Russian Leaders Laugh At Barack Obama

But then I imagine it'd be hard for any world leader to respect a Godless, far-Left, mom jeans-wearing POTUS who throws like a girl:
Russia’s deputy prime minister laughed off President Obama’s sanction against him today  asking “Comrade @BarackObama” if “some prankster” came up with the list.

The Obama administration hit 11 Russian and Ukrainian officials with sanctions today as punishment for Russia’s support of Crimea’s referendum. Among them: aides to President Vladimir Putin, a top government official, senior lawmakers, Crimean officials, the ousted president of Ukraine, and a Ukrainian politician and businessman allegedly tied to violence against protesters in Kiev.

It remains to be seen whether the sanctions will dissuade Russia from annexing Crimea, but one an early clue that they will not be effective came just hours later when President Putin signed a decree recognizing Crimea as an independent state, perhaps an early step towards annexation.

U.S. official have warned of additional sanctions for Russian action, hoping it will deter Russia from any further aggression towards Ukraine, but it didn’t appear to upset the often outspoke Deputy Prime Minister Dmitry Rogozin.
Rogozin, a friend of actor Steven Seagal,  took to Twitter to tweak Obama, tweeting  he thinks “some prankster” came up with the sanctions list.

In a later tweet addressed to “Comrade @BarackObama,” he asked, “what should do those who have neither accounts nor property abroad? Or U didn’t think about it?”

Another Russian on the sanctions list, Vladislav Surkov, also seemed unconcerned.

Surkov,  a top Putin ideologue often called the Kremlin’s grey cardinal, reportedly told a Russian newspaper, “It’s a big honor for me. I don’t have accounts abroad. The only things that interest me in the U.S. are Tupac Shakur, Allen Ginsberg, and Jackson Pollock. I don’t need a visa to access their work. I lose nothing.”

Here’s who gets hit with the sanctions:

U.S. officials said that, among the sanctioned individuals were the “key ideologists and architects” of Russia’s Ukraine policy, while adding that some of the Russian officials were included in the list for their role in curbing “human rights and liberties” in Russia.

The sanctions freeze any assets under American jurisdiction and prevent American banks from doing business with the named individual, essentially freezing them out of the international banking system. The sanctions also impose a ban on their travel to the United States. Separately, but in coordination with the White House, the European Union announced sanctions today on 21 individuals that it plans to name later. U.S. officials told reporters that the American and European lists “overlapped” in some area, but declined to say how.

While some of the sanctioned officials are bold faced names, the White House move is unlikely to affect Russia’s decision making with regard to Crimea’s bid to join the Russian Federation. Russia’s stock market actually improved on the news that so few officials were included on the list. U.S. officials warned that, if Russia does go ahead with annexation of Crimea, additional penalties will follow, with more, harsher measures to come if Russia attempts to enter eastern Ukraine.

MSNBC’s Most Embarrassing Mockery of Mitt Romney’s Russia Warnings

Mediaite.com:
The smug self-assuredness that often suffices for expertise on cable news was perhaps never more smug than when former Republican presidential candidate Mitt Romney warned the American public that Russia was rapidly positioning itself as America’s “number one geopolitical foe.” Among the worst offenders were the hosts and guests who provide MSNBC with content on a daily basis.

In early 2012, President Barack Obama was caught on an open microphone telling Russia’s then-President Dmitry Medvedev that he would have more “flexibility” after the presidential election in his dealings with Russia. Romney reacted strongly to that comment. Appearing on CNN, the GOP nominee said that the United States should regard Russia as a geopolitical adversary and should work to limit Russia’s flexibility rather than to secure it. His observation was soundly criticized by the president’s defenders who, at the time, were still attempting to rehabilitate Obama’s floundering “Reset” with Russia

There were few who defended Romney’s comments. Even snake-bit Republicans, chastened by the swift backlash in the media, hedged when asked to back up Romney’s assessment of the challenges posed by Moscow. But MSNBC’s wagons circled particularly quickly in defense of the president. Volley after volley of snark was lobbed in the GOP nominee’s direction.

“I don’t know what decade this guy’s living in,” MSNBC host Chris Matthews said with a sigh on March 28, 2012. “Is he trying to play Ronald Reagan here, or what?”

“This is Mitt Romney’s severely conservative problem,” University of Georgia professor Cynthia Tucker opined on-the-air. “It made Romney look dumb. He’s not a dumb man, but he said something that was clearly dumb.”

