Where Are All The Gun Nuts For John White?

John White was a hardworking father, pressed into protecting his family and home by an angry, white lynch mob who showed up at his doorstep bent on vengeance regarding a hoax that one of their own friends set up against Mr. White's son Aaron. Lynch mob leader Daniel Cicciaro was killed when Mr. White's gun off (accidentally according to Mr. White) after he went outside to confront the angry teens who used racial epithets in calling out White's son. And for this "crime" (instead of self-defense) Mr. White was recently convicted of manslaughter while the teens who started this whole mess, trespassed on White's home and threatened him and his family, were never charged with anything.

Pending an appeal (which in part, depends on the fact that two jurors were pressured by the judge in the case to come up with a verdict), Mr. White faces 5 to 15 years for the 2nd-degree manslaughter conviction. And my question is: if the roles had been reversed and was about a white man who shot a black teenager who was part of an angry mob that showed up on his doorsteps, would he have been convicted of any crime? Much less received support from all the NRA-loving, right-to-bear-arms gun nuts who consistently advocate for their gun rights supposedly protected by the 2nd Amendment?

Probably not.

Sean Penn Is Getting A Divorce

Can't help but wonder if Penn's recent endorsement of UFO-believer Dennis Kucinich is when his wife finally decided that she'd had enough:

LOS ANGELES, California (CNN) -- Another Hollywood marriage is ending -- but this one was no flash in the pan.

Sean Penn and Robin Wright Penn are divorcing, according to their representative, Mara Buxbaum. People magazine first reported the split Thursday night.

The actors began dating after they met making the 1990 movie "State of Grace." They married in 1996, and have two children, Dylan Frances, 16, and Hopper Jack, 14.

Previously, Penn was married to Madonna for four years, while Wright was married to actor Dane Witherspoon for two years.

Paris Hilton To Lose Bulk Of Inheritance To Charity

Good.

NEW YORK (Reuters) - U.S. hotel heiress Paris Hilton's potential inheritance dramatically diminished after her grandfather Barron Hilton announced plans on Wednesday to donate 97 percent of his $2.3 billion (1.16 billion pounds) fortune to charity.

That wealth includes $1.2 billion Barron Hilton stands to earn from both the recent sale of Hilton Hotels Corp. -- started by his father Conrad in 1919 when he bought a small hotel in Cisco, Texas -- and pending sale of the world's biggest casino company, Harrah's Entertainment Inc.

That money will be placed in a charitable trust that will eventually benefit the Conrad N. Hilton Foundation, raising its total value to about $4.5 billion, the foundation said in a statement.

Barron Hilton, chairman of the foundation, intends "to contribute 97 percent of his entire net worth, estimated today at $2.3 billion, including the created trusts, at whatever value it is at the time of his passing," the foundation said.

Paris Hilton was not immediately available for comment on her grandfather's plans for his fortune.

By the way, any word yet on whether or not Paris has fulfilled her promise to do more charity work and visit Rwanda following her release from jail back in June? Probably not.

Michelle Malkin Is An Ignoramus

Here's what the anti-illegal immigration yahoos like Michelle Malkin just don't get: your brand of fiery rhetoric concerning illegal immigration is ignorant and doing more harm then good for the cause. Just ask Tom Tancredo, who just tried running for President on anti-immigration platform and was recently forced to drop out because his approach was both bullish and unrealistic.

For starters, carrying the burden for decades of lax immigration laws in today's world when millions upon millions of legal and illegal immigrants have helped build this country is both unfair and a waste of time. And it only caters to extremists on the right side of the aisle absorbed by their own paranoia rather then working on any sort of compromise that can still lead to better border security as well as enforcement of immigration laws that are already in place.

Plus, when it comes to dealing with illegal immigration the Malkin's of the world refuse to look in the mirror. After all, to understand illegal immigration is to understand the existence of a massive wage and standard-of-living gap between the United States and its immediate and most populous neighbor. And then there is the increasing demand for cheap labor in the United States (due in part to the fact that they really will do the jobs that many Americans won't do).

Then too, refusing to listen to any sort of compromise on the issue while consistently pointing out cases of illegal immigrants breaking laws is just the sort of evidence needed for the "summary removal" mentality that the Malkin's of the world have if you were to place them under a lie detector. Or perhaps more notably, it wouldn't be possible without creating mass detention facilities capable of processing them all for deportation. After all, even illegal immigrants are given due process under our system of laws even though the Malkin's and her ilk of course, would prefer it if we thought otherwise.

