Rush Limbaugh: Straight People ‘Under Assault by the 2 to 5 Percent That Are Homosexual’

Just the facts people:

In taking on the Michael Sam coming-out story Tuesday, Rush Limbaugh asked why, in his belief, homosexuality always comes with a political agenda. He found it striking that homosexuals have activists but heterosexuals don’t, claiming that the majority is “under assault by the two to five percent of the country.”

“Why does homosexuality have a political agenda?” he asked. “Why is there anything political about homosexuality while heterosexuality has no political agenda and there is no agenda attached to it?”

Limbaugh sarcastically wondered why it is considered progress for a gay man to join the NFL when people were outraged about concussions and other dangers of playing football. At various points during the segment, Limbaugh was interrupted by people “shouting” at him who were saying, as Limbaugh put it, that “the media wants a gay football player to succeed.”

Missouri All-American defensive end Michael Sam says he is gay, potentially paving the way for the first openly gay NFL player.

In interviews with ESPN, The New York Times and Outsports that were published Sunday, Sam said his teammates and coaches at Missouri have known since August.

"I am an openly, proud gay man," he said.

The 255-pound Sam participated in the Senior Bowl in Mobile, Ala., last month after leading the SEC in sacks (11.5) and tackles for loss (19), and he is projected to be a mid-round NFL draft pick.

"It's a big deal. No one has done this before. And it's kind of a nervous process, but I know what I want to be ... I want to be a football player in the NFL," he said in the interviews.

Sam also started a Twitter account Sunday night after the news broke, thanking people for their support.

Richard Sherman on Being Called a Thug: ‘It’s the Accepted Way of Calling Somebody the N-Word’

Seattle Seahawks cornerback Richard Sherman held a press conference Wednesday in which he addressed the backlash to his fiery post-game rant this week and the fact that so many people called him a thug. In fact the word was dropped quite a lot this week, and Sherman said it’s “disappointing” to hear so many people use the term. He even went so far as to say it’s a more socially acceptable way of calling someone a n*gger.

Sherman’s comments drew out some real racism online, with people actually dropping the n-word to disparage him, but most people stuck to criticizing him as a “thug.” Sherman already addressed that term in a column he wrote, but today he went one step further to fire back against that particular criticism.

“It seems like it’s the accepted way of calling somebody the n-word nowadays. It’s like everybody else said the n-word and then they say ‘thug’ and they’re like, ‘Oh, that’s fine.’”

He continued on to say, “I know some thugs, and they know I’m the furthest thing from a thug,” admitting it’s been “frustrating” and “disappointing” to hear that word used against him.

Gay Mafia Going After Former Boxing Champion Evander Holyfield For Making Christian Comments On Homosexuality

Former world heavyweight boxing champion Evander Holyfield has been reprimanded by the bosses of a British reality TV show for saying being gay "ain't normal."

Holyfield compared being homosexual to being born with a deformed leg, saying "you go to a doctor and get it fixed back right." He also said it was "a choice" to be gay.

The 50-year-old American made the comments during a conversation with a fellow contestant on Celebrity Big Brother in an episode that was aired Sunday in Britain.

Program officials told Holyfield these "aren't the views that are held by a large section of society, and expressing these views will be extremely offensive to many people."

Holyfield was warned to "consider very carefully the effects expressing such views may have."

Bitter, Self-Righteous Gay Advocate and Former NFL Punter Chris Kluwe Accuses Team of Bigotry After They Released Him

NFL.com:

Former Minnesota punter Chris Kluwe says his special-teams coordinator made anti-gay comments while Kluwe was with the Vikings.

Kluwe wrote a scathing first-person account on an Internet website on Thursday. In it, he alleges that coach Mike Priefer made several anti-gay comments in objection to Kluwe's outspoken support of a gay marriage amendment in Minnesota.

Kluwe also says former Vikings coach Leslie Frazier and current general manager Rick Spielman encouraged him to tone down his rhetoric in an effort to reduce distractions to the team. At the same time, Kluwe said, Vikings owner Zygi Wilf expressed support for Kluwe's championing of gay rights.

