Rich, Old, White, Pop Star Madonna Equates "Gay Rights" To Blacks Being Lynched

It was a gay (and lesbian) old time at the 24th annual Gay & Lesbian Alliance Against Defamation (GLAAD) Media Awards, where Madonna called for revolution, and NFL players, newscasters, “Jersey Shore” stars and Honey Boo Boo joined in the chant for civil rights.

Dressed in a faux Cub Scouts uniform bearing the number 13, Madonna stole the show in an 11-minute speech before urging the Boy Scouts of America “to change their stupid rules” of banning gay members.

She compared discrimination against homosexuals to white supremacists lynching black people in the Deep South and said, “I don’t know about you, but I can’t take this s— anymore. That’s why I want to start a revolution. Are you with me? It’s 2013. We live in America — the land of the free and home of the brave? That’s a question, not a statement.”

After being introduced by Madonna, Anderson Cooper took the stage to receive the Vito Russo Award for promoting equality. There, the Material Girl gave him a big hug, grabbed his butt, then tattooed him with big messy kisses that left the CNN anchorman wiping red lipstick from his mouth.

“I’ve had so many blessings in my life and being gay is certainly one of the greatest blessings,” said Cooper, thanking his boyfriend, Benjamin Maisani. “It has allowed me to love and to be loved.”

And not a single mainstream publication or "black" organization/institution will condemn these comments made by a mega-rich, white, anti-God, pop star who wouldn't know a thing about true discrimination faced on a daily basis by blacks and other minorities in this country, if it slapped her in the face, much less what our ancestors went through on the daily during the days of chattel slavery and Jim Crow laws.

Oh yeah, that's Anderson Cooper (above) planting a kiss on Madonna's lips. The irony of homosexuals claiming that they're "born that way" but yet have no problem being intimate with members the opposite sex is beyond funny to me.

Anderson Cooper Grills Debbie Wasserman-Schultz: Why Are You Lying About Romney’s Position on Abortion?

On Thursday night, Anderson Cooper in his “Keeping Them Honest” segment confronted Democratic National Committee Chair Debbie Wasserman Schultz for “misquoting” the Los Angeles Times in a fundraising email that sought to link Mitt Romney‘s abortion stance with Rep. Todd Akin‘s. Repeatedly challenging her assertions, Cooper asked her to acknowledge the incorrect quote. Schultz refused.
The email said the GOP “just voted to embrace Akin’s position by including a constitutional ban on all abortions — even in cases of rape or incest — in their 2012 platform.” Then, Cooper noted that Schultz calls out Romney and Paul Ryan for “saying they don’t entirely agree with that plank,” and moved on to the LA Times quote the email cited to back up the point:

“…but guess what? The Los Angeles Times reported yesterday that the platform was, and I quote, ‘written at the direction of Romney’s campaign.’”

While those quoted words did appear in the Times, Cooper said, they were taken “completely out of context.” For reference, the portion in question from the Times (emphasis mine on the quoted bit):

There is no doubt about who is in charge, of course. Delegates for presumptive nominee Mitt Romney are voting down substantive changes to the platform language that was written at the direction of Romney’s campaign. The biggest question is whether the tone remains polite, as it was at the outset of two days of deliberations, or whether dissenters spoil the image of harmony that the Romney campaign is working hard to produce.

Cooper argued that the email uses the quote to make a point that the original statement doesn’t suggest — and that the facts aren’t quite solid: “First, the abortion language in the 2012 platform, it hardly differs from the 2008 language and the 2004 language in the platform. That language obviously wasn’t written by the Romney campaign.” Second, Cooper said CNN’s Peter Hamby was in the room while the platform was being drafted, and Hamby said Romney advisers made a suggestions, but not on the abortion plan.

Turning to Schultz, Cooper confronted her with their attempts to tie the Romney/Ryan platform on abortion to Rep. Akin (given his recent controversy). He then asked whether she acknowledges that Romney does support abortion in cases of rape, incest and danger to the life of the mother. In response, Schultz fell back on her decided talking points, noting the need for voters to see the dramatic contrast between the two sides when it comes to women and their reproductive choices — and pointing to the GOP platform that makes no exceptions in its stance against abortion.

Cooper challenged her, reminding her that the email said the Romney campaign directed the writing of the platform. Factually speaking, he said, Romney did not design the abortion platform nor was it among the topics of suggestions the campaign made. 

