Sarah Palin Doesn't Know Who Maureen Dowd Is

Too funny:
During a short interview on Fox News yesterday from one of her Tea Party Express stops Fox News contributor Sarah Palin was asked how she felt about Maureen Dowd calling her Queen Bee of the mean girls in her column over the weekend. Said Palin:
That’s so funny, because I don’t think I’ve met that gal, Maureen Dowd, O’Dowd, whatever the heck her name is. I don’t think I’ve met her and she’s probably never met Jan Brewer, or these other wonderful, gracious, nice, hard-working Mama Grizzlies who are wanting to turn this country around.
Probably not. But if they ever do meet someone should sell tickets. Moreover, it’s a shame that Palin doesn’t read MoDo, if she did she would know that Dowd calling other women ‘mean girls’ after the kind of coverage she piled on Clinton and Obama during the 2008 campaign is, to put it mildly, the pot calling the kettle black.

Maureen Dowd Thinks Obama Needs More Black People Around Him

Apparently Maureen Dowd has grown tired of calling President Obama a girl. This week Obama’s problem is a a black one. Again

It must be said that, if nothing else, MoDo is brilliant at taking the week’s news and shaping it into a catchy talking point that will dominate the Sunday shows and at least a few days of morning shows in the week to come. Whether or not Dowd offers any insight or enlightenment regarding the issue at hand long ago seemed beside the point. Here is the latest: “The Obama White House is too white.”

Not one to let Peggy Noonan have all the ‘grown-up’ fun, Dowd adds salt to the wound by implying that Bill Clinton never found himself in this predicament because he “never needed help fathoming Southern black culture.” Which, as Joan Walsh points out, may be the first nice thing Dowd has said about the Clintons in…a very long time.

Dowd, and Congressman James Clyburn whom she quotes, believe that the solution to Obama’s too white White House problem is that he needs to surround himself with more black people:
“The president’s getting hurt real bad,” Clyburn told me. “He needs some black people around him.” He said Obama’s inner circle keeps “screwing up” on race: “Some people over there are not sensitive at all about race. They really feel that the extent to which he allows himself to talk about race would tend to pigeonhole him or cost him support, when a lot of people saw his election as a way to get the issue behind us.
Concludes Dowd in typical form: “The president shouldn’t give Sherrod her old job back. He should give her a new job: Director of Black Outreach. This White House needs one. ”
Funny that a far-Left loon like Maureen Dowd would be pointing this out, but it's about time somebody said it. When it comes to how non-diverse his cabinet is, much less those he's chosen to surround himself with (from Joe Biden on down), Barry really does have an image problem. Too bad the MSM hasn't had the guts to say what surely has crossed the mind of many in the Black community at large: where's the representation? Look up and all you see is Eric Holder and we all saw how a low-level 'sista' like Shirley Sherrod got treated by some of Barry's lily-white cabinet members. But then this is a President who has long made it clear that he wants nothing to do with race and because he's a Democrat he can get away with it.

Maureen Dowd Criticizes Obama's Emotional Detachment

President Obama was supposed to be a soothing change. He had a rough childhood. Michelle once told a friend that “Barack spent so much time by himself that it was like he was raised by wolves.” But he seemed to have come through exceptionally well adjusted. “His aides from the Senate, the presidential campaign, and the White House routinely described him with the same words: ‘psychologically healthy,’ ” writes Jonathan Alter in “The Promise,” a chronicle of Obama’s first year in office.

So it’s unnerving now to have yet another president elevating personal quirks into a management style.
How can a man who was a dazzling enough politician to become the first black president at age 47 suddenly become so obdurately self-destructive about politics?

President Obama’s bloodless quality about people and events, the emotional detachment that his aides said allowed him to see things more clearly, has instead obscured his vision. It has made him unable to understand things quickly on a visceral level and put him on the defensive in this spring of our discontent, failing to understand that Americans are upset that a series of greedy corporations have screwed over the little guy without enough fierce and immediate pushback from the president.

“Even though I’m president of the United States, my power is not limitless,” Obama, who has forced himself to ingest a load of gulf crab cakes, shrimp and crawfish tails, whinged to Grand Isle, La., residents on Friday. “So I can’t dive down there and plug the hole. I can’t suck it up with a straw.”
Granted, there will always be Obama stans who will stick in Barry's corner no matter how much he keeps wrecking havoc on the country, but the big picture remains clear: the Left is starting to realize that Barry's many faults aren't just FOX News talking points, they're real.

