBO concluded, with taxes on those gains accounting for about 30 percent of the increased growth of individual income tax liabilities relative to the growth of GDP.”

“Clinton was lucky to have become president just as a revolution in computer and information technologies was unleashed,” he continued. The 42nd President of the United States was also lucky to preside over a Republican Congress after 1994 which, Kessler notes, “substantially shifted” the policy debate in Washington and “immediately set the goal of achieving a balanced budget within seven years.”
Kessler’s verdict: three Pinocchios.

Then there’s this comment from the beginning of the month:

”Starting tomorrow everybody here, all the folks who are cleaning the floors at the Capitol. Now that Congress has left, somebody’s going to be vacuuming and cleaning those floors and throwing out the garbage. They’re going to have less pay. The janitors, the security guards, they just got a pay cut, and they’ve got to figure out how to manage that. That’s real.”

This irresponsible comment, delivered by the President of the United States and leader of the Democratic Party, Barack Obama, prompted a spokesperson from the Architect of the Capitol to issue a statement noting that the comments were flatly “not true.” 

“White House officials assumed there was an impact but they were not exactly sure themselves. We will also note that the president said the pay cut was happening “tomorrow,” Kessler writes. “Obama’s remarks continue the administration’s pattern of overstating the potential impact of the sequester, which we have explored this week. But this error is particularly bad–and nerve-wracking to the janitors and security guards who were misled by the president’s comments.”

This comment earned the president four opprobrious Pinocchios.

This is just two examples from the Washington Post’s fact checker blog from March alone.

The president’s inaccurate and hyperbolic statements relating to the sequester have largely contributed to the failure of the Democratic Party to realize their goal of cornering Republicans and forcing them to acquiesce to another round of tax hikes. At the moment, the sequester fight appears today to be a stinging defeat for Democrats, largely due to the president’s rhetorical overreach. 

A number of MSNBC anchors and hosts did, in fact, mention Kessler’s findings in this instance, including S.E. Cupp, Willie Geist, Andrea Mitchell and Chris Jansing. But if the criticism of Fox is that it does not regularly engage in Sista Souljah moments — castigating their own in order to maintain credibility — then this moment passed by MSNBC’s hosts unexploited. The network’s marquee hosts and opinion leaders neglected to use this event in the way O’Reilly did Bachmann’s. 

Kessler’s post on Obama or Boxer’s gaffes, and they were gaffes, would have made for a perfect opportunity for the nation’s premier cable news personalities on the left to pull an O’Reilly and criticize Obama for endangering the cause of liberalism with his careless comments. They neglected to do this. 

This not to say that MSNBC’s personalities never go off the reservation — it has been known to occur. But this particular episode, criticizing Bill O’Reilly for not attacking lawmakers on his side of the political aisle while praising him for doing just that, is simply too rich.

Instead of attacking Fox for not making a point of regularly skewering the Republican Party’s most perplexing figures, some of MSNBC’s host should try it out for themselves.

Liberal Comedian Jimmy Fallon Sandbags Michele Bachmann with "Lyin' Ass Bitch" Intro Music

I'm in the blaming both sides camp on this one. First, Bachmann's handlers for putting her on a late-night liberal comedian's show where she could only look stupid (and she did)--I mean as much as Fallon isn't one of the top names when one thinks of late-night hosts, anybody who does their research would know that Fallon's politics strongly lean Left. Then too, Bachmann just isn't good when it comes to comedy. The point being what good could've possibly come out of Bachmann's appearance here? It's the same thing I wonder about when conservatives choose to go on MSNBC knowing full well that the network serves as Barry's "reelection team"? Secondly, this was just a cowardly move on the part of Fallon and his hip-hop band the Roots--granted the Roots do have a history of using intro music to diss guests in the past who weren't conservatives, but to think if this had happened to a female Democrat politician, the outrage from the MSM would be stupedous. That said, Fallow owes Bachmann an apology and Bachmann's handlers need to do a better job at vetting people before agreeing to allow their candidate to appear on their show, much less look like a fool or risk getting sandbagged:

Submitted for your disapproval, in case you haven’t already seen the clip elsewhere. Compare and contrast with the Fishbone original. The dumbest part of this, of course, is the drummer tweeting about it to make sure everyone got “the joke,” which defeats the purpose of disguising the insult. If you know the media’s going to be buzzing about it tomorrow, why not just call Bachmann a “lyin’ ass bitch” to her face? At least that way she’d get to defend herself and the show wouldn’t look like it’s stabbing her in the back.


