Laura Ingraham Trashes Colin Powell: ‘Liberalism Has Been An Utter Disaster For Black America’

Conservative radio host Laura Ingraham joined the hosts of Fox & Friends on Tuesday where she countered the argument made by Gen. Colin Powell on Meet the Press over the weekend where he claimed that the Republican Party looks down on minorities. Ingraham outlined the ways in which the GOP has advanced the careers of many prominent African-Americans, Powell included, and spelled out how liberalism has historically “been an utter disaster” for African-Americans. 

Steve Doocy asked how the GOP, which has advanced the careers of people like Mia Love, Allen West and Gov. Susana Martinez (R-NM), could be as racist as Powell contends.

Ingraham said that Powell is frustrated with the Republican Party over his role in pushing the war in Iraq. She said that he is still bitter after testifying before Congress regarding weapons of mass destruction that turned out not to be in Iraq.

“It seems that Colin Powell is trying to continue to expiate for his sins of that testimony,” Ingraham said. “He worked for Republican presidents and, presumably, those Republican presidents don’t have the view that the Republican Party is riddled with racism and has a ‘dark vein of intolerance.’”

Gretchen Carlson, playing “devil’s advocate,” said that even Gov. Bobby Jindal (R-LA) has asked the GOP to do some introspection on how they relate to minorities. 

Ingraham agreed, saying that the party has not done an effective job of selling “the wonder” of free markets, economic liberty and conservative social values. She said that liberalism has been a failure for blacks in America in particular. 

“I would challenge Colin Powell, frankly, to a debate on whether liberalism – climate change regulation he wants, I guess more affirmative action, he’s pro-choice, and now he believes that immigration amnesty is going to help, I guess, what? The wages of the black family?,” Ingraham asked. 

“Liberalism has been an utter disaster for black America,” Ingraham said. “The weapon of mass destruction, Gretchen, has been found. The Democrats found it. It’s Colin Powell. He’s blowing up on Republicans.”

Laura Ingraham Fired Up Over Romney’s 47% Tape: ‘It’s Ridiculous’ This Is Getting Airtime

Conservative radio host Laura Ingraham appeared on Fox & Friends on Tuesday where she went off on a recently released hidden camera tape of Mitt Romney at a closed door fundraiser telling his donors that 47 percent of the electorate is unavailable to him because they are dependent on government and loyal to President Barack Obama. Ingraham became animated in a discussion about the tape, and said that it was “ridiculous” that it was getting as much airtime as it was, even on Fox News.

After Brian Kilmeade played a portion of the clip to Ingraham, Steve Doocy asked, “So, what did he say that’s wrong?”

“The percentage might be off by one or two percentage points depending on how you formulate it,” Ingraham replied. “The bottom line is Mitt Romney speaking at a fundraiser about the challenges a Republican faces in this presidential race – not all that unlike what political pundits, many of them hyperventilating today, have said. That there is a small slice of the electorate that is undecided. That’s basically what he said there.”

“The idea that you’re declaring, ‘Well, the race is over. Mitt Romney doesn’t care about people,’” Ingraham continued. “Meanwhile, you have a president whose policies have undermined the 47 percent.”

Ingraham slammed the media for glossing over President Obama’s fundraising and campaigning schedule which includes stops with Beyoncé, Jay-Z, Rachael Ray and not having a problem with it. “The policies of this president have hurt the 47 percent,” Ingraham said.

Gretchen Carlson said that it was not Romney’s math but his quote, “I don’t have to worry about those people,” that is going to become a persistent problem for him.

Ingraham replied that Romney had to push forward with his insistence that his policies will lift all boats. She conceded that the Obama campaign and the press would use that line against Romney, but he could overcome it by insisting that his plan would raise people out of the 47 percent.

“You seem very fired up today,” Carlson noticed.

“I am,” Ingraham replied. “I’m very pumped up about this. I think it’s ridiculous that people are seizing on it and that we’re even giving all that much airtime to it, frankly”

Ingraham went on to say that she warned that if Romney did not come out of the conventions with a lead, he would be subject to attacks on his wealth and outlook.

Polls are showing Sarah Palin‘s presidential hopes– if she has them–sinking, and the time to make a decision inching nearer, or perhaps already past, if others on the right are any indication. On last night’s O’Reilly Factor, host Laura Ingraham asked Ann Coulter to assess Palin’s chances of jumping in, to which she expressed some impatience: “I think she’s terrific at what she does… but fish or cut bait here.”