Syphilis Returns To Europe

Because teaching young adults about abstinence is definitely a stupid thing to do:

LONDON - Syphilis is back: The sexually transmitted disease long associated with 19th Century bohemian life is making an alarming resurgence in Europe.

Syphilis used to be a very rare disease," said Dr. Marita van de Laar, an expert in sexually transmitted diseases at the European Centre for Disease Prevention and Control. "I'm not sure we can say that anymore."

Most cases of syphilis are in men, and experts point to more risky sex among gay men as the chief cause for the resurgence. But more cases are being seen among heterosexuals, both men and women, too.

Syphilis was the sexual scourge of the 19th Century, and is believed to have killed artists like poet Charles Baudelaire, composer Robert Schumann, and painter Paul Gauguin. But the widespread use of penicillin in the 1950s all but wiped it out in the Western world.

In the last decade, however, syphilis has unexpectedly returned, driven by risky sexual behavior and outbreaks in major cities across Europe, including London, Amsterdam, Paris and Berlin.

Hillary's Brother Is Deadbeat Dad

The men in Hillary's life just keep turning out to be such huge disappointments:

December 20, 2007 -- Owe, brother!

Hillary Rodham Clinton's youngest sibling is a deadbeat dad who owes tens of thousands of dollars in child support to his politically connected ex, The Post has learned.

In a disclosure that could prove embarrassing for his sister, Anthony Rodham has stiffed his former wife, Nicole Boxer, out of $75,000 in child support, as well as $55,000 in alimony, a source close to the case said.

Including interest and various fees and expenses, the presidential candidate's brother now owes Boxer - the daughter of Sen. Barbara Boxer (D-Calif.) - more than $158,000, the source said.

The revelation that Rodham is delinquent with his payments won't be a welcome development for Hillary Clinton, coming as the too-close-to-call battle for the Democratic presidential nomination reaches a fevered pitch and with the first votes to be cast in Iowa in exactly two weeks.

Barbara Boxer has not endorsed a candidate in the race.

Guess Who's Back? Why It's John McCain!

Don't count the grumpy, old geezer out just yet:

WASHINGTON -- Arizona Sen. John McCain has surged in New Hampshire in the past month and is now tied with former Massachusetts Gov. Mitt Romney in the state race for the Republican presidential nomination, a poll showed on Thursday.

The survey by the American Research Group found McCain, a strong backer of President George W. Bush's Iraq war strategy, had 26 percent support, up from 11 percent in a poll in late November.

He was tied with Romney, who had dropped 10 percentage points since the last survey.

New Hampshire is one of the hotly contested early primaries in the state-by-state process to pick the Democratic and Republican candidates who will face off in the November 4, 2008, presidential election.

Just three weeks before the January 8 vote, former New York Mayor Rudy Giuliani dropped to 16 percent from 22 percent, according to the poll of 600 likely Republican primary voters living in New Hampshire.

Jamie Lynn Spears Is 16 And Pregnant

Well, I guess the apple really doesn't fall too far from the tree:
Jamie Lynn Spears, the 16-year-old star of the popular Nickelodeon series “Zoey 101” and the sister of the troubled singer Britney Spears, 26, said she was 12 weeks pregnant by her boyfriend, Casey Aldridge, The Associated Press reported. “It was a shock for both of us, so unexpected,” Jamie Lynn told OK! magazine. “I was in complete shock, and so was he.”

Her mother,
Lynne Spears, said: “I didn’t believe it because Jamie Lynn’s always been so conscientious. She’s never late for curfew. I was in shock. I mean, this is my 16-year-old baby.” Jamie Lynn said she planned to rear the baby in her home state, Louisiana, “so it can have a normal family life.”

