Barack Obama Wins "Donkey of the Day" For (Funeral Selfie) At Nelson Mandela's Memorial

And deservedly so, despite the fact that there are actually Obamabots out there defending this senseless move. What an ass-hat that POTUS is.

Obama Brings Bill Clinton In To Talk Tax Plan…And Then Leaves To Go To A Christmas Party

Amateur hour in the White House continues:
“I’ve never seen anything like that,” said MSNBC’s Cenk Uygur after cutting back following a press conference on the tax plan. It had begun with a surprise appearance by President Obama who then brought in a further surprise, none other than Bill Clinton, to help him explain the deal. However, after introducing Clinton and letting him begin to talk, Obama suddenly announced that he was leaving for a Christmas party and vanished, letting Clinton talk for 25 more minutes as if it was 1996! I guess it could have been worse. Obama could have left to go play hoops.

Seriously, what was the thinking here? This has to be one of the worst PR moves in the entirety of the administration. Obviously, Clinton is probably a more popular Democratic figure right now, but they had to imagine this would hurt Obama. I mean, letting a former president explain your tax bill while you head to a Christmas party? A Christmas party?

Obama Backtracks From Calling Political Opponents "Enemies"

Newsmax.com:
President Barack Obama said Monday he should not have used the word "enemies" to describe his political opponents as Republicans sought to make an issue of the comment a day before congressional elections.

Obama, in an interview with talk radio host Michael Baisden, said, "I probably should have used the word 'opponents' instead of enemies."

He was backtracking from a comment he made a week ago in an interview with Univision radio in which he sought to persuade Hispanics to vote for Democratic candidates instead of Republicans.

"If Latinos sit out the election instead of, 'we're going to punish our enemies and we're going to reward our friends who stand with us on issues that are important to us' -- if they don't see that kind of upsurge in voting in this election, then I think it's going to be harder," Obama had said.

Republicans in hot pursuit of control of the U.S. House of Representatives in Tuesday voting were drawing attention to Obama's "enemies" comment in hopes of encouraging more turnout by Republican voters.

Hammering home the issue was John Boehner, the Republican who would oust Democrat Nancy Pelosi as House speaker if Republicans win control of the House on Tuesday as most pollsters believe will happen.

"Today, sadly, we have president who uses the word 'enemy' for fellow Americans ... fellow citizens. He uses it for people who disagree with his agenda of bigger government ... people speaking out for a smaller, more accountable government that respects freedom and allows small businesses to create jobs," Boehner planned to say in Cincinnati.
Gee, and you wonder sometimes how this country got so partisan?

Ryan Seacrest To Interview President Obama

As if he hasn't destroyed the dignity of the Presidential office enough by appearing on talk shows like "The View" and most recently "The Daily Show", Barack Obama shows us once again that he's not fit to be president by agreeing to talk to "American Idol" host Ryan Seacrest:
First "The View," then "The Daily Show" and now "On Air with Ryan Seacrest?"

President Obama will fill the airwaves on Election Day for his first interview with Ryan Seacrest, the radio DJ and host of "American Idol," according to the White House.

Seacrest took to his Facebook page Monday to elicit questions.

The interview will be available on his website after it airs. "On Air" is syndicated to hundreds of stations across the country.

According to Deputy White House Press Secretary Josh Earnest, the president taped the Seacrest spot, as well as a spot on Russ Parr and Steve Harvey's shows Monday afternoon. He also did local radio interviews with hosts in Milwaukee, Cincinnati, Philadelphia, Honolulu and Miami.
I mean, does he not know that 13-year-olds aren't allowed to vote?

Obama Takes Another Vacation As BP Oil Spill Worsens, Skips Memorial Day Service Too

Presidents are never really off the clock, even when they go on vacation. But President Obama's decision to skip the traditional Memorial Day ceremony in Arlington while on his second vacation since the BP oil spill began has some wondering what the schedule says about his priorities.

On "vacation," Obama still holds staff meetings, occasionally attends local events and often gets his "relaxation" time swallowed up by pressing national and international business -- his vacation to Hawaii in December coincided with the attempted Christmas Day airline bombing. The retreat this weekend is marked by a side-trip to Louisiana to inspect the damages from the oil spill.

But some conservatives, still smarting over the criticism George W. Bush fielded for his frequent trips to Crawford, Texas, say Obama's trip to Chicago over Memorial Day weekend is conspicuously poor in its timing.

Obama, who was headed to Chicago Thursday night, will not be at Arlington National Cemetery for the Memorial Day ceremony -- which he attended last year. Instead, the president plans to be at Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery in Elwood, Ill., while Vice President Biden takes his place in Arlington for the wreath-laying at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier.

Pete Hegseth, director of the conservative Vets for Freedom, said he doesn't want to "extrapolate too much," but questioned why a war-time president would not pencil in that ceremony.
"It doesn't mean he doesn't care, but I think it is a reflection of priorities," he said. "We're still at war ... and he's not called out to the carpet on that."

Dana Perino, former Bush White House press secretary, called the decision a "curious choice."

"I do think that symbolically that probably was not a very good choice," she told Fox News.

The Arlington visit is a fairly recent tradition. Former President Ronald Reagan attended four of them in his eight years in office, while former President George H.W. Bush sent Vice President Dan Quayle to every one. Former President Bill Clinton, though, attended every year and George W. Bush missed only one, in 2002, when he was in Normandy, France, visiting the American cemetery.
Once again it's amateur hour in the White House.