Coulter joked that the Palin presidential speculation may not be over soon, as “Newt Gingrich carried it on for fifteen years,” partially due to the lackluster poll numbers. But even if her poll numbers are bad, Coulter argued, “no conservatives will criticize Palin because they don’t want to deal with the hate mail.” She explained that Palin’s supporters made a vice of their loyalty, so much so that “you say her voice is a few octaves too high… and you’ll be inundated with letters.” She later noted that while “we used to all love Sarah Palin for her enemies, I’m starting to dislike her because of her fans.”


Ingraham switched gears a bit on what was wrong with Palin as a presidential candidate, suggesting that voters were “hungry for real substance” and that Palin “had to do a lot more of the heavy lifting to be taken seriously” than she seemed interested in doing. Coulter agreed, adding that Palin “is terrific at what she does,” but when it comes to the presidential campaign, “fish or cut bait here.”


As for others that may be contemplating a run, Ingraham half-joked that it was “borderline irresponsible” for people who could potentially defeat President Obama to stay out of the race, and while Coulter agreed that all potentially viable candidates should run, added that the hurdles to jump in a campaign are significant.

Liberals Angry At Laura Ingraham For Daring To Criticize Woman Beater Chris Brown

After R&B crooner Chris Brown made an appearance in front of a reported 18,000 fans on NBC morning program The Today show as part of its Summer Concert Series this past Friday (July 15), rival network FOX News was critical of the station and singer based on Brown’s 2009 domestic dispute with then-girlfriend pop songstress Rihanna.


Over the weekend, FOX host Laura Ingraham in a clip offered quips on Brown’s turbulent past and saying that Americans were “disgusted” by his actions while criticizing his top billing on morning show's stages. Chris Brown tweeted angrily in response to the report over the weekend.


“People really should grow up sometimes! I guess the next story they make up will say "chris brown paid the fans to come! #stopit5 hahaha..,” tweeted Brown on Saturday (July 16). He followed up that post with, “Running bogus and pointless stories don't matter! My fans prove that everyday and the haters just look old as F**k !”


Brown fired off a few more tweets before thanking his followers on Twitter for supporting him and giving a shout out to his “Team Breezy” fans. It now appears that 50 Cent is also part of the team as well after firing off a supportive tweet of his own late Sunday evening.


“I just saw a clip on FOX news Hating on NBC for having chris brown on unbelievable. I'm never watching that again. He paid for his mistake #!@%*# holes,” tweeted 50 Cent. Brown responded to 50 a bit later with, “don't worry bro.. They mad because of the level of real people who live in this world. Not to mention their ratings probably sucked.”


Neither star has addressed FOX News since last night regarding the airing of the clip.

Conservatives are well aware that black liberals will believe anything they see and read from the mostly white and Leftist, lamestream press. And as they're want to do Black liberals will also support Democrats politicians regardless of the fact that they take them for granted or that over the years liberal theology (i.e. socialism or "blame the man") has only made life worse for Blacks as a whole.

Now conservative pundit Laura Ingraham does a report on why NBC would allow noted woman-beater and misogynist Chris Brown to perform on "The Today Show" and Brown and black liberals are angry at Ingraham for "not letting it go".

Of course, some of this reaction to Ingraham comes from black liberals having long been trained by the white, mainstream press to hate FOX News. But as the FOX story notes, some of it also comes from sheer and utter devotion to Brown, regardless of the fact that he beat up a famous black woman senseless and seemingly remains clueless about the ramifications of such actions judging from a handful of frightful incidents that've happened since he beat Rihanna to a pulp. Yet somehow, it's Ingraham who is the bad guy here for coming down hard on a woman beater.

MSNBC’s Ed Schultz Calls Laura Ingraham A ‘Right-Wing Slut’

Yet, another example of of the kind of toxic, hypocritical talk that goes on liberal radio and why when compared to its conservative counterparts it continues to be an utter fail:

Yeah. Apparently Ed Schultz has forgotten that he’s not on Saturday Night Live. And that it isn’t 1978. Yesterday on his radio show, Schultz decided to call Laura Ingraham a “right-wing slut.” Now, before you get all up in arms, Schultz did clarify his statement. He followed it by calling her a “talk slut.” That’s better, right? No.


Here’s his comments:


“And what do the Republicans thinking about? They’re not thinking about their next-door neighbor. They’re just thinking about how much this is going to cost. President Obama is going to be visiting Joplin, Mo., on Sunday but you know what they’re talking about, like this right-wing slut, what’s her name?, Laura Ingraham? Yeah, she’s a talk slut. You see, she was, back in the day, praising President Reagan when he was drinking a beer overseas. But now that Obama’s doing it, they’re working him over.”


