Jon Stewart Laughs in Nancy Pelosi’s Face After She Admits She Doesn’t Know Why Obamacare Site Failed

House Minority Leader Rep. Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) sat down with The Daily Show host Jon Stewart on Thursday for a contentious interview. The interview became tense when Stewart attempted to get Pelosi to explain why government appears to function so poorly to the outside observer. When Pelosi attempted to explain why this was the case, Stewart became even more agitated.


“Right now, we have a school of thought in the House Republican caucus that is anti-government, anti-science, anti-Obama,” Pelosi said when asked about the nature of governance in Washington. “They have a trifecta that just enables them to vote against everything.”

Stewart said that Democrats are then required to make a stronger case. He said that Democratic governance now appears “chaotic” and their execution of legislation appears to “lack efficiency.” When Pelosi again blamed Republicans for this condition, Stewart became even more agitated.

When he asked why it was so difficult to get a company to execute the Affordable Care Act’s insurance exchange website “competently,” Pelosi replied, “I don’t know.” 

“What do you mean you don’t know? How do you not know?” Stewart asked laughing. 

Pelosi called the failed website “shameful,” but noted that it is improving. 

Stewart circled back to a philosophical pro-government argument that Democrats espouse but at the same time have been unable to demonstrate competency. He cited President Barack Obama’s campaign which had an efficient online process, but noted that it was impossible for that team to work on the ACA.

“Doesn’t matter,” Pelosi said. “What matters is it should have been prepared for.”

“Do we have a foundational problem? Is there a corruption in the system that needs to be addressed?” 

Stewart asked. Pelosi went on to detail the issues with bureaucracy and the failure of departments to communicate with each other. “Okay, do something about it,” Pelosi said. 

“I was actually going to say that to you,” Stewart interjected.

Obamacare Supporter Jon Stewart Lies About Government Shutdown, Typically Blames GOP For Everything

It's so easy to lie back and listen to a liberal celebrity lie and get their facts incorrect, esp. when the only reason you can't stand Republicans is because what the liberal press has told you about them:

Comedy Central funnyman Jon Stewart joined the legion of Democrats blaming the government shutdown on Republicans during “The Daily Show” on Monday evening. But while the host lambasted GOP lawmakers, he failed to get his facts straight.

Stewart discussed efforts by House Republicans to defund the Affordable Care Act and highlighted the GOP’s infatuation with the Constitution, noting Obamacare was enacted ‘literally by the book.’ But Stewart continued, ridiculing Republicans for blaming a potential shutdown on Democrats’ unwillingness to negotiate, when, according to him, it’s really the GOP’s fault.

“The government is going to shut down in 57 of your Earth minutes because House Republicans are refusing to fund the government unless the rest of Congress delays implementation of the Affordable Care Act otherwise known as Obamacare also known as the end of America as we know it for reasons no one is able to clearly explain,” Stewart said.

He then went on to note, despite news reports, that Republicans’ efforts are far from playing a game of chicken, but rather like “when someone is driving to work and there’s a car coming directly toward them in their lane.”

“That’s not a game of chicken,” Stewart said. “That’s an a**hole causing a head-on collision.”

The Comedy Central host also discussed President Obama’s willingness to negotiate with Iranian President Hassan Rouhani, but not House Republicans.

“If President Obama can make a deal with the most intransigent mullahs in the world but not House Republicans, maybe he’s not the problem,” Stewart said.

But Stewart failed to note that as the countdown to a government shutdown inched closer to zero, it was Senate Democrats who stymied any hope of negotiations. While the House worked into the early hours Sunday morning debating another continuing resolution that was passed to the Senate, Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid (D-Nev.) refused to call his chamber into session early and convened the body Monday at 2 p.m. — with 10 hours left to a shutdown.

Additionally, as House Republicans moved to send the resolution before a conference committee late Monday night, Reid refused to send conferees and adjourned the Senate until 9:30 a.m. Tuesday.