Huffington Post reporter Sam Stein agreed that Romney’s statement was evidence of an “antiquated worldview.” He fretted further about how Romney, should he become president, would enter the office having severely complicated America’s bilateral relations with Moscow given his carelessly provocative statement.

“I personally am worried about what it says to the Russian people,” Matthews added to a chorus of sagely nods.

MSNBC hosts Rachel Maddow and Lawrence O’Donnell got in on the self-satisfied ridicule, too.
Promoting Maddow’s latest book about the “unmooring of American military power,” O’Donnell asked the flagship MSNBC host if Romney was merely reflecting on what he might have read in that book.

“He read about Reagan’s private, outside-the-CIA cabal of team-B zealots who were telling him that Russia had all the stuff they didn’t have so he could justify a giant defense budget,” Maddow submitted scornfully.

“It is amazing that Mitt Romney can flip like that just as soon as he hears something to exploit in foreign policy,” O’Donnell remarked.

Maddow took her observations about Romney’s position on Russia one ill-advised step further on her MSNBC.com blog:
I can appreciate why the Romney campaign would try to make Obama’s “hot mic” story interesting, but the problem is the former governor just doesn’t have any real policy chops in this area. He’s out of his depth, and struggles when the subject takes center stage.
It’s not just that Romney is uninformed; it’s that he hasn’t figured out how to fake it.
Appearing on Andrea Mitchell Reports in April of that year, Romney surrogate and former Mississippi Gov. Haley Barbour was confronted by the MSNBC anchor. Calling Romney’s comments “a throwback to the Cold War,” Mitchell insisted that “we work with Russia all the time.” “Hardly an ally but certainly not an adversary,” she declared.

But the worst offender was one who should have, and likely did, know better, former Secretary of State Colin Powell. The former Army general greatly entertained his MSNBC hosts with some of the most snide commentary about Romney’s observation.

“Come on, Mitt. Think,” Powell said of Romney’s remark in May to the chuckles of host Joe Scarborough. “That isn’t the case.”

He went on to suggest that Romney’s assessment of the threat posed by Russia was so dubious that it was possible he was being disingenuous or he was coached to make that statement.

Sarah Palin Warned Everyone in 2008 That Russia Might Invade Ukraine if Barack Obama Wins Election

Townhall.com:
In October 2008, then-Republican VP candidate Sarah Palin warned that Putin, having been motivated by Obama's lack of response to the Russian invasion of Georgia, would proceed to invade Ukraine if then-Senator Obama was elected to the presidency.
After the Russian Army invaded the nation of Georgia, Senator Obama's reaction was one of indecision and moral equivalence, the kind of response that would only encourage Russia's Putin to invade Ukraine next.
Foreign Policy dismissed this warning as "strange" and "far-fetched."
As we've said before, this is an extremely far-fetched scenario. And given how Russia has been able to unsettle Ukraine's pro-Western government without firing a shot, I don't see why violence would be necessary to bring Kiev to heel.
Yesterday, Russia invaded the Crimean peninsula of Ukraine and seized control of two airports.
Seems as though Palin's prediction wasn't too far-fetched after all.

Vladimir Putin: Gays Are Welcome at Olympics as Long as They ‘Leave Kids Alone’

Of course, Putin's law against "the propaganda" of homosexuality amongst minors has always been pretty clear to everyone besides Godless liberals, gays and their advocates in the far-Left press, who have always had an amazing ability to twist the words of conservatives in order to fit their own agenda:
The Sochi Winter Olympics are just weeks away, and concerns about anti-gay laws in Russia are still at the forefront of people’s minds. President Vladimir Putin, naturally, wants to avoid much controversy when Russia is in the international spotlight, and Friday he spoke at a question-and-answer session, where one Olympic volunteer asked Putin about Russia’s anti-gay laws and how it would affect gay people attending the Olympic Games. Putin reportedly responded, “One can feel calm and at ease. Just leave kids alone, please.”

Putin insisted there is no explicit ban on acts of homosexual sex, there’s just a ban on gay “propaganda.”
“We have no ban on the nontraditional forms of sexual intercourse among people… We have the ban on the propaganda of homosexuality and pedophilia. I want to stress this: propaganda among minors. These are two absolutely different things: a ban on certain relations or the propaganda of such relations.”
Putin was also asked why Russia’s Olympic uniforms are rainbow-colored. His answer: “I didn’t design the uniform.”