In a statement, Nickelodeon said: “We respect Jamie Lynn’s decision to take responsibility in this sensitive and personal situation.” The third season of “Zoey 101” ends on Jan. 4. Filming of the fourth season, beginning in February, has been completed.
While Jamie Lynn should be commended for choosing to have the kid, there's a lot of irony here that speaks directly to how liberals treat teen sex, while running away from the consequences that come with it. First, in reporting this story the media has made it clear that they care less about the father's role in all of this, not to mention that because he's 18, he could be arrested for statutory rape. Then of course, there's the clueless parents who for years stood by and watched eldest daughter Britney toss aside all sense of values to exploit sex (to the delight of perverts everywhere) for financial gain . . . one can only wonder how Britney's still very public and troubled life has effected Jamie-Lynn (and only an idiot would equate their kid making "curfew" to not having sex). Plus, let's not forget Hollywood role in the sex-saturated culture that teenagers are engrossed with now as well as the liberal media's role in consistently bashing abstinence-education. It all ads up to why teenagers like Jamie Lynn Spears growing up faster then they should have to. But hey if you're a liberal what do you care? After all it's not your 16-year-old kid that's about to deliver a child into this world and become the poster-child for teenage sex everywhere.

Rudy Giuliani's Losing Campaign

Stick a fork in him:

With fewer than 20 days until the Iowa caucuses, three men in the Republican Party stand to get their tickets punched out of the Hawkeye State.

While everything is still in flux, those likely winners will be Mitt Romney, Mike Huckabee and Fred Thompson.

Notably missing out on Iowa’s political rocket fuel is national frontrunner Rudy Giuliani.

While most political insiders and pundits have known for months that Giuliani had no plans to compete in Iowa, the general American electorate probably does not. Known to not pay attention to the early political pontificating, the average voter may wonder where the former New York mayor is when the big news the next day is not about him.

Giuliani went into the campaign season with an unconventional strategy that quickly became all the buzz: Skip Iowa, be respectable in New Hampshire, then head to delegate-rich Florida. The strategy for his campaign was never about momentum; it was always about maximizing his delegate count.

An unconventional Republican primary candidate, Giuliani knew he would be shunned by the ultraconservative activists in early states. His personal Iowa is Super-Duper Tuesday, Feb. 5, which has the motherlode of delegates, who happen to be moderate Republicans. Sounds perfect, right?

Maybe. If he can hold on. But right now, the Giuliani story is that his gamble is quietly becoming the incredible shrinking campaign.

“From a historical perspective,” says Matt Lebo, a political science professor at State University of New York at Stony Brook, “his strategy is clearly a losing strategy.”

Pamela Anderson Makes A Mockery Of Marriage Once Again

To be fair, when you got idiots like Pamela Anderson running around treating the institution of marriage like changing underwear (she married 1st hubby Tommy Lee, divorced him, then married him again then she married Kid Rock, had a bunch of marriage "ceremonies" with him and divorced him 4 months later and now lasts 2 months with this new dude), it makes it just a little bit harder to talk about the institutions sanctity to yahoos like these. But then, to be fair to Pam, she still has a ways to go before she catches up to that old skank Elizabeth Taylor (8 marriages to 7 different husbands).

LOS ANGELES (AFP) — Former "Baywatch" star and pin-up queen Pamela Anderson has filed for divorce from her third husband, less than three months after tying the knot, court documents showed on Monday.

Anderson, 40, filed for divorce from Rick Salomon in the Los Angeles Superior Court on Friday, citing irreconcilable differences just 70 days after the couple got married in Las Vegas on October 6, documents showed.

However, later Monday, in a cryptic message posted on her official website, Anderson hinted that the marriage might yet be saved. "P.S. We're working things out," the message in Anderson's diary remarked, without referring to the divorce. Anderson's spokesperson could not be reached for comment.

Woah, Jodie Foster Is A Lesbo?!?

Just in case you missed it, longtime overrated actress Jodie Foster finally dispelled rumors and "came out of the closet" in thanking her longtime "partner" at some award ceremony the other day:

LOS ANGELES: After guarding her private life fiercely for 15 years, Hollywood actress Jodie Foster has publicly acknowledged her lesbian partner.

The two-time Oscar winner thanked "my beautiful Cydney" after winning an award at the Women in Entertainment Power 100 breakfast in Los Angeles.

She went on to praise Cydney Bernard, saying the film producer "sticks with me through all the rotten and the bliss".

Foster reportedly met Bernard on the set of the movie Sommersby in 1993. The actress later gave birth to sons Charles, 9, and Kit, 6, but has never revealed the identity of the father or the circumstances of the boys' conception.

Despite more than a decade of speculation, questions over the paternity of her sons and critics calling for her be "out and proud", Foster has refused to discuss her sexuality.

And in other news from Channel Zero: the sun is bright, smoking is bad for your health and liberals are idiots.