Lonely, Miserable Plagiarist Maureen Dowd Slams Sarah Palin Again

The venomous, foul-mouth, childless, husbandless, plagiarist that is
Maureen Dowd just can't let go of her hatred towards a conservative, successful woman with a family who represents everything she's personally against:

She says maybe I didn’t want to go back to the nitty-gritty of Alaska politics after the bright lights of the national campaign.

“The nitty-gritty, like, you mean, the fish slime and the dirt under the fingernails and stuff that’s me?” I said. Awesome response, huh?!!

It’s the same old double standard. I am not one of those who would whine and cuss. It’s just not how I’m wired!!! But the minute I start to whine and cuss, the mainstream media totally misunderstands my verbiage and the combination of things that brought me to this place of knowing. And I know that I know that I know those crappy bloggers will put out more confliction stories.

I keep explaining what impacted me, but everyone seems more confused and ironic than ever. What is it about average, hard-working Americans like me that Americans can’t understand?
To think, Dowd's mom has a lot in common with Gov. Palin--they both didn't abort their autistic children.

Maureen Dowd Admits That She Plagiarized Words From Leftwing Blogger

YahooNews.com:
New York Times columnist Maureen Dowd has admitted to using a paragraph virtually word-for-word from a prominent liberal blogger without attribution.

Dowd acknowledged the error in an e-mail to The Huffington Post on Sunday, the Web site reported. The Times corrected her column online to give proper credit for the material to Talking Points Memo editor Josh Marshall.

The newspaper issued a formal correction Monday saying Dowd "failed to attribute a paragraph about the timeline for prisoner abuse" to Marshall's blog.

The error appeared in Dowd's Sunday column, in which she criticized the Bush administration's use of interrogation methods in the run-up to the Iraq war.

In the original column, Dowd wrote: "More and more the timeline is raising the question of why, if the torture was to prevent terrorist attacks, it seemed to happen mainly during the period when the Bush crowd was looking for what was essentially political information to justify the invasion of Iraq."

Marshall last week wrote virtually the same sentence. But where Dowd's column used the phrase "the Bush crowd was," Marshall used "we were."

Dowd, who won a Pulitzer Prize for commentary in 1999, told The Huffington Post that the mistake was unintentional. She claims she never read Marshall's post last week and had heard the line from a friend who did not mention reading it in Marshall's blog.

Dowd's guilty of plagiarism and at the very least should be suspended. Shows you the credibility of the Pulitzer when an award-winning journalist has to lift sentence's line-by-line from a blogger. Shows you the credibility of the NYTimes' editorial staff that this crime got past them, esp. in light of the Jayson Blair scandal several years ago. Shows you the credibility of Dowd, a writer whose made millions over the years with her radical feminist, hate-filled rants towards men and the Right.

A "friend" gave it to her?!? Anyone who'd buy that line is an idiot.

Maureen Dowd: Still Suffering From Huge BDS

Oh, the poor BDS sufferers on the Left. Our dear 43rd President hasn't made a peep since he left office a month ago and the typical loons on the Left just
can't let him go:
There were clues in the last couple of years that W. and Condi were trying to sidle away from Cheney by using the forbidden strategy of diplomacy in dealing with Iran and North Korea, and by cutting loose Rummy.

As one official who worked closely with both W. and Cheney told The New York Daily News’s Tom DeFrank the last week of the administration: “It’s been a long, long time since I’ve heard the president say, ‘Run that by the vice president’s office.’ You used to hear that all the time.”

The clearest sign of disaffection we have is Bush’s refusal to pardon Scooter Libby, the man known as “Cheney’s Cheney,” despite Vice’s tense and emotional pleading. It was his final, too little, too late “You are not the boss of me” spurning of Dick Cheney.

It may seem pointless for W. to worry about his legacy at this juncture, but he clearly did not want to add a Marc Rich blot to all the other gigantic blots on the copybook.

Because their BDS never ceases to end, now the loons want to create this supposed discord between Cheney and Bush due to Cheney supposedly being pissed that the former President didn't grant a Scooter Libby a full pardon. But here's what the idiots refuse to acknowledge: President Bush stayed true to form in not pulling a Bill Clinton and exploiting his authority to pardon criminals. Liberals all predicted and were ready to gloat the day Bush pardoned Libby, but that day never happened and yet all the BDS-sufferers attacked the President anyway. Bush did enough for Libby in commuting his sentence and if Cheney really is still upset about his not pardoning Libby, he should get over it.
