Herman Cain: "President Obama Wants To Rewrite The Bible"

Former GOP presidential nominee Herman Cain said Friday that President Obama “wants to rewrite the Bible according to Obama.”


“This president wants to redefine marriage,” Cain said in a speech at the Freedom and Faith Conference in Washington, D.C. “He wants to rewrite the Bible according to Obama. I have an announcement for the President of the United States: ‘Mr. President, God gets all the votes and you can’t rewrite the Bible.’


During the speech, Cain also slammed the president for wanting to “rewrite the dictionary.”


“He wants to define fair and fairness,” Cain said. “Last time I checked, fair meant everybody gets treated the same — not the government pick and choose whose going to get favors from the government. So he wants rewrite the dictionary and change the definition of fair to fit what he wants to do.”


Retelling a story about a black critic of his who told him that it was “shameless” that a “black man would criticize our black president,” Cain said: “Contrary to some people’s belief, some black people can think for themselves — and that it includes me.”


Cain also warned the audience that “we’re going to be living in an absolute nightmare” if President Obama is re-elected. But he reassured the audience that in order to defeat Obama, conservatives “don’t have to convert all of the stupid people, just some of them.”

Former White House adviser Van Jones thinks President Obama has already locked up the support of black voters ahead of the 2012 elections, regardless of his views on gay marriage.


"I think if President Obama came out as gay he wouldn't -- President Obama is not going to lose the black vote no matter what he does," Jones quipped Monday on MSNBC, responding to a question from host Alex Wagner about a potential loss of support among African Americans if Obama came out in favor of marriage equality.


"I don't understand this particular strategy," Jones continued. "Certainly, our numbers are a little bit more -- because we're more religious as a community -- a little bit softer on some of this stuff, but it's not a hardcore issue for that many African Americans. In fact, I don't even understand the argument that gay marriage is a threat to marriage."


Wagner then suggested that Obama "is, of course, in support of gay marriage," but couldn't express this belief publicly because of some sort of political pressure or calculation.

For once, Van Jones is right. With the majority of Black Americans voting Democrat because they are afraid to leave the dependency-induced, white-run, morally-bankrupt, social liberal plantation, black liberals would still be so proud of having a half-black President that the majority will pull the lever for him come November no matter what happens and that includes being gay.

Herman Cain Endorses Newt Gingrich for President

Former presidential candidate Herman Cain, who last week endorsed "the American people," announced his support on Saturday of another entity -- this time a Republican hoping to win the White House.


"I hereby officially and enthusiastically endorse Newt Gingrich for president of the United States," Cain said at a GOP fundraiser.


Speaking to supporters on the day he left the race last month, the former head of Godfather's Pizza said he would be making an endorsement. But at the Southern Republican Leadership Conference in South Carolina last week, he announced that his official endorsement would be of "we the people."


While Cain publicly promoted his endorsement last week, the one he made Saturday night came with little warning. The announcement was a surprise to Gingrich staff, and the traveling press who most frequently cover the former House speaker were not in attendance after boycotting the price the campaign was charging for chartered flights.


"There are many reasons, but one of the biggest reasons is that I know that Speaker Gingrich is a patriot. Speaker Gingrich is not afraid of bold ideas, and I also know that Speaker Gingrich is running for president and going through this sausage grinder," said Cain. "I know what this sausage grinder is all about. I know that he is going through this sausage grinder because he cares about the future of the United States of America."


Cain abandoned his presidential bid amongst accusations from women claiming he sexually harassed them while heading the National Restaurant Association in the 1990s. Describing the accusations as false attacks from the media and rivals, Cain's campaign sought to slog through the scandal. That was until a Georgia woman went public claiming to have had an affair with the former businessman for more than a decade.


On Dec. 2, Cain returned to his Atlanta home to meet with his wife and discuss the future of his candidacy. The next day he suspended his campaign.

