‘Thug’ Toddler Now in Custody

Thank goodness:

The Nebraska toddler seen repeating obscenities and racial slurs being thrown at him in an online video has been taken into child protective custody by Omaha police. 

While police said there was nothing criminal in the video, authorities took the infant and three other children into custody after an investigation found safety concerns. At one point in the video, the African-American toddler responds to one of the adults saying, “Shut up, bitch.” 

The police in Omaha called the clip part of a “cycle of violence and thuggery” in the community.

Two Alabama men kept a 9-year-old boy captive for months as they sexually tortured him and filmed it as part of a larger child porn ring, prosecutors in Huntsville say in a disturbing case.

So disturbing were the more than 100 photographs police found that officers could not even positively identify the boy because they could not bear to look, cops said in court on Monday, AL.com reports.

Charles Dunnavant is charged with sexual torture, sodomy, aggravated child abuse and exposing a person to an STD.

Carl Philip Herold, the boy’s father, is charged with sodomy, sexual abuse, aggravated child abuse, child pornography production, distributing child pornography and with allowing his child to be depicted in pornography.

"He has the means of travel, family out of state and some of the allegations are there was much travel in the lives of Dunnavant and Herold," Madison County Assistant District Attorney Gabrielle Helix said at a bond hearing Monday. "They held the child captive for eight months and there are no standards, taboos or lines this defendant and his co-defendant hesitated to cross."

Herold, originally from Wyoming, had only lived in Huntsville for about eight months. During that time, he allowed Dunnavant to move in, a partnership prosecutors say spawned the child porn ring.

Evidence shows the men took the child across state lines for “criminal sexual purposes,” AL.com reported.

Herold has a computer programming background and runs a popular YouTube channel where he livestreams programming lessons. Prosecutors say his son was not enrolled in school in Huntsville and that they think he was kept in the home without interaction with the outside world.

Man Who Raised Adrian Peterson's Slain Child: There Should Be No Sympathy for Biological Dad

You're always sorry for the loss of a child, but the way this man handles business in his personal life, in this case it's just hard to have any sympathy for him:

Minnesota Vikings running back Adrian Peterson just recently found out via a DNA test that the two-year-old son that was recently beaten to death by the live-in boyfriend of the child's mother was in fact his son. 

Peterson saw the child for the first time on his death bed, and the man who claims he raised Peterson's child lashed out at Peterson on Facebook, saying nobody should feel sympathy for a father who never even knew his son. 

"So tired of this poor Adrian Peterson s**t. Let me blow all your minds," Bobby Ruffin posted on Facebook, according to TMZ. "The boy who died was my son. Yes AP was the biological father but I raised him and he carried my name. Tyrese Robert Ruffin."

Ruffin said they "both found out recently who the biological father was. AP met my son for the first time yest [sic] when my son was already in coma."

He then blasted Peterson for not being by his child's bedside until the last moments of his life.
"I was here today when we pulled the plug, not him,"

Joseph Patterson, the man with a history of domestic abuse who beat the child, has been arrested.

Body Remains Are Caylee Anthony

This story has fascinated me from the very beginning so yeah, this news is really disturbing:

The remains found in a wooded area last week in Orange County, Florida, are those of Caylee Anthony, authorities confirmed at a news conference Friday.

"It is with regret that I'm here to inform you that the skeletal remains found December 11 are those of the missing toddler," said Dr. Jan Garavaglia, the Orange County medical examiner.

The remains were confirmed to be Caylee's through a DNA match, authorities said.

Garavaglia said the cause of death was homicide, but she could not determine how Caylee was killed.

Casey Anthony, 22, faces charges including first-degree murder in the June disappearance of her daughter. She could face a sentence of life in prison if convicted. Prosecutors said this month that they would not seek the death penalty.

Authorities said they called the jail where Anthony is being held to let her know about the discovery.

Caylee's remains were found last week a half-mile from Casey Anthony's parents' home, in the area where a meter reader first directed police.

At the news conference, Garavaglia said that the remains were completely skeletonized and that no tissue was present. She said there was no trauma to the bones before Caylee's death.

Caylee Anthony May've Been Found

Tragic:

Investigators said Friday that they think remains found near a home where Caylee Anthony lived with her grandparents are those of the missing toddler.

But, they added, police and prosecutors are waiting until DNA and other tests are completed before making a positive identification.

Orange County, Florida, sheriff's spokesman Carlos Padilla gave three reasons for the belief the body is Caylee's:

• No other children have been reported missing in the area.