And President Obama has said numerous times in prepared remarks he would not negotiate with House Republicans at all.

Additionally, House Republicans attempted to negotiate on Obamacare, calling for members of Congress to receive coverage under the law and looking for a one-year delay. Democrats, though, would not allow for it.

Jon Stewart Applauds Rand Paul For Using Filibuster Over Drones Issue ‘Worth Kicking Up A Fuss For’

Jon Stewart tonight briefly addressed today’s filibuster by Senator Rand Paul, acknowledging that while he doesn’t see eye-to-eye on much with the Kentucky senator, he credited his attempt to make a very public fuss over whether the government can order drone strikes on American citizens on U.S. soil. The rest of the segment was devoted to Head Start and conservative opposition to President Obama calling for universal pre-school, with Stewart asking what, if not children’s education, the country should invest in.

Stewart was stunned to find that Paul was actually doing a “good old-fashioned actual talkie filibuster” like the kind our grandparents used to see, highlighting how attorney general Eric Holder basically said in a letter to Paul that technically speaking, they would necessarily rule it out. Stewart praised Paul for using the filibuster “the way it’s meant to be used” and said that “drone oversight is one [issue] certainly worth kicking up a fuss for.”

Stewart then moved on to conservatives raising questions about Obama’s proposal of universal pre-school. Stewart mocked objections ranging from the rising amount of paperwork to how pre-school is “not effective after the third grade,” dryly saying that “at that point you’re supposed to go to the fourth grade!”

Stewart said that one could either suggest that Head Start could be applied to the third grade, or that the “benefits of the program only last a few years, so fuck it!” Stewart marveled at how people were objecting to how much money it would cost, suggesting that children should just “get jobs and pay for it themselves!” He pointed out how the military wants more people to have basic early child development, suggesting a few military division: “SEAL Team Actually 6.”

Obama, Drones, and the Blissful Ignorance of Liberals

leaked Department of Justice memo outlining the legal rationale for President Obama's aggressive drone policy has sparked a heated debate — much of it centered on President Obama's apparent hypocrisy.
After all, Obama spent much of the 2008 campaign criticizing George W. Bush's policies on Guantanamo Bay and the waterboarding of three terrorists. And now he's okay with killing al-Qaeda-affiliated U.S. citizens without due process?

During one drone strike, a 16-year-old American was killed. You may write this off as collateral damage, but had this happened on George W. Bush's watch, you can bet it would have dominated headlines for days, if not weeks or months. So far, Obama hasn't even had to answer a question about it, and liberals who would have demanded Bush's impeachment have collectively yawned.

Still, in my estimation, President Obama has been consistent in practicing what I call "politically correct warfare" — which is to say that for most Americans, these drone strikes are out-of-sight, out-of-mind.
And here's the ugly truth: Obama is giving us what we want.

We have an unspoken agreement with the president. Obama never promised America he wouldn't kill people more aggressively than his predecessor. But with a wink and a nod, he gave us plausible deniability.

Americans, it turns out, don't really have the stomach for the unseemly business of taking prisoners, extracting information from prisoners, and then (maybe) going through the emotional, time consuming, and costly business of a trial.

American citizens want someone who will make the big, bad world disappear. Problems only exist if we have to confront them. Obama has made warfare more convenient for us — and less emotionally taxing. We should thank him.

This dynamic helps explain why some other liberal policies become popular. Ignorance is bliss. It's why many people believe that adults have more rights than the unborn (after all, we can see them, hear them complain. Likewise, an unborn baby cannot talk. The unborn can't hire a lobby.) The same could be said about spending. The notion of debt surpassing trillions of dollars is so ethereal as to be incomprehensible. See no evil, hear no evil...

