Obama Lies Again: Stretches Poll Findings On Debt

Recall the big brouhaha when Barry was called out by Rep. Joe Wilson at his SOTU speech in '09 for lying? Well, proving that Rep. Wilson had some idea of what he was talking about, even the Left-leaning AP has caught Barry trying to construct more fiction:

You might say President Barack Obama cut himself some extra margin of error when he claimed 80 percent of Americans want the debt crisis solved with a mix of tax increases and spending cuts.


Polling does suggest, as Obama said, that Americans overall and even Republican voters are open to higher taxes as part of the solution. But claiming support from 8 in 10 people was a reach.


A look at his statements on Friday about polling and how they compare with the actual findings:


OBAMA: "You have 80 percent of the American people who support a balanced approach. Eighty percent of the American people support an approach that includes revenues and includes cuts. So the notion that somehow the American people aren't sold is not the problem."


THE POLLS: A Gallup poll, cited by the White House as the main basis for Obama's statement, actually found that 69 percent supported tackling the deficit with a mix of spending cuts and tax increases. An additional 4 percent favored tax increases only — a group that does not endorse Obama's "balanced" approach but could reasonably be counted on his side. That brings his support to 73 percent at most in that poll.


Obama can get closer to 80 percent, but only by counting those who don't belong in that group: people who declined to give an opinion or volunteered an idea of their own to reduce deficits.


Overall, the poll found Americans favor spending cuts much more than tax increases, while supporting a mix of both.

Hollywood Finally Admits It Discriminates Against Conservatives

Better late than never and it look like the Gay Mafia in Hollywood is being forced to reverse the tide:

There's a familiar adage that recognizing you have a problem is the first step toward recovery. And Hollywood certainly has a problem with discrimination against conservatives.


As I detailed in my new book, "Primetime Propaganda," Hollywood insiders routinely discriminate against conservatives, believing them to be untalented hacks and political barbarians undeserving of a paycheck.


I spoke with top executives, writers, and producers in the industry who agreed that discrimination is common – and some even celebrated it.


But many in Hollywood continued to deny this truth. Marta Kauffman of "Friends" fame – whom I interviewed, and who told me that her writers room was made up of liberals – dismissed such criticisms were “silly.”


Patrick Goldstein of The Los Angeles Times said that such accusations were largely unsubstantiated, despite the tape I released.


Now, however, the worm is turning. Last week, for the first time, Hollywood openly acknowledged that it has a discrimination problem against conservatives.


As The Hollywood Reporter reported, the Caucus for Producers, Writers & Directors, a major industry insider honor society, passed a resolution in the wake of revelations springing from my book.


The resolution amended the organization’s charter to stand against discrimination based on “political ideology.” It was approved unanimously; only a few weeks after the Caucus refused to pass such a resolution, claiming that it was a “non-partisan” organization and therefore could not stand against political discrimination.


What prompted the reversal?


Public pressure from the Caucus’ conservative members, who resigned from the Caucus after one of its top members, was caught on tape stating that he was happy conservatives are blacklisted in Hollywood. Lionel Chetwynd, multiple Emmy nominee and Oscar-nominated screenwriter of The Apprenticeship of Duddy Kravitz, and Norman Powell, producer of 24 and former CBS Television executive, walked out of the Caucus.

Far-Left Gay Activist Dan Savage Says Of Congressional Republicans ‘I Wish They All Were F**kin’ Dead’ On Real Time With Bill Maher

Real Time host Bill Maher thought he had a good soundbite when he compared Congressional Republicans to late Palestinian leader Yasser Arafat, but was quickly one-upped by “It gets better” LGBT activist Dan Savage, who said “Unfortunately not exactly like him. I wish they were all f**kin’ dead.”


Dan Savage’s “It gets better” campaign has been hugely successful, even embraced by the President, and what people often lose sight of is the fact that those messages resonate with all kids, not just LGBT youth. All kinds of kids suffer, and die, from the kind of bullying that “It gets better” strives to put into perspective.


If that makes Savage angry, he’s not alone, but anger isn’t the problem. Properly focused anger can be a powerful motivator, and a spark to real change. The campaign to smear Obama administration safe schools czar Kevin Jennings made me very angry, but it didn’t make me wish Sean Hannity dead, it made me wish him honest, and made me wish his viewers smarter.