Barbara Walters Hates Christians

The founder of the leftist propaganda-fest that is "The View" owns up to her own hatred for Christianity:

New York (AHN) - Veteran interviewer and "The View" co-host Barbara Walters publicly expressed confusion and criticism over a Christmas card she received from President George Bush and First Lady Laura. Walters commented on the overly Christian message written on the card.

"Usually in the past," Walters said, "when I've received Christmas cards, it's been 'Happy Holidays' and so on."

The card, however, featured the verse:

"You alone are the Lord. You made the heavens, even the highest heavens, and all their starry host, the earth and all that is on it, the seas and all that is in them. You give life to everything, and the multitudes of heaven worship you. NEHEMIAH 9:6 (NIV)"

The Huffington Post added that the card also bore the message, "May the joy of all creation fill your heart this blessed season 2007," followed by the signatures of the First Couple.

Walters, who showed the card along with others she received from public figures, asked, "Does this also go to agnostics, and atheists, and Muslims?"

Although the President of the United States reaches out to her in a kind gesture, Barbara Walters can't resist taking a cheap shot at him and Christians in general--yet another reason why you can't take "The View" seriously as a show that was born out of the idea of representing the thoughts of the average American woman. "The Views" panelists are mostly liberals and the views of the only conservative, Elisabeth Hasselbeck, are often shouted down, dismissed or derided. Then too is the fact that the "The View" has rarely featured Hispanic or Asian women on their panel, huge demographics both in the USA. But then the need to make a condescending remark about Christianity by using people who've already dismissed God as a part of the their life, shows you to what lengths liberals will go to just to denigrate anyone who doesn't share their views. Of course, what should one expect from a woman who once hired notorious uber-loon Rosie O'Donnell.

Barack Keeps Making Hillary Look Stupid

Message to Campaign Hillary: Don't mess with Barack because it's making you look dumber and dumber every time you try:

In a rare highlight, Obama was put on the spot when asked why so many of his advisors had worked in former president Bill Clinton's administration.

Clinton laughed out loud, saying, "I want to hear the answer to that!" before a poised Obama delivered a killer punchline: "Well, Hillary, I look forward to you advising me, as well."

The exchange encapsulated a shift in the visual dynamic of the race, as Clinton appeared like a hard charging underdog, and Obama more like a front-runner with the luxury of hitting his rival on the counter-attack.

In a personal appeal to Iowa voters, Obama, a first-term Illinois senator trying to become America's first African-American president, said he felt an urgency to heal a nation at war, and a planet in peril.

Mike Huckabee Is Not A Flip-Flopper

The loons are out with their hatchets, but Mike Huckabee refuses to budge. Gotta' respect the guy:

His past comments on AIDS were among 229 answers he offered in a questionnaire during his first run for political office. On the issue of homosexuality, Huckabee described it as “an aberrant, unnatural and sinful lifestyle.”

On Monday, Huckabee said he still stands by those remarks.

“Let’s understand what sin means,” he said. “Sin means missing the mark. Missing the mark could mean missing the mark in any area. We’ve all missed the mark.”

He described the “proper relationship” as one between a married man and woman having children.

“If we didn’t have that as the ideal, we wouldn’t have a civilization that was able to perpetuate,” he said. “So, rather than read into something incredibly out of line, just read into the fact that I believe that the ideal relationship is one man, one woman, pro-life.”

Huckabee has rapidly risen in polls lately, attracting national attention but also drawing attacks from rivals. Recent polls show Huckabee leading in Iowa, displacing former Massachusetts governor Mitt Romney from the top position, and also leading in some South Carolina polls where former New York Mayor Rudy Giuliani was the frontrunner.

Huckabee's in the driver's seat now and he's looking more and more like a man actually prepared to win this thing (unlike Fred Thompson). Then too you'd be an idiot to take for granted a man who had the discipline to lose a 110 pounds at one point in his life.

Crazy Cynthia McKinney Is Running For President

I'd be lying if I said that I hadn't wondered what loony 'ol girl was up to these days and now I know:

MADISON, Wis. (AP) - A former Georgia congresswoman running for president on the Green Party ticket is making a campaign stop in the Capitol in Madison.

Cynthia McKinney's supporters include those who believe the United States was behind the Sept. 11 terrorist attacks.

McKinney says she is pushing a true peace agenda and advocating for radical common sense.

