Promoting underage drinking--it's what an irrelevant, former pop star and Godless liberal does when they're starving for attention:

Madonna is no stranger to controversy, but it doesn't typically involve her children. The Material Girl shared an Instagram picture of her son Rocco Ritchie holding a bottle of gin on Saturday, Jan. 4. Taken in the Swiss Alps, the snapshot also shows the 13-year-old surrounded by two vodka bottles.

"The party has just begun! Bring it! 2014," Madonna, 55, captioned.

The legal drinking age in the United States is 21 years old, and in Switzerland, it's 16 years old. The picture generated more than 1,200 comments in less than 24 hours. "Booze is not something to make jokes about. Period!" one user wrote. Another Madonna fan cautioned, "You gotta know what kind of signals it sends not only to her son, but also to kids around the world."

Some fans came to the family's defense, however. "Rocco is adorable and I think it's really cool that Madonna, and her family, post any pics. Madonna may be a worldwide icon, but she is human like the rest of us," another user reminded the singer's critics. "The picture is what it is. Let it be. Don't speak."

The "Superstar" singer addressed the backlash herself on Sunday, Jan. 5. "No one was drinking we were just having fun! Calm down and get a sense of humor!" Madonna wrote in another Instagram caption. "Don't start the year off with judgement!"

During a 2012 appearance on The Ellen DeGeneres Show, Ritchie said Madonna runs a tight ship. "She's a good mother. Yes. That's all I have to say," he revealed. "She's very strict, but in a good way."

Despite Jenny McCarthy's Vaccination Lies and Fear-Mongering, ABC Hires Her To Co-Host "The View"

On February 28, 1998, a British physician named Andrew Wakefield published a paper in The Lancet that purported to identify a link between the measles, mumps and rubella (MMR) vaccine and the appearance of autism in children. The results provoked a widespread backlash against vaccines, forcing the medical community to spend years attempting to debunk his false claims. Eventually, it was revealed that Wakefield had fabricated his research as part of a scheme that promised him millions of dollars. Wakefield suffered a dramatic public downfall—his medical license stripped, his paper retracted from publication—but the damage was done. His propaganda had led to decreased immunization rates and an outbreak of measles in London.

Wakefield’s falsified claims remain at the core of a stubbornly popular anti-vaccination movement. To this day, despite overwhelming evidence to the contrary, many people believe that vaccines are the principal cause of autistic spectrum disorders.

One of the most prominent promoters of this falsehood is actress Jenny McCarthy, who was recently named as Elisabeth Hasselbeck’s replacement on ABC’s hit daytime talk-show, The View. Once she’s on air, it will be difficult to prevent her from advocating for the anti-vaccine movement. And the mere act of hiring her would seem to credit her as a reliable source.

In 2007, McCarthy debuted her views on the national stage when she appeared on The Oprah Winfrey Show to discuss autism, which is growing at alarming rates and continues to baffle medical researchers. McCarthy was convinced that vaccines gave her son autism and seizures. In addition to a gluten-free diet, aromatherapies, B-12 shots and vitamins, she also tried chelation therapy, which is meant to remove toxic substances from the body. Her son, she claimed, was “cured.”

Within the first few minutes of the interview, McCarthy cited as reasons for her success a “little voice” and her “mommy instincts,” all while denigrating several doctors and EMTs.

Oprah Winfrey’s decision to let McCarthy act as an expert, to dismiss science with alchemy, without asking any tough questions, was unconscionable. The same could be said of the producers of Larry King Live and Good Morning America, both of which hosted McCarthy soon after. Even though they at least asked questions about her views, Larry King had her debate a doctor, as though her disproven ideas should be given the same equivalence as those of a medical expert.

In fact, McCarthy’s beliefs—that vaccines and mercury cause autism, that a good diet cures autism and that “diagnosticians and pediatricians have made a career out of telling parents autism is a hopeless condition”—have been roundly dismissed and discredited by doctors and scientists, who insist that her claims are based on no scientific data or research. McCarthy wasn’t deterred. “The University of Google,” she said to Oprah, “is where I got my degree from.”

Let’s be clear: there is no connection between vaccines and autism.