And so, we appreciate Obama. With Bush, we had to see pictures of inmates. Yes, it's possible that some of the information extracted might have led us to bin Laden — but it still makes us feel bad. And we had to hear about waterboarding. How barbaric! It is far better to simply cause your enemies to evaporate. It's like pulling a band-aid off all at once. It's so much tidier — so much more sophisticated.

Dead men tell no tales.

Jon Stewart Summed Up: Liberal Hypocrite, FOX News Hater and Race Baiter

The true rise of the artist formerly known as Jon Stuart Leibowitz came not during his roommate role in Adam Sandler’s Big Daddy or taking over for Craig Kilborn on The Daily Show in the late 90s. Instead it was a 2004 appearance on the soon-to-be-doomed CNN Crossfire with Paul Begala and Tucker Carlson. 

Watch the clip (below) to witness one guest (a non-controversial comedian at the time, no less) single-handedly destroy a highly-successful cable program in the span of ten minutes. Stewart’s unfiltered perspective, along his unique ability to capture that palpable feeling everybody is thinking but nobody actually talks about, completely disarmed the hosts (particularly Carlson). The show would be abruptly canceled within a year. 

Stewart’s mantra throughout the TKO was pithy and pointed:
“Stop, stop, stop, stop hurting America,” he pleaded repeatedly, later adding: “You have a responsibility to the public discourse, and you fail miserably.”

Stewart would proceed to label the Crossfire hosts as “political hacks,” and equated both to professional wrestlers: “You’re doing theatre when you should be doing debate.” 

The hosts never saw it coming. 

Carlson: “You need to get a job at a journalism school…”

Stewart: “You need to go to one.”

Game, set, match…

Over 5.3 million YouTube hits later, Stewart was elevated to a broadcast pantheon few in political media have ascended to in terms of respect, admiration and power. As a result, the daily routine for every cable network producer is to assign an associate producer or intern to watch Stewart’s program to find the best clips to insert into a program. If you miss the Daily Show on any given night, no worries…best-of replays are seen all morning on cable news (the target that is Fox News notwithstanding). 

Beloved by Democrats and feared by Republicans for his awesome influence on young voters, AskMen even named the 50-year-old the country’s Most Influential Man of 2010. 

In the end, when talking about dominance in political programing and the hosts who get it — who truly understand what audiences want and how to do a show right — the roster is made up of two people: 

Jon Stewart. 

Bill O’Reilly. 

And that’s it. 

So that’s why it is regrettable to declare that Mr. Stewart has dubiously earned receiving the same lecture given to Carlson and Begala nine years ago:

Stop, stop, stop, stop hurting America, Jon. 

This plea comes after Stewart crossed over the line this week during a segment on President Obama and guns. In it, Stewart rightly called out the media for questioning whether the President fabricated a story around his recently revealed affection for skeet shooting. 

The silly season continues for conspiracy theorists choosing to attack the president on this, as the White House has since released a photo of Obama as part-Terminator/part-Matrix-Laurence Fishburne (the protective shades are unquestionably badass) while doing the skeet thing out at Camp David. 

The exercise once again proves certain media members need to be more selective in terms of where to burn their calories when criticizing this president…because when these kind of small-time charges are disproven, it only continues to diminish their already-struggling credibility. 

But regardless of how things turned out here, it was a question Stewart asked on his show that only helps push a toxic racial narrative we’re seeing way too often on cable news. 

Stewart on Thursday’s Daily Show: “Why won’t the black man half the country lives in fear of release a picture of himself holding a gun?” 

With statements like this, it is Stewart who is now hurting the country.

And before applying the same “I’m-just-a-comedian-don’t-take-anything-I-say-seriously-defense” Stewart invariably resorts to when called out in situations like this, keep in mind that he lost that get-out-of-jail-free card when he decided to become as serious as a heart attack on Crossfire on the importance of responsible public discourse. 

Here’s my beef: By automatically believing half the country (OK, 47 percent) only voted against the president because he’s black, because they fear him, it is an affront to the tens of millions who voted for the GOP candidate for reasons other than skin color. 