When NBC is in Sochi to cover the Olympics, Bob Costas has said they won’t shy away from talking about the discriminatory laws, while President Obama, instead of going himself, is sending a delegation that includes openly gay athletes like Billie Jean King and Brian Boitano.

Gay MSNBC Anchor and Pageant Host Thomas Roberts Lies About Russia’s Gay Propaganda Law

Yet, another instance where a Godless, white, liberal lies to the public to suit his own agenda while attempting to disown and discredit anyone who dares to stand up to the Godless act that is homosexual. Russia's gay propaganda law does nothing more then protect kids from an unhealthy and unGodly, alternative, lifestyle choice. It lets homosexuality be an adult decision, instead of trying to normalize it like the gay mafia wants:
Openly gay MSNBC anchor Thomas Roberts made news last month when he announced he would be stepping in as host of the Miss Universe pageant held in Moscow, Russia. While that country’s anti-gay laws caused previous host Andy Cohen to step down, Roberts viewed the situation as an opportunity. “Courage is contagious,” he wrote. “This November, I will co-host Miss Universe in Moscow partly because it is a huge, visible opportunity for LGBT people. Everywhere.”

Roberts lived up to that promise, at least on the show’s red carpet Saturday, where he spoke out publicly against Russia’s “discriminatory” laws. “I know the law is very vague and still hard to interpret for many people,” Roberts said. “But it is discrimination and that’s definitive. And I don’t think that the LGBT population in Russia or anywhere should be marginalized to that degree.”

“We are not asking for special protection,” Roberts continued. “We’re just asking for equal respect.”

1st Gay President Barack Obama To Meet With Homosexual Activists In Russia

No surprise here. When it comes to taking care of the Godless "sexual minority" he's created, Barack Obama's priorities are always in order:
Lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender rights activists said Tuesday they have been invited to meet with President Barack Obama on the sidelines of this week's Group of 20 summit in Russia.

Obama and his administration have voiced concern over a law recently passed by Russia's parliament that targets "homosexual propaganda."

Igor Kochetkov of LGBT Network told The Associated Press that his organization will accept the invitation to meet with Obama in St. Petersburg on Thursday. The St. Petersburg-based advocacy group Coming Out said it also was invited but hasn't decided yet whether to go.

The White House would not comment on the meeting. However, Obama has frequently met with civil society groups when traveling abroad. In 2009, he met with a group of Russian rights activists while visiting Russia, but members of the LGBT community were not present then.

Russia Rejects the Homosexual Agenda

RenewAmerica.com:
Finally, a prominent nation is taking on the homosexual agenda and rejecting it outright. A number of African nations have done the same, but third-world countries are not newsworthy to mainstream media. Although recently, the President of Senegal (West Africa), Mackey Sall, was reported as rebuffing Barack Obama's haughty insistence that Senegalese embrace homosexuality.

The irony is stunning that a Communist nation would understand that preserving the value of men and women marrying and producing children makes for demographic survival, while many American Christian leaders cower in the shadows, in fear of activist homosexuals and their leftist supporters.

For any but the most rabidly liberal, the decision of Russian lawmakers is about as sensible as it gets. Adults can choose to act in whatever manner the culture in which they live allows. And a rotted culture allows many abominable behaviors. Children, on the other hand, are at the mercy of adults around them. They are mentally, physically, and emotionally unable to protect themselves.

The Russian law calls for protecting children (minors) from the indoctrination of adults who would use them for their own ends. It states that fines will be imposed on any who propagandize non-traditional sexual relations among minors through dissemination of information that encourages such relations. Additionally, acts of encouraging a distorted perception of equivalence between traditional and non-traditional sexual behavior is banned. The anti-God types, of course, are screaming "discrimination" and "anti-gay," their clarion call to gin up support and sympathy, but the Russians are having none of it. Thank God.

Everybody knows that part of the homosexual agenda in America, and every country in the world where the practice is pushed, is to indoctrinate the young to the lifestyle. If not to encourage the behavior as normal and to turn a few to practicing the lifestyle, at least to shape liberal perceptions of homosexuality in those young people when they become adults.

Liberal control of the American education system has seen to it that indoctrination to homosexual behavior runs from pre-school through university experience. Especially is this indoctrination aimed at young blacks, because blacks, on the whole (steeped in Christian teachings), are least likely to embrace the homosexual agenda. The deliberate destruction of the black family by the liberal left is part of the effort to change this thinking.