Herman Cain’s ‘Major Announcement’: ‘I Am Suspending My Presidential Campaign’

The Atlanta headquarters of Herman Cain for President was set to be opened today, but instead of that bureaucratic announcement, today the campaign announced it would make a “major” declaration about… something. Many speculated the campaign was over. There were rumors that Cain campaign staffers knew their fate was sealed. And now, finally, we know what the fuss was about: Cain is suspending his presidential campaign.


With early reports that Cain had arrived at the opening of his Atlanta headquarters accompanied by his previously elusive wife Gloria, pundits speculated for about an extra half hour after the original 1PM announcement time as to what Cain would say– some asserting that he was still in the race, others suggesting he may suspend the campaign for president but continue to campaign for ideas a la Sarah Palin. After the crowd finished an energetic chant of “Gloria!” in support of Cain’s wife, Cain finally put speculation to rest, but not before thanking his supporters for not being “warm weather supporters” and railing against Washington. “They have failed to provide economic growth, failed to get spending out of control failed to make us less dependent on foreign oil,” he argued.


He began to give a short biography of himself and of the Cain campaign, noting that it was “out of frustration that I made the decision to run,” despite not “fitting the usual description” of a presidential candidate. Thanking supporters again, Cain cracked a 999 joke, and then got serious. “We’re in the final four!” he told the audience, a month away from the Iowa caucuses. That said, he turned to the allegations about affairs and sexual harassment. “It distracted my ability to present solutions to the American people,” he noted, though admitted he “made many mistakes in life– everybody has.”


He then turned to the media:


Because of these false and unproven accusations, it has paid and had a tremendous, painful price on my family. These false and unproved allegations continued to be spinned [sic] in the media and in the court of public opinion so as to create a crowd of doubt over me and this campaign and my family. That spin hurts! It hurts my wife, it hurts my family, it hurts me, and it hurts the American people because you are being denied solutions to our problems.


Telling the audience that he is “at peace” with his wife and his family and his God, he explained that “becoming president was plan A,” one he was suspending because of “the continued hurt caused on me and my family, not because we are not fighters.”


The “good” news? CainSolutions.com launches today, Cain “will not be silenced,” and he will be making an endorsement in the Republican field. He then concluded with a spectacular flourish, quoting once again (and admitting this time) the words from Pokemon he used as closing remarks at a Republican debate long ago.

Herman Cain Reassessing Candidacy Amid New Allegations

Men lie. Women lie...you know the rest. My thing is this, if all of these women are lying about Herman Cain either having slept with them or sexually harrassed them, then why isn't Cain suing for defamation of character? I'd think that he'd clearly have a case considering that these heffer's are publicly embarrassing him, damaging his reputation and killing his chance at being President. Bottom line, if they're all lying then where are Cain's lawyers? I'm just saying:

Herman Cain told members of his campaign staff on Tuesday that he was reassessing whether to proceed with his presidential campaign, an aide confirmed, a day after an Atlanta woman disclosed details of what she said was a 13-year affair with him.


In a morning conference call with his advisers, Mr. Cain said that he would make a decision in the coming days about whether to stay in the race after his campaign was rocked by another round of allegations about his sexual conduct.


The call, which was first reported by National Review, came as Mr. Cain was heading to Michigan for a campaign stop on Tuesday evening. He said that he was discussing the future of his campaign with his family and was considering his options.


“This is cause for reassessment,” Mr. Cain said, according to one participant on the call who spoke on condition of anonymity. “During the summer we had to make some reassessments based on our financial situation. We were able to hang in there.”


Mr. Cain denied the accusations from the Atlanta woman, Ginger White. But he acknowledged that the latest report of sexual misconduct might be more difficult to overcome, considering that the first voting is set to take place in five weeks at the Iowa caucuses. He said that he had not lost his enthusiasm to run, but suggested it was a distraction that could be difficult to recover from.


“With this latest one, we have to do an assessment as to whether or not this is going to create too much of a cloud in some peoples’ minds as to whether or not they should support us going forward,” Mr. Cain said, according to the participant on the call.