Maybe, just maybe, it was a listless economy, high unemployment, spiraling debt, the creation of unaffordable entitlements, and a different philosophy on taxes that compelled voting for the other guy…at least that’s what the exit polls showed. 

And by the way, included in the final tally for the Republican ticket were 2.4 million votes by African Americans. So, are they afraid of one of their own…the black guy with the gun? 

Remember when we heard that the only way Obama could lose would be because of closet racism and code words the Romney campaign was subtly imbedding in its talking points like “golf,” “Chicago,” and “lazy”? 

Well, it should be noted that the president received more white votes in 2012 than any Democratic candidate since FDR. And it’s not like he had the tailwinds of a great, or good (or even average) economy at his back.

So much for all that rampant racism derailing the president’s path to a second term…

But Stewart continues to push a racial narrative only thought to exist on a cable news network he rarely criticizes. 

Of course, this is the same host who once did an awkward Amos ‘n Andy imitation of Herman Cain. In this week’s “could you imagine if?” segment, could you imagine if O’Reilly put on black face and did his best impression of Barack Obama? 

Is Jon Stewart a racist? 

Of course not…

But does he play the race card when it comes to painting all conservatives with the same brush? 

Absolutely. 

Apparently over 60 million people in this country fear President Obama as if he was a gun-toting African-American member of a Chicago gang. 

At least that’s the implication. 

Please Jon…

Stop, stop, stop, stop hurting the country.

Comedy Central host Jon Stewart regularly bashes American multimillionaires for their wealth while ignoring the awkward fact that he’s one of them.

Though Stewart distances himself from the “one-percenters” and bellows over their extravagance, his bank accounts bear all the marks of the “multi, multi, multi, multi millionaires” he mocks. The 49-year-old Stewart, born Jonathan Stuart Leibowitz, makes more than 300 times the median American salary, owns three luxury homes and sometimes doesn’t pay his taxes.

In January Stewart exploded on-air over Republican presidential candidate Mitt Romney’s income level. “That’s almost — that’s almost $57,000 a day!” he gushed.

But Stewart’s own income level brings him and his wife Tracey approximately $41,000 a day. The celebrity income-handicapping website Celebrity Net Worth lists his annual salary as $15 million and estimates his net worth at $80 million.

While $80 million doesn’t yet put Stewart into the same wealth bracket as Romney, he is already on pace to be richer than the former Massachusetts governor when he reaches his age.

At his current earning rate, The Daily Show host’s net worth will be $320 million by the time he turns 65 — Romney’s current age. And that total doesn’t include increases in property value or other assets Stewart might accumulate.

And then there are the houses. When Arizona Sen. John McCain ran for president in 2008, he was criticized for not knowing how many houses he owned. (The answer: seven.) Stewart is well on his way to McCain country, with three opulent mansions whose combined value is $12.8 million.

He doesn’t technically own those homes: Using a trick mastered by countless one-percenters, the properties were purchased by private trusts. Stewart’s trusts are named after his pets.

The super-wealthy often make big-ticket purchases through trusts in order to protect their other assets from lawsuits, diminish estate tax liability, and avoid public scrutiny.

The satirist started his real estate empire in 2005 when The Stanley Monkey Trust — named after his cat Stanley and one of his pit bull terriers, Monkey — purchased a two-story Manhattan penthouse for $5.8 million.

That deluxe apartment in the sky spans 6,000-square-feet and has 40 windows, a 600-foot terrace, and a 1,200-foot private roof, the New York Observer reported in 2005.

Of course, Stewart would probably dismiss the irony here and use his classic "I'm just a comedian" excuse whenever the finger is pointed at his blatant hypocrisy, but hey it's all the same when liberals are confronted with facts.

The first hint something was amiss was the knock on the door from a television reporter.