Another interesting development in events of late is the display of sheer hypocrisy by Barack Obama. He appeared on the Jay Leno Show and castigated the Russians for their stance on homosexuality. The architect of much of America's current moral decline insisted that he would not tolerate any country that does not give homosexuals the rights that he deems they should have. He even went so far as to refuse a meeting with Russia's Vladimir Putin (can we say "small minded"?).

Is anybody holding his breath to hear Obama call out the vast majority of Muslim nations, who adhere to Islam, on their stance on homosexuality? We all know that Obama is found of Muslims and Islam (not so much Christians and Judeo-Christianity), so it is unlikely anybody expects equal treatment from him.

Russia and other nations that will not cave to the homosexual agenda and rightfully protect their citizens from its influences, are not known for executing homosexuals. Muslim nations do execute them, and I am certain that Obama is aware of it.

One black minister, Bill Owens of the Coalition of African American Pastors (CAAP), in the group's newsletter, commented on the homosexual activists' response to Russia's decision. And by extension, on Obama's response.

"Friend, this response from the homosexual community is absurd. Since when does America have the right to force its immorality, depravity, and sin on another nation? We are currently witnessing the free fall of our nation. Over the past five years, we've moved from a super power position to a nation that is perceived to be weak and contemptible." (Bold emphasis in the original statement.)
I say "cheers" to the Russians on this one. That nation will probably outlive America.

John McCain Calls Obama An ‘Etch A Sketch Leader’ For 'Flexible' Comment

TheHill.com:
Sen. John McCain (R-Ariz.) ripped President Obama as "a real 'Etch a Sketch' leader" for suggesting he could switch his policy on missile defense after the election.

In the midst of an often tense discussion between the United States and Russia over plans for a U.S.-led NATO European missile defense system, Obama was heard asking Russian President Dmitry Medvedev for more time on the subject and promising he will have “more flexibility” following the election in November. The comments came across a live mic the two leaders did not appear to realize was on.

"Pres Obama tells Medvedev he'll be more "flexible" on missile defense - that's a real "Etch A Sketch" leader!" McCain tweeted on Monday.

McCain, who is backing Mitt Romney for president in the GOP primary, was referring to comments a Romney adviser made that the GOP presidential candidate could shift his messaging from the GOP primary to the general election like an Etch a Sketch.

Democrats and Republican opponents of Romney pounced on that comment, but Obama on Monday suggested he could also change his position on an issue — after the general election, not a primary.

The hawkish McCain, who is ranking member of the Senate Armed Services Committee, has often strongly disagreed with and sometimes personally exchanged barbs with Russia’s prime minister and now President-elect Vladimir Putin. Medvedev, in the overheard conversation, promised to convey Obama’s message to Putin.

Last week, an adviser to the Romney presidential campaign said Mitt Romney could “reset” with voters for the general election if he became the GOP nominee, much “like an Etch A Sketch.” The remark was used as fodder for Romney’s opponents who call him a “flip-flopper” who will “say anything to get elected,” regardless of whether it means changing positions on the issues.

Suicide Bomber Attacks Moscow Airport, Kills 35

Will anyone ever complain about being patted down or having to take their clothes off before flying after this happens? Terrorism remains as real as ever in this world, don't ever take that for granted:
Terrorists detonated a bomb at Moscow's busiest airport on Monday, killing 35 people and wounding another 152, Russian authorities said.

President Dmitry Medvedev, who called the bombing a terrorist attack, ordered additional security at Moscow's other airports and transportation hubs, and Moscow police went on high alert in case of additional bombs.

The explosion occurred about 4:30 p.m. at the entrance of the international arrivals section of Domodedovo Airport, Itar-Tass said, citing a spokeswoman for the Russian Investigative Committee, Tatyana Morozova.

State TV aired video of the smoke-filled terminal, including what appeared to be bodies and luggage on the ground.

The Russian National Anti-Terrorist Committee said 35 people were dead and 152 had been wounded in the explosion.

State TV, citing Russian authorities, said the bombing was the act of a suicide bomber who stuffed a homemade bomb with small metal objects to make it more deadly, then activated it in a crowded area where many people were either preparing for flights or waiting for arriving passengers. CNN could not independently verify those claims.