She is 1 of at least seven Green Party candidates for president.

McKinney served five terms in Congress but lost the 2006 Democratic Party primary after she had a scuffle with a Capitol Hill police officer.

So Cynthia's running for president and her support base are the insane 9/11 Truthers (how fitting)? Yeah, she has as much chance at being President one day as I do.

Another Hillary Staffer Caught Trying To Disparage Barack Obama

Starting to get the feeling that Hillary's hires her staff from the loons who make up DKos commenters:

DES MOINES, Iowa (AP) — Hillary Rodham Clinton's campaign on Sunday requested the resignation of a second Iowa volunteer coordinator who forwarded a hoax e-mail saying Barack Obama is a Muslim possibly intent on destroying the United States.

Obama is a member of the United Church of Christ and says he has never been a Muslim, but false rumors attempting to tie him to Islamic jihadists are circulating on the Internet.

"Let us all remain alert concerning Obama's expected presidential Candidacy," read the e-mail. "Please forward to everyone you know. The Muslims have said they Plan on destroying the US from the inside out, what better way to start than at The highest level."

The Clinton campaign has decried the rumors as offensive and outrageous, and last week forced volunteer Jones County coordinator Judy Rose to resign after learning that she forwarded a such an e-mail on Nov. 21. But it turns out Rose wasn't the only one.

Linda Olson, a volunteer coordinator in Iowa County, had forwarded a similar version on Oct. 5, without comment, to 11 people. One of the recipients was Ben Young, a regional field director for Democrat Chris Dodd's campaign, who provided a copy to The Associated Press on Sunday.

The Clinton campaign responded by asking for Olson's resignation.

Helen Thomas: Insane Liberal of the Week

Age: 87

Birthplace: Winchester, Kentucky

Claim To Fame: news service reporter, Hearst Newspapers columnist and member of White House Press Corps

Why She’s the most Insane Liberal of the Week: for picking a fight with White House spokesperson Dana Perino this past week. In a press conference on Wednesday Thomas directly asked Perino about the “number of innocents killed in Iraq”—a tired line long used by liberals to paint our troops as nothing but mindless marauders. Mind you, Thomas, a journalist with over 50 years of experience in news, is the same woman who once said of President Bush: “I’m covering the worst president in American history.”

An obviously upset Perino took offense at Thomas’ line of questioning, apparently believing Thomas was suggesting that U.S. forces deliberately killed innocent Iraqis, a suggestion she called “absurd and very offensive.” Ms Perino acknowledged that “to the extent that any innocent Iraqis have been killed [by U.S. forces], we have expressed regret for it.” But that wasn’t good enough for Thomas as the old far-Left loon responded with “a regret doesn’t bring back a life.”

No class. No shame. No integrity. And how sad it is when someone who is supposed to report the news tries to create it, but what else should one expect from a liberal hack posing as a journalist?

George Soros Doesn't Care About The Poor

The evil King Of All Liberals throws his loot in the face of the underprivileged living in Romania and laughs:

Being a billionaire certainly has its advantages. You can throw your money around and get what you want, and in the case of leftwing billionaire George Soros, what he wanted was a proposed gold mine killed that would have brought economic prosperity to an impoverished village in Romania. Soros, who has investments in rival gold mining companies, organized opposition to the project via his Open Society Institute in Romania, working hand-in-hand with several non-Romanian NGOs against the project.

If Soros was a rightwing billionaire, his efforts and intervention in this matter would no doubt be scrutinized by the American media and held up as an egregious example of capitalism run amok and of undue Western interference in the affairs of another country.

But Soros is a primary funder of the American Left, and as such his activities get little scrutiny from a politically sympathetic American media. That's a shame. Because the shutdown of Gabriel Resources' mining project in Rosia Montana, Romania, means an immediate loss of hundreds of jobs and a long-term loss of perhaps thousands of jobs created at the mine and spillover economic growth in the impoverished region.

It also means that the existing shuttered mine, an open pit of environmental waste that continues to befoul the region, will not be cleaned up any time soon.

The people of the Rosia Montana region have witnessed the execution of their economic future. The fingerprints of George Soros are all over the gun, but the American media looks the other way.

There's more coverage of the situation at ResourceInvestor.com and Canada's National Journal. George Soros. What an ass.

Abortion Linked to Breast Cancer?