Elaine McClain and her husband, David McClain, of Sanford, Florida, were not expecting a journalist to drop by looking for George Zimmerman, the man who says he fatally shot an unarmed teenager in self-defense.


The death of Trayvon Martin has sparked strong reactions across the country, and those sentiments made their way to the unassuming McClains.


The next day, a letter arrived with "Taste the rainbow" written on the envelope in felt-tip pen.


That is the slogan for Skittles candy. When he was shot, Martin was carrying Skittles candy and a can of iced tea he had purchased from a nearby convenience store.


The letter was followed by a parade of reporters arriving at the McClains' home. Only then, Elaine McClain said, did she and her husband learn that director Spike Lee had retweeted a message to his 250,000 followers with the couple's address, identifying it as George Zimmerman's home.


The McClains have a son whose middle name is George and whose last name is Zimmerman, but he has no connection with the controversy. After the tweets, with hate mail arriving and strangers with microphones knocking on the door, the McClains left their house for a hotel.


Lee apologized on Twitter to the couple and asked people to leave them in peace, and on Thursday, Elaine McClain said, Lee called her and gave a sincere apology.


Lee also told her he would pay the couple's cost of having to leave their home, Elaine McClain said.


The family's attorney, Matt Morgan, said Lee reached an agreement with the couple.


"The McClains are relieved that this matter is now behind them," Morgan said. "We had a very sincere and heartfelt conversation with Mr. Lee today. His apology was genuine and our clients were grateful. We asked Mr. Lee to do the right thing and he did."


The McClains said they were not seeking financial gain from their troubles. David McClain said he simply wants to get his life "back to a rational state."

Don't you just love it when white liberals define your 'blackness'? Herman Cain sure does:

Herman Cain seems to have no interested in ending his newly-minted feud with Jon Stewart. On The O’Reilly Factor tonight, Cain came out swinging against Stewart again– who initially courted Cain’s wrath by making fun of his claim that bill longer than 3 pages would be vetoed automatically– explicitly stating that, although Stewart’s “Amos and Andy” voice was offensive to him, he wasn’t playing the race card. But Stewart had a problem, he asserted, with him being a “black conservative.”


Cain first began accepting Stewart’s adamant claims that Stewart is “a comedian,” and only a comedian, but that, precisely because of that, “he should have known” the “less than three pages” comment was a joke. “He’s a comedian, and I’m a problem-solver,” he asserted, though he did say that “when he mocks me in the dialect of old Amos and Andy, I think that’s a problem.” When confronted by host Juan Williams over that comment and how it contradicts his assertions that he was playing the race card, Cain argued that it was “some people in the media” who were playing the race card, and that his campaign and his statements were, he said familiarly, “not about color– it’s about content of ideas and it’s about character.”


Ultimately, however, Cain concluded that Stewart’s problem was not with him as a black person, but “Jon Stewart doesn’t like me because I am an American black conservative… he has a bigger problem with that than any race thing.” He added that “I know racism when I see it,” and that Stewart didn’t fit the bill. Williams agreed that black conservatives faced certain problems– “you don’t fit in the box”– though declined to emphasize the race issue.

PolitiFact: Jon Stewart Falsely Claimed Fox News Viewers ‘Most Consistently Misinformed’

Nothing beats backs liberals better than facts:

The Truth-O-Meter has rendered its verdict, and Jon Stewart’s come up short. PolitiFact, the Pulitzer Prize winning fact-checking site, has evaluated Stewart’s statement in an interview on Fox News where he asked, “who are the most consistently misinformed media viewers?” Stewart said to Fox’s Chris Wallace. “The most consistently misinformed? Fox, Fox viewers, consistently, every poll.”


PolitiFact based its verdict on an extensive analysis of recent surveys of Fox News viewers, including a 2007 political knowledge survey by the Pew Research Center, and a 2008 media survey by the University of Maryland’s Program on International Policy Attitudes.