Kluwe called Priefer "a bigot" and Spielman and Frazier "two cowards" for releasing him in May after eight seasons with the Vikings.

The Vikings issued a statement saying they take the allegations seriously. They also say he was released because of his football performance, not something else.

Below is the full statement from the Vikings:

"The Minnesota Vikings were made aware of Chris Kluwe's allegations for the first time today. We take them very seriously and will thoroughly review this matter. 

"As an organization, the Vikings consistently strive to create a supportive, respectful and accepting environment for all of our players, coaches and front office personnel. We do not tolerate discrimination at any level. 

"The team has long respected our players' and associates' individual rights, and, as Chris specifically stated, Vikings ownership supports and promotes tolerance, including on the subject of marriage equality. Because he was identified with the Vikings, Chris was asked to be respectful while expressing his opinions. Team ownership and management also repeatedly emphasized to Chris that the Vikings would not impinge on his right to express his views.

"Any notion that Chris was released from our football team due to his stance on marriage equality is entirely inaccurate and inconsistent with team policy. Chris was released strictly based on his football performance.
"We will have further comment at the appropriate time."

Kluwe was due to make $1.45 million, which was more than the salary cap-strapped Vikings wanted to spend on a punter. So they drafted Jeff Locke in the fifth round and parted ways with Kluwe, bringing to an end his colorful and outspoken stay in Minnesota.

In his article, Kluwe alleged that Priefer grew more and more impatient with the various causes Kluwe supported and several times made anti-gay remarks during team meetings.

Kluwe said he wanted to post his article now in hopes of discouraging the Vikings, or any other team, from employing Priefer, who is widely respected at Vikings headquarters and is viewed by some as a potential head coach one day. Priefer was hired by the Vikings in 2011. He served previously as the special-teams coach in Denver and Kansas City.

"If there's one thing I hope to achieve from sharing this story," Kluwe wrote, "it's to make sure that Mike Priefer never holds a coaching position again in the NFL, and ideally never coaches at any level."

Priefer responded to the allegations levied against him, via The Associated Press.

"I want to be clear that I do not tolerate discrimination of any type and am respectful of all individuals," Priefer said. "I personally have gay family members who I love and support just as I do any family member. 

"The primary reason I entered coaching was to affect people in a positive way. As a coach, I have always created an accepting environment for my players, including Chris, and have looked to support them both on and off the field. 

"The comments today have not only attacked my character and insulted my professionalism, but they have also impacted my family. While my career focus is to be a great professional football coach, my number one priority has always been to be a protective husband and father to my wife and children."

Kluwe averaged 44.4 yards per punt over his career in Minnesota, including a career-high 39.7 yard net average in 2012. But he ranked just 17th in the NFL in punting that season before he was cut and he lost a competition for the punting job with the Oakland Raiders in the preseason in 2013. He had several tryouts during the season, but was never signed.

Kluwe said he wanted to wait to air his grievances until after the season so as not to provide a distraction to his friends on the team during the season.

1st Gay President Barack Obama Sends Homosexual Athletes To Sochi Olympic Games In Opposition of Russian Law Against “Gay Propaganda.”

Liberal journalists never mounted Olympics protests about free speech in the U.S.S.R., but they’re very excited about President Obama opposing the Russian law against “gay propaganda.” Obama is skipping the ceremonies and sending a lesbian tennis legend in his place.

Under the headline “Obama jabs at Putin’s anti-gay stance,” USA Today topped its front page Wednesday with a blatant Obama-loving editorial from sports columnist Christine Brennan. It began: “President Obama's selection of Billie Jean King for the official U.S. delegation to the 2014 Sochi Winter Olympic Games is a stroke of genius.” It was a "perfect call," Brennan claimed.  See her Olympic free-speech hypocrisy below.

Brennan kept praising: 

What better way to show the nation's disgust for President Vladimir Putin's anti-gay propaganda law than for Obama to send an American cultural icon and sports legend who also happens to be openly gay?...

In a recent conversation with USA TODAY Sports' Kelly Whiteside, King talked about the general hesitancy U.S. athletes expressed regarding the law.