Newsmax:

According to a new study published in the Journal of American Physicians and Surgeons, young women who had an abortion before having a child are at the greatest risk for developing breast cancer.

The study’s lead author Patrick Carroll calls abortion the single “best predictor” of breast cancer trends.

“An abortion in a young woman who has never had a child has a carcinogenic effect because it leaves breast cells in a state of interrupted hormonal development in which they are more susceptible,” says Carroll, director of research at PAPRI (Pension and Population Research Institute) in London.

The study adds fuel to the already fiery debate between abortion-rights advocates who believe the option to terminate a pregnancy is a basic right, and abortion foes who believe the procedure is morally and ethically wrong.

Abortion-rights proponents argue Carroll’s findings are weak and deny there is a connection between the rise in breast cancer and an increase in abortions.

If this turns out to be true, it could really cut into Planned Parenthood's profit margin.

Mychal Bell Doesn't Deserve Anyone's Sympathy

Mychal Bell, the most well-known of the "Jena 6", has reached a plea agreement with prosecutors. He'll get an 18 month sentence to a juvenile facility and receive credit for time served. He will serve about 8 more months before being released.

Bell's attorneys said they agreed to the plea bargain to spare the former high school football star the danger of being convicted of more serious charges and also to win early release from juvenile custody.

In October, Mauffray sentenced Bell to 18 months in a juvenile facility for four prior juvenile convictions for battery and destruction of property. But under the terms of Monday's plea agreement, that time will be served concurrently with the new 18-month sentence for the Dec. 4 attack, and Bell will get credit for the nine months he spent in jail while awaiting trial. His attorneys said he could be released by June.

Mychal Bell is no hero, far from it. But liberals will have you believe that Bell is a hero because for once, he got an unfair shake from a criminal justice system he was already well familiar with. That's right, while liberals (like mice being led by Pied Pipers named Al and Jesse), marched up-and-down through Louisiana back in September for the now notorious "Jena 6", they righteously ignored that fact that Mychal Bell participated in the beat-down of a white teenager who had absolutely nothing the "noose hanging" incident that ignited the whole "Jena 6" celebre to begin with. A beatdown of an innocent victim that wasn't provoked by any sense of moral retribution, but pure anger and utter revenge. And for one of its participants, it wasn't the first time they were involved in a violent act. In fact, Mychal Bell was already on probation for a prior arrest even before he attacked Justin Barker. In addition, he had already violated his probation with three other arrests. Rumor has it that Bell beat an ex-girlfriend so badly once that her eye became dislocated from its socket (how ironic in that Barker was blinded in one eye for 3 weeks after he caught a Bell beatdown).

The fact is that since he was already a convicted felon, Mychal Bell deserved to be prosecuted and should've gotten a lengthy sentence for beating up Barker. As what's been lost in liberal outrage at Mychal Bell's original sentence is that Bell was already a young man prone to violence quickly heading down a road in which he'll either end up dead or in and out of jail for the rest of his life if he doesn't look in the mirror and take responsibility for his life. Indeed, while the Jena Six case has been both edgy and controversial, it has put a much-needed face on the troubling racial bias in the criminal justice system, particularly in the South. But Mychal Bell should not be its poster boy, because to do so sets a dangerous precedent in putting a man on a pedestal he has no interest in being on or deserve to be anywhere close to.

Rudy Giuliani Cavorted With Ex-Mistress Judi Nathan On NYC Taxpayers Dimes

Not only is Rudy Giuliani a liberal, a racist, an adulterer, a liar, a bad father, an exploiter of 9/11 and an abortion & gay rights supporter, but now he has some serious explaining to do to the people he reigned over for 8 long and brutal years:

In the fall of 2001, city cops chauffeured Rudy Giuliani's then-mistress, Judith Nathan, to her parents' Pennsylvania home 130 miles away on the taxpayers' dime.

Records show that city cops refueled at an ExxonMobil station down the road from Nathan's childhood home in Hazleton on Oct. 20, 2001, while Giuliani stayed behind in New York attending 9/11 funerals.

A similar receipt pops up at a different Hazleton gas station two months later, when Nathan apparently went home for a pre-Christmas visit with her parents.

The records show that - in addition to using City Hall funds to take Giuliani and Nathan to 11 secret trysts in the Hamptons, as has been previously reported - taxpayers were paying to ferry Nathan on long-distance trips without Giuliani, now a Republican contender for President.