It is Savage’s correct life-or-death view of LGBT issues that motivated the campaign, but also that motivates him to do things which undermine that campaign, and its message. Whether it’s wishing all of the Republicans in Congress were dead, or wiping flu boogers on phones as an undercover volunteer at a Republican campaign headquarters, when that view transforms from anger to hatred that Savage undercuts his ability to be an effective messenger, at least to those not already in the choir.


Even anger can trip you up, though. Friday night’s Real Time was marked, not only by controversial statements, but by a weird hostility toward panelist Mark Cuban, who got attacked several times before he could make what were excellent points. The best of these was the fact that taxes, increased or cut, have little or no impact on job creation. Like Thom Hartmann has said many times, it is demand that creates jobs, and as Cuban said last night, it is innovation that creates demand.

Of course, Mediaite forgot to mention that Dan Savage also recently came out, in a New York Times piece, openly supporting adultery while admitting to being in a "monogamish" (i.e. "open") relationship with his "husband"--this while recent reports show that gay men are far more promiscuous and more likely to catch HIV/AIDS than their lesbian counterparts. Mind you Savage is also the same hypocritical (imagine how much his panties would get all in a bunch if a Conservative ever said they "wish all gays were dead") loon who the likes of MSNBC, Olbermann and other leftwing bigots take seriously as an "expert" on politics. Indeed, Dan Savage is the face of the morally bankrupt Left.

Obama White House Attempted To Block FOX News At 2009 Interview

This is what happens when to a cable news network that refuses to kiss Barack Obama's ass: The One's minion's throw a hissy-fit and try to do everything in their power to deny access to their high Lord and master. FOX News, the highest rated cable news network for more than a decade now, remains at the top because they actually challenge politicians and other news makers. Then too, unlike the other lamestream networks, both liberals and conservatives get to voice their opinions on FOX and their hosts aren't all ideologists who cater to a liberal mind thought

As the U.K. phone-hacking scandal continues to engulf News Corp's British segment, one of the company's top-performing assets in the U.S. is enjoying a bit of unrelated vindication.


Rewind to October 2009: Fox News Channel and the White House were at war. In one particularly heated incident, Fox claimed the Obama administration had tried to oust the "fair & balanced" network from an interview with Treasury official Kenneth Feinberg, when the other four news nets in the TV coverage pool had been offered access. In the end, Fox was included, and a Treasury Department spokesman snarled: "There was no plot to exclude Fox News, and they had the same interview that their competitors did. Much ado about absolutely nothing."


Emails that surfaced last week, however, through a public records request by the conservative watchdog group Judicial Watch, suggest otherwise.


"We'd prefer if you skip Fox please," a White House broadcast media staffer advised a Treasury Department public affairs secretary ahead of the interview. In other emails during the same time frame, deputy White House communications director Jennifer Psaki called Fox News anchor Bret Baier "a lunatic" and boasted that "I am putting some dead fish in the fox cubby--just cause." In yet another email, another White House press officer wrote: "We've demonstrated our willingness and ability to exclude Fox News from significant interviews …"


Proof of an anti-Fox agenda in the Oval Office? Judicial Watch thinks so.


"These documents show there is a pervasive anti-Fox bias in the Obama White House," said Judicial Watch president Tom Fitton in a statement. "The juvenile Mafioso-talk in these emails has no place in any White House. For the Obama administration to purposely exclude a major news organization from access to information has troubling First Amendment implications."

Lesbian Stripper Kiaira Pollard Leaves Her Two Sons To Die In Fire At Home

I've said it before: homosexuality is not only a lifestyle choice, but for most lesbians in particular I truly feel that the choice to go gay is based on some type of deep-seeded hatred for men (think, there's nothing a woman can do sexually to another woman that a man can't, so clearly there's other issues going on with lesbians). That said, if this lesbian stripper had two daughters instead of sons would she have been so hateful as to leave her children by themselves to die? Who knows for sure, but considering that we have hate crime laws in this country, it's certainly worth a thought:

A mother is on the run after her two young children died following a blaze that ripped through their Pittsburgh home last month, police said.


The two boys had been left home alone, and the front door to their third-floor apartment was deadbolted, authorities said.