"Sometimes I think we need a John Carlos moment," she said on Sept. 25, referring to the U.S. track star who was expelled from the 1968 Mexico City Olympics along with American sprinter Tommie Smith for protesting racial discrimination. [They held up their black-gloved hands in a "black power" salute on the medal stand.]

"I think there's watershed moments, benchmarks. I would hope the majority of the athletes would speak out. It's a great platform."

Brennan added: "Think of the millions of Russian citizens who are gay, or have a gay family member or friend, living in a nation where discrimination based on sexual orientation is not only tolerated, but promoted.And the U.S. president sends one of the world's most recognizable faces of equality and inclusion to attend the Opening Ceremony in such a visible role?It's the perfect call for an extraordinary international situation."

Speaking of "equality and inclusion," it's a good time to recall that just last year, Peter Vidmar, a 1984 Olympic gold medalist, had to resign as chef de mission for the 2012 U.S. Olympic team because as a Mormon, he donated $2,000 for Proposition 8 in California supporting traditional marriage and appeared at two Prop 8 rallies.

That pressure from the gay lobby wasn't Putinesque? At the time, Brennan just reported it like removing him from the Olympic effort was necessary, since he was becoming an activist after all: "In U.S. Olympic circles, there was concern that Vidmar wasn't just expressing his personal opinions on a controversial issue, but that he had moved into an activist role on an issue involving civil rights."

ESPN Host Stephen Smith: "It Makes No Sense Black Conservatives Are Pariahs in Our Communities"

During most segments of First Take, a weekday program aired on the ESPN sports network, the discussion focuses on a wide variety of topics ranging from football to basketball and even golf. However, on Friday morning, co-host Stephen Smith addressed the subject of race-related politics.

Responding to a feud between Cleveland Browns running back Jim Brown and Los Angeles Laker Kobe Bryant regarding their knowledge of the black culture in the U.S., Smith declared:  “It makes absolutely no sense whatsoever” that black conservatives “are considered pariahs and are ostracized in our communities.”

The clash between the football and basketball stars started a week earlier, when Brown was a guest on Arsenio Hall's new weekday talk show on Wednesday, when he charged that Bryant “is confused” about black American culture because he grew up in Italy. 

After stating that he thought Brown's remarks were "surprising," Bryant responded with this tweet: “A 'Global' African American is an inferior shade to 'American' African Americans?? #hmmm … that doesn't sound very #Mandela or #DrKing, sir.” 

Then on Friday, Smith told First Take co-host Skip Bayless that he spoke with Kobe before that tweet was sent, and Bryant told him that this is “not a conversation that he’s running from. He welcomes the opportunity to have that conversation.”

Smith then noted:

When it comes to the African-American community, you have a plethora of individuals. For example, the black population hasn't given the Republican Party more than 15 percent of its vote since 1964. 

And anybody who is deemed a black conservative, I am not one of them -- I'm a registered Independent, just to get that out of the way -- but those I know who are black conservatives are considered pariahs and are ostracized in our communities, and it makes absolutely no sense whatsoever.

The sportscaster and columnist then used the Brown/Bryant flap to illustrate what he considers a partisan political dynamic within the black community:

But this is how -- this is a problem that exists within our community. Because you are from our community, everybody believes that everybody is supposed to be identical to one another, and we can’t display or exercise any kind of versatility, alright, or range in our thinking. 

It’s a problem that we have to deal with. It’s an internal problem that exists, and we’re going to have to handle it because if we don’t, we’re gonna see more Jim Browns speaking out against more Kobe Bryants, and we’re gonna see more Kobe Bryants retaliating against the likes of Jim Brown.

Parent Files Bullying Complaint Over 91-0 Football Drubbing

"Bullying", one of white liberals favorite causes, gets taken to new (and dangerous) depths. I mean, one could certainly make the case for running up the score here, but bullying, really? :

Er, really? The parent of the high-school football player on the losing end of a 91-0 loss has found a way to improve the team amplify the whining — by accusing the winning team of bullying them. Isn’t that what a ground-acquisition game like football is supposed to be about? 