Despite the evidence, it is easy to understand why the parent of an autistic child—in fear and confusion and desperation—might find McCarthy’s claims enticing. These are parents at their most vulnerable and McCarthy, though perhaps well intentioned, has preyed on them. This fear-mongering is incredibly dangerous, especially when a quarter of parents trust the information provided by celebrities about the safety of vaccines. A movement borne out of Wakefield’s discredited research, animated by misinformation, and promoted by people like McCarthy has fed an anti-vaccine frenzy, leading to a huge spike in cases of whooping cough in communities across the United States, especially in Washington State, which, in 2012, saw its worst epidemic in seventy years.

We see the same dangerous nonsense playing out with the HPV vaccine, a major breakthrough that can prevent cervical cancer and, it was recently found, throat cancer in men and women. Unfortunately, parents studying at McCarthy’s alma mater, the University of Google, are absorbing misinformation and refusing to vaccinate their kids.

It's both amazing and incredibly sad how so many people are so easily influenced by celebrities, who they don't know and will never meet, but read about or see on a screen and think they know all about. Take the case of renowned, Godless, bisexual, man-stealer and actress Angelina Jolie, a reclusive woman "raising" 6 kids while unmarried to fellow actor Brad Pitt.

This week Jolie suddenly came down from the heavens and blessed the unwashed masses with an announcement (in the form of a New York Times op-ed, of course) stating that she had recently undergone a double mastectomy and reconstructive surgery over a period of three months, after her doctor told her that if she didn't do so she could increase the risks of getting cancer.

Like night follows day, Jolie was quickly given the "hero" treatment for her "courage" by a mainstream, liberal press that worships Godless celebrities who promote their morally bankrupt agenda...nevermind the facts.

Like Jolie, a multimillionaire, failing to mention the huge costs (more than $50,000 and most health insurance plans don’t cover double mastectomies) of such an operation.

Or the fact that more than 99% of women do not have BRCA1, the type of gene discovered in Jolie that raises the risk of breast cancer which led to the actress making the "courageous" decision to have a preventive mastectomy in the first place.

Despite these facts, million of women everywhere are thankful that Jolie (who in the past has been given "sainthood" status by the press for her past humanitarian efforts) will get to live longer. Most of these naive women will also make the idiot choice to pursue unnecessary medical attention for something they don't need all because a rich celebrity (along with the mainstream press) gave them the thumbs up to do so.

Neil Cavuto Rips MSNBC And Lawrence O'Donnell for Questioning Ann Romney’s Therapeutic Horse Riding

Glad somebody finally slapped down the racist, creepy, condescending a-hole that is Lawrence O'Donnell:

“I told myself I wouldn’t butt in,” Neil Cavuto told the audience today, before addressing those from “a network with MS in their name” over their mockery of Ann Romney‘s horseback riding. Romney uses horses for treating her multiple sclerosis– an illness Cavuto too has, which led him to explain the legitimacy of this treatment and chide the “condescending, sanctimonious twits” who refuse to acknowledge the legitimacy of MS as a disease and the need to deal with its shortcomings.  


“Because I have MS, my comments might be taken with a grain of pity salt and more than a hint of sympathy bias. Well, guilty as charged,” Cavuto admitted candidly, explaining that this was why he tried to avoid commenting, but “I’ve had enough of condescending commentators on another news channel,” and was concerned that their comments “risk being accepted by an audience that might not know the facts that well.” Explaining that several medical sources find some good in using horseback riding to treat problems with walking in those with MS, he reiterated that “this is a legitimate therapy”– not one he uses, he joked, “because I’m generally bigger than the horses and I don’t want to hurt them.” 

“It seems odd to me a network with the very letters MS in its name wouldn’t resist making fun of someone who has to live with MS every day,” Cavuto continued, “Ann Romney doesn’t need their pity, just their accuracy.” “These guys taking pot shots at Ann Romney are horses’ asses,” he continued, also calling them “condescending, sanctimonious twits who are allegedly healthy,” and their mocking “pure, unadulterated horse… stuff.”

NBC's Nancy Snyderman: It's 'Pro-Science' to Abort Children With Genetic Defects

Wow, white liberals seriously have no moral compass:

On Friday's NBC Today, chief medical editor Nancy Snyderman explained to viewers that it's just good science to abort an unborn child that may have a genetic disorder, explaining that testing for such conditions, "gives parents a chance to decide whether they're going to continue that pregnancy or not. This is the science of today." [Listen to the audio or watch the video after the jump]


Snyderman then predicted: "I think the future will be such that you'll find out that your child may have a genetic hit. You can fix that genetic problem, and improve your chance, a child's chance..." When co-host Savannah Guthrie raised ethical questions about aborting children under such circumstances, Snyderman matter-of-factly replied: "Well, I'm pro-science, so I believe that this is a great way to prevent diseases."