The analysis is worth a read, and broken down in significant detail, but the conclusion is this: Fox viewers may not be the best informed, but they aren’t the most misinformed:


We have three Pew studies that superficially rank Fox viewers low on the well-informed list, but in several of the surveys, Fox isn’t the lowest, and other general-interest media outlets — such as network news shows, network morning shows and even the other cable news networks — often score similarly low. Meanwhile, particular Fox shows — such as The O’Reilly Factor and Sean Hannity’s show — actually score consistently well, occasionally even outpacing Stewart’s own audience.

In a news cycle dominated by a nude Congressman and an election more than a year away, the Sarah Palin email dump may have almost been a breath of fresh air– had there been anything remote interesting in her files. On tonight’s Daily Show, Jon Stewart berated the media for looking for their Palin drug hit and taking the rest of the country on a wild goose chase through files of mundane bureaucratic files.


Hoping against hope that the Palin emails would contain vulgar Twitter photos, Stewart began the segment biting his nails over the dramatic insights the Palin emails could potentially harbor. What “devastating, newsworthy” stuff could they contain? The media found such insights as Palin debating whether she should pose for a fitness magazine and a letter of a constituent complaining that Palin “was spotted with Trig in a car not wearing an approved car seat.”


“Why are you wasting our time?!” an exasperated Stewart asked, looking deeper into the desperation journalists appeared to have in finding little to nothing interesting in her emails. Finally, after finding nothing new of interest in the large piles of physically printed out emails, Stewart discovered a clip of a reporter trying to find meaning to the entire ordeal, asking whether, in Stewart’s words, the emails were “something, nothing, or somewhere between something and nothing.”

A couple of years ago I couldn't stand Jon Stewart, but now that he's playing fair calling out BS on both sides of the political spectrum, count me as a fan. O'Reilly does get one good shot in there about Comedy Central being totally Left (unless you want to count "South Park" but that's a reach), but other than that Stewart wipes the floor with him on an issue conservatives had no business getting into in the first place.

Jon Stewart: Can Ed Schultz Fill ‘Olbermann Shaped Hole’ In Our Nation’s Discourse?

Its been two weeks since Keith Olbermann left the airwaves of MSNBC, creating a “Olbermann shaped hole in our nation’s discourse,” according to Jon Stewart, who used the opening segment in tonight’s episode of The Daily Show to assess MSNBC’s current lineup to fill said void. Rachel Maddow seems too civil and gentile, Lawrence O’Donnell seems too smart and Chris Matthews seemed, well, like a “balloonhead.” Leaving us with? Ed Schultz!


While some will see the segment as a paean to Olbermann’s strength of conviction, others are sure to see it as a mockery of Olbermann’s over reliance on hyperbole and merciless railing on anyone who disagrees with him. The later might be the real point of the segment, evidenced by the bizarre bit in which Stewart travels to “the Olberfarm” in which young “Olberclones” are seen yelling at each other. Stewart laughs diabolically, while somewhere, we imagine, crickets chirped. Hey, they can’t all be hits!

It's something Jon Stewart bravely pointed out (to the ire of many of the Left) at his recent "Rally To Restore the Sanity" rally, to the ire of many on the Left: the extreme wings in both parties constantly engage in bitter and hateful fearmonegring that does nothing to benefit the lives of Americans as a whole, each refusing to compromise...yet, it's always the Left that refuses to own up to their thuggery. Wonder why.

Jon Stewart Hurt Keith Olbermann's Feelings At "Restore Sanity"

While most of the mainstream media went into overdrive yesterday to cover Jon Stewart’s much-anticipated Rally to Restore Sanity MSNBC host Keith Olbermann was less than impressed. Apparently Stewart’s criticism of the cablesphere in particular rubbed Olbermann the wrong way. Tweeted Olbermann yesterday afternoon:

“It wasn’t a big shark but Jon Stewart jumped one just now with the “everybody on Thr cable is the same” naiveté”

And a short time later:

“@doughtywench he did not hurt my feelings. I thought his message, on the eve of an election full of Tea Psychos, was terribly timed.”