“My son plays for western hills football team on friday night we all witnessed bullying firsthand, it is not a pretty sight. Picking up my son from the field house after the game and taking him home was tough, I did not know what to say on the ride home to explain the behavior of the aledo coach for not easing up when the game was in hand. After thinking about my ride home, I thought how tough it must have been for the parents of the aledo football players to explain what happened o their sons on the ride home. During the game the aledo players showed respect to my son and I thank them for their good sportsmanship. I wish the aledo players good luck this season and hope they have a successful school year.I wish their parents don’t have to explain this ride home again.”

Besides, all the complaint will amplify is the losing team’s sense of humiliation. The opposing coach told the local CBS affiliate that he did his best to keep the scoring down in the second half, which strongly suggests that the losers couldn’t even stack up to the benchwarmers:

Buchanan said by halftime, when his team was up 56 points, he began actively trying to keep the score down, subbing in backup players, letting the clock run continuously, and instructing players to make fair catch calls.
“You don’t want to embarrass… I’ve been on the other side of those scores. In 2011, Lake Travis scored 62 points on us. That doesn’t feel good. It doesn’t make the kids feel good,” said Buchanan.

Don’t ask questions to which you don’t want to hear the answers ….

Man Who Raised Adrian Peterson's Slain Child: There Should Be No Sympathy for Biological Dad

You're always sorry for the loss of a child, but the way this man handles business in his personal life, in this case it's just hard to have any sympathy for him:

Minnesota Vikings running back Adrian Peterson just recently found out via a DNA test that the two-year-old son that was recently beaten to death by the live-in boyfriend of the child's mother was in fact his son. 

Peterson saw the child for the first time on his death bed, and the man who claims he raised Peterson's child lashed out at Peterson on Facebook, saying nobody should feel sympathy for a father who never even knew his son. 

"So tired of this poor Adrian Peterson s**t. Let me blow all your minds," Bobby Ruffin posted on Facebook, according to TMZ. "The boy who died was my son. Yes AP was the biological father but I raised him and he carried my name. Tyrese Robert Ruffin."

Ruffin said they "both found out recently who the biological father was. AP met my son for the first time yest [sic] when my son was already in coma."

He then blasted Peterson for not being by his child's bedside until the last moments of his life.
"I was here today when we pulled the plug, not him,"

Joseph Patterson, the man with a history of domestic abuse who beat the child, has been arrested.

White, Liberal Sports Journalist Bob Costas on Redskins Name: ‘It’s An Insult, A Slur’

All conservative sports fans and anyone else paying attention to the noise being made about the Washington Redskins changing their name, because it's supposedly denigrating to Native Americans, is that 80% of people polled do not agree that the Redskins should ever change their name and that the people applying pressure to owner Daniel Snyder to change his team's moniker are almost all Godless, white, liberals suffering from major white guilt, a PC complex and major ego issues:

Every week during halftime of Sunday Night Football, Bob Costas gets to recite a personal essay about whatever hot topic strikes his fancy. This Sunday he chose the Redskins name, and spent a few minutes offering his commentary on the subject. Here is his statement in full.

With Washington playing Dallas here tonight, it seems like an appropriate time to acknowledge the ongoing controversy about the name, “Redskins.” Let’s start here: there’s no reason to believe that owner Daniel Snyder, or any official or player from his team, harbors animus towards Native Americans, or chooses to disrespect them. This is undoubtedly also true of the vast majority of those who don’t think twice about the longstanding moniker. And in fact, as best could be determined, even a majority of Native Americans say they are not offended.

But, having stipulated that, there’s still a distinction to be made. Objections to names like Braves, Chiefs, Warriors and the like, strike many of us as political correctness run amok. These nicknames honor, rather than demean. They’re pretty much the same as Vikings, Patriots, or even Cowboys. And names like Blackhawks, Seminoles and Chippewas, while potentially problematic, can still be okay provided the symbols are appropriately respectful. Which is where the Cleveland Indians, with the combination of their name and Chief Wahoo logo, have sometimes run into trouble.