Pressed further, Schultz acknowledged that Romney’s stance on the issue differs from his party’s platform, but she argued that he talks the talk and “certainly doesn’t walk the walk.” Upon her asserting that he’s “embraced his party’s platform,” Cooper again came back to the issue of the misquote — further egged on by Schultz’s nonchalant response: “It doesn’t matter.”

“It does,” he said. “I don’t understand why you would need to do that.”

After a bit more of Schultz driving her point about the contrast between the two candidates, Cooper asked whether she acknowledges that the quote in the email is “completely incorrect.”

“No, I don’t acknowledge that,” Schultz replied, adding that Romney “can’t separate himself” from the GOP platform. A visibly frustrated Cooper told her, “He has.”

Anderson Cooper Admits Choice Of Living UnGodly, Destructive, Morally Bankrupt Lifestyle That Is Homosexuality

Of course, most sane people were already well aware that CNN host Anderson Cooper chooses to engage in homosexual behavior. But after being egged on and practically forced to "come out" by insane pundit/gay activist Andrew Sullivan, Cooper finally chose to let the world know that he leads a destructive lifestyle in his personal life:

Anderson Cooper revealed on Monday that he is gay, ending years of reluctance to talk about his personal life in public.

The CNN journalist wrote in an online letter that he had kept his sexual orientation private for personal and professional reasons, but came to think that remaining silent had given some people a mistaken impression that he was ashamed.

"The fact is, I'm gay, always have been, always will be, and I couldn't be any more happy, comfortable with myself and proud," he wrote in the letter, published by Andrew Sullivan of the Daily Beast.

Cooper, the son of Gloria Vanderbilt, had long been the subject of rumors about his sexual orientation. He said that in a perfect world, it wouldn't be anyone's business, but that there is value in "standing up and being counted."

"I still consider myself a reserved person and I hope this doesn't mean an end to a small amount of personal space," he wrote. "But I do think visibility is important, more important than preserving my reporter's shield of privacy."

CNN said it would not comment, and that Cooper was on assignment and there were no plans for Cooper to discuss it on the air.

Few national television news reporters have publicly acknowledged being gay, with MSNBC's Rachel Maddow and CNN's Don Lemon perhaps the best known.

Mind you, Cooper's "coming out" party shouldn't change the way conservatives and Christians feel about how he goes about his job. Unlike many of his gay peers in the media, Cooper doesn't seem to have any interest in using his lifestyle choice as a means to hop on the radical, leftwing bandwagon and dismiss journalistic professionalism for liberal lies and propaganda (in the letter for his "coming out party" Cooper made a point to note that he is “not an activist"). True Christians and most conservatives know that homosexuality is an unGodly lifestyle choice, but I doubt that Cooper (whose work has gotten his fair share of praise from both the Left and the Right) will bow to pressure from the Gay Mafia to abandon journalistic integrity. However, homosexuality will and always be a sin and it's kind of sad that Cooper, a likeable and goodlooking guy who could probably get any woman he wants, would allow his savage lust to willingly ignore God's will.

Bill O’Reilly Weighs In On Anderson Cooper/Ed Schultz Feud: ‘If You Give Gutter Snipes Publicity, They Win’

The cable news primetime triumvirate has now completely weighed in on Ed Schultz‘s position in GQ‘s “Least Influential People Alive of 2011” list. Bill O’Reilly started off his “Reality Check” segment tonight with the news of Schultz blaming Anderson Cooper for the article, ending with a bit of open-ended advice: “if you give gutter snipes publicity, they win.”


O’Reilly began the segment by noting that both CNN and MSNBC were “way behind FNC,” and that while MSNBC has attacked opponents in “vile, unprofessional ways,” CNN “usually stays above the fray.” Explaining the situation– that Schultz “apparently believes that CNN’s Anderson Cooper is behind a column in GQ magazine that mocks Schultz”– O’Reilly corrected Schultz’s claim that he crushes Cooper in the ratings, and played Cooper’s response.


He then gave his two cents, not taking any sides, but offering his experience: “I leanred the hard way with Al Franken that if you give gutter snipes publicity, they win.”

Anderson Cooper Gives Bill Maher An Unchallenged Platform To Trash GOP Slate

Just when you thought Anderson was a non-partisan, straight-shooter with both sides of the political aisle he lets a leftist, smear machine with a bitter hatred for Republicans like Bill Maher get away unscathed during this interview:

Anderson Cooper is a smart guy. He seems to know that his role in delivering news is to stay as unbiased as possible, even at the risk of sometimes being a tad bland. How, then, does Cooper host an entertaining news show? Invite on a fearless provocateur whose stock-in-trade is delivering barbed assaults on those whom he deems to be his intellectual inferiors, mostly those of the Republican stripe. Someone like Bill Maher, who, last night, ruthlessly blasted the Republican candidates on display during CNN’s GOP debate.