Schultz was discussing Ingraham’s comments about President Obama’s trip to Europe and…you know what? The backstory really doesn’t matter here. What was he thinking? I can’t think of any possible situation where it would be ok for him to call a woman a slut. I don’t know. Maybe if Ingraham herself had walked into the studio wearing a shirt with the words “Hey, please call me a slut” written in big letters. Even then it would be a bad idea.


Look, if you don’t agree with something the woman says, you can feel free to call her an “idiot” or a “jerk” or a “big, stupid poop-face.” Whatever you want. Just don’t call her a slut, you big, stupid poop-face!


For the billionth time, when insulting someone in the media, don’t use a word that has negative connotations connected to their gender, race, religion, sexual orientation, of unchangeable physical features or handicaps. Why is this so damn difficult to understand? Ed, weren’t you just yelling at Eric Bolling for saying the President drank “forties?”

Rep. Allen West: Obama’s Deficit Speech Displayed “Third World Dictator-Like Arrogance”

Republican Congressman Allen West spoke with Laura Ingraham today on her radio show and unleashed a series of tough remarks about President Obama. Declaring “they don’t want to hear the truth” about the deficit or Obama’s job performance, West didn’t hold anything back with his criticism of the administration and left Ingraham laughing along the way.


West described why the Obama administration was shocked by the S&P warning over the US deficit:


“They’re so used to having the cheering, adoring mainstream media that is nothing more than their own cast of cheerleaders, much the same as in an episode of Glee, and that’s what they appreciate more than having real individuals sitting back and assessing this economic situation.”


Ingrham agreed that Obama is in way over his head and joked if it’s not the set of The View, then his administration gets angry with anyone who questions them. Yet West was just warming up, next turning his focus to Obama’s deficit speech performance:


“What you continue to see is a third world dictator-like arrogance, that’s what I saw in that speech last week. And look, Laura, to borrow a phrase from Reverend Jeremiah Wright, the chickens are coming home to roost. . . . This whole talk about shared prosperity I mean that really gives me the goosebumps because I’m starting to believe that a community organizer is nothing but a low-level socialist agitator.”


With suggestions that Obama resembles both a third world dictator and a low-level socialist agitator, the comparisons themselves might leave one scratching their head, but there’s little doubt that West is fired up and rhetorically ready to take on Obama’s policies moving forward. No wonder some like Glenn Beck are hoping that West himself might run for President in 2012.

Newt Gingrich Will Announce Presidential Bid By Week’s End

Forget all the partisan rhetoric and crosstalk, the only question any potential GOP candidate needs to ask themselves is 'do they seriously have what it takes to beat Barry in 2012?'. As we learned he came the backstretch to beat Billary, when it comes to playing politics no one does it better than The One. So Gingrich and anyone else who has the guts to take Barry on better realize what they're up against or they'll just go down the same road as Walter Mondale and Bob Dole:

Well this should not really come as a surprise to anyone who has been following the GOP political race closely, but ABC News is reporting that Newt Gingrich will officially announce his intention to form a presidential exploratory committee by week’s end. Gingrich currently operates his own PAC from which he publishes books and promotes his right-of-center agenda. He is also a paid analyst for Fox News, a role he will likely have to quit if in fact he runs for office.

Gingrich spokesman Rick Tyler would only say that the former speaker will make an announcement by the end of the week on forming a presidential exploratory committee. But friends of Gingrich say he has already made up his mind. Gingrich’s travel schedule is already looking like that of a presidential candidate. He will be in Iowa on Mar. 7 and ABC News has learned he will in New Hampshire Mar. 17.


Gingrich’s advisors say his campaign will have a “major presence” in Georgia, which Gingrich represented in Congress for 19 years, though they have not decided yet where his campaign headquarters will be. Gingrich has lived in northern Virginia for years.


He has been preparing and talking openly about a possible run for months.


“2010 was the appetizer. 2012 is the entrée,” Gingrich told an enthusiastic crowd at CPAC earlier this month. He will instantly be a force. He’s tireless, full of ideas and one of the most well-known Republicans in the country. Nearly two decades ago, Gingrich led the last Republican revolution, drafting the “Contract with America” that swept House Republicans into power in 1994.


Gingrich spoke at this years CPAC where he received thunderous applause from the like minded crowd for ridiculing a recent Time magazine cover that compared President Obama to Ronald Reagan, a video of which can be seen below, courtesy of ABC News.