A number of teams, mostly in the college ranks, have changed their names in response to objections. The Stanford Cardinal and the Dartmouth Big Green were each once the Indians. The St. Johns Redmen are now the Red Storm. And the Miami of Ohio Redskins, that’s right Redskins, are now the RedHawks. Still, the NFL franchise that represents the nation’s capital, has maintained its name.

But think for a moment about the term “Redskins,” and how it truly differs from all the others. Ask yourself what the equivalent would be if directed towards African Americans, Hispanics, Asians or any other ethnic group. When considered that way, “Redskins” can’t possibly honor a heritage or noble character trait, nor can it possibly be considered a neutral term. It’s an insult, a slur, no matter how benign the present day intent.

It’s fair to say that for a long time now, and certainly in 2013, no offense has been intended. But if you take a step back, isn’t it clear to see how offense might legitimately be taken?

You just knew this was going to happen once the NBA started there new season. Of course, a look at his career stats could tell you all the reasons you need to know about why he hasn't been signed. But expect the Godless, white, liberal elitists that dominate the national sports media to pursue this "issue", "fight" for Jason and pressure NBA teams to sign the "first gay NBA player" anyway:

Jason Collins, who made news when he became the first openly gay man playing a major American team sport, implied that the reason he has not been signed by any NBA teams might have to do with the fact that he announced he was gay.  

When asked whether he thought he hadn't been signed because of discrimination, he replied, "You don't want to speculate. I don't go there," but then added that he couldn't understand it because, "I feel there are players in the league right now that, quite frankly, I'm better than." 

And he knows he has those willing to do battle for him; he asserted, "I do have that feeling now that I'm not alone in this and I have that mindset, you know, of bring it on." 

The disinclination to sign Collins couldn't be the fact that his career statistics are abysmal, (3.6 points and 3.8 rebounds a game) or that the minimum salary for a player with 12 years experience is almost $1.4 million, and younger players could be paid at least one-third less, could it? 

No, it couldn't be that.  

Collins himself said teams shouldn't base their decisions on money, claiming, "In my mind it shouldn't be about that. N.B.A. is for the best players, not for the most affordable players. There isn't a professional athlete that doesn't want to play 12, 13 years. What I did when I was younger was look up to the guys like Dikembe Mutombo and Alonzo Mourning who played over a decade. What did they do to last that long? A lot of it is keeping your body in shape, keeping your mind sharp, staying hungry. You should always want guys around like that to set that example, in my mind."  

Richard Lapchick, a human-rights activist and sports industry watchdog, pontificated after Collins's announcement that he was gay, "I do think it's important for him to be in the league as a visible symbol. If he makes this courageous stand but then disappears from the locker room, it would not do it justice." But now Lapchick says, "In all my work on hiring practices, I always argue to bring a diverse pool into the interview process and then hire the best person. I am rooting hard for Jason to play this year, but I want him to make it on his own, for his sake and for the sake of the issue." Hudson Taylor, the executive director of Athlete Ally, who advocates for gay athletes, asserted, "The decision to sign him rests with individual team owners. One of them has to step up."

ACLU Warns College Football Players Not To Pray Before Games

Only in Barack Obama's anti-God America:

The American Civil Liberties Union instructed Tennessee superintendents to end prayer before public high school football games in order to protect “religious freedom for all your students, including your athletes, and their families who attend the games.” 

More than 130 administrators received a letter from Tennessee ACLU Executive Director Hedy M. Weinberg chiding them for sponsoring prayer at the football games:

“As you know, the First Amendment prohibits government policies and practices“respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof.” Both the First Amendment’s Establishment Clause and the Free Exercise Clause operate to protect the religious liberty and freedom of conscience of all Americans. It is well settled that school faculty, coaches, administrators or invited clergy may not lead students in prayer or conduct a prayer during a school event.”

The ACLU claimed the state may neither promote nor prohibit religious exercise. Instead, it must remain neutral. 

However, the government’s three-pronged Establishment Clause test, created in Lemon v. Kurtzman, seems more anti-religious than neutral. 

