Liberal Air America Goes Bankrupt, Shuts Down

Air America Radio, a progressive radio network that once aired commentary from Al Franken and Rachel Maddow, is shutting down.

The company founded in April 2004 says it is ceasing operations Thursday afternoon and will soon file to be liquidated under Chapter 7 bankruptcy.

Air America says 10 consecutive quarters of declining ad revenue and the difficulty of making money on the Internet contributed to its financial woes.

The network had some 100 radio outlets nationwide.

Just a coincidence that this happens a day after Barry's one-year anniversary? Another victim of the utter BS that has been the Obama Era.

Liberal Air America Attacks Keith Olbermann's Misogyny

MSNBC uber-dork Keith Olbermann has done it again. The cable channel's principal pontificator -- in naming syndicated columnist Michelle Malkin "the worst person in the world" on Wednesday night -- blasted her "total mindless, morally bankrupt, knee-jerk, fascistic hatred, without which Michelle Malkin would just be a mashed-up bag of meat with lipstick on it."

AirAmerica.com blogger Megan Carpentier found Olbermann's remarks more than slightly misogynistic, and said, "By attacking Michelle Malkin's politics with an assault on women of every political persuasion, and then indicating a desire to see her physically harmed, a person might understandably get the idea that Keith Olbermann only respects women if they agree with him." Maybe not even then.

This isn't the first time that Krazy Keith has been attacked by his own band of ideologists. Even the Kos kids have gotten tired of his act in the past, more recently the leftwing Gawker. Bottom line, Keith Olbermann hates women...well except for Rachel Maddow, because she's a lesbian, therefore no one on the Left can possibly hate her.

Air America Launches Atheist Programming

No surprise here. If I had a dollar for every liberal I've ever run into who either referred to themselves as an "atheist" or an agnostic" I'd be mega-rich:

(CNSNews.com) - The liberal talk radio network Air America announced this week it will launch a nationwide show focusing on atheism. The first national show will feature Christopher Hitchens, author of "God Is Not Great: How Religion Poisons Everything."

The Freethought Radio Program, hosted by the co-presidents of the Freedom From Religion Foundation, has been airing on Air America's Madison, Wis., affiliate since April 2006.

On Saturday, Oct. 6, the show will begin airing on 14 other affiliates from Palm Springs, Fla., to Eugene, Ore., and on XM Satellite radio.

"You can turn on the radio or TV 24/7 to be preached at," Annie Laurie Gaylor, co-president of the FFRF, said in a statement. "This is one hour a week of the public airwaves that offers an alternative."

Gaylor said the program "offers irreverent views, news, music and interviews," including a regular news feature called "Theocracy Alert."
