Mitt Romney Begins Quiet Push For Black Voters

Hey, why not? Despite giving him over 95% of their vote in 2008, the 1st Gay President has taken blacks for granted throughout his entire term, doing absolutely nothing for them while knowing full well that they'll kowtow before him once again come November (even Jeremiah Wright knows this). That said, why shouldn't Mitt Romney go after blacks who've not only developed some common sense during the last 3 years, but esp. the black, middle-class whose everyday livelihood has suffered tremendously under the Obama administration:
Mitt Romney’s campaign team has been quietly laying plans for an outreach effort to President Obama’s most loyal supporters — black voters — not just to chip away at the huge Democratic margins but also as a way to reassure independent swing voters that Romney can be inclusive and tolerant in his thinking and approach.

That plan, still in its early stages, ran headlong into the harsh political realities on the ground in Philadelphia on Thursday, when Romney was treated to a hostile welcome on his first campaign swing through a poor black neighborhood this year.

A few dozen protesters met him with chants of “Get out, Romney, get out!”

Madaline G. Dunn, 78, who said she has lived there for 50 years, said she is “personally offended” that Romney would visit her neighborhood.

“It’s not appreciated here,” she said. “It is absolutely denigrating for him to come in here and speak his garbage.”

Romney took his campaign to the Universal Bluford Charter School in West Philadelphia aiming to highlight his education agenda but also to connect with voters who were not part of his political calculus during the primary campaign. “I come to learn, obviously, from people who are having experiences that are unique and instructive,” he said.

Despite the obvious difficulties, Romney’s outreach to black voters could reap dividends even if he is unable to significantly chip into Obama’s support. “Suburban voters will be a real battleground, and upscale white voters like to think of themselves as tolerant and they won’t vote for a candidate that is seen as exclusionary, and the Romney folks must be aware of that,” said Bill Galston, a senior fellow at the Brookings Institution.

“He has to persuade suburban voters that he isn’t Rick Santorum. He could break the mold a little bit and do some campaigning in African American communities. It would get people talking, and it would be all gain and very little pain.”

Jeremiah Wright Claims Obama Campaign Bribed Him To Keep Quiet

The truth comes out....almost 4 years after "the 1st gay president" got elected:
News broke Monday of Reverend Jeremiah Wright claiming he was offered a $150,000 bribe by the Obama campaign in 2008 to keep quiet.

Wright discussed the alleged bribe in an interview with Edward Klein, the author of an unauthorized biography on Barack Obama, "The Amateur."

Wright is widely known as the Obama's former pastor in Chicago who used foul language and cursed America during his Sunday sermons. Videos of the sermons surfaced during the Iowa primaries, almost costing Obama the Democratic presidential nomination in 2008.

One of Wright's most incriminating sermons to surface during the 2008 campaign was one in which Wright said the 9/11 attacks were "America's chickens coming home to roost."

Obama was forced to publicly renounce the sermons. However, Wright is saying there was more to the story.

In an interview with Klein relayed by the New York Post, Wright said Obama arranged a meeting with him and said, "I really wish you wouldn't do any more public speaking until after the November election....I wish you wouldn't speak. It's gonna hurt the campaign if you do that."

Wright claimed one of the church members was instructed to give him an email from "one of Obama's closest friends" offering $150,000 in hush money.

Jeremiah Wright is the retired pastor of Trinity United Church of Christ in Chicago, Illinois. There has been no official response given by the Obama re-election campaign.

Liberal Journalists Plotted to Protect Barack Obama From Rev. Jeremiah Wright Scandal

A group of liberal journalists in 2008 sought to sweep under the rug the Rev. Jeremiah Wright scandal that threatened to derail then-Sen. Barack Obama's presidential campaign, according to documents obtained by The Daily Caller, an online publication founded by Tucker Carlson, a conservative contributor for Fox News.

The documents offer evidence to conservative critics who have long held that the mainstream media were in the tank for Obama, and bolsters the argument that reporters with major news outlets are biased in their coverage.