As stated in Lee v. Weisman, to pass the test practices must:

“(1) reflect a clearly secular purpose; (2) have a primary effect that neither advances nor inhibits religion; and (3) avoid excessive government entanglement with religion.”

This four-decade-old approval system takes religion completely out of the public square.
Not to worry though, ACLU’s Weinberg is all about preserving freedom:

“Like you, we want to preserve the sanctity of everyone’s religious freedom, including their ability to choose whether and when to pray. Like you, we do not want to see taxpayers, students and parents in your school district ostracized and excluded if they do not wish to participate in unconstitutional, state-endorsed prayer at athletic events.

‘Black Tim Tebow’: Giants Star Prince Amukamara Says He’s Still a Virgin

Giants starting cornerback Prince Amukamara said in an interview with Muscle & Fitness that he’s never had a drink in his life and he remains a virgin. A devout Catholic, Amukamara said he has been called “the black Tim Tebow” by peers.

“I grew up Catholic, so it just started out as one of those things,” Amukamara told the magazine. “I’d think, ‘If I do this, maybe I can get to heaven,’ so I said no drinks, no sex, all the big things. As I grew up, I realized that’s not what it’s about. It’s about having a relationship with Jesus. It’s not about ‘Don’t do this.

Don’t do that.’ But still, it’s just one of those things I haven’t done, and I don’t see any benefit to doing it.”

Amukamara, 24, said he told his fiancé Pilar Davis that he might have his first alcoholic beverage at his bachelor party, but he’s not sure.

The two met at a New York City nightclub SL two years ago and Amukamara was “drawn to her,” but hesitant about actually making a move. He had to be spurred on by then-teammates Corey Webster and Aaron Ross to strike up a conversation.

“They were like, ‘Go say something to her!’” Amukamara said. “And they were cheering me on. She thought we were all rowdy and drunk and she didn’t pay us any attention. Then, later, I was waiting for Ahmad [Bradshaw] and she came by and we struck up a conversation. I asked her for her e-mail address because when someone asks for your number, it might be too personal and you might not want to give it. But if you ask for their e-mail address, they’ll give it. I was right.”

Amukamara, who is of Nigerian descent, still goes out clubbing with friends and teammates, though he doesn’t partake in drinking. He says he enjoys dancing and gets “high off of everyone else’s high.”

As far as women, the third-year player out of the University of Nebraska doesn’t even tell them he’s a football player. When he meets a girl, he claims to be a construction worker. And he told Davis when they met that he was a manager at the Gap.

“She’s from Sacramento, and if you remember [two years agp], we had to go to San Francisco to play them for the conference championship, so if I wanted her to visit me while I was out there, I’d have to tell her what I did,” Amukamara said. “So two days later, I said ‘Hey, I play for the Giants.’ She thought I meant San Francisco Giants. That’s when I thought she might be a keeper.”

WNBA Player Sophia Young Stands Up To Gay Mafia, Speaks Out Against Gay Marriage

Sophia Young, a forward for the WNBA's San Antonio Silver Stars, spoke out against an LGBT anti-discrimination bill in San Antonio on Wednesday.

Young, who is out for the season with a torn anterior cruciate ligament in her right knee, tweeted her views against the bill, saying that the city shouldn't support same-sex marriage. She also participated in a pray-in-protest movement.

While the WNBA supported Young's right to speak, the league didn't condone her viewpoint.

"Sophia has the right to express her point of view, however, I do not share her view," WNBA President Laurel Richie said in a statement. "The WNBA supports diversity and we are committed to the equal and fair treatment of all people."

Black WWE Wrestler Darren Young Says He's Homosexual, Becomes Another Tool For The Godless, White Liberal Agenda

Homosexuality, an immoral choice made by Godless deviants to engage in sexual behavior with individuals of the same sex, has been encouraged and stamped with approval by white, social liberals hellbent on destroying Christianity and all the tenets that come with it. With that said, black Americans with nothing better to do than follow white, liberals into the depths of moral turpitude, are consistently engaging in behavior that goes against God's will. Like Darren Young, a black, pro wrestling star who announced to celebrity website TMZ that he engages in sex with other men and thus, is being lauded by the Godless, white, mainstream press all in the hope of spreading the plague of homosexuality and continue to normalize it throughout the black community. No word yet on, like fellow tool Jason Collins, if Young will receive a phone call from President Obama congratulating him on being an "open homosexual" or if like Collins, Young will grace the cover of the next issue of Sports Illustrated:

When a TMZ reporter approached World Wrestling Entertainment star Darren Young to ask whether a gay wrestler could ever be successful within the organization, he did not expect to get the answer he did.