Herman Cain's Disastrous Interview On Libya

More red meat for the loons out there who've long thought of Cain and his campaign as a joke. What the Left won't admit, however, is that many conservatives (most notably Bill O'Reilly) out there weren't taking Cain seriously before all the sexual harassment allegations came about:

Since becoming the GOP frontrunner, Herman Cain has had to deal with a far greater degree of scrutiny. For the last two weeks, the media has taken a much closer look at allegations of sexual harassment that have dogged his campaign of late, but the more challenging questions have focused on Cain’s readiness for the office of commander in chief. Take, for example, his recent interview with the editorial board at the Milwaukee Journal-Sentinel, in which a seemingly easy question about the Obama administration’s handling of the uprising in Libya threw the GOP presidential candidate for a Rick Perry-esque loop.


Cain’s detractors have consistently dismissed the former restaurant industry executive and motivational speaker, claiming that he is not a serious candidate. The homespun and folksy manner in which he speaks on the campaign trail may have resonated with a disenfranchised Tea Party base, but in the context of actual foreign policy, Cain’s critics see banal and oversimplified explanations. The brain freeze exhibited in the clip below evokes that of Rick Perry’s notorious debate gaffe from last week, though this was in a far less public setting.


If a working knowledge of current foreign policy is a prerequisite to be taken seriously as a presidential candidate, then the following video suggests that Cain is, in fact, not ready for prime time. If his presidential run somehow gets derailed, however, he can still hold on to his dream of becoming the Secretary of Defense.

Celebrity attorney Gloria Allred visited the set of Sean Hannity‘s Fox News program to discuss her client Sharon Bialek‘s much-publicized sexual assault allegations against Herman Cain.

Hannity began by asking Allred whether the possibility of a book deal in the future means her client stands to make rather motivating money off her allegations. “I’ve spoken with her,” Allred responded. “There is no financial motive.” She drove her point home by telling Hannity to “take the book deal off the table; it’s not happening.”


The two eventually became embroiled in an argument over the specifics of Bialek’s account of what happened in or beside or adjacent to a car. Hannity later asked Allred why she didn’t let lay the entire story of what allegedly happened between Cain and her client out on the table instead of essentially teasing that there is “more to come.”


Allred’s response: “Don’t you like surprises, Sean?”


“This is someone’s life!” Hannity argued. “And what about these women?” Allred responded.


“An employer,” she later added, “never admits sexual harassment.” And what’s more, “an employer never admits anything in a settlement agreement.” She also called Cain’s previous claim that he had been merely comparing his first accuser’s height against that of his wife, “preposterous” and a demonstration of “disdain for the common sense of the American public.”

Herman Cain’s Fourth Accuser Alleges ‘He Reached For My Genitals’

Gloria Allred has just introduced the nation to Sharon Bialek, also known as the fourth accuser to allege inappropriate sexual harassment by GOP front runnner Herman Cain. After a long introduction by Allred, Bialek shared shocking details about a meeting she had with Mr. Cain while he was the president of the National Restaurant Association, specifically claiming that Herman Cain reach under her skirt and “reached for my genitals.” The Cain campaign has already released a statement denying that Bialek’s version of events ever took place.


Bialek retold the story of meeting Cain at a restaurant industry event in Chicago. After she had been terminated from a job at the NRA, she was encouraged by her boyfriend at the time to ask Mr. Cain for help in looking for another job. He agreed to meet with her, and when she arrived in Washington D.C, Cain allegedly upgraded her hotel suite, before things got far more interesting…allegedly. The most damning accusation by Bialek was the following passage (rough transcript provided by TVEyes):


At that time I had on a black pleated skirt, a suit jacket and a blouse. He had on a suit with his shirt open. But instead of going into the offices, he suddenly reached over and he put his hand on my leg under my skirt and reached for my genitals. He also grabbed my head and brought it towards his crotch. I was very, very surprised and very shocked. I said, “What are you doing? You know I have a boyfriend. This isn’t what I came here for.”


Mr. Cain said, ‘You want a job, right?’ I asked him to stop, and he did. I asked him to take me back to my hotel, which he did right away.

