Liberal Comedian Jimmy Fallon Sandbags Michele Bachmann with "Lyin' Ass Bitch" Intro Music

I'm in the blaming both sides camp on this one. First, Bachmann's handlers for putting her on a late-night liberal comedian's show where she could only look stupid (and she did)--I mean as much as Fallon isn't one of the top names when one thinks of late-night hosts, anybody who does their research would know that Fallon's politics strongly lean Left. Then too, Bachmann just isn't good when it comes to comedy. The point being what good could've possibly come out of Bachmann's appearance here? It's the same thing I wonder about when conservatives choose to go on MSNBC knowing full well that the network serves as Barry's "reelection team"? Secondly, this was just a cowardly move on the part of Fallon and his hip-hop band the Roots--granted the Roots do have a history of using intro music to diss guests in the past who weren't conservatives, but to think if this had happened to a female Democrat politician, the outrage from the MSM would be stupedous. That said, Fallow owes Bachmann an apology and Bachmann's handlers need to do a better job at vetting people before agreeing to allow their candidate to appear on their show, much less look like a fool or risk getting sandbagged:

The dumbest part of this, of course, is the drummer tweeting about it to make sure everyone got “the joke,” which defeats the purpose of disguising the insult. If you know the media’s going to be buzzing about it tomorrow, why not just call Bachmann a “lyin’ ass bitch” to her face? At least that way she’d get to defend herself and the show wouldn’t look like it’s stabbing her in the back.


A Twitter user asked the drummer last night, “you don’t think indirectly calling a guest on your show a ‘bitch’ might blow up in your face? & maybe it should? (I’m a democrat)”. Here was the response. Fallon himself tweeted a few hours ago that the drummer is “grounded” but we’ll have to wait ’til tonight’s show to find out if that means anything more than “please stop yelling at me about Bachmann.”

Thompson is a known supporter of President Obama and has contributed to his campaign. His Twitter account features a photograph of the drummer with the president.

Fox News’ Greg Gutfeld Tells NY Times Paul Krugman To ‘Go To Hell’ Over 9/11 Column

There has been quite a reaction to Paul Krugman’s instantly infamous 9/11 blog post entitled “The Year’s of Shame.” Donald Rumsfeld claimed it caused him to cancel his New York Times subscription, Fox News has been all over it like a hawk, and, even in a column entitled “Forgive Paul Krugman For Calling 9/11 ‘An Occasion For Shame,’” our own Tommy Christopher wrote that the post featured “several stupid, wrong things in that small space.” On The Five yesterday though, Greg Gutfeld took it upon himself to sum up what he believed was the nation’s collective response: “Go to hell, Paul Krugman, you bearded bitter buffoon.”


While not using such harsh terms, the rest of the panel seemed to agree. Of course, all of them except Bob Beckel don’t like Krugman on a good day, but it was notable seeing Dana Perino clearly taking the post personally as it featured large swipes at her former boss, George W. Bush. The conversation soon turned to whether or not the New York Times even reads Krugman’s stuff before letting it run considering both the content as well as some nasty typos.


After this, The Five‘s hosts changed gears and got equally passionate about the question of whether airplane bathrooms are even big enough for the “mile high club” which, I suppose, is a pretty good distillation of the show’s appeal.

Greg Gutfeld Calls Bill Maher A "Coward"

Normally I think it's best for conservatives to put the likes of vile, leftwing cretins like Bill Maher on "Ignore", only because Maher's diatribes only speak to people who think like him (i.e. the "flapping, approval-seeking seals" in Maher's audience). But hey, at the end of the day we're all human and thus, sometimes fire just needs to be fought with fire:

While every week provides something to be outraged at, last Friday’s edition of Real Time went beyond the pale, even for Bill Maher. Maher went on a tirade against the Palins, calling them “inbred weirdos,” while his guests talked about Rep. Michele Bachmann’s sex life. On today’s The Five, the panel debated whether the phrase was an insulting reference to Trig Palin’s condition, and whether the media had ignored the show’s reprehensible commentary.


Greg Gutfeld opened the floor on the matter with a scathing monologue attempting to figure out what Maher was up to with his comments. “I’m sure that slur is a lurid explanation for a family with a disabled child,” he noted, though argued that Maher would never admit it– as he has similarly done with other comments. If Maher contends that his opinion’s aren’t sexist, he asked, “are they just hate?” Gutfeld left that question unanswered, but went further to examine Maher’s character. “So what do you make of a guy who says wrong things and then runs scampering from them?” he asked.