Earlier in the discussion, advertising executive Donny Deutsch raised the possibility of parents using the genetic information to abort children based on superficial preferences: "Look, I'm a pro-choice guy, but at the end of the day what's stopping people, "Oh, my son is going to be blonde, I want..."


Snyderman largely dismissed such concerns: "I get the genetic engineering issue. But the reality is we've already jumped out of that with amniocentesis. So, the science is there. The problem is that science goes faster than we have these societal questions. And that's exactly why we should have these societal questions now."


While Snyderman sounded briefly open-minded on the issue, she soon made her "pro-science" declaration and later completely rejected any legal argument against selective abortions.


Attorney Star Jones raised the possibility: "...at what point will the courts step in and say, 'No, this is too late in the gestation process'?" Snyderman asserted: "They won't. They won't. They won't." Jones responded: "Well, we'll see what's happening in the next presidential election." Snyderman insisted: "Not if you can save a life and prevent a disease. You can't make a case for that."


Later on the show, Snyderman suggested Saudi Arabia had a better record on providing equal pay for working women than the United States.

Another Deadly Taste Of ObamaCare

The US Preventive Services Task Force ruled last week that screening for prostate cancer is a waste of money. 

Get ready for many more such outrages: This is the agency that will determine which preventive services ObamaCare will require health plans to cover free of charge.

The task force claims that screening all adult men with the PSA (protein-specific antigen) test doesn’t prevent death from the disease. It argues that “the number of men who avoid dying of prostate cancer because of screening after 10 to 14 years is, at best, very small.” 

Adding to the “costs” of the test are “false positives” — they tell people they have cancer when they don’t about 10 percent of the time. The task force thinks this problem makes the cost of screening higher than the tiny benefit screening generates for society. 

It’s worth analyzing the road to this conclusion, because it tells us a lot about how ObamaCare rations medicine. 

First, the task force measures the effect of testing on the death rate from any disease (all-cause mortality). That’s a bogus benchmark, because, as John Maynard Keynes famously noted, in the long run we all die. In fact, death rates from prostate cancer have dropped 57 percent among men ages 49 to 64 and 80 percent among adult men over 75. National Cancer Institute data show that prostate cancers are being detected and treated earlier and that life expectancy is rising as a result. 

The task force claims there is no evidence that screening directly reduces prostate cancer. But how, then, did death rates decline, if screening doesn’t work?

It does, of course. As prostate-cancer expert William Catalano notes, PSA screening is why the horror of not diagnosing this cancer until it has metastasized (advanced and spread) has all but disappeared. 

The task force states that because the PSA test is imprecise, it will always lead to overdiagnosis. But false positives are a risk of all screening, and the error rate for prostate-cancer screening is no higher than screening for other illnesses or cancers. 

Catalano also points out that it’s regular testing — not the test being used — that has likely contributed to raising the odds against the disease. 

The task force also claims that the PSA test can’t tell us which tumors to treat. Yet it gives the patient and his doctors time to figure that out. 

For most patients, PSA screening gives a 5-to-10-year lead time — a vital window in which other new techniques (needle biopsies plus improvements in surgery and radiotherapy) can work. 

Finally, the task force argues that PSA testing causes men to suffer from painful treatments and endure anxiety about false-positive results. It doesn’t measure this cost or have any data to support it. Worse, it disregards the scientific evidence that treatments reduce suffering and improve quality of life, even if they don’t always increase survival. 

In reality, this ban is based on politics, not science. The task force — and similar ObamaCare agencies — applies standards that aren’t achievable. Going forward, new technologies would require decades of data and would have to demonstrate they’re nearly 100 perfect before ObamaCare would cover them. 

Unless, of course, the procedure is politically popular: ObamaCare will treat contraception as cost-effective, although there’s no hard data to support that claim. 

The value of health-care services, in other words, will be measured by political criteria, not by their ability to reduce suffering and death. 

That’s an ugly future, indeed.