Obama Administration Took Their Sweet Old Time Responding To Gulf Coast Oil Spill

Then there's the administration's rhetoric about anticipating the magnitude of the crisis and bringing all resources to bear on Day One.

"We had (Defense Department) resources there from Day One. This was a situation that was treated as a possible catastrophic failure from, from Day One," Homeland Security Secretary Janet Napolitano said Sunday on NBC's "Meet the Press."

That sense of urgency was not so apparent when White House Press Secretary Robert Gibbs was questioned about the incident April 23, three days after it occurred. At the time he seemed to dismiss its severity and indicated it wouldn't affect Obama's plans to open up new areas of the coast to offshore drilling.

"I don't honestly think it opens up a whole new series of questions, because, you know, in all honesty I doubt this is the first accident that has happened and I doubt it will be the last," Gibbs said.

A week later, Obama was announcing plans for Interior Secretary Ken Salazar to review whether new technologies were needed to safeguard against oil spills from deep-water drilling rigs. The president said no new offshore oil drilling leases would be issued without any such safeguards.

And Napolitano's comments over the weekend about the Pentagon's Day One role seemed a change from last Thursday, when she seemed to indicate the Defense Department was not yet involved in responding to the spill: "If and when they have something to add, we'll certainly make that known," she said.
The "Obama's Katrina" meme continues to grow.

Obama Dismisses War Casualties And Makes Joke About Predator Drones

Everyone agrees that President Obama was funnier than Jay Leno at the White House Correspondents Association dinner on Saturday night. But this joke is inspiring some backlash:
"Jonas Brothers are here, they're out there somewhere. Sasha and Malia are huge fans, but boys, don't get any ideas. Two words for you: predator drones. You will never see it coming. You think I'm joking?"
"You have to wonder why in the world the president's speech writers would think it was a good idea to throw a joke about predator drones into the president's speech during the White House Correspondent's Dinner, given that an estimated one-third of drone casualties, or between 289 and 378, have been civilians," wrote Adam Serwer at the American Prospect.

"Let's be honest, fellow progressives, we'd be all over Bush if he made the same 'predator drone' joke Obama told last night," Philadelphia Daily News' Will Bunch tweeted

Drone attacks in Pakistan have killed hundreds of suspected insurgents since early 2009 -- but they have also killed civilians and stirred up animosity towards the U.S. in Pakistan.

President Bush was pilloried for making light of the lack of WMDs in Iraq at the 2004 White House Correspondents' Dinner.
But he displayed "comedic genious", that's all that matters.

Barack Obama BOWS DOWN To Chinese President

TheCypressTimes.com:

Barack Obama bowed when shaking hands with Hu Jintao, the president of communist China yesterday at the Nuclear Security Summit in Washington D.C. To bow before someone is to give that person honor. It is an act of reverence, an act of submission.

Can you get a complete picture of this? The President of the United States of America, a nation whose name was once synonymous with “Freedom” and the defense of “Human Rights” bows, while standing in his own capitol city, before the leader of the largest communist nation on the planet, a country that is constantly guilty of atrocities against its own people, and the oppression of religious freedom, freedom of speech, and the list goes on and on to include some of the worst racial discrimination in history in Tibet.

Our president seems to have decided to abandon everything that this nation once stood for that was considered by the people of our country to be good or decent. Mr. Obama has apologized for this country ad nauseum since becoming our fearless leader. Mr. Obama must have a special chiropractor on hand to make sure his spine is plenty flexible when about to meet with a dictator, or head of a communist regime. Got to make those bows really count.

Yet, Mr. Obama refused to even have his photograph taken with Israel’s Benjamin Netanyahu recently in Washing ton D.C.
The Amateur-in-Chief will just never get how humiliating it is for the leader of our country to keep bowing down to foreign leaders (and let's not forget mayors of Tampa). No other leader of a country goes around doing this stuff and every time Barry bows down, our standing around the world just takes a shot, but what does he care?

Obama Leaves White House Without Press, Breaks Protocol

Newsmax.com:

President Barack Obama quietly breached years of protocol on Saturday morning by leaving the White House without the press with him.

About an hour before reporters were supposed to be in position to leave with the president, Obama left the grounds of the White House. Members of the press were told he was attending one of his daughter's soccer games in northwest Washington, D.C.

The White House press corps traditionally travels with the president anywhere he goes, inside or outside the country, to report on the president's activities for the benefit of informing the public and for historical record.

After Obama left, a press aide hastily gathered members of the press who happened to be at the White House early. They rushed to a van and left the White House to catch up with the president.

Too late. By the time, the press van appeared to arrive at the president's location, the press was told he was already departing. Time to go back to the White House.

What happens when you elect a rank amateur to the big house.

Obama Throws Dalai Lama Out With The Trash

News10.net:

The Dalai Lama said he wasn't offended by the low-key reception he received at the White House this week and understands that President Barack Obama must be practical despite his commitment to championing human rights worldwide.

Tibet's exiled spiritual leader told The Associated Press in Los Angeles Saturday that he recognizes Obama must juggle his desire to support the Dalai Lama's push for greater Tibetan autonomy with his concerns about angering China, a growing U.S. economic rival.

The Dalai Lama was in Los Angeles to support Whole Child International, an organization that advocates better care for orphans worldwide.

This kind of stuff happens when you let a rank amateur take the keys to the car.
