Impeached Former President Bill Clinton Lies Yet Again

In defending the other half of Billary Inc., Bill Clinton, the dumbest President in my lifetime, gets it backwards yet again:

Bill Clinton has criticized the press over its coverage of Hillary Clinton’s Bosnia visit flap, saying reporters treated her as if “she’d robbed a bank.”

Hillary acknowledged two weeks ago that she "misspoke" and "made a mistake" when she said she landed under sniper fire during a 1996 visit to war-torn Bosnia.

Speaking to a gathering in Indiana, which holds its primary on May 6, the former president said:

“There was a lot of fulminating because Hillary, one time late at night when she was exhausted, misstated — and immediately apologized for it — what happened to her in Bosnia…

"What really has mattered is that even then she was interested in our troops. And I think she was the first first lady since Eleanor Roosevelt to go into a combat zone. And you woulda thought, you know, that she'd robbed a bank the way they carried on about this. And some of them, when they're 60, they'll forget something when they're tired at 11 at night, too."

According to politico.com, CBS News producer Ryan Corsaro pointed out that Hillary made the sniper fire claim in mid-morning on St. Patrick's Day, and CBS has aired videotape of Clinton making the claim on at least two other occasions.

As for the Eleanor Roosevelt assertion, Pat Nixon traveled to Vietnam in 1969.

Hillary LIED about Bosnia at least three different times, that's not a misstep, that's what you do when you're losing and become desperate. She used Bosnia to talk up her supposed "foreign policy experience" and she got caught in a lie the same way her husband did about Monica. When you're running for a chance to be President of the United States, make repeated lies about facing "sniper fire" in Bosnia to build up your resume and diss our troops all at the same time, it's going to get noticed. Deal with it.

CBS To Finally Let Katie Couric Go?

This reminds me of those horrible deals some baseball owners make, signing mediocre pitchers who had like one great season to longterm deals and then the deal immediately goes bust due to injury or the fact that they were never that good in the first place. Except that Katie Couric never had one good season before the dumb suits at CBS signed her to that ludicrous $65million deal, so they have no one to blame but themselves for the fact that Couric, whose gotten by on her looks and gender for her entire career, has been a miserable failure at their network:

After two years of record-low ratings, both CBS News executives and people close to Katie Couric say that the "CBS Evening News" anchor is likely to leave the network well before her contract expires in 2011 -- possibly soon after the presidential inauguration early next year.

Ms. Couric isn't even halfway through her five-year contract with CBS, which began in June 2006 and pays an annual salary of around $15 million. But CBS executives are under pressure to cut costs and improve ratings for the broadcast, which trails rival newscasts on ABC and NBC by wide margins.

Her departure would cap a difficult episode for CBS, which brought Ms. Couric to the network with considerable fanfare in a bid to catapult "Evening News" back into first place. Excluding several weeks of her tenure, Ms. Couric never bested the ratings of interim anchor Bob Schieffer, who was named to host the broadcast temporarily after "Evening News" anchor Dan Rather left the newscast in the wake of a discredited report on George W. Bush's National Guard service.

If this turns out to be true, all I have to say is good riddance, but hey with all those millions at her disposal at least Couric won't have any problem staying perky.

Democrat Klansman Robert Byrd Refuses To Leave Committee

The 90-year-old geezer from West Virginia showing the same resolve as he probably did burning crosses on Black folks lawns back in the day:

WASHINGTON — West Virginia Sen. Robert Byrd isn't going gently into any good night, despite reports that 15 Senate Democrats have been talking privately about deposing the Senate Appropriations Committee chairman.

Byrd, 90, has been in and out of the hospital in recent weeks and missed a series of votes before the Spring recess.

That has led, according to Roll Call newspaper, to several senators holding "the first of what's likely to be several private discussions" about whether Byrd can handle his duties as the head of the most powerful committee on Capitol Hill — especially at a time when annual appropriations get into full gear.

