Faux Conservative S.E. Cupp: If Chris Christie Is Involved in ‘Bridge-Gate,’ He Should ‘Resign Now’

Sounding more and more like that idiot Meghan McCain by the minute:

Via the Daily Caller, are we at this point so soon? The story about his deputy’s e-mails broke this morning; he put out the requisite shock-and-disappointment statement a few hours ago; and now here’s a righty pundit already dropping the R-bomb on him, albeit conditionally. Half the Republicans I follow on Twitter are rolling their eyes that anyone in the media could be so exercised about petty hardball played by local politicians, especially when Bob Gates is busy accusing the president of the United States of sending men to die in a war he never believed in. Christie’s not in any imminent danger.

But look — at this point, given his emphatic denials that he had anything to do with the lane closings, what’s the alternative to resigning if a smoking gun emerges proving that he did? He’s not going to stand at the podium, cop to having lied baldfaced to the world about his role in punishing the public in order to retaliate against a political enemy, and then say, “Oh well, see you tomorrow.” His whole shtick is that he’s a straight talker who tells the truths that more polished politicians are too afraid to tell. He can’t admit to having lied to protect himself and then go back to business as usual. So what’s the alternative to resignation if he gets caught red-handed? Which, I guess, is another way of saying that the odds of him getting caught red-handed are verrry low or else his denials wouldn’t be so emphatic. If he was involved, the way this was done, I assume, is Christie telling a close aide to make it happen and then the aide telling Kelly to make it happen. That gives him plausible deniability. No paper trail, no muss, no fuss. At worst, if Kelly turns on him and claims that she’s confident the order came from Christie himself, he’ll dismiss it as fingerpointing by a bad employee who’s eager to rehabilitate her rep by telling the media what it wants to hear. He wouldn’t go all-in on denials if he had reason to believe he was exposed.

As for the rest of the clip, where Cupp teases out a scenario in which Christie resigns, becomes a martyr to his supporters for doing so(?), and then rebounds by running for president anyway, I don’t know what to tell you except that Tapper’s green room must include a mini-bar. Any pol who would abuse his power for such petty, egotistical reasons, lie about it repeatedly, and then actually step down in disgrace isn’t going to be considered for the most powerful job in the world. Especially when a big chunk of his own party’s base already disdains him.

Avowed Atheist S.E. Cupp Pushes For Conservatives To Accept Gay Adoption

It's amazing that more conservatives don't call out Cupp (a so-called "conservative" who gets her paycheck from a decidedly liberal, cable news network) for her belief that God doesn't exist, esp when she spouts liberal nonsense. Dogma is important in establishing one's roots, esp. when it comes to political commentary. Cupp is an avowed atheist who is constantly attempting to pull conservatives to the Left (ala Megan McCain) on social conservative issues (she also supports "gay marriage"). In other words listening to Cupp speak on social conservative issues is like listening to someone who calls themselves a "vegetarian" spouting the benefits of eating Kentucky Fried Chicken....you can't and shouldn't take them seriously:

On Tuesday, MSNBC host and New York Daily News columnist S.E. Cupp addressed what she thinks is a deficiency in the conservative political platform relating to issues relating to the promotion of life and parenthood: support for adoption rights. Cupp said that the GOP would be well served to aggressively support the right of all parents, both straight and gay, to adopt legally. She said this is both a “moral imperative” and “good politics.”


Cupp began her segment on MSNBC’s The Cycle highlighting the values promoted by the A&E reality program Duck Dynasty. She said that this show counters the values elevated by other reality shows that promote teen pregnancy and promiscuity. 

“It’s a series that should be applauded for its moral fortitude and honesty,” Cupp opined. “It made me realize that the pro-life movement has been missing something and Republicans have dropped the ball.”

She said that the pro-life and conservative political movements need to make celebrating and reducing the barriers to legal adoption a top priority. 

“While it’s right and important that we oppose the liberal Planned Parenthood abortion agenda, we haven’t offered women a compelling alternative with a strident voice,” she continued. 

“We also have to embrace gay adoption,” Cupp declared. “This will not be comfortable, but it is morally imperative. It’s also good politics at a time when it seems the abortion conversation is fraught with so many perils and pitfalls for conservative politicians.” 

“We should want every child to be born into loving homes,” Cupp said. “The loving homes are there, ready, and waiting. Let’s make this a top priority.”

S.E. Cupp: ‘Ann Romney Is Lying, They Are Not Looking At Women’ To Be Romney’s Vice President

The four hosts of MSNBC’s The Cycle appeared with anchor Thomas Roberts on Friday where each host weighed in with their updated rankings for who they think will be Mitt Romney’s vice presidential pick. Co-host S.E. Cupp was asked who she thought the most likely female potential vice president would be given Ann Romney’s suggestion that the campaign was seriously considering a woman. “Ann Romney is lying,” said Cupp. “They are not looking at women. They are not going to pick a woman candidate. There is just no way.”