His initial answer was “a coward,” but he passed that label on to his audience for listening to his say what he said without protest– in fact, with applause. For them he had his harshest words: “After all, his awful statements fester unchallenged in an echo chamber, and effusive slophouse of flapping, approval-seeking seals. So let’s keep him there, just to remind us that they still exist.”


Gutfeld found no disagreement on the panel– in fact, as the clip of Maher ran, Dana Perino appears to have uttered some profanities at Maher off-microphone. Whatever she said could likely have not been more insulting that what she did say on-air: “I don’t know who stuffed this guy in a locker in high school, but this guy is such a loser,” she ranted, “I can’t imagine any woman…” The panel laughed, but did not disagree. In fact, the only discord on the panel on this point was from Bob Beckel, but not in defense of Maher– he was offended that Andrea Tantaros had equated Maher with the garden-variety liberal. “Don’t equate the rest of us with Bill Maher,” he cried.

'Red Eye' Host Greg Gutfeld Rips 'Crybaby-in-Chief' Obama for Rebuke of Fox News

Lately the Fox News Channel’s overnight program “Red Eye” has offered a plethora of media criticism – much of it dead-spot on. Last week during this his “Gregalogue” segment, host Greg Gutfeld took on the so-called “Rally to Restore Sanity” offered up by Comedy Central hosts Jon Stewart and Stephen Colbert. 

On the Sept. 29 broadcast of his show “Red Eye,” Gutfeld responded to President Barack Obama’s comments about Fox News he made during a recent interview.

“So President Obama was just interviewed in Rolling Stone magazine -- that thinning pamphlet for our country's dwindling supply of pony-tailed pensioners,” Gutfeld said. “When asked about Fox News, this is what our Commander-in-Chief had to say.”

For all the talk about conservatives lacking humor, "Red Eye" disproves that myth with every show.

Laura Ingraham And Greg Gutfeld Mock Richard Engel’s Saddam ‘Moderation’ Remark

On Today last week, NBC’s Richard Engel argued that, before the US invasion of Iraq, leader Saddam Hussein was on the road to “moderation,” and that his relationships with Eastern Europe, especially, were improving. Needless to say, on Thursday’s O’Reilly Factor, Laura Ingraham and Greg Gutfeld had a field day with the idea that Hussein was a moderate.



Ingraham opened the segment suggesting Engel thought “Saddam was on the verge of having his own reality show” before the Bush administration’s decision to invade. For Gutfeld, the logic behind Engel’s comments hinged upon what the meaning of “moderation” is. “What does he mean by ‘moderate’?” he asked. “Was he talking about his alcohol intake?… Or was he only going to gas half as many Kurds, or tell his sons that they could only rape women every other weekend?”

“He was clearly going green,” Ingraham mocked, and later blamed the commentary on NBC in general: “When NBC is involved, all bets are off.” Gutfeld didn’t understand exactly why Engel was talking about this anyway: “You’ve got a war that you won; enjoy it!” But Ingraham did see the point: “We’re supposed to be America on our knees begging for mercy all the time, you don’t understand that… get used to it.” “I am, believe me, I’m married,” he retorted.

Greg Gutfeld Takes On Liberal Smear Merchant Media Matters

It’s been only a few weeks since Media Matters Senior Fellow Eric Boehlert enacted a mutual detente with arch frenemy Andrew Breitbart, but Boehlert hasn’t shied away from making new foes, the loudest of which is Fox News’ Red Eye host (and future Muslim gay bar proprietor) Greg Gutfeld. After allegedly tweeting “EPIC FAIL” at him, Gutfeld dedicated a special Greg-a-logue (and Robot Theater!) to his new rival.


Gutfeld’s special comment didn’t only attack Boehlert, though he did take the hardest punches. It also took on the New Hampshire politicos wishing for Sarah Palin’s death online for the same thing: using social networking sites like political soapboxes. Two notes on that point: (a) ranting about adults talking like children on social networking sites and mentioning Sarah Palin without pointing out that she may be the absolutely worst offender? and (b) there is an argument to be made that, if you’re on Twitter anyway, there’s nothing wrong with using internet speak. There is no hard and fast rule for political discourse on Twitter or Facebook, and plenty of strong arguments to be made for not holding what is said on such platforms to the same standard as what one is paid to write in a publication.


That said, it’s all quite hilarious:


Where did all the grown men go? Seriously, why the hell are adult males writing like catty preteens on Facebook? Have we turned into a nation of 12 year old girls, pining for the Jonas Brothers, planning sleepovers and fighting over padded bras?… It’s not just Facebook. Seriously, how can a grown man feel compelled to write “EPIC FAIL” on a tweet? Yeah, I’m talking to you Eric Boehlert of Media Matters. You’ve gone gray: time to stop braiding the hair of your Barbie Doll.