Howard Kurtz Grills Politico‘s Jonathan Martin On Herman Cain Alleged Sexual Harassment Reporting

On CNN’s Reliable Sources Sunday morning, host Howard Kurtz gave Politico reporter Jonathan Martin a grilling worthy of Bobby Flay over whether the online paper had enough to publish its story on sexual harassment allegations against GOP frontrunner Herman Cain. The answer to that question was obvious, and gave short shrift to several more interesting questions that Kurtz touched on, but that didn’t quite connect.


Kurtz began by asking Jonathan Martin to discuss Politico’s story, and “what it didn’t contain in details.”


He ticked off some of the language from Politico‘s story, which contained somewhat general (but not vague) descriptions of the allegations, then asked, “Why publish the story then when you couldn’t answer the central question, what precisely is herman cain alleged to have done with these women?”


Martin’s response was to point out that their story was well-sourced (“half a dozen sources”), and has been corroborated by other news organizations, as well as the Cain campaign. As to the story’s newsworthiness, Martin didn’t get a single taker when he asked what journalist would not have printed such a story.


Kurtz pressed the issue of whether the report should have been published at all, questioning the “go or no-go decision,” and suggesting that “in a lot of news organizations, an editor would have said, ‘you have done some terrific reporting, you have great leads here, but you don’t have it.’”


Martin countered by pointing out that there was a level of specificity to the allegations they printed (“an explicit sexual overture”) that, while falling short of chapter and verse, certainly met the bar for newsworthiness.


There’s nothing wrong with Kurtz questioning Politico’s reporting, of course (that’s his job), but this appears to be a missed opportunity for him to bring his own expertise as a journalist to bear. Kurtz also questioned Politico’s decision not to print the names of the accusers, when he well knows that such a move would have been inherently unfair, given the legal gag that bound them, and the fact that the women (who are, presumably, not public figures) were not sources in the story. It’s also customary for journalists to exercise additional restraint regarding the identities of victims in sexual offenses.

Bill O’Reilly Asks Dr. Marc Lamont Hill: Where Are Jackson And Sharpton On Herman Cain?

As the Herman Cain potential sexual harassment scandal continues to unfold, Bill O’Reilly has begun to question where civil rights leaders are standing on this issue, particularly Jesse Jackson and Al Sharpton. On his program last night, O’Reilly inquired as to was keeping them quiet, particularly since Cain had himself noted he believed race was a factor in the scrutiny. In a passionate but friendly exchange, O’Reilly challenged Dr. Marc Lamont Hill to give a non-partisan reason for their silence, to which he replied in sum that they had learned their lessons about jumping to defend people without all the facts.


“There’s nothing to jump into the game for,” Hill replied when asked why Sharpton and Jackson had not done so, as “their interest is justice, just like my interest is justice.” “I don’t think anything unjust is happening to Herman Cain,” he argued, noting that, as a presidential candidate, “he’s getting exactly what he deserves.” O’Reilly asked him to clarify, as none of the sexual harassment accusations were specific, to which Hill noted he didn’t believe the presumption of guilt was fair, but that Cain wasn’t receiving that so much as the standard media scrutiny that comes with running for President. Here the two difference. “We have a presumption of innocence in this country, and that is not in play right now,” O’Reilly argued, noting that the presumption of innocence is a cultural courtesy aside from its legal function after Hill argued that Cain wasn’t being convicted of a crime.


O’Reilly insisted that this was a political issue, however, and not a race one. “If this were a liberal politician, you can’t sit there and tell me Jesse Jackson and Al Sharpton wouldn’t be screaming bloody murder,” O’Reilly argued. As they were civil rights activists and this isn’t a civil rights issue, however, Hill contended they had no place in the matter. Neither did they then, O’Reilly replied, with Tawana Brawley or OJ Simpson. “What you’re saying is that they’ve been wrong two times,” Hill replied, “now they should be wrong again with Herman Cain.” O’Reilly replied simply, “that’s rich!”


O’Reilly gave Hill the last word after expressing his very strong disbelief in the idea that Sharpton and Jackson were acting out of a “lesson learned” from past experiences, a point Hill reiterated, adding that the media scrutiny was just for a Presidential candidate.

Herman Cain Responds To Sex Harassment Allegation

Herman Cain's campaign headquarters has released a response to a story, broken this evening on Politico, that in the 1990s two female employees of the National Restaurant Association "complained to colleagues and senior association officials about inappropriate behavior by Cain," who at the time was head of the trade group.


Calling the story "thinly sourced allegations," Cain spokesman J.D. Gordon said: "Since Washington establishment critics haven't had much luck in attacking Mr. Cain's ideas to fix a bad economy and create jobs, they are trying to attack him in any way they can." Gordon did not address any of the specific allegations in the report. Asked for a more specific answer, the campaign did not provide details.

Inside the Beltway media attacks Cain


Fearing the message of Herman Cain who is shaking up the political landscape in Washington, Inside the Beltway media have begun to launch unsubstantiated personal attacks on Cain.


Dredging up thinly sourced allegations stemming from Mr. Cain’s tenure as the Chief Executive Officer at the National Restaurant Association in the 1990s, political trade press are now casting aspersions on his character and spreading rumors that never stood up to the facts.


Since Washington establishment critics haven't had much luck in attacking Mr. Cain's ideas to fix a bad economy and create jobs, they are trying to attack him in any way they can.


Sadly, we’ve seen this movie played out before – a prominent Conservative targeted by liberals simply because they disagree with his politics.


Mr. Cain -- and all Americans, deserve better.


Cain is likely to face questions about the matter on Monday. He is scheduled to appear at the American Enterprise Institute in Washington in the morning to discuss his 9-9-9 tax plan, and then speak -- and take questions -- at the National Press Club at lunch.

Herman Cain’s reign on top of the 2012 contender list may be coming to an end. That’s the impression Karl Rove gave during an appearance on Fox News this morning as he slammed the candidate as having “created an image of him not being up for this task” through a series of blunders.


The conversation began with talk of Cain’s seemingly-confused stance on abortion. However, Rove then continued, pulling out an entire white board filled with missteps Cain had made thus far in the campaign. This all correlated with poll numbers that, according to Rove, show that Cain had already “peaked.”


Of course, it’s possible that one should take Rove’s declaration of the Cain campaign’s death with a pinch of salt. Cain, is a favorite candidate with the Koch Brothers and the Tea Party and, previously, some of the harshest critiques that GOP establishment member Rove has given to Conservatives, have all been directed at Tea Partiers. However, whether Rove was biased in his denunciations of the likes of Christine O’Donnell or not, he was still right in predicting their losses.

Homosexual, Far-Left Sex Columnist Dan Savage Tells Herman Cain To "Suck My Dick"

Again, like drugs, alcohol and the many other vices that human beings take part in, homosexuality is a choice. There is no credible scientific evidence that says otherwise. However, in order to brainwash the uneducated masses and make their immoral, alternative lifestyle choice into a "civil right", gay lobbyists have to assign a genetic biological trait (i.e. "predetermined" and therefore "unchangeable") to homosexuality. Educated people like Herman Cain are aware of this trick and have no problem saying so out loud. So of course, with GOP candidate for president Cain becoming more and popular these days, it stands to reason that a hypocritical, gay, open-relationship supporter, liberal scumbag Dan Savage would respond to Cain in the only way he knows how:

Sex columnist Dan Savage has apparently decided that it has been too long since his political opinions mattered. Having already destroyed Rick Santorum‘s internet reputation, Savage is now taking aim at Herman Cain for repeatedly declaring that he believes sexual orientation to be a choice. If it is a choice, Savage demands, Cain should prove it by performing sex acts on Savage. Yes, it has come to this.


