Democrat Senator Mark Warner Says Far-Left MoveOn Group "Doesn't Compromise"

It's something Jon Stewart bravely pointed out (to the ire of many of the Left) at his recent "Rally To Restore the Sanity" rally, to the ire of many on the Left: the extreme wings in both parties constantly engage in bitter and hateful fearmonegring that does nothing to benefit the lives of Americans as a whole, each refusing to compromise...yet, it's always the Left that refuses to own up to their thuggery. Wonder why.

Liberal Democrats Backtrack On David Petraeus, Man They Once Accused Of Being A 'Liar'

President Barack Obama’s nomination of Gen. David Petraeus has put some Democrats in a politically awkward position.

While Senate Democrats are expected to rally behind Petraeus to replace Gen. Stanley McChrystal as the top commander in Afghanistan, they must also ask tough questions about when the U.S. will withdraw troops from the war-torn country.

Many on the left are impatient with the Afghanistan war, and some Democrats are nervous much of their base may not show up to vote in this year’s midterm elections.

Meanwhile, Republicans who are looking to drive a wedge between Democratic leaders and the liberal base have pointed to critical statements Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid (D-Nev.) and other leaders made about Petraeus a couple of years ago.

During the 2007 surge in Iraq, anti-war Democrats — most notably MoveOn.org — strongly criticized Petraeus.

Liberal advocacy groups and senators at the time accused Petraeus of misrepresenting the success of the surge of nearly 40,000 troops.

Two years later, the four-star general is widely credited for turning around the war in Iraq and holds strong respect among Republicans. And Obama’s decision to replace McChrystal was made easier by his selection of Petraeus, who is expected to be confirmed swiftly.

They're own words are forcing folks to expose them for the hypocrites they are.

These hypocrites have no shame, none whatsoever:

The Democrat-media complex has been pushing the idea that patriotic nonviolent resistance and opposition to ObamaCare and President Obama’s drive to turn America into a full-blown socialist state somehow constitutes “hate.”

Leftists keep trying to invent new incidents supposedly showing how their political adversaries in the Tea Party movement are sinister racists.

They claim –in the absence of proof– that black Democratic lawmakers were called the N-word as they walked to the U.S. Capitol building to vote on ObamaCare. They claim –in the absence of proof– that an anti-gay epithet was hurled at Rep. Barney Frank (D-Mass.), an openly gay lawmaker.

It is an indisputable fact that the violence America is beginning to see is almost exclusively on the left, whether it’s a deranged registered Democrat flying his plane into a federal building in Austin, Texas, or a progressive coward calling in a death threat against a Republican lawmaker.

It is all part of the left’s push to delegitimize opposition to the socialist takeover of America. If you oppose the murder-in-progress of the American republic you are smeared as a redneck, teabagging, racist obstacle to progress — and you deserve what’s coming to you.

So it’s not surprising that the street theater specialists at MoveOn.org are planning to host a propaganda event tomorrow intended to reinforce this false notion that Constitution-loving pro-limited government enthusiasts are eeeevil haters.

The leftist thugs at MoveOn plan to hold a rally outside Republican National Committee headquarters in Washington, D.C. to urge the Republican Party to distance itself from the alleged “hate” caused by the passage of ObamaCare.

Of course, the left, and in particular the George Soros-led character assassins at Media Matters for America (I mean you, Jamison Foser, Eric Boehlert, and Terry Krepel) are largely responsible for the civil unrest that is growing across America. Anyone who supported ObamaCare is responsible for the tide of discontent that now threatens to tear the nation apart.

Wouldn't it something if an even stronger group of conservatives showed up tomorrow and told these hypocrites where to stick it.

The Senate passed the Jon Cornyn amendment condemning the MoveOn.org ad that called General David Petraeus a liar and potential traitor, 72-25. All 25 Senators who voted in support of these smears against an American military commander that they unanimously promoted to four stars came from the Democratic Party. It includes two declared presidential candidates and the top leadership of the Senate Democratic Caucus.

Good News For Tom DeLay

Senator DeLay gets MoveOn. judge removed:

WASHINGTON -- Former House Majority Leader Tom DeLay won the first skirmish in his conspiracy and money laundering case today when a Texas judge was removed from presiding over the trial after DeLay's attorneys showed he has been a significant financial contributor to Democratic causes.District Judge Robert Perkins of Travis County, Texas, was removed at the close of a hearing in the state capital in Austin when a separate Texas district judge, brought out of retirement, ruled that Perkins' history of making 34 donations in the last five years to Democratic candidates and organizations suggested he would not be impartial in hearing the trial of the Republican member of Congress.

The visiting judge, C.W. Duncan, made the ruling without explanation. It now sets up the appointment of a new judge to preside over the trial. Under court rules, neither DeLay's lawyers nor state prosecutors can make recommendations on the selection of Perkins' replacement.Travis County Dist. Atty. Ronnie Earle, himself a Democrat who brought a series of grand jury indictments against DeLay and several of his Republican associates, had sought to keep Perkins on the case.

Earle viewed Perkins as fair, and not one to allow his political leanings to dictate his handling of the upcoming high-profile trial.Borrowing a line from Shakespeare, he said DeLay's complaint that Perkins would side against him was "much ado about nothing."Earle's assistant, prosecutor Rick Reed, argued at the hearing that there was no apparent "reasonable doubt that the judge is impartial."But Dick DeGuerin, DeLay's chief attorney, said in a telephone interview from Texas after the ruling that even in a state where judges are elected and may make political contributions, it just seemed improper for a judge who gave so much money — $5,585 — to federal and state Democratic candidates and causes to hear the case.

"There's no question he's very partisan," DeGuerin said. "In most cases, that wouldn't matter. But when partisan politics is what this case is all about, it doesn't look right for the judge to be on the opposite side of the person who is accused. That's as plain as the nose on your face." Perkins had sought to hang on to the job overseeing the trial. But legal papers filed last month by DeGuerin showed the judge consistently sent money to Democratic coffers, including contributions to the 2004 Democratic presidential nominee, John Kerry, and the Democratic advocacy group, MoveOn.org.

Despite the fact that Tom DeLay is clearly getting railroaded by Texas Dems still upset by DeLay's help in getting George W. Bush four more years, the fact that DeLay's fate might've rested in the hands of a judge who contributed money to that insane, Leftist-propaganda machine known as MoveOn, added clear insult to injury.

The decision by Judge Duncan was the right one because it makes sure that Tom DeLay gets a fair trial and no matter which side of the political fence you stand on, if you truly believe in democracy, you'd want DeLay to at least have that.