Roberts first asked co-host Krystal Ball for her vice presidential choice. Ball said that she thinks Romney needs to present himself as a “non-offensive alternative to the president.” In her estimation, that moves former Minnesota Gov. Tim Pawlenty to the top of the pack. She said that while Ohio Sen. Rob Portman is still a strong choice, “he carries a lot of baggage having been with the Bush administration and the budget.”


Touré said that while he things Portman is the most likely pick, he would have to presume Ayotte would have to be the strongest female contender if, as Ann Romney said, the campaign is considering a woman to be their vice presidential nominee. Touré said he believes that New Hampshire Sen. Kelly Ayotte could help “winnow the gender gap which his huge – which is going to be hugely problematic for Romney.”


Cupp said Ann Romney was lying when she said the campaign is vetting a woman as their potential vice president. Portman represents the pick most likely to “do no harm,” in Cupp’s estimation, but Pawlenty could also end up as the Romney camp’s choice because he is “actually pretty likable” on the stump.


Finally, co-host Steve Kornacki said he believes that there is such a thing as a “courtesy vet” as a way of saying thank you to key supporters who have no chance of joining the nominee on the presidential ticket. He warned that history has shown the names that are on all the pundit’s lips are often proven incorrect when the final vice presidential choice is announced.

‘Hustler’ Magazine Runs Fake Explicit Photo of Conservative Journalist S.E. Cupp

This from the side that Barack Obama caters to and pals around with. Let's only hope that Ms. Cupp sues:

New York Daily News columnist S.E. Cupp is the subject of a tasteless photoshop job in a recent print issue of Hustler Magazine. The image below depicts Cupp engaging in a sexual act under the headline “celebrity fantasy.”

The piece in Hustler is accompanied by a disclaimer that makes it clear no image of Cupp performing this act exists and this image is for intended for “fantasy” purposes.

No such picture of S.E. Cupp actually exists. This composite fantasy is altered from the original for our imagination, does not depict reality, and is not to be taken seriously for any purpose.

I suppose there is room for this to be interpreted as a measure of flattery. After all, Hustler goes so far as to describe Cupp as a “celebrity.” That’s about where the flattery ends.

The Hustler piece veers into politics and reflects a lack of understanding on the intricacies of Cupp’s political philosophy and her career as a pundit. But, as the image above depicts, notable commentary on politics is really not what they do:

S.E. Cupp is a lovely young lady who read too much Ayn Rand in high school and ended up joining the dark side. Cupp, an author and media commentator who often shows up on Fox News programs, is undeniably cute. But her hotness is diminished when she espouses dumb ideas like defunding Planned Parenthood. Perhaps the method pictured here is Ms. Cupp’s suggestion for avoiding an unwanted pregnancy.

Are there a shortage of young women these days willing to “model” for Hustler that they have to Photoshop conservative pundits? If so, perhaps Cupp’s philosophy is winning the day and there is hope for the future.

Perhaps the saddest display of inaccuracy in this piece is that they say Cupp regularly appears on “Fox News programs.” She does, but only occasionally – she appears with far more frequency on MSNBC. For being such fans of Cupp, one would think Hustler’s editorial staff would invest a few minutes to learn about her career before putting words or anything else in her mouth.

UPDATE: Cupp called into Glenn Beck‘s radio program and issued a statement on the controversy. “It will be out there forever,” said Cupp. “The fact that I work very hard and I’m an ivy league educated woman with a pretty good job doesn’t matter when you look at a photo like this.” 

She wondered whether there would be significant outrage if this magazine had done something similar to Rep. Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) or First Lady Michelle Obama. Cupp said that Hustler’s honesty, saying they disagree with her politically and therefore she deserves a phallus in her mouth, was refreshing.

S.E. Cupp Battles Joy Behar and Jerry Springer Over Defunding Planned Parenthood

Conservative author S.E. Cupp must have felt like she was getting tag-teamed Wednesday when she opted to go on the "Joy Behar Show" along side Jerry Springer.

The trio debated a number of issues including the Bush tax cuts, but the debate really got heated when the host brought up the Republican desire to defund Planned Parenthood

It really is funny how liberals don't understand the concept of money being fungible.


Taxpayers opposed to federally funded abortions have absolutely no certainty that money supposedly going to Planned Parenthood for procedures other than abortions don't end up directly or indirectly doing exactly what it's not legally allowed to.


Beyond this, many Americans are offended by their tax dollars going to the other services that PP offers including for example birth control. Between Medicaid and the various free clinics all around the country, the poor in this nation have access to all kinds of options without there being a federally-sponsored organization that is also responsible for one abortion every 95 seconds.

When conservative atheist S. E. Cupp and liberal atheist Bill Maher get together on the same stage, it's a metaphysical certitude they're going to fight about religion.


Following up on their last heated theological battle on the May 14 installment of HBO's "Real Time," Cupp and Maher went at it again on Friday this time over Glenn Beck's decision to become a Mormon after he got remarried.


Not surprisingly, Maher thought it was absurd Beck and his soon to be bride decided to "shop around for religion."


When Cupp made the case that Maher as an atheist couldn't possibly understand how God's callings work, and others on the panel agreed with her, the host said, "Oh f--k you all," and moved on to his "New Rules" segment.