"There was a deadbolt on a steel door," Assistant County Police Superintendent Jim Morton said. "(Firefighters) tried to open that door so many times, but they weren't able to do so until the fire company came with a ram, and they had to force that door."


Smoke detectors were not working, either.


An arrest warrant was issued for Kiaira Pollard on Tuesday. The 27-year-old is charged with endangering the welfare of children and tampering with a fire apparatus, according to WTAE 4 News in Pittsburgh.


The boys, 7-year-old KiDonn Pollard-Ford and his 4-year-old brother, KrisDon Pollard-Williams, were home alone while their mother was at work June 30, police said.


KiDonn was pronounced dead after being found beneath a pile of blankets. KrisDon was found hiding under his crib, and was resuscitated, but died at the hospital two days later.


Pollard told authorities after the blaze that the two were with a baby-sitter, but authorities say this wasn't true.


The woman also admitted removing the batteries from the smoke detectors because they often went off while she cooked, police said.


Pollard is believed to be on the run with 33-year-old Dayna Kenney, and both "have ties to the local exotic dancing industry," Lt. Andrew Schurman told WTAE. Kenney is not being charged at this point.

Guarantee too that this tragedy will get little to no coverage by the mainstream press and anyone who does certainly won't play up the gay angle.

Oprah Winfrey's Network OWN Tanks, Oprah Takes Over As CEO

Oprah Winfrey’s OWN is struggling as a TV station, and they need a new CEO. Ah, who to choose? Let’s ponder that one for a bit…how about…Oprah?


Indeed, it’s true. Oprah’s making OWN her own. At some point in the Fall, Oprah will take over as OWN’s CEO, insiders told The Wall Street Journal. Oprah will replace Peter Liguori, the COO turned interim CEO who took over when CEO Christina Norman left the company in May. Yikes. We’re not exactly surprised Oprah is having to run the company herself – clearly no one else wants to do it.


And that’s not a surprise either. The station has struggled pretty tremendously. In fact, the WSJ says, OWN’s ratings even fell below those of Discovery Health, the channel it replaced. Apologies to anyone closet Discovery Health fans, but that’s bad.


Now, it feels like Oprah’s just desperately trying to keep this ship afloat – and she seems intent on not losing more people. Along with her CEO news today, she announced that the current presidents of her TV production division, Harpo Studios, will also become presidents of OWN. Also, well, it’s a way to throw all the chips into OWN, and just pray it works out.

New York Town Clerk Quits Over Gay Marriage Licenses

Good for her, standing on principle and I'm so in love with her statement about serving God over man:

A town clerk in western New York has resigned to avoid being forced to sign marriage licenses for gay and lesbian couples, citing religious objections to same-sex marriage.


Laura Fotusky, the town clerk in Barker, New York, said in her resignation letter that she will step down on July 21, three days before New York becomes the sixth and largest state to allow gay nuptials.


Governor Andrew Cuomo signed the same sex marriage law last month after the bill narrowly passed the Republican-led state Senate. Its approval in New York is seen as a catalyst for gay marriage elsewhere as well as helping push the issue to the forefront nationally ahead of the 2012 elections.


Much of the debate in New York focused on the scope of protections for those opposed to same-sex marriage. The new law exempts religious groups from performing same-sex marriages but does not extend those protections to individuals, including government employees.


Fotusky was not immediately available for comment, but in her letter, dated July 11, she said she believes the Bible takes precedence over man-made laws.


"The Bible clearly teaches that God created marriage between male and female as a divine gift that preserves families and cultures. Since I love and follow Him, I cannot put my signature on something that is against God," she wrote.


"I would be compromising my moral conscience if I participated in the licensing procedure," she wrote.


According to New Yorkers for Constitutional Freedoms, a conservative Christian nonprofit group that circulated Fotusky's letter to the media, she is the first clerk in the state to resign over objections to same-sex nuptials.

A Defensive Nancy Grace Tells Bill O’Reilly Why She Thinks Everyone Hates Her

As much as it has done to elevate her national profile, the Casey Anthony trial has made a one-dimensional villain of Nancy Grace to many in the media, and while she has kept relatively quiet through the relentless scorn, Grace visited Bill O’Reilly tonight to respond to much of the criticism. Extremely defensive and borderline rude to a relatively sympathetic host, Grace explained (with dramatic scare quotes) whether she went “overboard,” how she came up with “tot mom,” and why she thinks people attack her so much.