Laura Ingraham Tells Bill O’Reilly: Meghan McCain Is A ‘Poor Man’s Ron Reagan’

If Meghan McCain was looking to put her name in the mouths of pundits for at least the foreseeable end of this news cycle, chalk up one victory to her. Her comment that Rep. Michele Bachmann was little more than a “poor man’s Sarah Palin” fronted The O’Reilly Factor tonight, where guest Laura Ingraham seemed frustrated about having to discuss McCain at all, finally concluding that it was she who was a “poor man’s Ron Reagan.”

Bill O’Reilly’s Talking Points Memo today addressed the comment in the context of the greater disputes within the Republican Party, and how they may affect the party’s chances in 2012. Using Van Jones’s comments about equality of socioeconomic outcome in America to highlight the rift between left and right, O’Reilly then addressed the rift between moderate and far-right conservatives, and, again, brought up the younger McCain as an example of what sort of public intra-party disputes could arise from it. Ingraham agreed in that there was a schism in the party, but argued that there was little need to listen to people like the elder McCain and those on his segment of the aisle. We have to go back to Bush 41, Bob Dole, and John McCain,” she joked, “because they are big winners.”

Then Ingraham had to address the younger McCain head-on, and her immediate reaction was nothing but exasperation. “Are you serious?” she asked O’Reilly as she needed to discuss her. The only reason Meghan McCain is getting any traction, God bless her, is because of her last name,” she argued. Discussing the two women McCain compared– one a longtime elected official, the other a former elected official turned reality TV star– in such terms was unproductive, she continued, as was giving McCain a voice. “Last time I checked, she was talking about a tattoo.” She then proceeded to call McCain a “poor man’s Ron Reagan.”

No love lost between these two, at least on Ingraham’s end. Interesting to see if McCain will take to the Factor’s competitor again to rebut Ingraham’s criticisms.

Tho Ingraham is often as far-Right as say Limbaugh and Malkin, it's times like this where you can really appreciate a "true conservative" putting a RINO like Meghan McCain in her place.

Laura Ingraham And Greg Gutfeld Mock Richard Engel’s Saddam ‘Moderation’ Remark

On Today last week, NBC’s Richard Engel argued that, before the US invasion of Iraq, leader Saddam Hussein was on the road to “moderation,” and that his relationships with Eastern Europe, especially, were improving. Needless to say, on Thursday’s O’Reilly Factor, Laura Ingraham and Greg Gutfeld had a field day with the idea that Hussein was a moderate.



Ingraham opened the segment suggesting Engel thought “Saddam was on the verge of having his own reality show” before the Bush administration’s decision to invade. For Gutfeld, the logic behind Engel’s comments hinged upon what the meaning of “moderation” is. “What does he mean by ‘moderate’?” he asked. “Was he talking about his alcohol intake?… Or was he only going to gas half as many Kurds, or tell his sons that they could only rape women every other weekend?”

“He was clearly going green,” Ingraham mocked, and later blamed the commentary on NBC in general: “When NBC is involved, all bets are off.” Gutfeld didn’t understand exactly why Engel was talking about this anyway: “You’ve got a war that you won; enjoy it!” But Ingraham did see the point: “We’re supposed to be America on our knees begging for mercy all the time, you don’t understand that… get used to it.” “I am, believe me, I’m married,” he retorted.

Ann Coulter And Laura Ingraham Discuss “Save The Whale, Abort The Baby” Environmentalists

Ann Coulter and O’Reilly Factor guest host Laura Ingraham made some really good points tonight while discussing Discovery Channel hostage taker James Jay Lee. Coulter said that we can’t generalize fans of Al Gore just because one of them went crazy while Ingraham admonished Liberals for generalizing Conservatives whenever another tragedy happens and the shoe’s on the other foot. Of course, these good points were slightly muddied by all the comments around them about how all environmentalists want a world without humans and love earthworms more than people and so on and so forth.


Yes, one couldn’t really be blamed for getting slightly mixed messages while watching the segment. In fact, sometimes the mixed messages seemed to come side by side like in these comments from Coulter that make a hard left turn about half way through:


“I mean, there are going to be nuts who are fans of all sorts of things out there. That church killer down in Tennessee was citing Bernie Goldberg’s book. The Craigslist killer was a fan of mine. So I don’t think you can jump quickly, the way liberals always do, to this guy was a fan of a particular political point of view and then he killed someone. But, in this case, well, there are two points to be made. One is, over all, the political violence is heavily committed by Liberals. White Liberals I might add. And, secondly, the environmentalist nuts, this is their end goal. Not just the ones who pull out the guns. It is the elimination of humans.”