Aides to the presidential hopeful insisted Friday that all the expenses were legitimate - although Mayor Bloomberg's gal pal, Diana Taylor, happily goes without police protection.

In Support Of Dina Matos McGreevey

Amazing. The disgrace that is Jim McGreevey is still up to his old tricks:
Former New Jersey governor Jim McGreevey is embroiled in an ugly squabble with his ex-wife about the date and time of their six-year-old daughter’s birthday party. The still-gay-as-rain McGreevey and his partner planned to have a birthday party consisting of 20 kids, ponies and a face-painter at his house this Saturday, but ex-wife Dina Matos McGreevey says that’s her day to spend with their daughter.

Union County Superior Court judge Karen Cassidy decided the ex-guv can have the party, but then lambasted both parents in the courtroom for their unhealthy bitterness towards each other: “The hatred these two seem to have for each other seems to override the love for the child in my mind because it’s so out of control.”

Later, the judge said the situation was “sad” and said she felt like “the only one protecting” the kid. No word on whether Cassidy will have a hand in selecting the child’s eventual therapist and anxiety medication.

My beef here is with the judge including Dina Matos McGreevey in her tirade, especially considering it was her court-ordered weekend to spend time with the daughter and it was that wuss Jim McGreevey who brought this ridiculous birthday-party case to court instead of trying to work it out with his ex-wife. But I guess we should expect this kind of thing from Jim "I Am A Gay American" McGreevey--a man who put his ex-wife through years of emotional abuse with all his lies and gay affairs, yet was somehow supported by the Gay Mafia because he's now one of them. Dino Matos McGreevey has every right to hate her ex-husband, but as a mother she should always look out for her child's best interests and keep that hate bottled up. Even worse for Dina is that she hasn't gotten the sole custody of her daughter that she richly deserves, that way she wouldn't have to deal with her abusive ex-husband ever again.

Shed Few Tears For Emily Sander

Sad, but not shocking:

Authorities said the preliminary physical description of the body found about 50 miles east of El Dorado matches that of missing college student Emily Sander. Investigators refused to give details about the state of the body or how it was found.

Sander's case drew wide attention after it was revealed that she appeared nude on a popular adult Web site under the name Zoey Zane. That site was temporarily inaccessible Thursday, as were several sites that bill themselves as "fan" sites of Zane.

But Police Chief Tom Boren insisted Thursday that Sander's Internet activity had no connection to her disappearance.

"The issue of the Internet and the spinoff of that has been literally crippling our investigation," Boren said. Police said publicity about Sander's explicit photos brought a flood of tips, many of them false leads.

Boren said the cause of death was not yet known. An autopsy is planned.

So yet another national alert goes up for a Pretty Young Missing White Girl (meanwhile, some two years later, Stepha Henry is still missing and CNN, CBS, MBNBC, et al could care less about that) and it turns out that she was a budding porno star on the side. Yet, the police, who seemed to have just found the body, want us to believe that there's no possible link between Emily Sander's lifestyle choice and her death.

Yeah ok.

Emily Sander was not a wholesome girl, she was a porn starlet who had over 30,000 subscribers on her adult website. One can imagine that she led a life that was not only exceedingly immoral, but fast, loose and dangerous. Yet, one has to wonder what would make any young woman want to live a life of porn? But we don't have to look any farther than the world we live in to answer that question. After all, we live in a world where we duck from personal responsibility and core moral values are being undermined the media and MTV--to the point that even the dirty and disgusting porno industry is becoming more and more accepted in mainstream society. And Sander's family was supposed to be "shocked" at the news that the young girl was an internet porn queen? Or is is that the family is just ducking from the responsibility they had in the girl's life?
It's far less likely that the family are behaving honestly if they had permissive feelings concerning towards moral issues like divorce, sex, homosexuality and abortion. Far more likely that Emily Sander would still be alive if God, values and self-respect had played an important role in her life.

Pat Sajak Quote of the Day!

"If any group of citizens is uniquely unqualified to tell someone else how to vote, it’s those of us who live in the sheltered, privileged arena of celebrityhood. It’s one thing to buy an ab machine because Chuck Norris recommends it (he’s in good shape, isn’t he?) or a grill because George Foreman’s name is on it (he’s a great guy, so it must be a great grill!), but the idea of choosing the Leader of the Free World based on the advice of someone who lives in the cloistered world of stardom seems a bit loony to me."