In the segment embedded below, Maher ruthlessly slammed nearly every GOP candidate who participated in the debate this week, and even found room to deride those who did not participate, calling Sarah Palin a “ditz,” for example. He did find time to laud Ron Paul to some degree, saying that he was the one candidate that he could get behind, but for the most part he mercilessly blasted, not just every other participant, but the entire affair.


Cooper is, without question, the face of CNN, a role which he seems not only relish and take seriously, but has earned him the respect of his peers. In fact, this site has often cited Cooper’s excellent reportage (particularly in areas of conflict and disaster) as well as his often smart and insightful segment called “Keeping Them Honest,” which regularly holds accountable false accounts or irresponsible hyperbole.


But should CNN really be that comfortable with the “face” of their network giving such an unchallenged platform to such a biased commentator? Wouldn’t it be more fair to at least have someone to rebut his point of view, or to add a different perspective? Put another way, how often has Cooper had on, as guest, Maher’s equivalent on the right, say his old pal Ann Coulter, who appears to take a similar approach to Maher’s in the business of outrage? Yes, we are aware that Coulter has appeared on AC360, but the tone of those discussions appear very different than the amused and convivial conversations that Cooper shares with Maher. Just keeping them honest.

Anderson Cooper Takes On Democratic Steve Cohen Who Compared GOP “Lies” To Nazis

Rep. Steve Cohen (D-TN) recently stirred up a controversy when he inexplicably voiced his frustration with Republican opposition to health care reform by injecting Joseph Goebbels and Nazis into the conversation. Tonight, Cohen appeared on Anderson Cooper 360 to face up to, but not back down from, his remarks – remarks Cooper was clearly none too happy about.


Cooper – rightly, in our eyes – seemed mystified above all else by Cohen’s insistence on the Nazi talk: “I just don’t understand why you have to bring the Nazis into a discussion about health care and your opponents.” Amazingly, Cohen still didn’t seem to see what the fuss was about, even as Cooper pointed out the hypocrisy in making Nazi references when Cohen himself had just penned an op-ed in which he said things like, “Reckless and hateful speech often has a terrible human cost.”


And Cooper didn’t stop there, citing comments Cohen made last year in which he likened the anger of Tea Partiers to the KKK. He tried to justify these remarks by saying the Tea Party and KKK rose to prominence is similar circumstances, not unlike how he tried to compare Republican methods in telling “lies” to Goebbels’ strategy in Nazi Germany. Cooper tried to shoot the KKK comparison down by pointing out the Tea Party could just as easily be compared to “any populist movement.”


Cohen again tried to make himself look better by saying Politifact (not him) that named the idea of a “government takeover of health care” as the lie of 2010. Cooper continued banging his head against the wall trying to get Cohen to realize what he was doing, but Cohen simply concluded, “I won’t say it again, but I was right.”

Anderson Cooper Nails Rep. Alan Grayson Over Misleading ‘Taliban Dan’ Campaign Ad

By now, pretty much everybody discredits and disdains the ‘Taliban Dan’ ad commissioned by Rep. Alan Grayson. Well, everybody except for Alan Grayson, who’s still defending his attack ad on cable news networks. The Democratic congressman first took his case to MSNBC’s unconvinced Contessa Brewer, and last night he visited Anderson Cooper, who was also tough on him. Cooper plainly accuses Grayson of misrepresenting his Republican opponent Daniel Webster, saying, “You can’t argue that.” The wily Grayson responded: “I don’t know why you keep saying I can’t argue this, that, or the other thing.”


The Florida congressman tells Cooper that his intent was “to point out in a vivid way that [Daniel Webster] is someone with an 18th Century name and a 13th Century conception of how women should live in America.” Cooper points out that Grayson had to twist words and edit footage to make his point, to which Grayson responds:

I don’t agree with that. … I’ve seen that speech, and I think that [my ad] reflects exactly what his conception of women actually are.

Cooper then cited the basic tenets of ethical journalism:

We wouldn’t be allowed to do that in news. What gives you the right to do that when you’re trying to get people’s votes?