Liberals Smear John McCain And Wife With 'Cunt' Allegation

An admittedly left-wing partisan hack by the name of Cliff Schecter claims he heard from three "reporters from Arizona", who spoke on the "condition of anonymity", that GOP nominee called his wife a "cunt" while campaigning for Senator back in 1992. Of course, with that much credibility at Schecter's disposal, the story must, in fact, be true:

John McCain's defenders are blasting a new biography that claims the White House hopeful once hurled the most vile of epithets at his wife, Cindy.

Democratic strategist Cliff Schecter claims in "The Real McCain" that the presumptive GOP nominee uttered the shocking slur in front of aides and reporters while campaigning for the senate in 1992.

"At one point, Cindy playfully twirled McCain's hair and said, 'You're getting a little thin up there,'" Schecter writes. "McCain's face reddened, and he responded, 'At least I don't plaster on the makeup like a trollop, you [bleep].'"

McCain spokeswoman Jill Hazelbaker brands the book "trash journalism" and tells us, "The story is completely fabricated."

No names. No evidence. No smoking gun. But the loons run with the story anyway because it feeds their need to embellish Senator McCain's supposedly horrible temper. Of course these same fools get mad as hell when Dems smear fellow Dems, but if it's a guy in the other party, then it's ok.

A FATHER and daughter who have revealed they are couple and have a child together had another baby who died a few days after birth from a congenital heart disease, court documents show.

John Earnest Deaves and his daughter Jennifer Anne Deaves are at the centre of an incest scandal in South Australia over their seven-year relationship. The pair revealed their relationship on Channel 9's 60 Minutes program last night, saying they were just asking for some respect and understanding.

In March this year, they were placed on three-year good behaviour bonds after pleading guilty to two counts of incest. District Court sentencing judge Steven Millsteed said the first count of incest was based on an act of sexual intercourse which resulted in the birth of the couple's first child. The second count of incest related to an act of sexual intercourse which resulted in the birth of their second child in May last year.

Charlton Heston R.I.P.

Actor Charlton Heston died at Beverly Hills home at the age of 84 Saturday, his family said.

Heston, known for portrayals of larger than life figure including Moses and Ben Hur, was suffering the late stages of Alzheimer's Disease.

Heston's wife of 64 years, Lydia, was by his side at the time of his death, according to the family statement.

Heston is survived by a son, a daughter and three grandchildren.

"We knew him as an adoring husband, a kind and devoted father, and a gentle grandfather, with an infectious sense of humor," the family said. "He served these far greater roles with tremendous faith, courage and dignity. He loved deeply, and he was deeply loved."

Like many others I'll mostly remember Charlton Heston for what a great actor he was, especially his classic role as Moses in the epic "Ten Commandments" flick, which I first saw when I was like 7 or 8. But unfortunately others (mostly on the Left) will recall Heston for his role as leader of the NRA, which made him an enemy for life to many of the loons. In turn, many of libs were more than happy to see Heston get bullied by the unscrupulous Michael Moore in the ruthless, propaganda-fest "Bowling For Columbine". Heston (who was suffering from Alzheimer's at the time) sat down for a 15-minute interview (which was later heavily edited for the flick) with Moore that made him look incoherent and borderline racist--the interview was so bad that Heston gets up and walks away in a confused manner. Yeah, as George Clooney (who once joked that Heston "deserved to have Alzheimer's") can certainly attest to, revenge is sweet when you're a left-wing lunatic.

But Moore and the rest of the morally bankrupt Left wouldn't dare mention the fact that Heston, a longtime political activist, was one of the first Hollywood actors to publicly oppose racial segregation, or that he marched with Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. or that Heston helped to organize boycotts of Hollywood restaurants that wouldn't serve blacks during the Civil rights era. Indeed, in his later years Heston, a former Democrat, would later join the GOP and take on roles that even rattled me (such as his opposition to affirmative action), but that still doesn't take away from the fact he was an icon both on and off the big screen.