• The remains are consistent with a child of Caylee's age.

• They were found in close proximity to the home of Caylee's grandparents.

Caylee Anthony was 2 when she disappeared in June. Her mother, Casey Anthony, 22, didn't report her missing for a month and is charged with murder.

The first word that the corpse found Thursday had been tentatively identified as Caylee's came as her mother's attorneys sought a court order allowing them to observe the autopsy and conduct their own forensic tests.

Lawyer Linda Kenney Baden said in court that investigators told the defense team they "were proceeding as if this were little Caylee Anthony."

Strands of hair found with the remains, discovered Thursday a half-mile from the home of Caylee's grandparents, are the same color as the girl's, the lawyer said. The age and measurements also were a match for Caylee, Baden added.

Casey Anthony, 22, was charged in October with killing her daughter, but her lawyers insist that she is innocent.

Parents Abandoning Teenagers In Nebraska

What's going on with the state of parenting in this country when people are rushing to take advantage of a loophole in a safe-haven law to abandon their own kids, some of whom are teenagers:

The mother was running out of more than patience when she abandoned her 18-year-old daughter at a hospital over the weekend under Nebraska's safe-haven law. She was also running out of time: She knew that state lawmakers would soon meet in a special session to amend the ill-fated law so that it would apply to newborns only.

"Where am I going to get help if they change the law?" said the mother, who lives in Lincoln and asked to not be identified by name to protect her adopted child.

To the state's surprise and embarrassment, more than half of the 33 children legally abandoned under the safe-haven law since it took effect in mid-July have been teenagers.

But state officials may have inadvertently made things worse with their hesitant response to the problem: The number of drop-offs has almost tripled to about three a week since Gov. Dave Heineman announced on Oct. 29 that lawmakers would rewrite the law.

With legislators set to convene on Friday, weary parents like the Lincoln mother have been racing to drop off their children while they still can.

On Thursday, authorities searched for a 17-year-old girl who fled an Omaha hospital as her mother tried to abandon her. Her 14-year-old brother was taken into state custody, health officials said.

Child welfare experts said the late deluge of drop-offs was probably inevitable. After all, they said, some date had to be picked to begin changing the law.

Ok, change the law, but that won't cover up the fact that 33 children were abandoned by their parents.....a desperate cry for help or grown adults willing to fore go the responsibility of raising their kids? Either way you'd think child advocates would be alarmed by the big picture here, in other words the likelihood that most of these abandoned kids probably came from single-parent households. I bet most were.

The liberal press won't say it, but it's common knowledge amongst conservatives that children and adolescents are affected when their parents divorce or when they're born out of wedlock. Indeed, children from single parent homes are seven times more likely to go to jail, use drugs and/or be unwed mothers or fathers. It's not to say that children of single parent can't overcome these statistics and succeed in life, just that the chances are much, much less. The best hope for kids? Being raised in a traditional household where both the mother and father are present and involved with their kids lives. With single-parent households continually on the rise, the need for traditional marriage becomes even more essential.

Casey Anthony Finally Indicted

Some people just have no business ever being parents:

The mother of missing Florida toddler Caylee Anthony was arrested Tuesday in a traffic stop, shortly after a grand jury indicted her on seven counts, including capital murder, for the disappearance of her 3-year-old daughter.

Casey Anthony was taken to jail after officers observed her switch cars on a highway and pulled her over, an Orange County Sheriff's Department spokesman said.

Earlier Tuesday, Anthony's lawyer said his client would turn herself in if the grand jury returned an indictment against her.

"She's not running from this," attorney Jose Baez said as his 22-year-old client wiped tears from her eyes during an impromptu media briefing before the charges against her were announced. "She's doing her best to stand strong, to stand up to the powers that are working against her. And they threw the kitchen sink at her a long time ago."

After the indictment, undercover officers followed Anthony as she traveled in her mother's SUV. The officers saw the SUV stop under a highway overpass, at which point Anthony got into another vehicle and drove off. Officers made the traffic stop after she entered the second vehicle, the spokesman said.

Prosecutors are asking Anthony be held without bond.

Anthony is charged with first-degree murder, aggravated child abuse, aggravated manslaughter of a child and four counts of providing false information to police.

Personally I don't think she had any intent to turn herself in, sounds like she was trying to flee to me. Regardless, she's caught now and needs to rot in jail for the rest of her miserable life. Whatever issues Casey Anthony had with herself and her life, she decided to take them out on her child. Not only is she a sick human being, but a coward as well.

