Judging from the numbers even black liberals are finally starting to realize that Barack Obama not only doesn't care about the trials and tribulations going in the black community, but he's narcissistic enough to believe that he can continue to ignore his African-American base and still get their support in 2012. Well, finally a prominent black liberal like Maxine Waters is speaking out against Barry not only taking her tribe for granted, but for daring to tell them to sit and shut up as he did this past weekend:

Looks like Barack Obama really made an impression on the Congressional Black Caucus this weekend — but not the one he intended. Maxine Waters tells CBS that she’s not sure exactly who Obama thought he was addressing, and claimed that the CBC has worked a whole lot more on unemployment than the President has, without whining about their critics. But Waters goes one better by telling CBS that Obama wouldn’t have dared telling a couple of other identity groups to stop griping:


Sounds as if the CBC just fired a shot across Obama’s bow on the pecking order for pandering in the Democratic coalition. After NY-09, Obama has tried to jolly along his Jewish supporters, who look like they may either sit on their hands in 2012 or bolt for the Republicans in numbers large enough to matter. Earlier this year, Obama backed off from defending DOMA and pushing for a quick end to DADT to mollify the LGBT lobby. The CBC apparently feels as though Obama takes them for granted, and Obama telling them to shut up apparently didn’t convince the CBC of his appreciation.

Rep. Allen West Blasts Fellow CBC Member’s Tea Party-Lynching Comment

On Thursday night’s The Factor, host Bill O’Reilly discussed the Congressional Black Caucus’ rhetoric concerning the Tea Party movement. He played an audio clip of a particularly provocative comment made by Indiana Congressman André Carson (D) in which he told an audience in Miami that members of Congress sympathetic to the Tea Party would “love to see you and me… hanging on a tree.”


Oh my. “Now using violent imagery with racial overtones to attack a political group is absolutely un-American,” said O’Reilly. “But Mr. Carson in unrepentant.” He brought on Florida Congressman Allen West, himself a Republican member of the Congressional Black Caucus, who felt “we don’t need that kind of incendiary talk” and he expressed this much in a letter to Missouri Congressman Emanuel Cleaver, chairman to the the Congressional Black Caucus.


O’Reilly’s theory is that such rhetoric is born out of the fear that black voters are not currently interested in re-electing Barack Obama in 2012 and, so, his opposition must be “demonized.” West agreed:


This is nothing but one of the tactics — I believe it’s rule number 13 out of Saul Alinsky’s Rules for Radicals — where you pick a target, you freeze it, you isolate it, and you begin to attack it. And I think that’s one of the important things they’re trying to do.

If you're a black, liberal Democrat playing the race card never gets old.

Tea Party Fires Back At Maxine Waters, Call Democrats Hypocrites On Civility

A "tea party" group has fired back at Rep. Maxine Waters (D-Los Angeles), who during a Saturday forum for unemployed people in Inglewood said "the 'tea party' can go straight to hell."


The event occurred a day after new statistics were released showing that California's jobless rate last month went up to 12%, from 11.8%. California now has the second-highest rate of unemployment in the nation, trailing only Nevada at 12.9%, and its jobless rate is well above the U.S. average of 9.1%.


More than 1,000 people attended "Kitchen Table Summit," which was designed to give the jobless an opportunity to vent to elected officials and share their struggles about finding a job.


Waters criticized Republicans in Congress, saying: "I'm not afraid of anybody. This is a tough game. You can't be intimidated. You can't be frightened. And as far as I'm concerned, the 'tea party' can go straight to hell."


Waters told the crowd about job fairs the Congressional Black Caucus is organizing nationwide, including one such event scheduled for Aug. 31 in Los Angeles. She encouraged residents to continue their push to make government get big businesses' help to fix the problem.

"You got to stand with me to fight this," Waters said.


One tea party group took issue with Waters in a statement released Monday.
"We’ve had Democrats calling American citizens ‘terrorists’ and ‘hostage takers,’ and now an elected Democratic representative says that we can ‘go straight to hell,’” the group Tea Party Patriots said, according to the Washington Post. “... Is civility only required from their opponents? Perhaps it’s time for a new-NEW era of civility. ... The president’s silence on these latest violations of civility has been deafening, but not surprising.”

Just when you commend a well-known black liberal like Waters finally speaking out on the fact that Barry ignores his black electorate and his liberal policies have made things worse for blacks in America, she goes back to being the crazy, old witch that conservatives have long known her to be. No doubt Barry will have little to nothing to say about this diabolical rant.