"Only Giuliani Can Beat Hillary" Creed Proving False

The liberal media, Rudy himself and many a so-called 'expert" conservative pundit have all done a great job in getting many GOP voter to toss all their convictions aside and support Giuliani's bid for the nomination despite the fact that the ex-mayor of New York is nothing but a liberal on sheep's clothing. Yet, according to a new Zogby Poll (h/t Conservative Belle), the hysteria built around Only-Rudy-Can-Beat-Hillary is turning out to be nothing more than just that . . . hype.

Democrat Hillary Clinton would lose to all major Republican White House candidates, according to a hypothetical election matchup poll Monday, reversing her months of dominance over potential 2008 challengers.

The Zogby International poll was the latest sign that withering attacks on the former first lady were chipping away at her opinion poll leads just 38 days before the Iowa caucuses, the first party nominating contests.

In the new survey, Clinton trailed Senator John McCain 42 percent to 38 percent, former New York mayor Rudolph Giuliani by 43 percent to 40 percent and former Massachusetts governor Mitt Romney by 43 percent to 40 percent.

She also lagged behind former Arkansas Republican governor Mike Huckabee by 44 to 39 percent, and former Senator Fred Thompson by 44 to 40 percent in hypothetical general election matchups.

Meanwhile Hillary and Barack Obama are now tied in Iowa. Seems to me that all the sludge in Hillary's past is finally catching up to her.

Stephen King Is A Total Prick

Proof that even brilliant writers can suffer from moments of Bush Derangement Syndrome:

New York, NY (AHN) - In an interview with TIME magazine, horror fiction author Stephen King dropped a political bomb, suggesting that President George Bush's daughter Jenna be subjected to waterboarding, so she could give feedback to her father afterwards on whether or not the process actually is "a form of torture."

"Someone in the bush family should actually be waterboarded so they could report on it to George," King said, recalling his conversation with a person from the news program Nightline. "I said, I didn't think he would do it, but I suggested Jenna be waterboarded and then she could talk about whether or not she thought it was torture."

Used as an interrogation technique, waterboarding has been under harsh criticism, with people identifying it to be a form of torture. Government officials, however, have refused to acknowledge whether or not the method is considered torture under American law.

What a prick! I have no idea what King's political leanings are, but judging from this stupid statement, it's easy to guess that he's probably another limousine liberal. Because liberals just can't argue political points without making personal insults. Yet why be offended? After all free speech is part of what makes America so great. But can you imagine any public figure in Venezuela, what with El-Presidente-for-Life Hugo Chavez in charge, putting down a member of Chavez's family? Of course not. And why do liberals never suggest that FDR or Harry Truman should've sent their kids to war? Could it be because they were both Democrat Presidents? Of course. And hey, despite the fact that Jenna Bush's humanitarian service would beat the pants off of probably every single idiot liberal who's ever insulted her, what as long as she's the President's daughter, if you're a liberal she's fair game . . . because that's the sick playbook they go by.

Even Robert Redford Thinks Al Gore Is Full Of Shit

Geez, just a couple of weeks ago I nominated this guy for Insane Liberal of the Week, and now he goes off railing against the Goracle. Wonder if Redford reads this blog?

Redford was an early convert to the environmental movement, and talks proudly of having campaigned on it since 1969. "It was not a happy easy time, because those were the days that the oil and gas companies pretty much controlled the show on propaganda. Anyone speaking about solar energy would be smashed down as being a radical, a tree-hugger and granola-cruncher or what have you."

He is notably cynical, however, about Al Gore's recent award of a Nobel Peace Prize. "He's making a lot of money, he's having a belle époque, a heroic moment," he says. "It must have been really hard for Gore to suffer all that [losing the presidential election], so he found another thing to come back with: the environment. He had a lot of money behind him, because in Clinton's administration there was a lot of money. With that he was able to build himself a new campaign and pick an issue. And he picked an issue that just happened to arrive at its moment in time." The less-than-subtle subtext is that Gore is an arriviste, while Redford has been out there, a grizzled loner, bearing the jibes and right-wing clobbering before the environmental cause was fashionable. Asked why he thinks Gore is not going back into politics, he says: "What's most important - to be a hero to your country and go save it . . . or do you want to be happy and rich and be a hero and not get into the political scene?"

Hmmm.....the Goracle, an opportunist? Nah, it just can't be true.