While O’Reilly opened up with an apparent softball– “do you think you went overboard at all?”– Grace came out swinging, calling the term “overboard” “trite” given the “miscarriage of justice” the trial represented. O’Reilly highlighted her “flamboyant” presentation in response, noting that many people, including him, believed Anthony was guilty, too, but didn’t bother to make up names like “tot mom” or be so “certain” in their coverage. Speaking of tot mom, “What does Tot Mom mean, anyway?”


“It was easier for me to remember the name by the content of the case rather than the name,” Grace explained, taking offense to O’Reilly calling the nickname “denigrating,” but O’Reilly led her away from that particular batch of outrage fodder. Instead, O’Reilly led her to insults from others in the legal field, particularly the head of Court TV calling her a “monster.” “They all seem to object to your tone of certainty, and I can identify with that because I do the exact same thing that you did,” O’Reilly told her, apparently trying to keep her eye on the ball rather than taking swipes at him. It worked– she replied that “I don’t really see a need to sugarcoat the truth” and that “the whole defense theory is nonsensical.” She then went on to accuse “some of these pundits” of “wanting Tot Mom’s interview, they want the big ‘get’” and are trying to ingratiate themselves by attacking Grace. She did concede that, if she cared, the attacks would be “hurtful, but the reality is it doesn’t change the truth.” She then went on to list some people whose opinion she didn’t care about– “some newspaper writer in Peoria… some Park Avenue lawyer on national TV” (hmm, who could that be?)– though, of course, by giving shout-outs, she exposes a chink in her armor.


It was clear from the get-go that Grace went into the interview expecting to burn a bridge, which may be exactly why she has collected such a veritable number of detractors. O’Reilly was clearly not out to get her, but rather to analyze her and why she had become such a lightning rod. This at times seemed to throw her off and revealed a certain vulnerability, a self-imposed faith in being above reproach covered in the desperate aroma of needing a vacation, that may finally explain, ironically, how she has also collected so many fans.

Wow, she's nuts.

Newt Gingrich: 'This Is The Obama Depression'

Newt doesn't have stand a chance in hell of winning the GOP nomination next year. but this kind of straight-laced talk about an incompetent President is what Republican candidates need to do more of:

Republican presidential candidate Newt Gingrich on Sunday labeled the dismal economic situation in the United States as the “Obama depression,” just days after a grim jobs report and amid continued signs that negotiations on a comprehensive federal debt deal are faltering.


“At 9.2 percent [unemployment] now for month, after month, after month, this is the Obama depression,” Gingrich said on “Fox & Friends” Sunday morning. “Housing prices have dropped deeper than in the Great Depression and it’s very clear that under [President Barack] Obama’s job-killing policies, we’re not going to get out of this deep unemployment.”


The former speaker of the House praised his successor, John Boehner, for making the decision that Republicans will reject tax increases in any deal to increase the debt limit. Boehner announced late Saturday night that Republicans would not pursue a $4 trillion, 10-year deficit reduction package. Instead, the GOP focus will be on a $2 trillion deal.


“Republicans are correct to say first of all, no tax increase -- period. John Boehner was right. He deserves credit for recognizing that the right position for conservatives is no tax increase. Second, they ought to get the biggest spending cut deal they can by taking what Vice President [Joe] Biden put on the table,” Gingrich said. “I think the largest deal possible with no tax increases is fine.”


In a National Review op-ed Friday, Gingrich wrote, “Republicans should reject the establishment's demand for a tax increase. There is plenty of money to be saved from a bloated government without giving Washington one penny of higher taxes."

Keith Olbermann's Ratings Fall In Week 2

First, the lying hypocrite and misogynist lost his one-sided feud to Bill O'Reilly, now he can't even beat his old, pathetic network MSNBC:

Ratings for Current's new incarnation of Countdown With Keith Olbermann were bound to fall in the show's second week as the curiosity factor wore off and people began their July 4 vacations. Still, the numbers from last week are bracing: Olbermann attracted an average of 93,000 viewers in its target 25-54 demo, down 29% from the first week. The total audience, at 253,000, was down 28.5%. The numbers account for people who watched the 8 PM ET broadcast live, or the same evening on their DVRs.