Journalists working for Time, Politico, the Huffington Post, the Baltimore Sun, the Guardian, Salon and the New Republic expressed outrage over the tough questioning Obama received from ABC anchors Charlie Gibson and George Stephanopoulos at a debate and some of them plotted to protect Obama from the swirling controversy, according to the Daily Caller.

Spencer Ackerman of the Washington Independent pressed his fellow journalists to deflect attention from Obama's relationship with Wright by shifting topics to one of Obama's conservative critics, the Daily Caller reported.

"Fred Barnes, Karl Rove, who cares – and call them racists," Ackerman wrote.
Conservatives can easily recall how much then-Senator Barack Obama ran away from race while on the campaigning for President in 2008--distancing himself from the likes of race-baiters Al Sharpton and Jesse Jackson and even going so far as to leave the church of his longtime controversial pastor Jeremiah Wright. Would it be any surprise that an MSM media long in the tank for Barry would conspire to protect their hero from Rev. Wright? Not one bit.

Reverend Jeremiah Wright: "Obama Threw Me Under The Bus"

He's baaack.

The Rev. Jeremiah Wright, Barack Obama's controversial ex-pastor, threw a hissy fit in a letter to an African aid group, claiming that the president "threw me under the bus" and the White House views him as "toxic."

In a missive obtained by the Associated Press, Wright told Africa 6000 International that the Obama administration would likely ignore his efforts to release frozen funds for use in earthquake-stricken Haiti.

"No one in the Obama administration will respond to me, listen to me, talk to me or read anything that I write to them. I am 'toxic' in terms of the Obama administration," Wright wrote the president of the Pennsylvania-based group, Joseph Prischak, earlier this year.

"I am 'radioactive,' Sir. When Obama threw me under the bus, he threw me under the bus literally!" he wrote. "Any advice that I offer is going to be taken as something to be avoided. Please understand that!"

The White House didn't respond to requests for comment Monday about Wright's remarks.
Like Rod Blagojevich, it's always nice to see one of Barry's old Chi-town homies come back to haunt him. Barry went to this guy's church for 20 years, but now that he's the HNIC attempting to push through a radically white, liberal agenda, Barry treats the guy like cancer. But Jeremiah Wright isn't going to be some Vera Baker (the women Barry allegedly had an affair with some years ago, but who has suddenly gone into "seclusion"), no Jeremiah's making sure he can be as much of a headache to Barry as he can while reminding Black liberals of all the promises he made to his Black base that have yet to come to fruition. Good for him.

Is Reverend Jeremiah Wright On Hillary Clinton's Payroll?

I'm sure that some (esp. the Billary supporters) might think it's a reach, but as desperate as Hillary is to win the nomination, why should anyone take for granted that her ops haven't reached out to Rev. Wright, who seems to be deliberately trying to spoil Barack's chance for the presidency with his tirades of late. Newt Gingrich seems to agree:

ABC News' Nitya Venkataraman Reports: In a Tuesday appearance on Good Morning America, former House Speaker Newt Gingrich, R-Ga., suggested that controversial pastor Rev. Jeremiah Wright is angry with parishioner Sen. Barack Obama, D-Ill., and may be deliberately trying to hurt his presidential bid.

Saying that Wright "went out of his way to weaken Obama" during Monday's address at the National Press Club, Gingrich told Barbara Walters "I think Reverend Wright has a greater interest in his self-importance."

Gingrich described Obama former pastor as "hard-line anti-American", and said "if Rev. Wright continues to talk that the burden that Sen. Obama carries becomes bigger and bigger. "

Gingrich described Obama's challenges as "two-fold", citing "left-wing relationships" calling the Illinois senator "disingenuous" about them.

Reverend Jeremiah Wright On Bill Moyers

Yes, Bill Moyers is a left-wing hack and I can understand the sentiment of some Obama supporters that he's better off saying nothing amidst all the controversy, Rev. Wright does make some good points about the power of the media to manipulate comments and the fact that at the end of the day Barack Obama is nothing more than a politician, something I've said earlier on this blog:
