Jack Cafferty: Obama's Threat To Challenge Arizona Illegal Immigration Law 'Utterly Absurd'

For the second time in three days CNN's Jack Cafferty went after the White House for its response to Arizona's new anti-illegal immigration law.

"The Obama administration says it might challenge Arizona's new law in court," Cafferty said during Wednesday's "Situation Room."

"They're apparently concerned the law would take away resources needed to target criminals," he continued.

"How utterly absurd. There are 460,000 illegal aliens currently inside Arizona's borders, and the reason they're there is that the federal government refuses to enforce our immigration laws"

Gotta give to Cafferty, whom I normally dislike, for equally giving it to the Left and Right of late. Guess it really isn't too much to ask a news pundit to be fair and balanced.

Obama's Poll Numbers Are Sinking

Judging from this latest Rasmussen poll, despite what Obama disciples like Jack Cafferty think, it looks like Americans are starting to regret voting for an inexperienced, community activist to be their President:

The Rasmussen Reports daily Presidential Tracking Poll for Tuesday shows that 37% of the nation’s voters now Strongly Approve of the way that Barack Obama is performing his role as President. Thirty-two percent (32%) now Strongly Disapprove giving Obama a Presidential Approval Index rating of +5.

The Presidential Approval Index is calculated by subtracting the number who Strongly Disapprove from the number who Strongly Approve. It is updated daily at 9:30 a.m. Eastern. Updates also available on Twitter.

Overall, 56% of voters say they at least somewhat approve of the President’s performance so far while 43% disapprove. Eighty-seven percent (87%) of Democrats offer their approval while 75% of Republicans voice disapproval. Those not affiliated with either major party are evenly divided.

Now this is change we can believe in.

CNN's Jack Cafferty Admits To Having A "Crush" On Michelle Obama

I think I am developing a crush on America's first lady. Michelle Obama is more compelling than her husband. He's good, but she's utterly fascinating.

Mrs. Obama has blown away the stale air in a White House musty from eight years of the Bushes. It's like the sun came out and a fresh spring breeze began wafting through the open windows.

It's the people's house, and Michelle Obama totally gets it. So much so that she has taken to inviting people in from the streets to see her home. Nice touch -- one completely lacking in her recent predecessors.

Watch her when she visits a local school and you see the warmth and affection she instantly triggers in people. Kids are pretty much totally honest with very good BS-detectors. If they sense you're a phony, forget it. But around the first lady, they want to hug her and laugh with her and tell her stories.

You can see the same qualities these kids recognize in her daughters. She is the consummate mother as evidenced by the poised, polite smiling children she and her husband are raising. I have four daughters, and trust me -- they don't turn out like the Obama children without devoted parents.

I never thought much of Jack Cafferty when he was a local newsanchorman here in NYC. But ever since he crossed over to CNN, he's shown himself to be nothing but yet another liberal stooge acting like a journalist. The fact that he can publicly admit to his bias doesn't make him any less of a prick.