Olbermann was seemingly also frustrated by the fact Stewart was criticizing both Fox and MSNBC in equal measure:

“@chuckb1999 but he doesn’t distribute it equally. It’s nonsensical to say so, or that each side deserves it equally -his claim today”

What apparently set Olbermann off was the long montage of cable clips Stephen ColbertDaily Show editing that strives (successfully, it must be said) to highlight the ridiculousness of cablesphere. Watch below. It’s probably worth noting that this is not the first time Olbermann has been critical of Stewart, he referred to him as a member of the ‘cranky left’ in an interview with Politico earlier this week.

Yeah, a guy who condescendingly berates all those on the Right while never having the guts to debate the opposition cries like a 'lil girl when he gets called on it.

Barack Obama's Dumb 'Daily Show' Jon Stewart Appearance and the President's Diminishing Brand

President Obama should make the most of his "Daily Show" appearance on Wednesday night - charming the pants off Jon Stewart and the crowd, as he did when he showed up there two years ago. It's a terrific show, Stewart is a great interviewer and Obama makes good television.


Then, the President should cancel all future trivial media appearances. While they may have kept him personally popular, in broad terms they've degraded the Obama brand.


Obama's handlers were supposed to be smarter than this. They were supposed to use his celebrity strategically to advance his agenda. Instead, they've been indiscriminate, carpet-bombing Americans with the man they elected rather than launching communications smart weapons.


The result is that for millions of Americans, the very likable, charming Obama has become a constant tone in the background rather than an occasional, convincing, presidential voice in the foreground - the kind that makes your ears perk up.


Consider all the quasi-entertainment media appearances he's made, most of them frivolous.


He went on ESPN twice to announce his Final Four picks. He went on "The View" (drawing 6.5 million viewers). He had a "Christmas at the White House" special with Oprah Winfrey. He went on Jay Leno - becoming the first sitting President to appear on a late-night show. He was on the cover of Rolling Stone, giving a revealing interview looking back on his first 18 months in office. In December, he'll be going on the Discovery Channel's "MythBusters."


All that's left, apparently, is to be a guest voice on "The Simpsons," though I'm sure that's in the offing. Banksy will animate.


This "Daily Show" appearance makes a second strategic mistake. By chumming it up with Stewart just days before the Rally to Restore Sanity, Obama and Stewart are coopting each other. The President is killing two mockingbirds with one stone.

Rick Sanchez Fired From CNN

Glenn Beck was right, this guy really was a moron:

CNN released this statement today:

“Rick Sanchez is no longer with the company. We thank Rick for his years of service and we wish him well.“

They will broadcast CNN Newsroom from 3-5pm for the foreseeable future.

CNN’s Rick Sanchez is not happy with being made fun of constantly on The Daily Show and Colbert Report. It is from this jumping off point that he absolutely unleashed on Jon Stewart and Stephen Colbert, and at times his own network, on Pete Dominick’s satellite radio show yesterday.
The big takeaway – Sanchez calls Stewart “a bigot,” then walks it back a bit, and he implies CNN is run by Jews.
Dominick was not just a radio show host – he is a CNN contributor who has a regular gig on John King, USA (more on that below), and he formerly was the warm up comic at The Daily Show. Which is why when Sanchez says “I think Jon Stewart’s a bigot” early in the interview, Dominick pushed back:
Dominick: How is he a bigot?
Sanchez: I think he looks at the world through, his mom, who was a school teacher, and his dad, who was a physicist or something like that. Great, I’m so happy that he grew up in a suburban middle class New Jersey home with everything you could ever imagine.
Dominick: What group is he bigoted towards?
Sanchez: Everybody else who’s not like him. Look at his show, I mean, what does he surround himself with?