Cain admits to being a social conservative in the way he conducts his life, and in his moral beliefs. He has said that the Bible tells him homosexuality is a sin, and he believes that. He also believes it is a “choice” and has said so repeatedly. But he has, for the most part, refrained from making any comments on how his opinions would translate into law. He has stated he has no problem appointing competent LGBT people to his cabinet. As far as the conservative gay community goes, GOProud head Chris Barron stood up for Cain after his initial homosexuality comments, arguing precisely that his policies would help LGBT people, and his personal views appeared to have no bearing on how he would govern.


Given Cain’s relationship with social libertarians (and gay conservatives), this may have been a bit of an overreaction:

If being gay is a choice, show us the proof. Choose it. Choose to be gay yourself. Show America how that’s done, Herman, show us how a man can choose to be gay. Suck my dick, Herman. Name the time and the place and I’ll bring my dick and a camera crew and you can suck me off and win the argument.

There is a good bit to parse here, so may as well start with the obvious: it is at best megalomaniacal for Savage to assume that being sexually attracted to men necessarily implies being sexually attracted to Dan Savage. Then there is the larger portrayal of gay men– and straight women, to a certain extent– as being so disconnected from their bodily integrity that it is entirely appropriate to demand sexual favors of them. Savage may claim he is attempting to promote the dignity of people born with sexual orientations other than “straight”– or people born attracted to men, whichever the case may be– but how little must he think of the LGBT community to assume that “being gay” consists of fellating complete strangers on demand? It’s like he is seeing the gay community through the prism of a bad George Michael joke. At the very least, he’s not helping any bigots not see the world through the prism of a bad George Michael joke with this letter.

Al Sharpton Defends A White Man's Right To Call A Black Teenager A Coward For Not Participating In Civil Rights Movement

Again, Herman Cain does not get a pass for allowing the condescending prick that is Lawrence O'Donnell to make him look like a buffoon when he went on his show to promote his book the other day. First, Cain looked totally unprepared which says a lot considering that everyone on the planet knows how leftwing MSNBC is (Cain couldn't of thought he was going to get a fair interview). Secondly, why any conservative would go on MSNBC to promote their book is beyond me, it's not like any of the few viewers MSNBC has would have any interest in buying a book authored by a conservative. Third, in defending O'Donnell's right to call out Cain for "sitting on the sideline" during the civil rights movement Al Sharpton loses all credibility. Not that Mr. Race-Baiting, Tawana Brawley Lying, FBI informant, "I'll Never Criticize Barack Obama" had any left. But when you consider that O'Donnell has gotten flack both the Left and conservatives for the 'distressing' racial undertones he put on display during the interview with Cain, one might think that even a total shill like Sharpton would be able to see something a little disturbing there. But instead he deflects, lies and comes off like the total hack that he is:

Lawrence O'Donnell has taken a fair amount of heat for his interview with Herman Cain this week, where the host questioned both Cain’s involvement (or lack thereof) in the Civil Rights Movement and the Vietnam War. Last night, O’Donnell faced a panel made of MSNBC staples Al Sharpton and Melissa Harris Perry and The Grio‘s Goldie Taylor who had a word or two to say about his performance, the strongest coming from Harris Perry, who questioned why white politicians alive at the time did not get “litmus test” questions on their positions on race at the time.


O’Donnell replayed key parts of his interview along with comments Cain made at the Values Voter Summit yesterday accusing O’Donnell of veering into absurdity, and promptly gave the floor to Sharpton, who did not consider any of O’Donnell’s questions out of line. “I don’t see where you instructed him on how to be black or anything else,” he noted, but rather, “it is Mr. Cain who has decided to call blacks brainwashed,” which opened him up to criticism on his positions on the matter. He also argued that Cain attacking the Occupy Wall Street protests made his role in the Civil Rights movement fair game: “How can you call people unamerican for assembling and protesting now and not have considered those same tactics unamerican then?”


Harris Perry was far less comfortable with O’Donnell’s interview, though she did not say anything negative about O’Donnell’s performance but, rather, how his questions reflected the place black politicians have in American society. She told O’Donnell the interview had her “squirming with discomfort” because of the potential “implication that those that did not participate were necessarily cowards,” warning that “we have to be so careful when we are not facing that imminent violence ourselves.” She noted it was only a minority that participated in protests and, furthermore, this was a non-issue for white politicians. “I can’t remember anyone ever asking a white politician who is of the same age where they were during the sit-ins,” she noted, adding that it “worried” her when white politicians did not face the same challenges to their patriotism.


On his end, O’Donnell justified his questions arguing that it was worth putting the questions on the table: “we can go into those conversations without presuming there is a right or wrong answer.” Taylor jumped in to add that had Cain not been “righteously indignant at the questions” but had explained himself in a more appropriate way, or fessed up to simply not participating without being angered by the question, he would have found his response more adequate. Sharpton also added that he felt the questions were appropriate precisely because Cain’s “brainwashed” comment had “totally discarded the fact that it was based on public policy” and the role of Democratic Party had in passing civil rights legislation.

One thing about Herman Cain that I don't like is how he can look brilliant one day and utterly stupid the next. I mean, did he not do any research on what a condescending prick Lawrence O'Donnell is? Did he have no clue that a rapidly leftist station like MSNBC would not treat him fairly? Was he or his team of handlers not aware of how much the mostly-white and liberal MSNBC anchors love to race-bait? Cain just looked so unprepared here and frankly O'Donnell played him for a fool no matter how much of an ass he is:

On “The Last Word” Thursday night, an “offended” O’Donnell accused GOP frontrunner Herman Cain of shirking his duty on both counts.


Quoting from Cain’s book, O’Donnell read, “The civil rights movement was a few years in front of me. I was too young to participate when they first started the freedom rides and the sit-ins. So on a day-to-day basis, it didn’t have an impact. I just kept going to school, doing what I was supposed to do, and stayed out of trouble. I didn’t go downtown and try to participate in sit-ins. Counter to our real feelings we decided to avoid trouble by moving to the back of the bus when the driver told us to. Dad always said, ‘stay out of trouble,’ and we did.”


“Where,” an accusatory O’Donnell asked, “do you think black people would be sitting on the bus today if Rosa Parks had followed your father’s advice?”


Cain explained he was too young to participate, but said had he been in Rosa Parks’ situation, he would have handled himself differently. Also, Cain blasted O’Donnell for taking his book out of context.


Later in the broadcast, O’Donnell took his prosecutorial tone to Cain over his service in the Vietnam War. Cain told O’Donnell he served his country as a civilian, and even offered himself up for the draft. However, the U.S. Navy had told him they would have preferred him in the civilian role, he explained.


That, it seems, wasn’t good enough for O’Donnell.


“I am offended on behalf of all the veterans of the Vietnam War who joined, Mr. Cain,” O’Donnell said. “The veterans who did not wait to be drafted like John Kerry, who joined — they didn’t sit there and wait to find out what their draft board was going to do. They had the courage to join and to go and fight that war. What prevented you from joining, and what gives you the feeling that, after having made that choice, you should be the commander in chief?”


Cain left it at “a difference of opinion,” and asked O’Donnell if they could discuss other issues.

Unemployed Wall Street protesters only have themselves to blame for lacking a job, so says Herman Cain.


The Republican presidential candidate insisted that the demonstrations were being "orchestrated" to help President Obama.


"I don't have the facts to back this up, but I happen to believe that these demonstrations are planned and orchestrated to distract from the failed policies of the Obama Administration," Cain told the Wall Street Journal.


The Tea Party favorite then argued that the plight of the unemployed was their own fault.


"Don't blame Wall Street, don't blame the big banks, if you don't have a job and you're not rich, blame yourself. It is not someone's fault if they succeeded, it is someone's fault if they failed," the ex-Godfather's Pizza CEO declared.


The fiery remarks come as protest organizers plan for their biggest demonstrations yet -- at least 2,000 people are expected to gather in lower Manhattan Wednesday.


Last week, 700 protesters who spilled onto the streets near the Brooklyn Bridge were arrested on charges of disorderly conduct.