“Absolutely,” Young said with a chuckle while retrieving his bags at Los Angeles Airport. “Look at me. I’m a WWE Superstar and, to be honest with you, I’ll tell you right now, I’m gay, and I’m happy. Very happy.”

The TMZ cameraman was audibly stunned, telling Young he had no idea the wrestler was gay. Young replied that his sexuality shouldn’t really matter.

“I guess if you want to call it ‘coming out,’ I really don’t know what to say it is,” he explained. “I’m just letting you know that I’m happy who I am. I’m comfortable with myself and I’m happy to be living the dream.”

He continued: “Some people might not like it. Some people will like it. I’m here to please myself. I’m here to be happy. I’m hoping to make a difference. It’s very important to me to make people understand that someone’s sexual preference shouldn’t really matter. It should be about the person.”

In a statement, the WWE told the Huffington Post they are “proud” of Young for coming out as homosexual in an aggressively masculine sport:

“WWE is proud of Darren Young for being open about his sexuality, and we will continue to support him as a WWE Superstar. Today, in fact, Darren will be participating in one of our Be A Star anti-bullying rallies in Los Angeles to teach children how to create positive environments for everyone regardless of age, race, religion or sexual orientation.”

Black Baltimore Orioles Outfielder Adam Jones Has A Banana Thrown At Him

Far-right, conservative pundits like Michelle Malkin, who reacted with unmasked glee upon hearing the George Zimmerman verdict, should be aware of a recent incident involving Baltimore Orioles star outfielder Adam Jones who took to Twitter after Sunday's 10-2 win in San Francisco to complain about a fan tossing a banana onto the field. While at first there was no record of the racist incident, Giants fan, Alexander Poulides, 42, would later admit to throwing the banana near Jones out of disgust over his team's loss.

While the Jones incident is nowhere near as unfortunate and tragic as the Trayvon Martin case was, conservatives like Malkin, who have long given up on the black vote, do the entire movement a disservice by pretending that racism no longer exists:

A day after posting a tweet saying a banana was thrown toward him during Sunday’s game in San Francisco, Orioles center fielder Adam Jones tried to move on from the incident.

In the bottom of the ninth inning of the Orioles' 10-2 win over the Giants at AT&T Park, Jones said a banana was on the ground in center field near him. Witnesses said Jones calmly picked up the banana and laid it over the center field fence.

Monday, Jones wouldn’t specifically say he thought the act was racially motivated — there have been incidents at sporting events where bananas were thrown at black athletes on the field, which is considered a racist act, particularly in European soccer matches — but he said there was no place in the game for it.

“I’m one of the nicest guys out there,” Jones said as the Orioles prepared to play the Arizona Diamondbacks. “I get an attitude here and there, but [throwing items on the field are] just actions that don’t ever need to happen in sports. It’s unfortunate that things happen like that, but it ain’t gonna stop me, myself and the Orioles. We have games to win. It’s mid-August. I’ve got a bigger concern on my head than someone’s ignorance or act of whatever.”

Jones said he worried about it more as a player safety issue. Earlier this year, a can was thrown toward left fielder Nate McLouth during a game in Toronto.

“I personally don’t have no hard feelings about it. It’s just an unfortunate thing that happened,” Jones said. “You never know what kind of things can be thrown at a player. Our backs are turned. You never know what can be thrown in our direction. I just look at it as a safety issue. When my back is turned, I don’t know what is going on there, so we just look at it as a liability. Whatever certain object it was, I could care less.”

Asked whether Jones had ever been subjected to such an act before, Jones quickly said, “I’m from San Diego, man. You don’t see that kind of stuff.”