A Twitter user asked the drummer last night, “you don’t think indirectly calling a guest on your show a ‘bitch’ might blow up in your face? & maybe it should? (I’m a democrat)”. Here was the response. Fallon himself tweeted a few hours ago that the drummer is “grounded” but we’ll have to wait ’til tonight’s show to find out if that means anything more than “please stop yelling at me about Bachmann.”

“The performance was a tongue-in-cheek and spur of the moment decision. The show was not aware of it and I feel bad if her feelings were hurt. That was not my intention,” Ahmir “Questlove” Thompson said in a statement…


Thompson is a known supporter of President Obama and has contributed to his campaign. His Twitter account features a photograph of the drummer with the president.

Rick Perry's Friendship With Cancer Patient Was Reason He Wanted Young Girls Vaccinated Against HPV

Well, this bit of news just makes Michele Bachmann look pretty stupid, now doesn't it:

She was 31, and her last wish was to save girls from cervical cancer.


Now, four years after her death, Heather Burcham is making headlines and saving lives again - this time, in the middle of Gov. Rick Perry’s Republican presidential campaign.


When Perry was dogged by opponents and reporters last week about his short-lived 2007 order requiring girls to be vaccinated against HPV, he never mentioned Heather.


But in her last months of life, long after legislative pressure had forced him to rescind the order, he phoned and visited her in Houston, even taking the 80-pound terminal cancer patient for a play day at a friend’s ranch.


Houston developer Craig Wilson, who first hired Burcham as a nanny and came to love her as a family friend, said Perry proved that he meant to save lives, not get publicity.


"He could have brought up this weepy story about Heather and made it a big heart-tugging story," Wilson said Friday.


"He didn’t, because he didn’t befriend her for publicity. He did it because he’s a real human being."


The story of Perry’s friendship with Burcham was retold Thursday by her former co-workers at ABC affiliate KTRK-TV in Houston, including snapshots of Perry taking Burcham for a motorcycle ride and visiting her bedside.


"I like to think Heather’s up in heaven, stirring the pot," Wilson said.


"She wants us all to remember that if this shot had been available when she was 11 or 12, she might not be dead."


He criticized Michele Bachmann’s complaints about the vaccine and maker Merck & Co.’s campaign contributions.


"She boxed herself into that ’all vaccines are evil’ camp," Wilson said. "And saying he did it for the money _ look, there was no reason for the governor to be so kind to Heather. He was trying to do good."

This afternoon, America Live’s Megyn Kelly tackled the mounting controversy surrounding Newsweek’s rather odd choice of picture and headline for its cover profile on GOP presidential hopeful and Minnesota congresswoman Michele Bachmann. Some conservatives, as well as the National Organization of Women (NOW), are speaking out against the cover, calling it sexist and politically biased. Kelly brought on the Daily Caller’s Caroline May to discuss the outcry.


When, Kelly asked, was the last time anyone has heard of NOW aligning with conservatives?


It’s rare, and when they do do it, they have some sort of caveat to go along with it, but it’s really striking that they went ahead and took Bachmann’s defense this time around. They’ve been having a lot of attacks against her and, I mean I think it’s just the final straw. She’s been, you know, in the spotlight and she’s being hit for it.


May had actually been able to speak with the head of NOW to obtain a clearer view of why the group was denouncing the Newsweek cover:


Terry O’Neill, she said what they look for is Gloria Steinem’s test: If this were done to a man, or if it ever could have been done to a man, then it’s not considered sexist. But because, obviously, this is… She’s labeled a “queen” and put as crazy, it’s more sexist.


Kelly then very succinctly wrapped up the central issue at play in this story into a neat little phrase we’ll personally be borrowing this week:


We’ve talked before on the program about how certain women politicians — it’s not limited to conservative women, but you see that often — get deemed (and pardon the terms, folks) as either “nuts or sluts” when they’re running for office.