Maxine Waters to Obama: Pay More Attention To Blacks

U.S. Rep. Maxine Waters (D-Los Angeles) called on President Obama on Thursday to pay more attention to black Americans, saying she and other members of the Congressional Black Caucus are “not just frustrated with the president -– communities are hurting.”


“The economy, the loss of jobs, the pain is real. We’re talking about indisputable facts,” she said on MSNBC’s “Morning Joe.”


“We’ve got to be in the discussion. We want to be part of the solution. We cannot continue to go on watching everybody talk about what the solutions are without us being included in it,” she said.


Citing already high unemployment and foreclosure levels that are intensified in the black community, Waters commented on growing frustrations that black Americans were being ignored by the administration.


“Take a look at this headline in the Wall Street Journal: ‘Obama aims to keep white voters on board,’ ” Waters said, holding up a copy of the paper. “Well, we want to be on board too.”


The comments piggybacked on remarks Waters made at a Detroit town-hall meeting on jobs two days ago, when she said the CBC was “getting tired” of continuing to support Obama as the economy continued to struggle.

George Stephanopoulos Grills Maxine Waters On Ethics Violations

George Stephanopoulos on Friday showed that it is possible to force a Democratic politician to answer tough questions. The Good Morning America host grilled Representative Maxine Waters over allegations that she misused her office for personal gain.


Every single one of Stephanopoulos' questions was hard hitting, including this query: "The ethics committee is bipartisan. Five Democrats and five Republicans. If these charges are so groundless, how did this happen to you?" Waters is charged with assisting in obtaining TARP money for a bank that her husband had investments worth $175,000.

Considering that Stephanopoulos is a former adviser to Bill Clinton this comes as a shocker.

Ethics Panel Files Formal Case Against Democrat Rep. Maxine Waters

In accusing Rep. Maxine Waters (D- Los Angeles) of violating House ethics rules, congressional investigators have focused on a meeting she arranged with Treasury officials that they say centered on the fortunes of a single bank — one with ties to her husband.

Three months after Waters called Treasury Secretary Henry Paulson to set up the meeting during the financial crisis, OneUnited Bank received $12 million in bailout funds.

Waters' husband, Sidney Williams, served on the bank board from 2004 to 2008 and at the time of the Sept. 9, 2008, meeting was a stockholder in the bank, according to a report from the Office of Congressional Ethics made public Monday.

Democratic Rep. Maxine Waters May Face Ethic Charges, Seeks Public Trial

A second House Democrat, Rep. Maxine Waters of California, could face an ethics trial this fall, further complicating the election outlook for the party as it battles to retain its majority.

People familiar with the investigation, who were not authorized to be quoted about charges before they are made public, say the allegations could be announced next week. The House ethics committee declined Friday to make any public statement on the matter.

Waters, 71, has been under investigation for a possible conflict of interest involving a bank that was seeking federal aid. Her husband owned stock in the bank and had served on its board.

New York Democrat Rep. Charles Rangel also faces an ethics trial this fall on charges that include failure to disclose assets and income, nonpayment of taxes and doing legislative favors for donors to a college center named after him.

Both Waters and Rangel are prominent members of the Congressional Black Caucus and the trials would be an embarrassment for the group. Dual ethics trials would also be a major political liability for Democrats, forcing them to defend their party's ethical conduct while trying to hold on to their House majority.

Corrupt Democrat Charles Rangel Now On Thin Ice

The House ethics committee on Thursday expanded its investigation of Rep. Charles Rangel to include his belated financial disclosure of hundreds of thousands of dollars in previously unreported assets and income.

The expansion only increases the political burden that the Ways and Means Committee chairman from Harlem places on House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, who refuses to make him step down from his post.

Pelosi and Majority Leader Steny Hoyer have said they would take no action while the ethics investigation of the New York Democrat is under way, but the inquiry has dragged on for a year and expanded several times while it pushes closer to the 2010 election year.

Republicans have forced House votes three times, the latest this week, on removing Rangel from his tax-writing position. While Democrats easily defeated each attempt, the issue has allowed Republicans to ridicule Pelosi's refrain that Democrats would drain the swamp of ethical misconduct that previously plagued Republicans.

The committee said it would now investigate whether Rangel broke House rules "with respect to all financial disclosure statements and all amendments filed in calendar year 2009" as required under the Ethics In Government Act.

The law requires annual financial reports filed by all members of Congress showing ranges of assets and income.

Rangel's revisions showed assets and income from 2002 through 2006 that should have been reported in those earlier years.

The fact that liberals like Maxine Waters are so willing to go out of their way to defend a complete incompetent like Charles Rangel reminds you of how much change we really need come 2010.