But the unapologetic Grayson claims that “we’ve moved away from the whole subject of whether he was quoted in context or out of context,” as if it only takes a week for someone to get over being accused of being a Taliban sympathizer on national television. Cooper, too, found this to be disingenuous.

Alan Grayson is scum, any person who votes for this man should be slapped.

Democrat Rep. Eddie Bernice Johnson Requested Scholarship Money Be Sent Directly To Family Members

Texas Democratic Congresswoman Eddie Bernice Johnson (CD-30) answered questions on Anderson Cooper's AC360 Thursday night regarding the thousands of dollars in Congressional Black Caucus scholarships she had awarded to her relatives. Giving the scholarships to her relatives violated both the anti-nepotism rule and the rule stating that the recipients of the scholarships must live in a district of a Congressional Black Caucus member, which none of the relatives awarded scholarships did.


Rep E. B. Johnson repeatedly claims, "I haven't seen those rules." But how could she have been the chair of the foundation in 2002 and not seen the rules? Another excuse that has become popular for her to use is: had there been more "very worthy applicants in my district" then "I probably wouldn’t have given it" to the relatives. Yet, there are "very worthy" students in her district that applied for the scholarship and were rejected that are starting to speak out.

Clearly this is Sarah Palin, Glenn Beck and the Tea Party's fault.

Anderson Cooper Apologizes For Not Pushing Shirley Sherrod On Breitbart Slavery Comment

In an interview with CNN’s Anderson Cooper last week, ousted USDA official Shirley Sherrod accused Andrew Breitbart of racism and supporting a return to slavery. On Thursday night, Cooper apologized to his audience for not questioning that claim and letting her “get away with saying things which cannot be supported by facts.”

In the opening of a segment regarding Sherrod, Cooper noted that it had been one week since his interview with her and, watching the video again, he realized he had let the comments slip by unnoticed. The comments were clearly offensively to Breitbart, who brought them up when asked by Newsweek whether he would apologize to her. Cooper apologized for letting the comment slip and promised that it wouldn’t happen again:

“In the course of that interview, I failed to do something that I should have. I believe in admitting my mistakes… She, of course, is free to believe whatever she wants, but I didn’t challenge her that night, and I should have. I don’t want anyone on my show to get away with saying things which cannot be supported by facts. I should have challenged her on what facts she believe support that accusation. That’s my job, and I didn’t do it very well in that interview, and I’m sorry about it. If I get the chance to talk to her again, I will.”

Shocking, but much respect to Cooper for admitting his screw-up, it's certainly something a certain MSNBC host would never do.

Anderson Cooper Smacks Down Alan Grayson's Use Of Race Card

It was by no means surprising to see Rep. Alan Grayson (D-Fla.) come down harshly on the Florida doctor who posted a sign in his office telling Obama supporters to seek care elsewhere.

What was somewhat shocking was seeing CNN's Anderson Cooper take on Grayson Friday evening when the Congressman accused Dr. Jack Cassell of being racist.

"What he is doing is no different from saying I will not treat a black person," amazingly stated Grayson.

Cooper surprisingly didn't agree

Woah, good for Anderson Cooper! To think maybe this kind of fair reporting on the issues could help CNN with their plummeting ratings.

Surely, conservatives recall when the condescending prick that is Anderson Cooper mocked the anti-tax tea bagging protests with his "It's hard to talk when you're teabagging" line on air last month. Well, it's good to know that Cooper has now officially joined the long list of biased, anti-conservative nutjobs pretending to be objective journalists that no one wants to watch:

SINCE President Obama took office in January, CNN has seen its ratings drop. And one reason has to do with Campbell Brown. The host of "No Bias, No Bull" has been on maternity leave for the past month, and in her absence, the show with substitute host Roland Martin has nose-dived. Sources say he has complained the network doesn't promote him enough or book him high-profile guests.

But the biggest disappointment has been the cable channel's big, silver-haired hope, Anderson Cooper.

The former host of "Celebrity Mole" should be happy he signed a multimillion-dollar, multiyear contract with CNN last year during the presidential race, when ratings were at an all-time high. If his contract were up now, Cooper would probably have to settle for far less.

The ratings have plunged for his show, "Anderson Cooper 360," since Obama's inauguration, and the drop in May has been steeper, especially in the coveted 25-54 demographic, where he's down nearly 30 percent from the previous month, averaging less than 250,000 demo viewers.

Tuesday night, Cooper raked in only 615,000 viewers overall. But it wasn't his slowest night ever -- that was May 8, when he clocked in a lousy 499,000 viewers.