When even NOW gets in on the matter and starts defending sexist treatment against a conservative woman you know have a problem. The irony of all this is the lack of outrage towards Tina Brown, the woman who now runs Newsweek.

MSNBC’s Tamron Hall Defends Michele Bachmann Over Gay Issue: ‘Why Not Accept Her For Who She Is?’

MSNBC’s Tamron Hall spoke with radio host Michael Smerconish about the bubbling up controversy surrounding Republican presidential candidate Michele Bachmann and her history of controversial remarks about a gay lifestyle. Combined with allegations that Bachmann’s husband led “pray away the gay” therapy sessions, it’s no wonder many gay groups are targeting Bachmann for attack or eager to meet with her to educate her. Yet Hall found it particularly interesting that just as some blast Bachmann’s husband for allegedly imposing his views on others, some of the very same critics are determined to get Bachmann to be accepting of their views.


Smerconish said he thinks Bachmann needs to meet a former intern of his who is a strong conservative and a loyal supporter of many Republican candidates, but who also happens to be gay. Smerconish warned that if Bachmann doesn’t distance herself from her past statements fast, then her perceived anti-gay stance could be a “death-knell” for her general election chances, since “no way moderates and independents are ever going to vote for her when they hear all of this.” Hall made an interesting and thought-provoking argument in response:


“It is one thing obviously for people to say they disagree with Congresswoman Bachmann and say that the things that she says are hateful – whatever. I am though intrigued by the number of people who want to change her opinion rather than accept that it is her view. . . . I am intrigued by how her husband’s clinic wants to ‘pray the gay away’ for some people and others would like to pray or inject into her their philosophy, their thoughts and their beliefs. I am intrigued by that. Why not accept her for who she is or who she says she is and decide if you are willing to vote for someone like that.”


It remains to be seen whether voters would be more likely to believe any new clarifying campaign rhetoric from Bachmann or whether her old statements in front of a much smaller audience would ring truer? Regardless, Hall’s point seems simple enough: let candidates speak their minds freely, for better or worse, and rather than have groups try to convert a candidate’s thinking, simply just let the voters decide.

While Tamron Hall does make an excellent point about why people can't accept Michele Bachmann's position on homosexuality, I get the feeling that as a black liberal what she really meant was 'So what? Bachmann's a bigot, she'll dig her own grave'. That said, the Left and the rest of the gay activists within the Gay Mafia continue to need homosexuality be assigned as a biological trait. One can't argue against with a "civil rights" issue if it's determined as unchangeable and the far-Left knows this. So while homosexuality remains and will always be a lifestyle choice due to the fact that there is no scientific conclusion that says it's genetic, liberals will continue to toss out lies that claim otherwise. It's who they are and it's why they're so adamant to not only change Bachmann's mind, but push her aside esp. when her views get to be a little too popular.

Megyn Kelly Probes Double Standard On Gaffes Of Michele Bachmann And Chuck Schumer

Last Sunday, Democratic Senator Chuck Schumer appeared on CNN to discuss the debt ceiling, but made other headlines when he mistakenly referred to the “three branches of government” as the House, the Senate and the President, but left out the Judicial branch of government. Today on Fox News, Megyn Kelly explored why if Sarah Palin or Congresswoman Michele Bachmann made the same gaffe, it would have been headline news everywhere as opposed to the scant coverage Schumer received.


Democratic strategist Dan Gerstein’s rationale for the different treatment was that “people think Chuck Schumer is very smart, and they think that for a reason, because he is really smart, so he will get some latitude.” In other words, it seems in Gerstein’s view, that since the jury is out on Palin’s and Bachmann’s intelligence, then jumping on every verbal mistake they make is fair game? Kelly accurately summed up the concern with some fun word choice, wondering “could there be some sexism in saying those two, the pretty ones on the right, they’re the dum-dums, but this guy over here, he’s a smarty-pants?”


Conservative commentator Mike Gallagher attempted to back her up, arguing conservative women are unfairly targeted and claimed that since Schumer is on the Senate Judiciary Committee, and still forgot the Judicial branch, then clearly he’s not that smart. Yet Kelly threw some cold water on his argument by bringing up a quote Gallagher himself said about liberal Congresswoman Nancy Pelosi: “I simply said if you threw a bucket of water on her it would be interesting to see what happens.”