Supreme Court Says No To Death Penalty For Rape

Great decision by the Court in deciding that "the death penalty for child rape is unconstitutional if the defendants' acts were not intended to cause death." The decision was 5-4:

Barring the death penalty for any crime that does not take the life of an individual victim, the Supreme Court ruled Wednesday that it is unconstitutional to impose the death penalty for the crime of raping a child. If the victim does not die and death was not intended, capital punishment for that crime violates the Eighth Amendment, the Court ruled in an opinion by Justice Anthony M. Kennedy. The case was Patrick Kennedy v. Louisiana (07-343). The broad declaration that death sentences should be reserved “for crimes that take the life of the victim” will apply, the Court said, to crimes against individuals — thus leaving intact, for example, a possible death sentence for treason.

Part of the Court’s rationale for nullifying a death sentence for raping a child was that the child victim gets enlisted, perhaps repeatedly, to recount the crime, forcing on the child “a moral choice” that the youngster is not mature enough to make. “The way the death penalty here involves the child victim in its enforcement can compromise a decent legal system,” Justice Kennedy wrote.

This is an obvious case of the punishment being disproportionate from the crime, even victims' rights groups were against it, correctly arguing that this could as an incentive for rapists to kill their victims.

Parents Of Madeline Neumann Facing Homicide Charges

I heard about this case not too long ago and thought one thing: what, these idiots couldn't pray and take their daughter to the hospital at the same time? Now the sickos are being charged with second-degree reckless homicide and here's hoping they're found guilty and given the full 25 years:

Family and friends had urged Dale and Leilani Neumann to get help for their daughter, but the father considered the illness "a test of faith" and the mother never considered taking the girl to the doctor because she thought her daughter was under a "spiritual attack," the criminal complaint said.

"It is very surprising, shocking that she wasn't allowed medical intervention," Marathon County District Attorney Jill Falstad said. "Her death could have been prevented."

Madeline Neumann died March 23 -- Easter Sunday -- at her family's rural Weston home. Her parents were told the body would be taken to Madison for an autopsy the next day.

"They responded, 'You won't need to do that. She will be alive by then,"' the medical examiner wrote in a report.

An autopsy determined that Madeline died from undiagnosed diabetic ketoacidosis, which left her with too little insulin in her body. Court records said she likely had some symptoms of the disease for months.

Liberals have already attacked the Neumanns for their supposed Christian zealotry, but this isn't about faith, it's about an un-Godly cult engaging in abuse and negligence towards kids and that's why the charge makes perfect sense.

Rapist Kelsey Peterson Appears In Court

Not so shocking if you've been paying attention:

EL CENTRO, Calif. (AP) — A Nebraska middle school teacher accused of running away to Mexico with a 13-year-old to have sex with him appeared in court Monday to face criminal charges.

Kelsey Peterson said nothing as charges that she crossed the border to have sex with a minor were read by U.S. Magistrate Judge Peter Lewis. The judge scheduled a hearing for Wednesday to ask whether Peterson would waive extradition to Nebraska.

Peterson's court-appointed attorney, Diane Regan, declined to comment after the court appearance.

Peterson, 25, was a sixth-grade math teacher and basketball coach at Lexington Middle School, and the boy was once her student.

The subject of a weeklong search, Peterson was taken into custody Friday in Mexicali, Mexico, after the boy's relatives told police he had called home asking for money. She was turned over to FBI agents early Saturday and is being held at the Imperial County jail in El Centro, about 120 miles east of San Diego.

Authorities in Mexico said the boy told police of vague but romantic plans with Peterson to scrap normal teenage life for a life of hiding in southern or central Mexico. Investigators have said they have recovered e-mails and letters in which they both express affection.

Peterson is charged in Nebraska with kidnapping, child abuse and contributing to the delinquency of a minor.

You see, female teachers raping male students is literally a growing epidemic, but the liberal press little to say about it. No studies. No special reports. Nothing. And why is that? Could it be because the idea of female rapists challenges the stereotypes of women as victims not perpetrators? Most likely. And what about the lenient sentences given to these female rapists? Can you imagine a male teacher having sex with a student and getting off with virtually Scot-free as we saw in the more recent cases of Debra LaFave and say, Joan Marie Sladky? But liberals will argue that "it's different" for the Kelsey Peterson's of the world because women can't rape men, coolly ignoring the fact that in Peterson's case the victim wasn't a man, but a 13-year-old boy. But for liberals it's never about the child, is it.