MSNBC's Sarah Palin Sickness

Proof that any idea of Palin Derangement Syndrome not existing on the Left is not only an outright lie, but just what little they have to talk about without Citizen Sarah (or Michele Bachmann of course). Either way it's all about shutting conservative women up, something they just can't do:

Now that Keith Olbermann has left MSNBC, perhaps cable news can begin weaning itself from its addiction to Sarah Palin. Sure, it will be tough, even expensive — withdrawals usually are — but we all know that reporters themselves are aching for some Palin-free airtime, and audiences seem willing to give it a try as well, judging from her sudden drop in popularity polls.


From a high of 80 percent a little over two years ago, Palin's approval rating sits at just 38 percent. That pollsters routinely collect such data on a woman who doesn't hold office (unless you count being the star of a nonrenewed TLC reality show a perch) and isn’t running for anything other than her next private plane for an appearance speaks to the media’s dysfunctional obsession with her. After all, it’s been more than two years since she was Sen. John McCain's vice-presidential candidate. Hence calls from some prominent columnists to publicly declare their intention to ignore her, at least for a while.


The Washington Post's Dana Milbank, in his Jan. 21 column, went so far as to propose a "Palin-free February" of news coverage after confessing he had written 42 columns about her since 2008. "Though it is embarrassing to admit this in public, I can no longer hide the truth. I have a Sarah Palin problem," Milbank wrote.


Admitting you have a problem and doing something about it, though, are two different things. The main problem in media? Profitabilty, especially for cable news. They just can't quit her. She drives ratings, and in an age of shrinking news staffs and foreign bureaus, she doesn't require much producer manpower save for a script with some plain old on-air commentary. You don't even have to pay for a stand-up shot in front of Congress anymore.


And the narrative and conflict is self-perpetuating. Palin is MSNBC's No. 1 target, and Fox News has become her chief protector. CNN does neither to the extent of its rivals, forever milk-toasting about under the guise of "balance," and it's probably no coincidence that its ratings are third among the three. All this talk about civility — especially in the wake of the Tuscon massacre — is boring in cable-news land. Consider CNN's John King, who apologized to his audience after a guest used the word "crosshairs" in an entirely benign context and was roundly criticized for political correctness run amok. Compare that to Olbermann, who in response to Jon Stewart's "Rally to Restore Sanity" call for more civil discourse, suspended his caustic "Worst Person" segment, only to quickly reverse course when audiences said they missed it.

Chris Matthews Attacks Michele Bachmann as 'Zombie-Like' and 'Moonie-Like' for Defending Free Enterprise on BBC

MSNBC host Chris Matthews cannot understand how conservatives could think that free enterprise is somehow American, and that being anti-free enterprise seems anti-American. On Tuesday night's Hardball, Matthews boosted a new effort by Democrats like David Brock and Kathleen Kennedy Townsend to organize their own independent-expenditure campaign to beat Republicans. Matthews brought on Townsend, who couldn't even win a race for governor of a blue state (Maryland) to explain how she would make the Democrats victorious. Matthews aired BBC video of Rep. Michele Bachmann (clearly borrowed from the Think Progress blog, since you can see the "Pro" of their logo), and attacked her as like a zombie, a Moonie, and a Manchurian Candidate:

MATTHEWS: Look at her eye contact. I asked her when we had her on election night if she's under hypnosis. She doesn't answer the question. She looks straight ahead in that kind of zombie-like manner, like she's waiting for somebody to flash a card, like in "Manchurian Candidate." I mean, I don't know what her state is. She apparently just got blown away running for leadership, so the members of the House on the Republican side --

TOWNSEND: Well, they know.

MATTHEWS: -- know who she is.

TOWNSEND: They know that she`s a problem.

MATTHEWS: But this kind of bizarro behavior, where you come on, Moonie-like, if you will, and just stare into the camera and recite this -- the question was, Do you think the president`s anti-American?

TOWNSEND: No, no, no.

MATTHEWS: Yes or no? No, she talked about, what, equity shares and - -

TOWNSEND: It`s totally strange. And the fact is, she`s wrong about what`s going -- what we need to America. We need a strong health care system, which every other industrialized country has. And if you do polls, as you know, Chris, of the American people, they want health care. In fact, they wished it were stronger.
